I needed new windshield wipers, so I was looking around the area for a business who would also put them in. I was recommended a place but was ignored, so I drove to pep boys, was ignored there as well, so I figured I'd just by the wipers and put them on myself. I purchased them here at Auto Zone. I think the guy helping me was the assistant manager. He rung me up and offered to put them in for me. So grateful. I have come here before and have always had great customer service. Last weekend, my brother and I entered AutoZone to a new face, Michelle K. Never have we been treated so kindly and respectfully before (maybe with the exception of a guy named Gilbert a year or two ago). Michelle greeted each and every customer as they came through the door; Was SUPER efficient; Able to utilize that AutoZone computer like Steve Jobs; Went 3 or 4 "extra miles" to ensure we had the right parts for 2 different cars we were currently dealing with, and she even figured out the 95 Mercury (regardless of a 10/95 born date in the door) was actually a 96 by comparing the serpentine belt size with the old one BEFORE we walked away. (There's nothing more frustrating than having to stop working right in the middle of a project due to the wrong friggin' parts.) Michelle tested our old alternator and exchanged our new '95 one for the right '96 one; found our old brake warranty under a car listed as "Unknown", and had a pair delivered to the Spring Valley location for pick up. We've been going to AutoZone for many years and to finally have all our cars listed correctly in their system she says will save them as well as us time when looking for parts. Michelle is incredibly professional, patient and was able to stay focused on the many tasks at hand all while enduring my brother's relentless flirting and super cornball pick-up lines. (She deserves extra pay for that.) And just when she thought she was done with us for the night, my brother had yet another question about losing his AutoZone Awards card. She advised him to call the Customer Service number to get his points transferred from the old card to his new one. Grade A++ service all the way through. Michelle is a breath of fresh air. Auto part stores are required to accept used oil for disposal. This Autozone always has a sign on the window that says their oil tank is full, and therefore cannot accept any used oil. How much longer do they think they can get away with that? read more

Nothing hinders your plans more than realizing the car you are riding around in is in desperate need of some fluids. No oil was found at my friends house, so after a bank trip, Autozone was luckily in the same parking lot. Being girls walking into car parts stores always makes me feel like a new prisoner walking into a jail full of felons.... The shelves were well stocked, but little did we know the containers were already half open with oil spilling out the front of the container... I know I am bound to get dirty dealing with cars, but this is when my "girl" instinct gets in and quickly seeks paper towels or hand sanitizer. The employees behind the counter were the most unhelpful batch of people; the manager didn't even sound sure of the oil type we were purchasing, but was nice enough to go in the back and retrieve some paper towels for us. Putting oil in her car outside the store was another meat market; definitely not the area for two girls to be standing over a car in, even in the mid-afternoon. But thanks to this Autozone for not treating us like "stupid girls" but the amount of help administered could have been far better. read more

