Vehicle I saw online that I was interested in

Do NOT spend your money here. After walking in, no acknowledgement and wondering around for a bit, I was finally greeted buy a gentleman in a sling who proceeded to ask what I was there for. After I informed him of the vehicle I wished to see, and showed interest in wanting to see the vehicle, he then proceeds to say "You can go ahead and look at it". You can only imagine my confusion. At this point, My presumption is that, as with any other dealership,he would ask a few more questions, that he was going to give me more details and then actually show the car. Nah, he literally "sent" me to go look at the vehicle from which he unlocked from the inside of the facility. I walked to my truck. Sad news is, I have cash in hand. Literally.

I bought a 2008 Ford Expedition from here back in October 2017 and it was just recently in a wreck. I got a call from the auto repair shop and was informed the vehicle is flood victim vehicle. Do not buy from this place ever and dont fall for the vehicle report because I did and now look at the situation I am in. In the pictures the body and repair guy showed me where the water reached to the expedition and it was right where mid center of the radiator.

Short version- overall the car was fine and made the 1200 mile trip without issue, but the dealer details...well, they blow. Long version- I was targeting a specific low mileage year/make/model and stumbled across their listing half the country away. They had what I wanted and knew it from the beginning. Called to see if I could get a PPI performed. Sure, but we won't take the car for you, "do you have family local?" Called back a couple days later and the owner agrees but only if I authorize them a copy of the report. Asks how I'm going to pay cuz it's an older vehicle that can be a problem getting financed. I assure him that I can pay cash if the inspection goes well. Ok, gets inspected and I'm told that it's one of the cleanest they've seen, codes hadn't been reset, but the battery was original (2010) and needed to replaced/registered and the oil service is due- stated on the inspection report. The inspection, performed by Bimmers Only who came highly recommended on BMW forums, is another story that will be on another review, failed to mention mismatch tires, blown hood struts etc. Owner (mgr?) agrees to battery replacement but later won't pay for registering ($75). He won't move much on the vehicle price cuz he knows he has me and says the profit margin is too small to go any further. Insert eyeroll here lol. Says oil service has been performed but no one reset the computer so who knows what oil/filter was used. I'm flying from FL to TX, but they won't pick me up from the airport. Snapshot of itinerary, them what time I'll be there, arrive exactly on-time, and the car isn't even on the lot. It's back at Bimmers Only for battery register which was setup days prior and I'm paying for btw. I mean, you had a snapshot of my travel reservations and you can't have the car ready to go. We then go get the car so I can inspect/test drive etc...and of course it shows less than 20 miles of fuel remaining. After a thorough inspection I agree to purchase and mention that there's zero gas in it and I'm starting my trip back to FL that night. A worker grabs a key fob that fails to do anything, replaces battery, and is on his way. Get ready to head back to FL and they graciously put a 1/4 tank of fuel in for me...a guy who just flew in from FL. Then they send it to 'detail' for final cleaning. I'm like, "I'm leaving on a 1200 mile trip as soon as we're done here, no need to clean." And let's be honest, 'cleaning' is nothing more than spraying more slimy/gooey crap everywhere. Get out on the road, familiarizing myself with the car, perform a vehicle status check which comes up with an oil over service warning, get to the nearest dealer for resolution. For those that don't know, overfull can be worse than being low. My mistake for assuming the PPI would've caught something like this...? Have to end the drive early, find a hotel, then someplace that can service it first thing in the morning. Let my salesman (Ricky-Ric) know and get a who-gives-a-shit 'sorry' about that and the fuel, it was the owner's call. This was two months ago so I'm sure there's a lot that I'm forgetting but you get the gist. Not my first time flying to pickup a desired rig, but after this shady/janky BS crapshoot, it'll probably be my last. https://www.texascarz.com/vehicle-details/2010-bmw-650i-convertible-67a8260fa3a04551a50ac8c7cfe9c943

From the first call to the moment I drove off, everything felt straightforward, honest, and actually enjoyable--which is rare when buying a car. The inventory is on a completely different level. You can tell these guys are true car enthusiasts, not just a typical dealership trying to push units. The car I purchased was exactly as described--no surprises, no games. They were transparent about everything and encouraged me to get a PPI, which gave me even more confidence in the purchase. The whole team was professional but still very laid back. No pressure at all, just good conversation and real knowledge about the cars they sell. Paperwork was quick and smooth, and they handled everything efficiently. What stood out the most is how much they actually care about the customer experience. You're not just another deal to them--they take pride in what they do, and it shows. If you're even thinking about buying a car from RPM Garage, just do it. I'll definitely be back for my next one.

After that fiasco I decided to visit RPM garage and look at their inventory, and they have some really nice cars! If you go here ask for Trinity, he was super helpful and communicative. He practically restored my faith in car dealerships. He even was kind enough to take the car to get a PPI (any dealership worth their salt should let you PPI a car), it underwent a full inspection including bore scoping, and he even paid to have the spark plugs changed out of his own pocket! RPM has a real nice showroom, if you're a car guy or just anyone who likes fast and good looking cars, you won't regret stopping by here! Super happy with my new (to me) Porsche! Edit: to the 0 start reviews, these are used cars and NOT certified pre-owned cars. The condition of the car is entirely dependent on how well it was maintained by the previous owners, that is why you pay the $200 and get a PPI (pre-purchase inspection) so you're not left with thousands in repairs. Thought this was common knowledge...

For example, one of the other car dealerships prevented us from taking the car to an independent mechanic! You know they were hiding something with the car. Mike, it was a pleasure doing business with you. Thank you for selling us the newest car in our company fleet! P.S. There was some minor issues but the most glaring was the check engine light. David said the issues would be taken care of, go to lunch and come back in a couple of hours. He called me and said they needed a part that would not be there until Monday. David paid for my flight home and said the truck would be shipped to me. I received the truck late the next week. When driving from where I received the truck, the check engine light came on. I notified him of this issue and he said to have it fixed locally and he would reimburse me. It has been several months and many texts and calls and still no reimbursement. Up until this point, David lived up to his word but I am extremely disappointed to have to write a partial negative review due to not receiving this promised reimbursement. In addition, the check engine issue took two times to resolve, the second requiring an additional cost which I decided to absorb thinking I would get the promised reimbursement. In closing, David did live up to his word on everything until this reimbursement issue so I can't give a 5 star review due to this

It's Monday now and I haven't received the car. It's weird because the dealer and the shipper keep telling me it'll arrive "today" every single day. Well today finally came after all of the dealer and shipper drama. The Benz paint was all covered in some sort of orange sticky oil or transmission fluid as the truck above it the last week has been dripping and leaking. And the cherry on top is that the shipper refused to give me the car because the dealer hadn't paid the shipper the delivery cost. Ridiculous. A car dealer that doesn't know how to deliver a car. Of course he asked for a deposit over the phone, before I could test drive - odd. I agree to head over for a test drive within the hour. As I'm walking out, he texts me to say there's an oil leak, so I can't test drive until Thursday. On Thursday I see online the car was sold. He didn't even call to say, we have other cars if you're interested. Thursday night we bought a new Macan Plano, another great experience.
