I purchased a Ford F250 from TexasCarsDirect back in September. I flew in from Chicago to pick up…read morethe truck. Upon arriving and meeting with David Urby, I took the truck for a test drive. There was some minor issues but the most glaring was the check engine light. David said the issues would be taken care of, go to lunch and come back in a couple of hours. He called me and said they needed a part that would not be there until Monday. David paid for my flight home and said the truck would be shipped to me. I received the truck late the next week. When driving from where I received the truck, the check engine light came on. I notified him of this issue and he said to have it fixed locally and he would reimburse me. It has been several months and many texts and calls and still no reimbursement. Up until this point, David lived up to his word but I am extremely disappointed to have to write a partial negative review due to not receiving this promised reimbursement. In addition, the check engine issue took two times to resolve, the second requiring an additional cost which I decided to absorb thinking I would get the promised reimbursement. In closing, David did live up to his word on everything until this reimbursement issue so I can't give a 5 star review due to this

We had a clear and valid offer in-hand from CarMax, and they refused to honor their $500 over guarantee. 2. Calling them is a disorganized mess. It's hard to get a hold of who you need, or set an appointment at a particular location, time and with a particular person. They botched our appointment, twice. 3. "This will just take 15 minutes" turned into almost an hour. Avoid.

Excellent Car Buying Experience…read more I had a great experience at David McDavid Honda thanks to Dezmond in Sales. He listened to exactly what I wanted, respected my budget, and made the whole process easy and stress free. He explained everything clearly and made sure I drove away with the perfect 2026 Honda CR-V. Dezmond was professional, patient, and went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with my purchase. If you need a trustworthy and caring salesperson, I highly recommend Dezmond at David McDavid Honda.

I purchased my vehicle from David McDavid Honda of Irving several years ago and have had my service…read moreperformed exclusively by them. The last couple experiences with their service center have been atrocious. About a year ago, they damaged the rear differential drain plug during a fluid change. They offered a loaner while it was being repaired, so they tried to make it right. A couple weeks ago, it was time to replace the fluid again. They reported difficulty with the drain plug, but I didn't think much of it when they told me it was good to go. Well, it was leaking when I brought it home. So I returned it the following week to have it repaired (again). My vehicle sat for 4 days with zero contact from the service center, despite multiple attempts by me to talk to someone about it. I tried sending messages in their app and phone calls. Nobody, including the manager, has responded yet. I guess they assume I can go without my vehicle for days on end with no status and no action. Their web application still shows my vehicle is awaiting inspection. And the last call was answered by an AI system, which promised the manager would call back. This is, obviously, incredibly poor customer service. I will never be coming back to David McDavid, and I suggest other potential customers look elsewhere. Also, for potential new customers - read through a few of the recent 5-star reviews on here. They're obviously fake.

Not a customer but after my positive experience here, I might just become one one day! I…read moreexperienced a tire blow out the other night & this was the only open & well lit place in the immediate area. The front desk team was so nice & even let me wait in their (very nice) waiting room while I waited on roadside assistance, which wasn't going well. Andrew, an employee actually ended up changing my tire for me ON HIS BREAK, which I thought was such an above & beyond action, so because of this whole inconvenient situation that turned out to be so lovely, I plan to revisit this Carmax for when I'm ready to become an actual customer. Thanks Andrew & Carmax Irving Team!

I want to share my experience so future buyers know what to expect. I test drove a 2022 Lexus ES…read more350 F Sport on October 21, 2025, and immediately noticed that both front USB ports were inoperative and the SOS button cover was broken. My sales associate confirmed the issues and assured me their shop would repair everything while I completed the financing steps and a trade-in pre-approval quote. The process quickly became a long, confusing ordeal. Parts were ordered, but the first shipment arrived defective. The second shipment also failed to fix the issue. No clear updates came from management, and the timelines kept shifting. I asked why the vehicle could not simply be taken to Lexus under its factory warranty, and no one could give me a clear answer. It was only after I reached out to CarMax corporate that the vehicle was finally sent to a Lexus dealership on November 4. According to my sales associate, the car has been sitting with Lexus ever since, with no solid updates and continued delays. Even today, December 2, I am still being told dates are pushed and that they are "waiting for more updates." Throughout all of this, I did everything required on my end. What I did not receive was consistent communication, accurate timelines, or involvement from management. My sales associate tried his best, but even he seemed to struggle to get information from their service department. What makes this more frustrating is that the entire situation could have been avoided. CarMax advertises a thorough inspection before a vehicle is listed for sale. If that inspection had truly been done, the dead USB ports and broken SOS cover would have been caught early, repaired, and the car would never have been presented as sale-ready. Instead, the problem was passed on to me. Had I actually traded in my current vehicle, I would have been without transportation for more than six weeks. I am disappointed by the delays and the lack of leadership response. I hope sharing this helps future buyers make informed decisions, and I hope CarMax takes steps to improve how vehicles are inspected and how customers are communicated with during repairs.

Valvoline Instant Oil Change

Valvoline Instant Oil Change

I've always known Valvoline Instant Oil Change as the place where you pull up, wait in your car for…read morea few minutes to get a speedy oil change, and then off you go. That's what Valvoline used to be. Now, it's nothing short of a gamble as to how long your wait will be as you sit behind what is essentially someone else's auto dealership service visit. The Valvoline wait problem is real. 45+ minute wait for a single oil change - it's inexcusable. It's easy to think this location's technicians are either incredibly slow, selling too much - or both. I really believe though that this is a situation in which Valvoline, Inc. can't get its branding and workflow right and that locations like this are at the mercy of having to sell more services for profit while in the process sacrificing the speed Valvoline promises as a brand. It makes sense: Offer an 18-point service check, find other vehicle issues, and upsell. But that's not who you've been as a brand, and continue to promote yourself to be, Valvoline. The name of your location is, "Valvoline Instant Oil Change." So you make more money with more repair services and I'm all for getting work done so I'm safe behind the wheel - but that's not why I go to Valvoline. I go there to get an oil change quickly and get out. There is no reason why I should choose Valvoline for extended service repairs like flushes given that auto dealers and other auto repair shops have stepped up their waiting areas with more comfort and amenities. In the amount of time it took yesterday to get my oil change at Valvoline sitting in my car, I could have booked online with my auto dealer and gotten multiple things fixed while relaxing comfortably in its waiting area with coffee and snacks, or working on my computer being productive with high-speed internet. I still need some other service done according to my Valvoline check but after the wait for the oil change and then the service itself, I had no interest. The guy in front of me got an oil change, new filter, and, lo and behold, there was something wrong with his gas tank knob! I hope they got as much money from him as they could while the rest of us waited and waited and waited. Michael, my service technician, acknowledged the wait, but didn't apologize for it, nor did he offer any make-good. I'm sure that's because he didn't think there was anything wrong - it was just busy. That is the problem: His job is to sell and fix no matter how long it takes. Hopefully, the Valvoline bosses above him will stop getting their wires crossed and help him do a better job of that with branding, and workflow and logistical changes. Soon - if not instantly. Also..how did an oil change in general go from $19.99 to $80 in, like, 5 minutes?
