I debated on writing this, but feel like if I can help a single parent such as myself out there, or any parent for that matter, then it will be worth it. I felt good about it, so my daughter and I made the trip from AR to TX to purchase her first car. The staff was extremely friendly. We test drove the car, seemed fine. We drove the car home and it seemed fine other than the headlights not working properly. Small things, and we brushed it off. We purchased this car on a Saturday and the following Monday, the entire engine blew in it. I haven't even made one payment on the car yet. So now I'm out the purchase price as well as the almost $10,000 it has cost me to have a new engine put in it, putting me in extreme financial debt. I could have purchased a newer car for that price. The dealership offered to rebuild it at their cost IF I would ship it back to them and then back to me. I guess I'm here to say, have someone go with you who works on cars and have them pull the oil pan and do a compression check (not hard tasks) to see if the engine is bad before you purchase the vehicle. For $26,000, I definitely did not get my monies worth. I also asked for them to come down on their asking price b/c the car blue booked for almost $2,000 less than their asking price. They said the car was at fair value and wouldn't budge over a couple of hundred dollars. Then added a "misc" fee in there to make up the difference they thought they lost. Bummer of a deal. Sold me a vehicle in Feb 2025 been in the shop more than on the road. Open recall that states DO NOT DRIVE, was not informed. Check engine light came on, while driving home from purchase. They paid for a sensor replacement, then other things started happening. Starter replaced, they claimed to not know what happened to the original keys. After market keys stopped working, stranded in a parking garage, had to pay $1360 to get new system and keys, manifold replaced, wiring had to be redone. Mechanic said wires were bypassed and connected enough to drive. Over $3k spent so far and now broke down AGAIN! Too much I would give a 0 but I can't. read more

What started out as a very smooth transaction with Texas Carz has turned into a nightmare trying to get a vehicle I purchased from them delivered from Dallas to Austin. Throughout the buying process, Zak Salimi, my sales rep was very helpful as I was actually on vacation when my son found the car and he was able to put a deposit down on it 3/6/23 to hold it until I returned. On 3/15/23 the sale was completed and the funds for the full purchase price were transferred from my bank to Texas Carz. $300.00 of the deposit paid by my son was to be used towards the shipping costs for delivery from Dallas to Austin. This is where the smooth buying process turned issues into extremely poor customer service. On Friday morning 3/17, I sent Zak a text to ask for an update on when the delivery would be scheduled. He responded "Most likely will be picked up on Monday morning and should be at your end the same day, maximum day after. I will confirm later today. Thank you" On Saturday morning 3/18, I sent a text to inquire about the status of the replacement of the damaged front grill and two scratches on the vehicle which he promised would be taken care of. He responded, "Front grill should reach us on Monday morning and will be taken care of." I received no update or confirmation of vehicle pick-up on Monday 3/20. On Tuesday 3/21 at 11:44 am once again I sent Zak a text to ask for an update thinking surely the vehicle would be delivered that afternoon or Wednesday at the latest. I informed him at that time that I had work-related travel coming up and would be out of state from very early Thursday morning until Saturday afternoon. He responded "Grill received today. We will request dispatch today too. Let you know in a couple of hours ma'am" At 1:25 pm that afternoon I received a text from Zak asking me to confirm my delivery address (which had been previously provided by email). Did not receive an acknowledgment, so at 5:11 pm I sent a text asking for confirmation that he received the address. He responded "Yes, I did, and just waiting for dispatch to confirm pick-up. Thank you." Wednesday 3/22/23 at 8:40 am I sent a follow-up text to again reiterate that I would be leaving for out of town on an early flight Thursday morning and unless the vehicle would be delivered that afternoon I would not be available to take delivery. He responded, "I am sorry for the slight delay. Dispatch has already been requested yesterday and the car MIGHT be picked up today, I will be in the office in about 45 minutes. I will let you know as soon as we get in if dispatch can be postponed to Monday which I agreed to because it was very apparent that the vehicle would not be delivered that afternoon.. At 10:58 am text received from him "We postponed dispatch to Monday ma'am." I asked will it actually be delivered on Monday or is that when it will be picked up so that I can arrange with my employer to work from home that day, No response from him until 4:32 pm Wednesday in a text that said "Car will be picked up on Monday. Will reach you either late Monday or Tuesday morning. Thank