I ordered a Mercedes Benz and they gave me $100 off the price. I paid $700 for the car to be shipped to me which was originally supposed to take 2-3 days max delivery from Texas to California. It's Monday now and I haven't received the car. It's weird because the dealer and the shipper keep telling me it'll arrive "today" every single day. Well today finally came after all of the dealer and shipper drama. The Benz paint was all covered in some sort of orange sticky oil or transmission fluid as the truck above it the last week has been dripping and leaking. And the cherry on top is that the shipper refused to give me the car because the dealer hadn't paid the shipper the delivery cost. Ridiculous. A car dealer that doesn't know how to deliver a car. After payment has been made. The worst car buying experience of my lifetime. The dealer called me this morning threatening me and calling me a shitty person after all they put ME through . I am filing complaints with: * Texas Department of Motor Vehicles * Texas Attorney General's Office * Better Business Bureau *Federal Trade Commission and contacting my attorney now. I should have followed my gut. On a Saturday, I found 2 vehicles here. A Macan and a G63. With cash in hand, I tried to test drive. Ivan said, "we close in 30 min. Come back Monday." Mondays are busy, so I called Ivan back mid-day, and he said it's better to come by Tuesday. Monday night we ended up buying G63 at Sewell - incredible experience. Tuesday morning at around 8am I ask for a buyer's order for the Macan, so I can get a cashier's check. Ivan texts me an hour later, "the finance manager is sick but we can still make the deal today". Of course he asked for a deposit over the phone, before I could test drive - odd. I agree to head over for a test drive within the hour. As I'm walking out, he texts me to say there's an oil leak, so I can't test drive until Thursday. On Thursday I see online the car was sold. He didn't even call to say, we have other cars if you're interested. Thursday night we bought a new Macan Plano, another great experience. Much like the street this is located on this place is shady. Ended up buying a car from them, and overall it's fine, but it's obvious they tried to hide some damage in the back. They used masking tape, some non matching paint and had the rear wiper on upside down (It was literally wiping the painted portion of the rear). My first clue should have been when I showed up from 4 hours south to test drive it and the radio and seat didn't even work. (They did fix the seat and radio after about a week of trying to negotiate with them about it) How was this not noticed by them before trying to sell? But all in all, some of that was on me. The part that really makes them 1 star for me is how shady their sales guy Scott is. I spent two months trying to call and text to get the things that they forgot to ship with the car. Literally just needed them to send me a box with the extra key fob and rear head rest that mysteriously vanished from the vehicle between the time I test drove it and it shipping. 2 months of him promising he would send it, and then 2 or 3 times it was "in the mail", and yet somehow, I never got the items. I've tried to call them to talk to someone else, but he screens the calls. Thank god I don't seem to have a lemon, but I would suggest trying elsewhere in case you aren't as lucky. They can't even send me a box in the mail, they certainly won't help you with anything else. read more

The repair shop in Plano performed work from a "We Owe" document that was part of the sale of a BMW 335i, originated by their Preston Road sales location. The "We Owe" was to fix everything from a pre-purchase inspection at cost, which included addressing Valvetronic OBD codes. After I dropped off the vehicle, the manager of the shop told me that the Valvetronic codes were not important. All of the other repairs were performed in a timely fashion. The day after I picked up the car, the charge pipe broke, causing the car to run very poorly. And about a week after the charge pipe was fixed, the Valvetronic issues that the manager claimed were so innocuous suddenly became quite hazardous, as the car's throttle would randomly stop responding, causing me to have to coast to the side of the highway and restart the engine. Both the charge pipe and Valvetronic issues were fixed by a different shop. I had no appetite to haggle for quality repair services from VDO, which should have been delivered the first time out. The staff at VDO is friendly and responsive. Perhaps they do great work on VW cars, but I would definitely never take my BMW back there. Like the name says, "VW only". read more

