HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Have had the lifted truck for 15 months with 38,500 miles. Bought it at 13,000 miles. The "manager" told us all lifted trucks come with 100,000 mile bumper-to-bumper warranty as the original warranty is voided when they do this type of work. There is a major rattle under the truck, BOTH passenger side doors need to be adjusted as they are loose and the computer inside the truck is freezing and not shutting off when the truck is off. Brought the truck in Saturday 09/03/22, and was told they have no mechanics on Saturdays which is weird, to begin with, but ok that's your service hours. Didn't initially see the salesman we purchased the truck from, so another gentleman "helped" us said to bring it back Tuesday after speaking with the manager I asked if 8:00 AM would be ok as I work, and he responded, "the mechanics start at 10 but they come in and have to eat breakfast and they are lazy so they don't get started til about 10:30 and I don't want you to waste your time". When exiting the facility ran into the salesman we bought the truck from, and said to bring the truck in on Tuesday, after telling us to google the issue to troubleshoot ourselves. WELL TIME WASTED - Arrived at 12:30 PM Tuesday 09/06/22 to be told I am out of warranty due to the mileage. I asked about the 100,000-mile warranty he said IDK anything about warranties, checks the truck mileage, goes back to the manager, comes back with a piece of paper stating I have the 100,000-mile warranty bumper to bumper but it would be better if I brought it to a GM dealer as they are better equipped to deal with this type of issue. Which one, I have 3 different issues. So I ask Why did you waste my time asking me to come in on Tuesday, to which he responds - "Did I tell you to come in on Tuesday?" Excuse me? I reminded him and the other manager of BOTH conversations that took place on Saturday while in their facility to which he responds "Where are you coming from? as I responded WORK he said well at least it isn't a total waste you now have the information. Do better AutoVilla, I already had the information from the purchase which I now need to research to understand if I was forcefully made to purchase an extended warranty, uninformed. Clearly, I reminded you I had this warranty. Why did you waste my time and get yourself this terrible review if you would do nothing? Be upfront. Don't waste people's time. You had mechanics in the facility today but no, not one person could even look at the truck at all! After informing them they were NO HELP AT ALL, then snidely the salesman says well someone could look at it but it will take about a week. I left - Too late, as you recommended I will just purchase right from GM in the future. I will also make sure GM is aware of the treatment and ask for a review of the "warranty" you provide or sell as "comes with" What businesses like you fail to understand is you need business from purchasers like me - not the other way around. read more

Terrible experience. The only reason I bought my truck from them is because it was the exact year, trim, and mileage I was looking for. The salesperson was absolutely clueless about the truck itself. Less than a week of having it, I had to replace a real tire and now I am needing to replace another front tire. Both from gashes in the side wall. It was my fault for not test driving in the daylight, but when I asked about the tires I was assured that the tread and overall wear on the tires would be 70% or better or they would've been replaced. This was obviously not the case. I also was concerned that the DEF gauge was reading 0 when I was driving it home and when I called the next day the salesperson told me the previous owner removed it, why would you not bring that up in the sales process? Recommendation, don't like to buyers and hire more competent sales people. Never will I purchase from them again, nor would I recommend anyone using them. read more

If I could give a zero star I would!!! We bought a 2014 Dodge Ram. The manager was driving it as a demo, ok fine... but his kid had a half eaten granola bad in the cup holder with spilled juice that was never cleaned up, pistachio shells under the seat they never cleaned up and it was given to us dirty on the inside. GROSS!!! THEN they told us since it was late at night and it was being used as a demo that we could bring it back in for an oil change. We called 7 times before we finally got a call back to schedule the oil change. After 4 weeks (less than a thousand miles) the service engine light goes on. We brought it in and there were 5 open recalls, 4 of them leading to the problem we were having. I worked at a dealership for years and it is general practice that when you sell vehicles you make sure the recalls are taken care of. Now we will be without the vehicle for a week because they didn't do what they should have before they sold the vehicle. The only thing this dealership wants is your money and they're great up until they get it. After that, they don't care. read more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I bought a used Ford Excursion from this dealership and they informed me about some minor issues with the vehicle that we agreed to fix if the price was lowered. We fixed them, and we discovered later that the vehicle had a major glaring safety issue - the ball joints were rusted well beyond what is safe. The vehicle pulled to the left because of this and they said it was "just an alignment issue" - not so. This is a $1000-2500 fix. Anyone could have seen that easily if the vehicle was elevated and examined by their mechanics - which is obviously was, because they spray painted over the rust in the wheel wells right next to it. Therefore their mechanics are really stupid, or their salesmen are operating deceptively. When I informed them about this, the owner refused to do anything about it to make this situation better. This place is to be avoided AT ALL COSTS! You are taking a major risk if you shop here, and if you are daring enough to do so, you better get a pre-purchase inspection or you could get screwed - HARD - because of their deception (or outright stupidity). read more