you." Tuesday 3/27/23. Again, no update or communication from Zak. At 12:46 pm, I sent a text asking if the vehicle had been picked up for delivery to Austin. His response was, "It will be today. I will confirm soon. No confirmation was received, so I called him and was told that the vehicle would be picked up for sure on Wednesday morning and would be delivered probably no later than 2 pm. On 3/28/23 at 10:23 am, I sent a text asking him to please confirm that the vehicle had been picked up and would be delivered. After receiving no response at 12:06 pm I called but got no answer (nor was I able to leave a voice mail message) so I sent a follow-up text at 12:10 pm asking if there was someone else that I could speak with who could help and provide me with an update. His text response was "Sorry was not able to answer the phone ma'am. From the morning I have been working to get the car picked up today as promised by dispatch, Unfortunately, and for an unknown reason, they canceled the order. I am working with another dispatch to pick it up today. I will confirm very soon. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused." I again voiced my frustration and displeasure at the lack of communication and delays with the delivery of the vehicle and at 12:31 pm after speaking with my son who suggested that we hire another delivery company I called Zak back and at that time he informed me that he had just confirmed delivery for 3/29/23 and would send me a text of the confirmation manifest. Service after the sale certainly goes a long way and, in this case, that is sorely lacking on the part of Texas Carz. What started out as a very pleasant experience has definitely left a bad taste in my mouth and there is no way that I could in good faith recommend this dealership to anyone looking to purchase a new car. read more

He sold me a vehicle with a bad transmission and 4 horrible tires! Not even 30 days into the purchase the transmission light and tire light came on. I contacted Rick by text and NO RESPONSE. This salesman assured me that this was a good vehicle. I then contacted him regarding these issues by phone. He was rude and told me to take it up with the finance company because it wasn't under warranty. Short version- overall the car was fine and made the 1200 mile trip without issue, but the dealer details...well, they blow. Long version- I was targeting a specific low mileage year/make/model and stumbled across their listing half the country away. They had what I wanted and knew it from the beginning. Called to see if I could get a PPI performed. Sure, but we won't take the car for you, "do you have family local?" Called back a couple days later and the owner agrees but only if I authorize them a copy of the report. Asks how I'm going to pay cuz it's an older vehicle that can be a problem getting financed. I assure him that I can pay cash if the inspection goes well. Ok, gets inspected and I'm told that it's one of the cleanest they've seen, codes hadn't been reset, but the battery was original (2010) and needed to replaced/registered and the oil service is due- stated on the inspection report. The inspection, performed by Bimmers Only who came highly recommended on BMW forums, is another story that will be on another review, failed to mention mismatch tires, blown hood struts etc. Owner (mgr?) agrees to battery replacement but later won't pay for registering ($75). He won't move much on the vehicle price cuz he knows he has me and says the profit margin is too small to go any further. Insert eyeroll here lol. Says oil service has been performed but no one reset the computer so who knows what oil/filter was used. I'm flying from FL to TX, but they won't pick me up from the airport. Snapshot of itinerary, them what time I'll be there, arrive exactly on-time, and the car isn't even on the lot. It's back at Bimmers Only for battery register which was setup days prior and I'm paying for btw. I mean, you had a snapshot of my travel reservations and you can't have the car ready to go. We then go get the car so I can inspect/test drive etc...and of course it shows less than 20 miles of fuel remaining. After a thorough inspection I agree to purchase and mention that there's zero gas in it and I'm starting my trip back to FL that night. A worker grabs a key fob that fails to do anything, replaces battery, and is on his way. Get ready to head back to FL and they graciously put a 1/4 tank of fuel in for me...a guy who just flew in from FL. Then they send it to 'detail' for final cleaning. I'm like, "I'm leaving on a 1200 mile trip as soon as we're done here, no need to clean." And let's be honest, 'cleaning' is nothing more than spraying more slimy/gooey crap everywhere. Get out on the road, familiarizing myself with the car, perform a vehicle status check which comes up with an oil over service warning, get to the nearest dealer for resolution. For those that don't know, overfull can be worse than being low. My mistake for assuming the PPI would've caught something like this...? Have to end the drive early, find a hotel, then someplace that can service it first thing in the morning. Let my salesman (Ricky-Ric) know and get