This Autozone was great. The person that helped me was really professional. I had to return windshield blades from a previous buy, that my mobile mechanic opened but couldn't attach to my car. The person that helped me found the correct blades and went ahead and installed them for me and explained how to also remove them, too. I had a great experience, and hope people afraid of maintenance like that will not be once they realize they can just go to Autozone instead of feeling afraid of learning to do maintenance types of things that are actually empowering if done right. read more

Was looking for assistance on my low beam headlights and was surprised on the great customer service I got. Bought headlights in the morning and was told which ones with instructions how to do it. Realized later I don't have my tools with me, so I went back to potentially use theirs or have some assist me. Instead Damian, one their workers was more than happy to do it ALL for me with a great attitude, which is a service they don't typically offer. 10/10 service, recommend everyone to this specific store on I-35. In addition to the complaints of most others (terrible customer service, lack of employee knowledge, insufficient amount of employees staffed to handle customer volume) which I experience every time I go there as well, today's experience was extra bad. I asked for a battery for my '90 Miata, and the associate brought one out that had scuffs all over it and looked like it had seen better days. I asked if it was refurbished and he said no, it was new. So I purchased the batter for $250, took it home, put it on the car, still wouldn't start. Now I know it's the starter that's bad (car stays running once it's on, so I know the alternator is good). When I tried to return the battery and get the starter, the associate stated that they could not accept it as a return because he could see a small mar on one of the terminals. I saw the tiny mark as well, but it is hardly enough to prevent proper mating. I wish this was explained at he time of purchase. I have been a customer of this poorly run store for 10+ years and would like be a customer for 10+ more given their proximity to my home, but not anymore. Autozone, I hope that $250 was worth the thousands of lost dollars you would have made had you a policy of valuing your customers. read more

I would've gave it 1 but the manager on duty was nice and efficient so he saved it a little. I believe his name name was joe or John. Great job sir Why I wanted to give it a 1 star, was due to the woman "helping" us her name is Cindy. Not only was she slow which I get it, it's a long day and they seemed super busy so I wasn't even going to mention that however she was rude. The person in front of us spoke broken English but it was good enough to understand what he was asking for. Instead of trying to hear him out she was quick to dismiss him and pass him off to another employee in the back who I assume was Hispanic. When the customer asked her why her response "well I can't understand your English". Her tone sounded like she was annoyed Next it was us, my husband gave her the part number and pointed it out on the screen when she pulled it up on the system she confirmed and went back to get it. After a while the nice manager asked to make sure we were being taken care of made small talk. During this time she gets back with the wrong part and my husband noticed right away because the box size was tiny compared to what we were getting. Instead of double checking or even looking at the picture he had pulled up on his phone she wanted to tell him he was wrong that was the part number he asked for (which it wasn't) she stood there for a minute trying to blame him for her grabbing the wrong part. The manager, who was standing there this whole time, told her it was wrong and he'll go grab it. She made a sigh when he told her where it was located so I guess instead of dealing with her he took it upon himself to grab it. read more

Okay, so I went here to grab a new battery 2 Sundays ago. My Nissan Rogue died at a friend's house, and just needed to replace the battery. When I walked in no one greeted us, I stood in line unsure of where to go, and the guy at the register just looked at us annoyed and asked if he could help us. The entire interaction of him charging us for the battery and replacing it was actually the worst. He looked annoyed with having to help us, he complained openly, "I may be able to help you if people stoped taking my tools." Extremely unprofessional. Fast forward to today, and my car isn't starting. I take it to Nissan, and the fix took 5 minutes. The guy at Auto Zone didn't tighten any of the bolts on the battery correctly, so the battery was moving around the whole time. The experience was so bad, and as someone who doesn't know much about cars, I would hope that I could trust the people working at auto stores with their knowledge. Especially if they're doing something to my car like replacing the battery. read more

Okay take your time and read through this review. I walked into this store to look for a light bulb they didn't have any for my application so I grabbed other things and got in line, 3 people ahead of me. 5 register and only one cashier working (short on staff) which happens to be the store manager for that shift ANETTE so a Hispanic was trying to purchase new wipers for his car as some of you guys know passenger side is sometimes different sz than the drivers side so this guy didn't comprehend what she kept telling him due to his lack of English so Anette was being very rude to him it got to the point where everyone in line looked at her like (relax lady) just because you're having a bad day doesn't mean you have to make people feel bad or ashamed of themselves because they don't speak any English,so she had to stop for a second and took a deep breath and said im sorry I haven't had my nap So. So I stepped in and explain to him what she was telling him that he needed a different sz for his passenger side because i felt bad for him the way she made him feel (stupid) when she should be setting a example for the store being the manager of the shift. So he grabds the right sz and pays and leaves! I get back behind in line and the lady in front of me happens to go through the same thing the lady had a entourage in her hands and she couldn't explain what she was looking for so she turns back and looks at me like can you help me explain what i need because ANETTE was already heated from previous customer so she gave this lady a insane look and attitude I stepped in once again to help this lady and now ANETTE mean mugs me for telling her what the customer is saying. So i said you need to relax take things one at a time dont be this RUDE to customers. If she is the manager at this store she definitely needs to be setting a example and not making Hispanics feel stupid And as most stores do why not hire bilingual people that are willing to make the store a better environment for themselves and customers. I was looking for a battery for my VW that my roommate has been driving since I am looking to get rid of it but, when I went to start it of course the battery was dead. I hopped in my car and drove over here hoping not to have to pay an arm and a leg for a battery on a car I am getting rid of. I explained the situation to the gentleman at the counter and he said yes those batteries are pretty expensive for that car but, you can use this one even though it is a little smaller of a size it still works. I was glad to hear this because I had been to another auto parts store by my house that said I couldn't use any other battery except the recommended one. I purchased it and headed home hoping he was right and he was it worked just fine and it didn't cost me an arm and a leg. I returned the battery the next day and received the credit in cash and went on my way. I have a love hate relationship with auto parts stores because most times the people working there aren't extremely educated on the products or options to fix your problem but, this location was on both accounts. read more