First time I was there the sales person did not listen to me at all. Even after I said I was not going to buy that day, he kept asking the good ol' question: What can I do to get you to buy today? 2nd time I was there, the manager was trying to find his salesperson and was just unprofessional. Nice, but unprofessional. The salesperson was really nice and seemed honest. (What can you do, but try to be positive when buying a used car?) I had already been to several dealers and because of my current financial situation I knew it would be very hard, if not impossible to buy a 2nd car. (I already had a note on my existing car) Anyway, they really did seem to get the job done, even worked with me on my down payment. The car seemed okay at first. I chose it because of the brand, and the cleanliness of the car. I drove it to work the first few days and a co-worker noticed that I had a "bubble/bulge" in one of the tires, which is dangerous. I mentioned it to the manager at Auto Villa, but nothing was offered. The passenger side view mirror also needed the "cap" part that matches the finish of the car, which the manager PROMISED he would fix. Anyway, I figured okay no huge deal, I will get the tire fixed. When I went to get the tire fixed, the place I took it to, told me I had a tire rod problem. To the tune of about $600.00. I called Auto Villa and the first thing they said was, "Oh you should have brought that to me/my mechanic. That place you went to, is just trying to sell you something." Um....okay. Well I decided to get it fixed at MY place. I was also supposed to have an extended warranty. I have asked about the mirror part 3 times and have been told, "It's been ordered...It'll be in on such and such date..." and still never got it fixed. I do not have any paperwork on the supposed warranty, even though when I asked at least twice about it, I was told I had it in my paperwork already. So basically I would say, they seem to be a .....get the deal bought, and then get the customer outta here..... type of place. They were very nice to me until I signed the papers, and actually were still nice after that, but just reluctant to do anything or follow-up with what they said they were going to do. I have not decided if I am going to keep bugging them about some of the items. I don't have time to chase things, promised or not. For me, I was in a situation where I had to take what I could get. I did not have the luxury of a lot of options. So, that's how I look at it. read more

Found a truck I was interested in. Looked very nice in the pictures. Dealer made it sound like it was really nice. I wanted to have it inspected and the dealer said that was fine. I had financing lined up and shipping all figured out as i am a little ways away. All that was needed was a inspection and sale agreement. All was going well until this. Found a shop that was only 4 minutes away, set up an appointment and told the dealer. Salesman said "i can get it there". Calls back shortly says he cant get it there but one of his guys will take it. Don't hear anything from the shop. Contact salesman with another question about the truck and let him know i still hadn't heard anything about the inspection from the shop. He then tells me he didn't have time to take it to the shop(even though he told me he would have one of his guys take it). His reason was he had another customer in for a different vehicle. Then he also said the truck i had the appointment to have inspected was sold. Sold it out from under me, a serious buyer. Poor business in my book. Nothing but vile statements from cowardly men who fabricate documents and conduct unethical business practices. They reviewed check stubs, took a trade in, and $2000 cash and sold me the car. A month later they called saying to return the car immediately because the loan wasn't approved. What the $@!#? They said they would not refund money or return the trade in. After being verbally degraded they agreed to pay some money back and give back the trade in. Costing me $1200 loss for doing business with them. They have yet to deliver my title and plates for my old car. It's been 2 months. The car was a total lemon. Lots of ripped interior and a hack job paint job that I did not noticed until leaving the lot. Also way overpriced. They told me I could refinance in 6 months but when I called the bank they said that was a lie. I wish I could've returned the car after a week. I was relieved they wanted the car back but not that they wouldn't provide a refund since they chose to breach the contract. This was a costly mistake. They have 5 claims with the BBB that have not been responded to, one of which is mine. This is a shady place that conducts a bad business selling total POS cars. Auto Villa was very helpful and easy to work with. I told them what my price range was and what we could afford. I found a truck on Facebook and asked if we could take it out for a test drive. After we sat down with Steve and tried to figure out if we could make it work. At first the payments were way to high and thought we wouldn't even come close to what we could afford. After negotiating back and forth we finally settled on a payment we were happy with. Drove the new truck home that night. The next day I woke up and my truck was dead,found out my dash lights were staying on and draining the battery. So I messaged Steve and explained what was wrong with it and he said bring it back and we will take a look at it. They fixed the few things that were wrong with it. Now everything works like it should and even delivered it back to my house so I wouldn't have to drive and get it because I live about 45 mins away. The towing guy who works for auto villa told me. my gf got a Mazda and few hours later it broke down. the next day we got it towed and got a new car which was very nice of them to exchange the car for us. They said the Mazda was a 30 dollar fix but when I look it had leaks from the oil pan and who else knows. When we got the Chevy which is our current car. they gave us a new battery. said nothing was wrong except it had 160,000 miles on it. now we are paying the price. Oh where do I start.....well a couple years ago I needed a new car so I came to auto Villa in mchenry when it was at its old location. Now this was my first time buying a car on my own without a co-signer therefore I was pretty worried about getting screwed over nor did I think my credit was good enough to get approved for one. Well I fell in love with a car that by the way when I first inquired about it the salesman sa d it had 70k miles on it, it wasn't until we went to get in it for a test drive that I noticed it had close to 170k miles and when I said something the salesman just played dumb....should have ran off then but was in love with the car. We get back from test drive and they tell me that they can definitely find a place to approve my loan and that to drive off with the car they needed 2500 down so I pay the down payment a few days later and go through all the paperwork and they hand me the keys and I leave. Well I was an idiot cuz I should have had the car checked out because I went to check the oil and the whole damn hood about fell off cuz one hinge was completely broke and the other was almost broke. Well long story short I drive this piece of shit car for about a month when one day at work I get a call from the manager of Auto Villa saying that I need to bring the car back cuz he couldn't find anyone to give me a loan. No correct me if I'm wrong but is a dealership allowed to let you leave the lot with a car if there's no approved loan???? Well I tell him that I'll bring the car back as long as I get my money back from the down payment and this asshole says it's not that easy so basically I fight with them over this for a few days till finally they say they will refund me 1000 out of the 2500 because the other money went to tax and they can't get that back ....hahaha yea fucking right. Well I go there and happily give them their garbage car back and get my 1000 dollar check. I then proceeded to file a complaint with the BBB and low and behold just the other day I got an email from the Illinois Attorney Generals Office asking if I have any paperwork from them still and want it which I presume is probably because I'm not the only schmuck this place has scammed and now the attorney general is coming after them.. please if your smart don't buy from this place.