a who-gives-a-shit 'sorry' about that and the fuel, it was the owner's call. This was two months ago so I'm sure there's a lot that I'm forgetting but you get the gist. My insurance company sent me to Texas Carz for bumper repair. They had to paint the bumper two times and still you can tell that it was repaired and finish is not the best. The worse part is that they scratched plastic trim on door, sprayed clear coat in other parts of the car, as they didn't bother to protect the other areas when they applied the paint and didn't want to fix new damages they made. Very unprofessionals. Insurance said that those damages are not part of the original claim and I have to get answers from them. They didn't have the courtesy to wash or vacuum the car when returned. I had a positive overall experience with the Sales Process the saleman Mr Rick really went to bat for me a very ethical man with integrity but there were some issues with the vehicle from the start the tires on the vehicle were not in the best shape and to be fair the dealer did offer to replace the worst one and they did but it was replaced with a tire smaller than what was originally on the vehicle so I had one mismatch tire compared to the other ones. The other thing that made me a little skeptical was the vehicle was advertised with 65k miles but when I purchased it there was 67k on the odometer a few weeks later I noticed there was smoke coming from the engine found out it was a bad valve cover gasket and a bad coil that I had to pay for now to be fair they fixed the coil at no cost and offering to charge me there dealership cost to repair the car but I am still on the hook for the cost to fix the vehicle Be sure to have your car inspected before purchasing because this company does not inspect their cars for any mechanical defects. Also, be prepared to buy the car as is I would suggest a presale inspection on any used car. read more

Saw a Panamera online. List price was 40k. Did the pre-approval before even going to the dealership. Talked to a Luis. He was nice, but he was new. Went in to check the car out. Car was on the showroom floor. Paint was horrible. Inside was dirty. Car was leaking oil in several places. I advised them they would need to fix that before I even considered a purchase. I was first told I couldn't test drive the vehicle without talking to the manager. That I needed to fill out an application. Which I already did as well as submitted trade-in vehicle information to skip the bs. They sit me down in the managers office and he comes in. Saying He's not going to pull the car out unless I give him $500. Then if I didn't like the car he would keep my money. What a load of crap. This guy needs to be fired as a manager. What a janky ass dealership. He asked me how my credit was, and I told him it was excellent. Again as I've already filled out the online information he was still resistant to work with me even with a test drive. I told them to just forget about it, and left. Then he's trying to ask the guys that we're doing nothing to pull the car out. These guys don't want to sell cars. Be sure to have your car inspected before purchasing because this company does not inspect their cars. Also, be prepared to be low balled when negotiating flagged items listed on the presale inspection. Before leaving the dealership, be sure to have the maintenance plan completely spelled out, and card in hand before leaving. I gave them a 2 because they want to do business. I bought a car from this company five months ago have already had to have the fuel pump replaced over $1000. Now it's back in the shop and the mechanics said that the codes were just cleared before the car was sold to me. I have had problems since the day it was purchased. It needs new catalytic converter's new oxygen sensors and the computer system needs to be fixed the car needs to be sent off so that the computer can be repaired. The mechanics said this vehicle is on it's last leg. Cost of repairs is $4000. I am very unhappy with the way Texas Carz has handled it I will make sure nobody ever does business with this company . $4000 is half of what the car is worth. This is the worst car dealership I have ever done business with. They are dishonest in their business practices. Please be careful as you do business with them and find other dealerships to do business with. I purchased a GLK350 from them that should have been in a great shape, according to the salesman Rimenz. I asked him about the condition of the vehicle and if it had any issues that I needed to know about, he said no issues, any dents or paint damages, he said none. Upon receipt of the car, over 10 paint damages, dents on the door, the gas gauge did not work, and after I was told that the vehicle had 81000 miles, I received the car with 82950 miles on it. I contacted them immediately with the photos of all the damages, and the issue with the car, they refused to address the issue. They will promise to call me back on so many occasions and they don't. I have spoken to the GM Hussam Alsalahi, who said that I should send the car back and later back tracked to say I should speak with AJ the owner. I spoke with AJ who told me to email the photo to him, and 6 days later I have not received a response. I called them back and they are saying that I should call AJ, I called they hang up the phone on me. They will lie to you to sell their cars, which is a dishonest practice. I will be writing the Secretary of State in Texas, and any institution responsible or that oversea that dealership. I paid over $19000 for a car that had issues that was not disclosed to me at all. That is deception. I have exercised maximum restraint, this started on the 9th of November, the day I received the car. read more

