I have visited this store a few times and they've been helpful. They seem to get a lot of customers but manage the lines quickly and assist where needed. The first time I went to the store was to purchase a car cover. Later I went back later for Bosch windshield wipers and a few other things. The staff even showed me how to put on my new windshield wipers in the rain! To me this was great customer service. Up until now this location has had what I've needed in-stock and on hand. I'm from the microwave generation, I want things now rather than waiting for items to arrive in the mail. So far AutoZone has been good for that! read more

Daniel, the front desk associate, , was extremely helpful in teaching my son (15 yo with drivers permit) in learning how to change a low-beam lightbulb in our Honda Civic Hybrid. Daniel's pleasant demeanor, very insightful knowledge, and actually coming out to my car to both verify the correct bulb ( there are 2 different model choices , $30 each) showed my son and I how to verify by connector shape, not just model number, he actually removed the bulb (push, twist, pull...IYKYK) , which made it easy for my son to replace the bulb....His First Time!!!! Went in to purchase windshield wipers and requested help. The clerk an Afro American woman believe her is Marquis. She was obviously have a bad day. I requested help and she ignored me and went on to the next customer. I hate to leave this review about this location because is usually very friendly and helpful but this clerk give this location a bad reputation. Had to returned because unable to install the wipers. A friend told me they will help me. Daniel was so helpful. He was friendly and so very willing to assist. He installed the wipers in less than 3 minutes. Even showed me how to install. Julian R is the man and displayed exceptional customer service during my visit. I went to another autozone and they struggled to help change my headlight. My model of car is notoriously tough. Julian happily helped me and actually changed both for me. He also made sure to check my brake lights bc I was about to go on long trip. One of them was out and he went in , found the right bulb, and changed it for me. Also pointed me in right direction for oil change and was super friendly and collaborative with his colleagues when working with me and answering my questions. I never felt like a bother. Today was our second time in, in just a few weeks. I can not praise this staff and particularly Katina enough. She turned what could have been at least hundreds of dollars at the dealership to a situation of learning and achievement and saved me hundreds. Her patience and kindness to guide this older mom through replacing a bulb in a headlight was a godsend. Honestly no simple task on an older European card. She was definitely our angel today. We don't drive a lot anymore. Living in the city of Chicago will kind of do that to you. Do I miss it? Yeah, actually, I do. I mean I don't miss the honking and the costs and the traffic. Dear god, the traffic. But just getting behind the wheel and driving - yeah, I miss that. So, we're in the car and we realize that the right headlight is out. Yep, winter will make that happen. So we're driving in the vicinity and use Yelp to find this Auto Zone. We give them a call and ask for a headlight lamp for a 2007 Honda Element. Yep! They have 5 left! Sweet! So we swing by and grab one. I tell my wife that I'm going to install it while we're there. She's stunned. I'm not a 'car guy' she says. Come on. I've replace headlights before. It's not that hard. So I go a head and replace it. Fine - it's out of alignment and I have not been able to get it back into place. So sue me. But it's in and she can avoid that ticket. I'll work on the alignment later. We run back in to get some wiper blades and ask for some paper towels to clean my grubby hands. The staff here is really helpful and friendly. No, they didn't offer to help me change the headlight or the wiper blades, but that's cool. They were nice, they were accurate, and that's about all I can hope for. Nice job folks! read more

Tonight I walked into AutoZone where there were two female employees so I asked if there were any men available and they said no and asked what they could help me with I said I need to buy a battery and have it installed, both females immediately said I'll do it, so Kasandra Took out my old battery and replaced it and also let me know that I don't need an alternator. This was my first and last visit to an Auto Zone location. I tried to buy 1 item. The store was empty and there were 4 employees behind the registers. The employee (really big guy) behind the register I was at was doing something on the computer and didn't acknowledge my presence. After waiting several minutes for him to finish what he was doing, I asked him if the register was open. He said "no". This wasted 8-10 minutes of my day. I went to another register and stood in front of an employee doing something on the computer for another several minutes and they never acknowledged that I was there. The employee that helped me was nice enough, but gave me completely the wrong advice. I've worked on used cars for years now and knew exactly what I needed. I asked for a specific battery and he offered to check the current battery to make sure. After he checked it he told me I needed a new alternator and that if I put a new battery in now, it won't last more than an hour before the car dies. I knew that was wrong though so I bought a battery elsewhere, then drove 300 miles the next day completely fine. read more

My car wouldn't start and I had to get a jump. I went to Auto zone to have them check my battery and see if I needed a new one, or if it was something else causing the problem. The guy that helped me was LJ. He was very helpful. He diagnosed the issue and we figured out it was the battery. He replaced it right then and there and the car was up and running. If all you are doing is buying something off the shelf, then go for it. If you need to speak to anyone, receive any sort of customer service, or trust something they have to tell you....then go find another store. I brought in a battery to be tested. I was told to come back in 1 hour for the results. I came back in 2 hours. I was in a hurry. The battery I left was still sitting where I left it, on the floor by the register. A guy tested the battery for 10 seconds and told me it was faulty...completely bad. I asked for a printout of that so I could claim it under warranty. He took my battery to the back for 5 minutes, tested it again and printed something out that said it was bad. I drove the battery to where I purchased it (12 miles away outside the city) where they had a reputable person and a tester that worked. He tested it in front of me and it was 100% perfect. Zero issues. So basically I wasted a day running around doing things because I was told my battery has bad when it wasn't. Good luck if you need real help here. read more

I locked my keys, wallet, and cell phone in my car and was completely locked out of my house with no way of contacting anyone to help. Not knowing what to do, I ran 2 blocks to Auto Zone hoping they could help me. The staff was so kind and while they couldn't solve the problem themselves, they talked me through my options, helped me get in touch with my insurance, and allowed me to use one of their personal phones to log into Facebook and contact my boyfriend (who memorizes people's phone numbers these days).
