Winter storms brought down part of our rural yard fencing. One hundred and forty-two feet of fencing and a gate were replaced. Pacific Coast Fence had installed fencing over twenty-five years ago, so we reached out to Pacific Coast Fence again. We were pleasantly surprised that owner, David Dover was still going strong!! This speaks volumes for any small business. David responded quickly with detailed estimate, and the work began promptly. Just like David, his crew are true professionals. All old fencing material and associated debris were removed with great efficiency. The new redwood fencing material is the highest quality. The crew took great pride in their work with such attention to detail, and worked so quickly. The job was completed in a few days. The fencing is beautiful!! David Dover and crew are true professionals and so easy to work with. I would only use and recommend Pacific Coast Fence!!!! read more

Pacific Lumber And Fence built an obviously stout and stunning fence. As you can see in the pictures, The fence is assembled with high quality, weatherproof screws. Even though I did not upgrade the wood, what they installed is all heart wood with almost no knots. They are a father and son team who, with their two employees, finished about 100 feet of fence in less then a day. Everything was spotless when they were done. I think I got a great deal. read more

I was referred to David Dover, owner of Pacific Coast Fence by Tim Collins of Personal Impressions Painting. I have known Tim for decades and trust his work and his word. David came out upon contact, discussed ideas, listened intently and produced a reasonable and fair-priced proposal immediately. I have a multi-phased project that was no problem for Dave and his crew. They were polite, considerate, respectful of our needs, our property and our project. They produced a great product and provided a great service. I would highly recommend their service. read more

Absolutely the best fence builder I've ever experienced. I've been a real estate investor for over 25 years so I've had my share of less than desirable contractors. This company never lets me down the owner is fabulous! read more

Dave hit a grand slam with my fence! Replaced both sides of my property fencing. Each side took him a day. He makes sure you have a secure property at the end of the day. Dave also fixed my pergola. Was aging and needed some stability. He was able to stabilize it without replacing any wood pieces which would have driven the price up. Awesome job Dave! Quality end product! read more

I contacted Dave to replace a fence and he was prompt at returning my call and coming out to my home and preparing an estimate. He was fast and I really appreciated his response especially now when a lot of companies are slammed. Many of my calls to other companies were never returned. I did go with another company in the end to replace a section of fence, but wanted to for sure give a shout out that Dave is professional and prompt! read more

I'm so excited it's finally warm enough to enjoy our new patio and arbor that Dave and his great crew built for us!! It was so nice to work with Dave and he went way beyond our expectations with this build! We chose Western Red Cedar and black hardware and it looks fabulous!!! I would recommend him to anyone who wants a high quality product. And it's also nice to sit out and enjoy the rain, which we had plenty of this year!! Thank you, Dave!! read more

We had our fence replaced today and it looks amazing. Dave is such a pleasure to work with. They were able to finish the job in one day. His crew worked fast and cleaned up every bit of material they brought with them. We had a last minute change and he was happy to accommodated the request. We had several bids for the job and his pricing is very reasonable and gives great suggestions to help save money. I would highly recommend him and his company, and will be using him again for our fencing needs! read more

Dave Dover and his crew did a great job replacing our fences (about 375 feet) and gates. They were very easy to work with, left everything clean, worked with the neighbors who shared parts of the fencing, etc. Very pleased with the process and the results. read more

At first, with all the great reviews and our gate falling apart, we thought let's give it a shot. I called them on a Wednesday morning and they said someone could be out there in 45 minutes. Much to my satisfaction, Dave came in 15 minutes. He measured the fence with the gate that we need and I told him about the side fence that needs some panels replaced. He then gave me his card and said they'd call me with a quote. Here we are now, over a week and a half later with 2 voicemails left for Dave for our quote and we've heard NOTHING. Not even "this job isn't work our time or your money". Worst experience ever. read more

Dave's team did a great job. Showed up on time, and replaced my fencing way quick. 4 people to begin, and two to end, but still done by 2:30pm. 75 feet of fencing and two gates. Looks great, and I highly recommend!! read more

WOW! I can't even begin to tell you what a great experience I had with Dave and his team. The fences and gates look BEAUTIFUL! Very clean, meticulous, level, and sturdy. He was able to make my gates extra wide so it can fit anything through them. I was scheduled in quickly and they turned the job around in lightening speed. Showed up on time and very professional. He worked well with my neighbor for our shared fence line. Also important to me is that Dave runs his business on INTEGRITY and with great morals and values. He is an HONEST business owner. I can't say enough good things about Pacific Coast Fence. I would hire them again in a heartbeat! He gets bonus points for having a great sense of humor and is really easy to work with. read more

Called Pacific Coast Fence and spoke with Dave. Made an appointment with him. Waited for hours - he didn't show up; he didn't even call. WOW...... read more

Dave did a very professional job replacing a redwood deck with a composite material deck. He gave us a very fair price and finished the project on time and with beautiful results. We are very pleased and would recommend Dave to our neighbors (high praise)! read more

What a pleasure dealing with a local. Dave gave me a verbal estimate over the phone, then came out and personally dropped off an estimate. He was available to build our fence within three days of our call. He said his crew would be here at 8:00 AM and they were! The crew worked all day, finishing an 85 foot fence and 6 foot gate. The work was well done, and the crew cleaned up everything, hauling away old materials, and cleaning up all evidence of their work. He asked for no down payment. He dropped off the final invoice (one for me and one for my neighbor) a week after the job. Couldn't be more pleased. read more

If you need a new fence please call Dave at Pacific Coast Fence. My fence got blown down during at storm and I had to get several estimates. I called six different fence companies in Gilroy and left messages. The only person to call me back was Dave and he was out that afternoon to give me an estimate and because I had to deal with Association and a neighbor I told him I'd get back to him on a start date for the work. The assocation also sent a fence company over and their estimate was just $20 more and even if they were less they never rang the bell and introduced themselves. When I called Dave back he was able to accomdate my work schedule and the time frame I needed to get the fence fixed because I have pets. read more

Love our fence and appreciate the skill and integrity of Mr. Dover. We live on a steep hillside and Dave Dover expertly installed approx. 350 feet of wrought iron fencing. Dave listened, worked quickly and cleanly, and completed the work sooner than we expected. We will definitely call him for our next need -- new decking. read more