Even with an empty store, employees were walking around while I stood at the front contour to check out for 10 minutes. Candido helped me out a lot & even guided me through the process w/ my headlights. He had grabbed the wrong lightbulbs so we went back to exchange them, the price was different so they had to do the whole refund process & asked for my receipt. I misplaced my receipt and couldn't find it but was w/ the employee & never left the store since I bought the lightbulbs so they knew I bought them & used my debit card so they could've looked up the transaction. Candido was more than happy to give me my change back, he just needed a manager's approval & passcode to finish the process. Candido called Carlos his manager over to the register to finish the process. They were speaking in Spanish not thinking I could understood them but I could understand most of what they were saying. Carlos was being very unprofessional telling Candido "don't feel bad for him this is his fault" & was not trying to give me my change being an asshole, knowing I never left the store & that I used my debit card. I find that very disrespectful coming from a manager & on top of it I know he wouldn't have said it in English. Worst manger I've came across in a while. Big ups to Candido! This store has very poor costumer skills. I live close to this store where I feel It would be easier just to go to this store. but they keep disappointing me. One time I went and there and the manager ignored me as I standed in line for 10min and helped someone else as they just asked him a question and it went farther . Today I just wanted to buy some fuel injector cleaner and someone was paying for there purchase , but the lady said I still had to wait in a line of 10 people just injector cleaner , no questions about my vehicle or parts. Absolute terrible service. Went in there to exchange wheel locks that didn't work properly because the bolt would go through them before you could even tighten the wheel pushing the special tool out. The customer service representative Carmen who helped me out was very rude. While doing the return for the tool that i had just go 15 mintues earlier. Then I asked for a military discount at checkout of different wheel locj and she needed a manager password so she asked for a manager but nobody came so instead of going to get one she just started helping other customers and talking on the phone to other customers all the while I'm still standing at the front waiting to check out. I had to speak up, she needs a manager's password. Every time that Carmen said something to me it seemed she was annoyed and felt her time is being wasted helping a customer, this is the impression that she put off. I had received a fix-it ticket driving down to San Diego for not having my recently received front license plate on my car. When I tried to put it on, the bolts would not fit my bumper that had been replaced. The men in the store helped me try three different products out front until we found one that worked! At almost 85 degree weather, you were quite persistent into even getting to the broken bulb. Even when it didn't seem like the cover would come off, you remained patient and cautious to the cause, until finally, you managed get the light bulb out and the replacement back in. Because of people like you, foolish girls, such as I, who only know how to run their car until the oil runs dry can drive the road safely, another day. I hate this store but went because it's half mile from where I live. Needed a replacement bulb for my running lights for my VW. The guy looked it up and said the computer doesn't tell the part number. Well I didn't need the part number because it's the same as the headlight which I had in my hand. I know my car dude. I paid and left and said screw this place but went again because I needed coolant. First, when there's a lower priced equivalent of a name brand product this store's stock of it will be gone. It won't be on the shelves. So I grab a bottle of coolant that had a sale price on it but after it was rung up full price I was informed it was that price AFTER mail in rebate. The girl who rang it up was a short Filipina girl who wore glasses and really acted like a snob. I paid the full price and went to my car and started to add the coolant but it was making a mess so I went back and asked for a paper funnel and she said she didn't have "those" but I could buy one for a dollar? Walked in with my girlfriend to buy bulb that went out for her car. So now I'm no rookie when it comes to easy small Fix. We walked in and asked for bulbs for her Toyota. Lido y'all heavy set guys calls us up next. We ask him for the bulbs walks back and comes back with the most expensive bulbs he can find. We clearly ask him are these the only ones? He says yes there was only one left. Which was the really pricey. She wanted to get two so he went back to get the pack of two so I followed him to where they had them. I clearly found that they had all kinds of brands but he picked the most pricy one he could find. So I took it from him and came back with a brand that was not 50. He looked at us and said well the other ones are brighter. Not the issue he lied and tried to rip us off. I worked in auto parts for 12 years and I know its not an easy job (overworked for low pay and then the occasional jerk customer and thieves putting guns in your face) but customer service is customer service. i took a battery in to have it checked the other day. The counter person pulled a hand held out to check it. (These things are notorious for being inaccurate) and told me i needed a new battery (99.99 plus tax) I insisted on charging it first (what shoud be done) then retesting it. and lo and behold it came up good. I have used Orielly, Autozone, Carquest, Napa and a few others over the years. they have all become the same. Fast food autoparts. Get em in and out with the max profit. I do my research online now and go in with the part numbers and info so i don't rely on these undertrained glorified cashiers anymore. This is a problem in most autoparts stores nowadays, not just Autozone. Im sorry parts people, i know most of you work hard, and some of you are very knowledgeable and when i find you i try to use you particularly. But i am all over the county fixin cars on the side of my regular job (mechanic/electrician) and i just don't have time to figure out who is good and who is bad. get the training folks, and Autozone, train your people better. You may loose that 99.99 from me today, but if you treat me right i will buy that 200.00 starter when i need it. read more

Ever time I go here I leave pissed off. Poor customer service. I called for the price of a starter and they put me on hold for 17 min. I hung up and called back and I asked why I was kept on hold for 17 min. He said they were busy. I was told the starter was $91 with the $27 core charge. I immediately drove there and found the store empty. I ask for the starter and now it's $91 + $27 core fee. These people don't care about me wasting my time and don't care about the customers.
