Not only did those quotes come in significantly lower ($1,200-$1,400 for the same scope of work), but technicians also tested the motor and indicated it was functioning properly and did not require replacement, raising serious concerns about whether the additional work was necessary. In transparency, I was offered a $50 discount in exchange for leaving a five-star review, which post-service I simply could not do and undermines confidence in the authenticity of existing ratings. The technician was rude and dismissive. He reattached the cable but left the switch dangling from the wall. When I pointed out that this was likely the reason it keeps coming loose, he snapped back with, "You literally called me out here for a missing screw." No--if he had secured it properly the first time, I wouldn't have needed a second visit. Any competent technician would've fixed this without being told. When I said yes I got the impression he was hoping I would just cancel and let him off scott-free. 1hr15min after that he finally does arrive. Says a few things, then repeats it several times. Doesn't listen to a word I say. At one point he goes to open the door. Now, it's in need of repair, that's why i called him. When I opened it, I was careful and slow. He just flings it open. Of course that makes it break, and one of the wheels pops out of the track. He sits there shoving on it, trying to force it. I have to tell him three times that a wheel is off before he stops trying to just break my door. When I do, he looks over at one of the wheels that's perfectly fine, pokes it a bit... then goes back to shoving on the door. I literally have to shout before he will stop and look at where I'm pointing at the wheel obviously off the track and he acts like early man discovering fire. He tells me they don't offer warranties on outside doors; there's just no way to have a door outside like this and protect it from the elements. The wires are just going to be damaged from being outside, end of story. He tells me this 3-4 times, that they do outside doors but they don't warranty them. Then he says, I don't think we do outside doors, calls his supervisor, yeah we don't do outside doors. I was very clear in my first message this was an outside door. Six hours of my weekend could have been saved if they'd just told me at the start that they don't do this kind of door before sending someone over to be five hours late, then break my door and be rude. These people don't listen, they will not respect your time, and I imagine they do awful work. I wouldn't recommend them if they offered to work for free.
