I would not recommend Marco. We wanted to look at an Nx in a very specific color for my mom. They had two of them. One was ready to be seen while the other was finishing up getting certified. We asked about the other car after noticing some damage on the car he was showing us, he goes "they're the exact same car" and "well yeah it's a used car." We asked if he's able to tell us when they were going to be done with the other car so we can take a look but he responded with "I can't take you back there." First off, thank goodness we requested someone else to help us because he was able to get the car to the front and it had no damage to the front unlike the other car he was trying to sell us. Since there were two of the same cars, wouldn't you want to pick the one in the better condition? And secondly, he could've asked them when the other car was ready rather. We knew we couldn't go to the back. He needs better training. Thankfully Tim swooped in to help us out. He was much more helpful. Santiago helped us with financing. He was actually great to work with. We told him exactly what we wanted and didn't want and I appreciated that he was quick to the point and made financing a smooth as possible. Just an FYI, they install some sort of tracking on the car if it ever gets stolen which they make you pay for. I bought my car at Lexus Escondido which they didn't make us buy. Service sucks , made an appointment for an oil change and you would think they would have loaner cars available for appointments but they dont. So they think sending customers to enterprise would be fine until you have to wait at enterprise to get a loaner vehicle and then come back to Lexus to transfer the stuff you have in the car. I have purchased/leased several cars from Lexus El Cajon over probably a 15 - 18 year period and they never cease to exceed my expectations. They won my business around 2007 and I have stayed with them ever since. The service department has always accomplished everything in a timely manner and with ample explanation, but that is not the purpose of this review. I am simply adding that because it is part of why I keep coming back. Last week, I took my wife in to get a new car. She had never had one and I wanted her to pick what she wanted. I told her it was OK to wait, if there was nothing in stock. I work through Eva in sales and explained the situation before we arrived. Eva immediately won my wife's confidence and walked her through every aspect of the cars she was interested in considering. I can tell you from past experience that Eva knows the product like the back of her hand. I let the two of them wander around and went off to look on my own. My wife was set on a certain interior, so that narrowed things down fairly fast (to maybe 7 or 8 cars). I didn't expect her to find exactly what she wanted, but she did. After a test drive, she was simply amazed at all the features. I negotiated a bit and we came to terms. I then went to the finance department and worked with Fernando, who was new to me. I had worked with someone else the last couple of times. Well, Fernando made things very easy. I knew what add-ons I wanted and he explained the different options. I felt he was honest and looking out for my best interest. The process went very quickly and I left completely satisfied once again! I think my wife is still in disbelief that she has her first new car ever and it is a Lexus to boot. Just a heads-up to anyone in the neighborhood - be careful if you're thinking of taking your car to Lexus El Cajon. They might look polished and professional, but my experience tells a very different story. I brought my car in for a simple oil change. After their initial inspection, they tried to sell me on extra services I didn't need. I declined. Then magically, an hour later, I got a call saying my brake fluid now needed "urgent" replacement, even though they hadn't mentioned it before. Nothing had changed except that I said no. Not to mention my brake fluid was just changed less than a year ago. When I came to pick up my car, the advisor was polite but distant, like he just wanted me out the door. He pointed out the brake fluid they replaced, like that proved the upsell was necessary, but honestly, what am I supposed to do with that as a customer? I felt pressured and cornered because brakes are a safety issue, so of course I said yes. But it felt shady. To top it off, he almost forgot to close my hood, and I had to remind him. This isn't the first time I've seen this behavior either. During my mom's visits, they've messed up communication, made promises they didn't keep, and gave her the runaround more than once. All of it paints a clear picture: they don't care about long-term customers, just how much they can get out of you in one visit. Just got an ES350 yesterday at Lexus El Cajon. Very quick and easy. Brian was very honest and friendly.