*Buyer Beware* I recently had a rather bad experience here buying a car. I bought a used 2006 VW Passat. When buying the car I asked the salesman if their mechanics had looked over the car. He said yes, it was looked over thoroughly. Within 3 days of owning the car, I had a check engine light go on. After taking the car in to a dealership, I was told that there were actually several error codes in the car's computer system causing this check engine light. The service guy working with me actually recommended that I not have them perform the repairs, and instead see if I could work with the people who sold me the car, since this car was obviously not in good shape. I did contact Texas Carz again, and spoke with the salesman who sold me the car. He told me there was no way they could have known something was wrong with the car, and refused to work another deal out with me. I asked to speak to his manager, who I was told was in the office at the time. I was put on hold for a while, then my salesman picked up the phone again and said "actually, my manager will call you first thing in the morning." I never heard back from them. I've accepted that negotiating with Texas Carz was a lost cause, because the car was sold "as is." I ended up with an extra $2000 maintenance bill. Any competent mechanic should have seen what was wrong with the car. Texas Carz is perfectly ok with smiling at you while selling you pieces of junk. Don't make my mistake; have any car you're looking at with them checked out by a mechanic you trust. Or, better yet, look elsewhere for a car dealership with integrity. read more

2/23/2017 I recently bought a used Honda from Texas Carz. I was dreading car shopping because of all the gimmicks salesman use to try and get money out of you. Thankfully Texas Carz is not like that. Rick White was very professional and the car was ready to test drive when I got there. I never at any time felt pressured to buy a car that I can't afford. I also appreciate that the dealer respects people's time and doesn't try and keep you there all day. The TT&L paperwork was done in about 20 minutes. The price was fair and the staff was courteous. Our stay at this dealership lasted only about 5 minutes, and that was enough to convince us that this was not a place we wanted to buy a vehicle. I called the dealership 20 minutes before arriving to ask if it would be possible to set up an appointment to look at a used Honda Odyssey. They said that they didn't set appointments, but I could just come in and they would help me. Fine with me. When we arrived, I opened the conversation with the man at the front desk who answered phones: "Hi, I just called about 20 minutes ago about looking at a Honda Odyssey you have." He looked at my with suspicion and said, "The same one as that guy?" as he pointed to a man who had been in front of us in line and just stepped away. "I talked to him, but I didn't talk to you." I asked, "Do you answer the phones?" "Yes, but I didn't talk to you." I repeated to him that I had in fact called him, and realized that this guy was already arguing with me about a totally unimportant fact. This was not going well. Then, he offered to send someone out with us to unlock the van so we could look at it. I figured we could stomach a rude person who claims I've lied about calling him if only we can get a good van. when a young man took us outside, he couldn't start the car. The battery was dead. "If you all want to test drive it, I can come out and jump it before we go." We took a look a little inside, but since the battery was dead, we couldn't turn the car on, use the doors, or even use the power locks. That was enough for us. In sum, this dealership is staffed by at least one very rude person who accused me of lying, and the dealership pays so little attention to their vehicles that they don't even make sure they have working batteries. After visiting one of the big Dallas auto dealerships and watching the salesman unsuccessfully try to start the car I wanted to test-drive (!), we headed over to Texas Carz. A friendly man greeted us in the reception area. They have a "menu" of the cars available, and customers are free to walk around the indoor showroom and look at the cars. I loved that the menu/list included the prices, so it was easy to weed out vehicles that were not in my budget. They are very professional, call AJ few time to ask him question and he answered honestly. AJ is great person the other two review who gave Texas Carz a poor rating i am having a hard time believing the both of you. I am thinking it might be the competition who wrote it who know.
