On December 5, my husband came home from work around 11:00pm. He opened the garage door, drove into the garage to park and then proceeded to closed the garage door. As it was closing, the door dropped resulting in a loud boom! It woke me up. I ran downstairs to see what happened and my husband tried opening the garage door and it would not open. So researched various garage door companies to see who could come out right away or early the next day because we both had to get our cars out. For my husband, he had to go to work and for me, I had to run my errands. Pops Garage Doors was the only company who could come out early. We were given a window of time of 8am-10am and the other companies said they couldn't come until 10:30am but my husband had to be at work by 10:30. Our home warranty company told us that the earliest someone could come out was December 13!!!!!!!!! Tom from Pops came around 9:00am and evaluated the situation and knew right away what the problem was. He proceeded to fix it and it took all of 30 minutes. He also suggested we get new "rollers" as well which we did so the garage door is smooth and quiet like it was when we purchased the newly constructed home 12 years ago. I don't remember calling them (maybe my wife did), but I had a technician call me and give me an estimated time of arrival. I appreciate the fact that when he was given the wrong address from his company, he gave me a heads up that he wasn't going to be arriving at the time he told me but I wasn't in a hurry so I wasn't worried. When he arrived, he came and looked, and he had the parts (torsion springs) with him. All I wanted was an estimate not work to be done, but he said he could do it right then and there. I asked him how much, and he priced me at $750. I already had a guy (recommended from a friend) who said he'd come and install new springs tomorrow for $500, to which the technician said there was no way he could do it for that cheap. He said he'd do it for $550, and I said nope, the other guy can be here tomorrow and get it done for $500. He shook my hand, and we agreed on $500, and he got to work. He said he drove all this way, and $500 was better than nothing. Less than 30 minutes, and he was done and out of here. My garage door opener and it's light suddenly stopped working late on a Saturday afternoon. The circuit breaker wasn't tripped and when I checked the overhead outlet it was still getting electricity. I feared the worst. I called Pops after noting generally positive reviews online. They told me they could send someone within the next two hours. I received a call from Michael, the technician, about an hour later. He said that he would arrive in about 25 minutes. After diagnosing the problem he informed me that the motor was shot. He stated that he'd need to replace sensors, motor, inside and outside wall switches, and remote devices. He also had the new materials on his truck. The cost would be $940. Given that he was up front about the cost, that I got service within two hours on a weekend, that I got a unit that was superior to the old one, and that all of the old materials were removed from the premises, I was reasonably satisfied. Technician (Amir) arrived to our home with a welcoming smile as he introduced himself. As I opened the door he stopped to wipe his feet on the door mat before entering (Yes, that matters) he inspected the garage door and began to explain what likely happened to it and breaking down in detail options for repair with estimated costs all while patiently answering my many questions along the way. I found Amir to be knowledgeable and he set real expectations for the repair which made me feel comfortable to proceed with hire. It didn't take him long to repair afterwhich, he tested the door several times to assure it was working properly. I generally don't write reviews, as it has been very few company's over the years who have impressed enough to do so. we had an emergency with our garage last night, our spring broke, the door wouldn't lift at all, part of the garage itself even came apart when the wheels popped off the track and our pulley got damaged . we called the Pop Garage Doors 24/7 service at around 8pm, and help arrived super fast by 8:20! michael was the technician who came out, and he was amazing. he had such good energy, was funny, easy to talk to, and made us feel completely comfortable. he had literally just gotten home and was done with work, but came out because of our emergency call right away and handled everything so professionally. within an hour, he had fixed all the damages and got our garage back in perfect shape. 10/10 recommend this company, and especially michael--he's informative, friendly, and added some light to this extremely stressful situation. definitely call them if you need fast, reliable service! read more

It was time to replace our ancient garage door opener when we could no longer program a new car to operate it remotely. (You can only do so much with older tech.) Tom from Pop's stopped by on short notice on a Sunday afternoon to replace the old opener with a modern Chamberlain that works like a champ. Tom did a great job installing and tuned up the heavy double-wide garage door while he was at it. The new opener is an excellent value. We love how smoothly it operates and really appreciate the user-friendliness of the modern design. The new keyless entry is also much easier to use than the old one. We needed a new motor for the garage door. The repairman came out right away. He went over two options he thought best suited our needs. We selected the motor we thought was best for us keeping in mind the cost and the heavy usage. He said he would be back the next day for installation. Always called (as we requested) so we could secure our dogs from possibly getting out. He replaced the motor, showed us how it works, helped us to set up the new codes, cleaned up after the installation and our garage door works great. Very professional and courteous. Did a fantastic job and it was in the middle of a heat wave. If we ever need anymore service we will call on Pop's again. read more

Got an appointment for early the next morning when I called. The technician was highly experienced and found issues with the track. He did a tuneup of the garage opener components, including the tracks, safety lock and ensured the passcode entry worked. Amazing how smooth everything operates. Pop's installed my doors a few months ago without any issues. The folks who came were pleasant and efficient. They cleaned up their mess, took my old doors and everything worked great. This weekend I was having trouble with the door opener (Pop's did not install) but I called them for help. They were able to come out the next day (Sunday) and were able to fix the problem.
