Great local company. We had to replace our 20 year old garage door opener. Contacted Automatic Doorz to request a quote. Mike gave me a general quote for a new opener and installation over the phone, but said if I wanted to save money, I could buy my own unit and they would install it for a (very reasonable) flat rate. He also suggested models to buy. Purchased a unit and scheduled installation for two days later. Installer called day of and offered to come early. He was friendly and had everything installed and programmed in under an hour. Overall, they were a breeze to work with and I really appreciate that they offered options/suggestions that helped save us money. Will definitely use and recommend them in the future. read more

We used Automatic Doorz about 5 years ago to install a pair of new Chamberlain garage door openers for our new house. They did an excellent job and the wiring was extremely neat and professional looking when completed. Fast forward to the present: A recent severe round of storms hit us this weekend and I noticed something was amiss when I hit the opener and the garage door lifted ......very slowly........ the screen read on "battery power". Ugh.... now the battery was beeping as it was running low as we had to run errands over the weekend and were constantly opening and closing the door...both of them to get the cars in and out..... Called Mike today and he immediately asked if I checked the breaker switch, not the fuse box..... I felt dumb and looked around where the openers are plugged in....on the high ceiling....nope.... Try elsewhere.... Lo and behold.....on the wall in the back of the garage...BEHIND the freezer I added a few years ago... hence why I missed the bright red light staring at me on the switch. 5 star service!! I wanted a Liftmaster 8550 installed.....It is 1 of Liftmasters best Openers and it has battery back up, which was the main reason why I wanted a new opener Precision door from laurel quoted me $795 and they do not work on weekends. Fred C Johnson was $495 (for 1 remote..extra remore and outdoor key pad was $75, so in reality $570), and they too do not work on weekends. I contacted Automatic Doorz and their price was $425,add in an extra remote and keypad it is $475, so nearly $100 less than Fred C Johnson, AND Automatic Doorz does installs on Saturdays at no extra charge. Turns out my garage is not the standard 7ft, but it is 8ft, so I had to use the 8ft extension kit and it happened to be on special for $25 (normally $50) So I had it all done for $500. Great service by the technician Chris he had it up and running in less than an hour and lubed up the door as well. I received great service from initial email contact to completion of the install. My family and I are always leary when seeking repairs. We have to agree with the other reviewers here because Automatic Doorz is excellent. Very courteous on the phone. They could have come out the next day but we had to wait for a weekend appointment. Chris arrived at 9 in our 8 to 12 window. Our garage door wire came off the track and was cutting through the spring bolt. 40 minutes later, the door was fixed and our other door was maintained as well. We op checked both doors and they were as smooth and even as can be. The price was also less than we thought it would be. If we are in need of any more garage door repairs, we will be calling on Automatic Doorz. I wonder if they do work on washers and dryers? read more

Incredible service. On Thursday morning our garage door went up and down for the last time. It was 20 years old and finally broke. (They had initially scheduled another company, but the first guy completely stood me up, no call, no show.)