Ive had the local chevy dealer and a local diesel shop check it out. 100% flood. It has major mechanical isssues and shops are recommending not fixing due to high cost. MAN FUCK THIS PLACE. I WAS EXTREMELY PATIENT WITH THEM AND THIS IF INFURIATING. I VISITED THIS PLACE 4 TIMES INQUIRING ABOUT A 2015 Genesis and worked with Salesman frank, what a POS. The whole process was two weeks I Test drove the vehicle liked it but noticed some issues such as the backup camera was missing, the fuel door had Velcro holding it shut, and the sunroof needed to be greased. No big deal. Frank said he'd give me a discount for the backup camera and that I could purchase a aftermarket one for cheaper than OEM. No big deal. He had his mechanic come out in front of me and look at the sunroof and said it needed to be greased. After asking me several times if I was ready to make a offer I said after the repairs I offered 19K. I originally walked into this dealership stating I know I want this vehicle I already have outside financing. The vehicle was listed at 19,900. After seeing everything I offered 19k. Frank said we'll see after the repairs and I'll call you back. I called several times left left my number never received a callback. I called back and Frank stated that they ordered a camera and they were still working on the vehicle. No big deal. Assuming maybe shipping took a week or so I stopped calling, like if it hasn't shipped what what can they do? My credit union has been blowing me up trying to get the purchase order from frank and he was being weird about it. So I went back to the dealership today to check on the vehicle to be met by Frank who looked as if he had never seen me before, that's when Frank told me he sold the vehicle to someone else this morning. I sold my vehicle waiting for their response so I could pick it up. I would never recommend this dealership to anyone ever and I'll post a review on every outlet I can. Frank be better man. I will say that I was very leery about purchasing a used car from a small independent dealer. This experience wasn't even close to what I expected. I was contacted by Jason after I had filled out a credit app online with an approval up to a certain amount. This was within the range of the car I was looking at so I made arrangements to come down and see the car in a few days. Unfortunately the car sold before I was about to get down there but Jason called me to let me know this so I did not make a wasted trip. We discussed the inventory he had and he also told me that if I was set on a certain make and model that he would keep an eye out for one and let me know when one came in. I ended up finding a car on their website that I like and went down to test drive it. Jason is a friendly and very casual guy. The dealership itself is a very casual atmosphere so do not expect suits and ties. Jason pulled the car out of the warehouse that it was parked in and I took it for a test drive. When I returned, I mentioned a couple of concerns with the car and Jason let me know that he would make sure that I was completely satisfied with the car when I purchased it. The paperwork was easy and very straight forward and Jason made good on his commitment that I would be satisfied. The day after I got the car home, one of the issues returned and event though Jason and I discussed that I was buying the car as-is, he had be bring the car back, gave me a loaner to drive and had the issue fixed. He was not obligated to do this but he still did. For me, this was a great experience. Jason was great to work with, completely up front and I felt comfortable with his answers to my questions. Upon buying the car right off the bat the car was not safe enough to drive without getting new rotors and brakes, they threw an absolute fit over providing proper maintenance to a car they're trying to sell. I thought you know it's really not that big of a deal in our current market finding another one would be impossible. I couldn't have been anymore wrong, I've owned my car for 1 year and 1 month. In the time I've owned the vehicle I've had to replace motor mounts, a rack and pinion, serpentine belts, crankshaft pulley, secondary air injection pump, shifter bushings, spark plugs, and I can't forget about the clutch I had to replace after the first month of ownership. Say I drive hard on it all you want, I baby my vehicle like it's still new off the lot. I wouldn't even ask these guys for a carfax let alone a car. read more

The customer service was great and they were very willing to work with us. However, the car we purchased is not in the best shape. We have barely had the car a year and we have already had to purchase 4 new tires, fix an oil leak, and the glove compartment is missing the handle. We were promised that they would replace the glove compartment within a couple of weeks at no charge, but nothing ever surfaced from that. We have already spent about $1500 in maintainance on this car and are facing another $1500 in further maintainence within the next month. This is all on top of car payments and insurance. If you choose to purchase a vehicle from these people, make sure to look over everything thoroughly and anything that needs to be fixed on the car, make sure they put it in writing that they will fix it and hold them to it. I recently purchased a VW from VDubs Only, I know everyone else is talking about repairs so I thought I'd give this side of the story. My sales guy, I think, was the manager or owner, Peyman. He was super friendly, honest, flexible, and knowledgeable. I live in Austin and ran across their website with a VW I was interested in. I called them up, asked if the car was still there, and visited them the following Saturday. Once I got to VDubs Only, I was impressed to find said VW on the showroom floor- like it was waiting on me! Peyman let me drive it off the showroom floor and even let me take it to lunch! His price on the car was $3k+ less than Boardwalk, or anywhere else for that matter, I had researched. I knew it was already a good low price when I walked in. My trade in was also a VW so Peyman knew his stuff. I had received 2 quotes from CarMax and Peyman offered the same amount they did. I can't say enough about the quality of the service and the absolute attention to customer service. They actually care. In our situation, we had the car serviced by the very upscale dealer, at a very high cost, and found out they had not only done a terrible job of installing the brakes and forgetting some assembly bolts (leaving the brakes place there but but actually bolted in place, resulting in a life threatening condition) but had charged us a LOT of money for the privilege. These guys identified the problem, showed us the problem, fixed it and then didn't charge us an arm and a leg. They were understanding, wrote up the analysis succinctly for us to take back to the dealer, and (seemingly) undercharged us for the labour to fix someone else's mistake. We are definitely going to use them again for both of our German car repairs and maintenance. read more

