    Exceptional Service from Brian at El Cajon Lexus! We recently bought a car from El Cajon Lexus, and we absolutely had to give a shout-out to Brian for his incredible help! We were on a tight schedule and needed to complete the entire process in time for school pickups. We mentioned this to Brian, and he didn't just acknowledge it--he went above and beyond to make it happen quickly and smoothly.     Everything mostly What didn't was receiving a loaner vehicle with very little gas,alsosaying I hadn't gotten a carwash couldn't be farther from the truth.. Just doesn't sit well with me because its my 18 yr old son's car, whom I want to show him the ins and outs of maintaining his car when bringing it to a dealership. Changing an Oil Filter,4 Spark Plugs and a Oil Change, then paying cost and Labor that amounted to nearly 800.00 dollars,you'd think the loaner which I mentioned to Mr.James,had no gas.Mind you Mr.James said he'd talk to someone gave me the impression that the ww were ushered away meant i was being dismissed especially in front of my kid. Not a way to maintain a professional image,especially with a customer of over several years.

    My wife and I had been all over the world looking for a particular vehicle that was in the condition we wanted and also that was priced fair. I initially spoke with a sales person (Brian) who wasn't even at work when he had began jumping through hoops to accommodate my wife and I without the guarantee of us purchasing the vehicle. Lost track of time the first day so I called the next day (Brian) to see if the preliminary deal we had struck was still in place he then called his manager a second time for a big flake like myself lol and made sure our deal still stood. When my wife and I arrived at Lexus El Cajon with our two young and rambunctious little girls the red carpet was rolled out. Valarie immediately took us on a test drive and made sure we were all comfortable and worked expeditiously to get us the best rates!...Make sure to ask for her!...we wrapped the evening by doing our paperwork in finance with Mikhael who was friendly and knowledgeable and was expedient knowing we had small girls and it was getting late. A++++++++++ treatment and service from first and foremost BRIAN! and VALERIE! and MIKHAEL! at Lexus El Cajon. Go see them. I will also personally refer friends to the three of these great employees of Lexus EL Cajon

Toyota of El Cajon is, without question, the best I've ever experienced, even long after the contract ink has dried. There was an issue with a less-common extended coverage that didn't go as expected. Jose, my service advisor, did everything he could to get it resolved. When he hit a wall, Laura B. got involved. Laura is what some businesses refer to as "a fixer". She relayed what she was doing and who was involved. The list was not a short one. When things were ironed out, she was able to obtain results that kept the dealership and Toyota in good standing by acting in good faith and resolved the warranted coverage to my satisfaction. I will continue to support both Toyota and Toyota of El Cajon!

I went to Moose who was very polite and courteous. What I thought would be an hour to hour & half for my service and after sitting in the lobby for almost an hour I was advised what he recommended for my vehicle. He did offer me an Uber home so I wasn't stuck inside the lobby and was also picked up by uber at no charge. The down side is, if you use a credit card you have an extra surcharge I believe it was 3%. My previous service center did not charge you extra for using a credit card. The lobby area was nice and clean and they offer free coffee & donuts while you wait. They do offer promos so if you have a discount from another service dealer they will accept them. But you do have to bring the offer with you. Everyone who works there are polite and helpful.

I purchased an extended warranty with their recommended company (a joke, they get a -5* for service). The warranty covered NONE of the issues nor were they responsive so I cancelled the extended warranty and Legacy received the refund check and held it for months. They never sent it to my bank nor did they contact me. When I contacted them there was no apology, nothing. They likely deposited my check and collected the interest and probably would have kept it if I didn't finally call and inquire about the refund. Lastly, I realized they passed on a fee to prepare the car for sale to me which they should not have. I don't even know if the finance guy I talked to at purchase was really who he said he was. But he's young and naive. We got frustrated by his inexperience when it came to the day of the delivery of the car. He was an hour late the day of delivery and despite counting the cash *twice*, managed to miscount the money. Then there was another salesman, Cam, who tried to steal his commission. He was the typical sales guy who tries to strong arm you. He was abrupt and tried to interject himself into the sale. My wife had test driven a car the day before with Aaron and Cam tried to commandeer the sale because Aaron was late meeting us at the dealership. Cam was arrogant and the typical annoying, misogynistic salesman. My wife and I disliked his lack of business ethics. He talks down to women, he didn't bother to introduce himself nor shake our hands. Don't work with this guy unless you're looking to be talked down to or of a certain gender. My wife had a set and final price from the day before after talking to Aaron and Brandon, the sales manager. When we returned the next day so I could test drive it, Cam was adamant that cars aren't driven off the lot for mechanical inspection unless there's an agreed upon number. Again, he was not present for her convo with Aaron and Brandon. The only smart thing Cam did was find Brandon who validated their initial agreement. It was an overall very frustrating two days and despite my wife and I loving the car, not worth the headache. We were THIS close to cancelling the sale. Avoid this dealership unless you must absolutely *have* to have that Hyundai, even then I'd advise you to buy it elsewhere. They need to train their salesMEN to do better. Oh! Final thing, if you buy a used car from them, they do *not* deliver it to you with a full tank. Only on new ones apparently (go figure). Another ding in their piss poor business practice.

I've had one windshield crack, 4 flats, an issue with the TPMS and I broke my eyeglass holder all that since October. All of them have been completely covered and the service dept has gotten me in and out with a quickness- two times I was also allowed a rental. All that to say thank you to Nathan and the whole service dept team! They joked about getting me my own office because of all my incidents, hopefully that isn't needed and I won't see them till I need an oil change or my lease is up. The salesman said there was an added dealer markup in addition to the MSRP because it was a popular model with a rare color. He also said the $2,500 mandatory ad-ons, like Ceramicoat were not negotiable. I walked out and went to "Autonation Subaru" in Carlsbad. They had the exact car in the right color, fresh off the truck. I paid $7,000 less than Summit Subaru. Plus we still get outstanding service. They even gave my daughter complete training on how to operate all the advanced electronics. Autonation was clean, modern, and spacious, unlike the dated confines of Summit Subaru. By the way, even the used cars have the mandatory ad-ons at Summit. How crazy is that?

So I put in an inquiry using my hubby's info since I wasn't able to take calls at work at the moment. Literally, less than 10 minutes later, Alyssa called him up and set up a time to take a look at the car I had my eye on. From the very start of our interaction with Alyssa until the completion of sale, I can honestly say that the whole experience was absolutely stellar. I have frequented other Mercedes-Benz dealerships in the past with service that ranked from absolutely hostile, to condescending, to mediocre...but the El Cajon location is a wonderful exception and not only exceeded my expectations, but made my hubby and I feel like family and comfortable with the sale. Although there were a few snafus that occurred, the overall impression was professional, courteous and not overbearing in the least. He beat CarMax's offer on our 2025 Nissan Altima and gave us more than we expected, which made the whole deal even better.
