The car I choose had a tear on the drivers side door, Richard said they would have it fixed. fast forward to March 18th my daughter took my car in to have it fixed So now we are in the Pandemic of the covid-19 on the 22 of March I called discount to see if my car was done, no answer 15 mins I called no answer. So I called Richard on his personal cell phone and he informed me they were closed due to the virus. But he went out of his way on his time to find out if my car was done and it was so Richard gave me the address to where my car was. Unfortunately Carmax cancelled the reservation three times. Each time I had to call to have the reservation reinstated. Today, my sister-in-law drive from OKC to Fort Worth to see the car. I drove from Sugar Land Texas. Before Arriving at Carmax, I telephoned to advise I would be paying cash by wire transfer from my bank. After arriving at Carmax at 11:30 am today, my sister-in-law did a test drive and was ready to conclude the purchase. After a one hour wait, we were advised Carmax would not release the car if we paid my wire transfer. At 2:00 pm I arranged for my bank in Houston to issue a cashier's check at their Fort Worth branch. We were advised the local branch would be closing at 3:00 pm today. We returned to Carmax at 2:30 pm and handed them the cashier's check. They spent the next 20 minutes trying validate the check drawn on Merrill Lynch! Finally at 3:51 pm we were allowed to take delivery of the car. Only a 4 hour wait. This was my third purchase from Carmax and unfortunately my last.

At first, it was small fixes, but over time, these turned into major repairs--totaling nearly $10,000 within six months. When I reached out to the dealership a couple of months after my purchase to express my concerns and ask for a thorough inspection, I was told that because two months had passed, they couldn't do anything. It's clear that these issues existed before I bought the car, yet I was left to deal with the financial burden. I feel like I was sold a lemon, and I'm extremely disappointed. Unfortunately, I am now stuck with this car, but I want to warn others to be very careful when purchasing from this dealership. Dillion and Ace made it smooth from start to finish. From the moment I connected on the phone, Dillion ensured he would take care of us and earn our business. He got me connected with Ace and they were both extremely responsive. We did all negotiations over the phone and Ace even drove an hour in traffic to drop off the car to the Sisters so they would not have to come to the car dealership. It never felt pushy and they were okay to lose business if we genuinely found a better deal elsewhere - although they just matched whatever I found and took care of us from the jump.
