Came in earlier this year after my Hyundai Accent battery kept dying every couple months. They did an inspection and told me my battery is bad and called AutoZone's manager and made sure they gave me a new one. I appreciated their honesty and they advised other services, which I agreed to. Jump to this week, my battery started acting up again and brought my car in. They did all the exams and saw it was the dash cam draining the battery, and advised I go to the place that installed it or unplug the battery before turning off the ignition. After multiple days of their inspection, they did not charge me and just requested a review. I appreciate their customer service and eye for detail, and will gladly come again. read more

I have been coming here for a while and I came across this place by looking at highly reviewed mechanic shops. I drive an Audi A6 so finding a shop that works on this car is a challenge. Whenever I do find a mechanic, they will charge an arm and a leg because of how difficult it is to do work on this car. I really appreciated the customer service from Luis Junior and Senior. I brought my Smart Fortwo to them. I already knew the problem was in the engine, but they were able to open the car up, take the engine out, and even showed me the engine and what was going wrong with it. It was a month-long process from getting the 1 hr diagnostic check-up, to finally deciding to open up the car with them, and then concluding it wasn't worth further work. This morning, I was on my way out the door to drive to the other part of the city for a dear colleague's funeral. My car wouldn't start. I was beyond upset, as I'd promised said coworker's mother that I would be there to pay respects (limited allowance of visitors at funeral homes right now, due to Covid). In any event, I walked next door to L&L Auto to see if they could help/loan me something. Within seconds they were in my garage checking and replacing my battery and I was on the road immediately and made it on time. A week ago I went to see them, as I figured I needed a tune up. They checked all and told me my car was fine and didn't need a thing. Zero charge. Hard to find good, honest businesses sometimes but these guys are always there for me. I brought my car in to L&L after hearing a loud exhaust noise and an increasing burning smell inside. Thinking it was an exhaust issue, they had found that I completely forgot to reinstall the oil cap after hastily topping it off. You guessed it...oil spurting all over the engine caused the smell and louder noise. My engine now looks nearly new after L&L fixed my simple mistake and completely spray washed the entire engine without charging me. Writing this review on behalf of my wife. We took her vehicle here for a problem around the end of November, the mechanic kept it for approx. 4 days after getting it back they charged me $681.92 for a tune up that he said would fix the problem. Come January I'm having the same issue with my vehicle so I called the owner of the shop to notify him of the problem and he advised me to bring my car in and charged me $60 for a diagnostic and stated if i wanted my car fixed it would be an additional $399 more on top of what I've paid, upon getting my vehicle back this time it came back with the check engine light on. I had to take it to another auto mechanic where he checked the "work" that was performed and it turns out the tune up done by this auto service shop was never done! He took out the spark plugs that should of been changed the first time and showed me they had never been changed. Be AWARE!! Save your time and money! I called the owner about this problem and he refused to rectify the situation. read more

They aren't CHEAP per se, but that's evidence that they do quality work at a reasonable price. They've definitely done a few things at a low or no cost that have made me feel that they really aren't looking to nickel and dime their customers. I was on a road trip in my Jeep when the check engine light came on. The shop was able to take my car in the same day that I called and diagnosed the issue. A solenoid had failed in the tranmission. The shop was able to find a pack of all three solenoids for the price of a single solenoid and saved me some money in parts while also replacing all the solenoids at once. The parts took a few days to come in because the age of my car, but the shop was able to install them the same day that they got them. They also replaced the tranmission gasket and filled the transmission with new fluid. Jeep is back to shifting smoothly! read more

I've brought my car here a few times, and I could not be happier with the service. Junior thoroughly explains the work being done and doesn't push a repair or new part like some places I've been. Recently, I had my car towed to the shop because it wouldn't start (even my tow truck guy couldn't get it started!) Of course, once it got to the shop, it started just fine! Junior took the day making sure everything was working properly and when I picked it up, it was washed and the tires were filled. Because they weren't able to find any issues, they didn't charge me! This place, in one word, is amazing. I had spent around $1,000 at another mechanic for a top to bottom fix, four months ago. I said, "i have to make this car last through graduation, so anything whatsoever that needs fixing, fix it." I'm not getting rid of my car until I buy a new one, post graduation and into my job. So, here is 4 months later, and my car stops completely. Luckily, this shop is right down the street from where I live. I went in, and they said they could fit me in that day! they picked up the car, and it took a little while to diagnose it. he basically went from least expensive to most expensive as far as what it could be. and, it turned out to be a timing belt. that, and i know i was leaking oil. So, he was direct. to get it running, will be $300. belt + gaskets = $375. belt+gaskets+water pump = $425. extremely, extremely cheap!!! granted, i have a tiny car whose engine can fall out very simply haha. i have an old toyota, but still VERY reasonable. When i hear "timing belt" i hear hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of dollars. this was a couple hundred. car was ready next day, and another repair came up that wasn't expected. he charged for the part only, and not labor. amazing customer service, he showed and explained why everything needed to be replaced. i will always bring my car here from now on read more