Shady and dishonest practices. I needed financing and explained ALL my credit issues and my scores. Was told to go ahead and fill credit app and have credit pulled. AFTER, I was told by Pete the Finance manage that the prices listed were "cash prices" that's how they get people in...so, for my poor credit I would need to pay a $1400 "bank fee" plus 24% interest. I understand the interest and agreed to the 24% but was upset I wasn't told about a possible OUTRAGEOUS fee before having credit pulled and wasting time..not talking about a couple hundred dollars. Did I get an apology for this not being explained about a fee that's 15% of the cars price and have credit pulled unnecessarily? No, just a -you decided to do the app at you're free will- from good old Pete. I've NEVER written a review but reporting this to the BBB for dishonest practices. read more

I bought a 2013 Passat from this dealership sight unseen, and had it shipped through the dealership, Scott charged me for a spare key which was never made or included with the car, it took almost a month before the car was delivered and it only ran 15 minutes after it was unloaded then it died on the highway and I had to have it towed. Best place to get your vdub serviced without getting ripped off by the dealer. I 1st went to these guys when boardwalk VW (now autonation vw) quoted me over $1000 in repairs for all sorts of urgently required flushes, services etc. I took it to vdubs only and they helped me understand what really was required and at what mileage level it was required. They also told me the my brake pads had a good 10k miles left (which they easily lasted for) in them and that the dealer was probably trying to rip me off. With their advice and service, my car has put on over 60k miles and still drives like brand new. I've been taking my car to them ever since and they consistently go above and beyond to fix and service it while still being significantly cheaper than any dealer. Recently my car spun out in the snow and I hit the curb really hard. I took it to vdubs only and they thoroughly inspected it and only charged $60 for a diagnostic fee and were able to determine there was no damage to the rear axle and suspension apart from a heavily scuffed rim. I'm pretty sure a dealer would have charged more than double for a diagnostic and still mysteriously found copious amounts (read $$$$$) of damage. Thanks for being awesome vdubs only! read more

Purchased 2013 VW CC in February 2019 and was overall a good experience. Two of the staff seem to be playing good cop/bad cop so make sure you address every issue up front (credit, financing, any issue w/the vehicle). In my experience, everything they said they would fix they did fix (ex: ding on the hood that they couldn't take care of at time of sale). I was told to come back in a couple of weeks and was expecting to get screwed, but it was perfectly fixed PLUS they fixed a headlight that was not functioning properly and was missed during the daytime test drive. Did they have to fix it? No, it was two weeks after the deal was made. Did they take care of it and make me glad I bought the car. Yes and Yes. And just recently in June 2019 (yes more than five months later) I found out the wheels had locks on them and had no wheel lock, good cop Scott took care of the situation AGAIN. I went to Vdubs Only because I wanted to do a basic A/C checkup to make sure everything looked good. There was nothing wrong with my system, but with the hot weather upon us, I didn't want to take any chances of anything happening down the road. When I got there, I got a bad vibe right away from the Indian or Pakistani guy who runs the place because of the way he was talking to me. I should have just left. I went ahead and let them check my car. They told me that there were no leaks and everything looked fine mechanically, but they said that they wanted to charge my A/C with freon to top it off. I told them that my A/C is blowing ice-cold air and I don't see why that would be needed, so I turned down the freon charge. I told them I just wanted them to give it a good look over in case they saw anything that was wearing down. When I got in my car, and drove off, my A/C was blowing hot air! I turned around to go back, and that's when I noticed a cigarette burn on the leather of my passenger seat! When I got back there, they argued with me for 20 minutes and absolutely refused to do anything about what had happened. The manager/owner actually said, "That's your problem now." He finally got in my face and said, "get out of here if you know what's good for you!" I didn't want things to escalate to such a physical level like that, so I left. The next day I took my car to Metro Volkswagen and they showed me that the cap was missing where you can fill freon (or release freon!). They did a thorough check of my entire A/C system and there were no leaks of any sort. I had only been to Vdubs prior to the system's freon being lost. It's obvious to me that they had released the freon out of my system to try to get me to pay them to refill it! And on top of that, I have to pay to have the leather of my seat replaced because of their cigarette burn! I'm surprised they are still in business with such practices!