My initial perception of Lexus El Cajon back in January was good. When we took my wife's car in last month, it was "okay", given that we arrived on time for our 0700 service appointment and nobody was at work yet. We had to wait nearly half an hour for their employees to come to work. Today was my third time at their service department, and now I know for sure that this is the norm here. Again, I arrived on time for my 0700 service appointment, and again, I had to wait on them to begin work. When I walked into service, there were two employees behind computers - neither acknowledged me, so I went back to the front desk to inquire where my service advisor was. I was told that anyone in service could help me, so I walked back to service. This time, my advisor was there, and got me signed in. The loaner car they gave me was dirty, not just construction dust dirty, but muddy on the outside, and spat out seeds of some sort in the cup holder dirty (see pic). The floor mats and seats were dirty as well, with debris all over the car. When I went to pick my car up, my advisor wasn't there, so someone else assisted me. He was fully ready to charge me $200 for the second oil change, but knew nothing about the issue I asked them to look into. When I asked if they resolved the issue, he fired back with "I have no idea as I have never looked at your paperwork before!". If you have no idea, then why are you assisting me? Which brings me to another point: they do not know how to address customers at Lexus. Rather than address people with "sir", or "ma'am", they say things like "hey, we'll be right with you, okay?" When the stand-in service advisor told me that my car would be brought to me out front, I walked out front, and the driver walked right past me and into the dealership. Then a few minutes later walked back out, and handed me the key - with tags on it. I gave you my key with nothing attached, why are you adding trash to my key and handing it to me? On top of that, my seat was jacked to the ceiling, as he was of far shorter stature than me, and the car was raging hot inside (it was 86F outside), so everything burned. These cars have remote start, and heck, you could just blast the AC for a few minutes to cool the car down, why give it back baking hot? Lexus is a brand that was founded on exceptional customer service - "experience amazing" is still their slogan, but it is far from their reality. In my view, the Lexus experience is just like the one I had with KIA: great cars - terrible customer service. They have consistently made me feel disrespected and unappreciated. On top of all this, they claim that you get your first two services on the house, yet the IS 500 has a compulsory 1k inspection where they just look at it to make sure nothing is falling off - no oil change. Today I found out that they consider the 1k inspection your first service, so I had to pay $200 for this oil change. Mental note: do your own services from now on, or at least take it to an independent mechanic. This is my first, and last Lexus product. I love the car, but hate the brand. read more

Disappointed hardly describes the unprofessionalism I've experienced from Lexus of ElCajon. I purchased a vehicle over a month ago using cash and a cashiers check and opted to have the signed contract and all other associated documents emailed to me. I've received nothing. Attempts to have the dealership keep their word and more importantly, comply with the law, have all been ignored. I have contacted managers, salespeople, left Yelp reviews and filed complaints with the BBB and DMV. Lexus of ElCajon has not responded to those two organizations either. I'm at a loss as to why Lexus of ElCajon has actively chosen to ignore the law and provide such poor customer service. If they have not lost my signed contract with my personal information, what is preventing them from simply emailing or at least mailing them to me as promised? I live over 70 miles away from the dealership however, even if it were just a few miles, the offer and agreement was to email the documents to me. A simple action on their part. It appears Lexus of ElCajon cannot keep their word on even the simplest of things or adhere to CA law. I would highly recommend that potential customers avoid this dealership to prevent frustrations like mine and greater, as mine could be solved very simply by them. They have consciously elected to ignore my several requests and refused to adhere to the law. This leads me to believe that anything even slightly more complex than sending an email, would result in customer service much worse than mine. read more

First off if this dealership was not forthcoming in getting a OTD price in a timely manner would have been great,but . The price I received was over 8 thousand dollars for a base model that included 2,880 of installed junk accessories and a 719.00 a non tax fee. Buyer beware of deceptive price gouging. And unwanted accessories or equipment installed on new vehicles. 60,111.11 and that's not even with financing. That would make the vehicle 64,000-65,000 . I spoke or text with two sales people and all I got was nothing but red flags in the conversations . I will not be buying or go there's not even for a test drive. I worked in sales for over 20 years and I never see nothing like this in how dealerships treating people with poor quality of service in answering simple question and asking for the best OTD (out the door ) price, just to get an over inflated price and to hear a salesman try to justify the outrageous OTD price and how they don't want customers shopping others dealerships for a better OTD price. read more

My girlfriend and I selected a car that we subsequently agreed that we were willing to buy at the listed price. Prior to the contract being written we were presented with an itemized list of the cost of the car. As I reviewed the list I saw a charge of close to $2000, listed as accessories. I asked and was told these were accessories that are added to the car. I explained to the salesman that we were not interested in these items and we would like for them to be removed from the car. The salesman went to the manager who then proceeded to explain to me that the items could not be removed, and that we really needed them. I politely told him we did not want these items and he proceeded to try to negotiate a price for these items that we did not want. I told him several times it was a deal breaker, remove them or we will leave. The manager then advised us that the accessories could not be removed and he would not include them in the car without us paying for them. At this time we thanked him and left the dealership. We subsequently went to another Lexus dealership and we were treated with honesty, dignity and respect. We purchased a car and paid exactly what we were quoted. What the manager at El Cajon Lexus did is well known in the industry. For them to refuse to remove these items is contrary to what the label says on the windshield of the very vehicle we were attempting to buy.