Wow! Was at the hospital overnight (right around the corner) and started the morning with a dead battery! Called to see if someone could bring me a new battery (mine was already a few years past it's prime). Scott worked it out for me, had someone (Ramon) bring me a new battery, switch them out, and then did a charge test back at the shop. Total time was less than 45 minutes....part of which was Ramon trying to find me. A great crew, went out of their way to show and give excellent customer service!! read more

I went in looking for a clamp , no one could help me get the right clamp compatible to what my car needed. So I bought multiple sets. Wouldn't go out and show me how to install them... Literally had to pay a man working on his truck 10 bucks to install them. He was the most helpful one there I almost went inside and got him an application. I have a commercial account with them and get treated 10 times better when commercial is open. I guess they are only helpful when you spend thousands and not $20.00. read more

I live really close to here and needed some washer fluid. It's a Monday morning I think to myself. How busy could it be, I asked. Well, I wouldn't say it was busy but I will say it took me probably 10-15 minutes just to check out with washer fluid. The parking lot if one of the worst and scariest lots in the city. Then to boot, the guy who checked me out seemed like he was pissed that I only bought washer fluid and couldn't be bothered. I don't really have a preference when it comes to car part stores but I definitely won't be coming here again. Which is stupid because it's so close to my place. read more

Yesterday late afternoon, my car battery died, so right after I jump started it, I took it to the nearest Auto Zone (from HEB at the Hancock Center), which was here. I left the engine on and popped my hood and walked in, hoping to find someone who would be able to explain what was wrong with my battery. When I walked inside, both people who were at the front were already helping other customers. Since I left my car running, I was hoping to find someone quickly to check out my car, but no one from the back bothered to help a frantic looking me pacing in between the cash register and the window to check my car. I was starting to get really irritated because I saw some people in the back just stocking parts, but honestly, if there is a customer needing your help, you should try to do something about it. I know this sounds really odd for a 5 star review, but bare with me here. Then like 5 minutes later (after a lot of pacing back and forth and starting to get really pissed), a man that I saw earlier outside on my way in (who was helping another customer at the time), walked in, saw me pacing and asked me what I needed assistance with. I told him I was having trouble with my car battery and explained that I didn't even know how to take off the plastic covering my battery. He then proceeded to teach me how to uncover the plastic, going out of his way (went to his car to find a small screwdriver and went inside the store to find a bigger screwdriver as well), and showed me how to pop it off and place it back on. He also found the problem with my battery (a loose screw), and went ahead and tightened that for me as well. Not only did he assist me with everything I needed, he also went and gave me tips on when to know I should change out my battery. Kind and knowledgeable was just what I needed on a crappy hot day. Thanks so much Garbin!! You are the only reason this place got 5 stars; I hope your boss sees this and gives you a promotion or something. And also, now that I think about it, maybe it was just because I was having a pretty awful day and it was darn hot outside, so it felt like an eternity before other sales reps got to me. But still, I see you backroom stocking guy(s). You could've at least asked me if I needed something after making eye contact with me. read more

My 2015 Mazda CX-5 car battery was testing weak so I called around to various auto part stores to get prices and warranty info. When I called this Auto Zone location, I was assisted by Antonio who was very helpful with information and pricing. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and patient with addressing all my questions. Auto Zone had the best prices and warranty with Duralast Gold Battery for $139.99 with a 5 year warranty (3 yrs full, 2 yrs prorated). Other stores had less expensive prices but poor warranty. This was the best deal! I went in to the store the following day during my lunch hour to pick up the battery. I was immediately greeted by the Assistant Manager (believe his name is Timothy) who was quick to assist me and get the battery I needed. I asked if the battery was easy to replace and he said yes then offered to replace it for me at no cost. I paid for the battery and then we went outside. As he replaced the battery he was helpful by explaining what he was doing it and why. He was done in under 10 minutes. From my first phone call for pricing to leaving the store with my new battery installed... overall it was excellent customer service! I will definitely frequent this location again and recommend others to as well. Thank you for your help! read more

I went to this store to simply get two sets of a bolt and nut combo. I waited for a sales rep to become available and then proceeded to tell him what my problem was. My front spoiler was loose so I just needed to know what size he would recommend that I buy. After taking a look at my car, he said that there was no problem that he could see. He spoke to me in a degrading tone, like I was stupid. Just because I am a young woman does not mean I am a moron, in fact I am very knowledgeable. After arguing with him for a while I finally got mad and left. I will never waste my time at this store again. read more
