This is ridiculous, I been here since 7:40am and it is 12:24 pm. All I got is an oil change & filter and rear brakes and rotors changed. I made an appointment for 7:40 am. I been here almost 6 hours. It is $900 for rear pads, front rotors which I wasn't told, rear rotors but no front pads. They gave me other stuff they say I need to fix, they say it is somewhere over $3000. I say I can't afford that so just do 2 things I need. I was here before for just an oil and filter done with tires rotate and I was there for 3 hours. I thought it would be different since it is early in the morning. Ah no difference. He said the brakes were stuck that is why it took so long but 5 hours to get it unstuck, really? Don't come here guys. My total came out to $1061 just for oil change, tire rotation, rear pads $100, rear rotors $240 they say I needed but they change my front rotors $300, front pads $150 and that was it. Too expensive and the 6 hour wait. The guy said he took off $100 because it took too long. First time okay it took long but second time 6 hours, not okay. You won't have my business again. read more

I made an appointment Thursday for a key reprogrammed on Saturday .I also asked for a call to tell me how much it would cost and how long it would take. Nobody called me but I did get an appointment reminder Friday. Saturday morning I get a text saying I need an earlier appointment to get that done. I called to see if I could get a loaner car and just leave it there since I took the day off work ( unpaid) to go out there since I live 49 miles away. They tell me they can't even do a key reprogram for my car because they aren't a Mitsubishi dealership anymore. When I made the appointment they ask what kinda car and knew I wanted a key reprogram. Avoid this place like the Plague- I bought a car from here and later asked questions about the inspection they so claim to have done as i had some issues that arose and they said they didnt look at anything as the car was low on miles. I was like how can you claim on the carfax report complete inspection done and sell a car that has been "certified" with even looking at the car... Needles to say they didnt stand behind there word and I had to foot the bill of which they claimed was inspected and good. If I could give no stars that's exactly what I would do. The level of unprofessionalism I have received from this establishment is atrocious. From the minute we walked in we should have walked out. The first car we looked at was dead but we understood lights can be left on.. once jumped the engine light wouldn't go off.. when we told the salesman that we were uncomfortable purchasing a car with an engine light we were given so much kick back.. but we go to another car and take a guess.. ALSO DEAD. That should have been our time to go but my husband and I still purchased a brand new car from this dealership in.. back in May... when we attempted to make our first months payment we couldn't and when we reached out to the loan company to try and pay they told us to wait because we don't have a account just yet. Fast forward to end of July we find our castle never sent our paper work. So not only did our payment not get set up but WE WEREN'T EVEN OFFICIALLY APPROVED! We get that taken care of and move on to August the transmission of the brand new car fails.. I call castle to get in and was given the worst customer service... I was told that I needed to wait until Saturday and there are no loaners because loaners need to be scheduled out and they wouldn't give me one.. mind you we are paying extra for the warranty we were told would cover any maintenance, loaners, etc... i asked to speak with a manger and have not been contacted. I will never do business with this place again and warn others before doing so. My car is being serviced at biggers in Elgin and we are being treated like proper paying customers. read more

The old owner had a bad reputation for being less than honorable. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss... Beware - The advertised price my vehicle was not honored. Additionally, there is a $2,000 protection package added to all cars - want it or not. I take care of my vehicles, I don't need cigarette burns covered. The truck which was a no-brainer at $61k, became a challenge at $65k, and then real stretch since it is actually $67k due to the protection package, which was not included in the online price, sticker price, etc... and was another unwelcome surprise. I won't even get into the myriad financing issues. I'm about as honest and honorable as they come, and the result of my dealings with Castle, I am an unhappy customer that regrets his decision, and I will be reminded of this every month for the next 83 months. I'd highly recommend looking at other dealerships in the area, perhaps they can do a dealer trade. After the sale, I received a daily call from some guy named Jake (I have no idea if this is a real person), I responded to him with a detailed list of concerns, I have not heard back from him. My gas card would be in the mail that day... Never Ever received it. I even went back there 2 weeks later and asked were the the gift card ?? It was noted that my review I put through to Kia was poor, however that is not the case overall, and I'm not sure where the discrepancy came from. After talking about a few cars, the general manager Nick was able to intervene and help me find a car within my price range. I was skeptical about a sportage but Nick was able to assist me with our other salesman to find me a good deal that met me where I wanted to be with monthly cost. Though the process was long, I am grateful for the deal I got for my new car- it's a great car too and meets all the safety requirements I wanted. I went in for an oil change today. I asked if they honored competitors coupons and the service manager said not usually. So I asked if he would take this one and he then said they do not take competitors coupons and told me it would be an hour and a half wait. I asked if I could leave my info and come back in then. He said no. I asked if I could make an appointment. He said they do not take appointments for only oil changes. So why have an online appointment calender on their website? I would not use this dealership for any reason. There service department is extremely poorly organized. Ordered a part for my vehicle and after four months of calling every week they lost my order. I then reordered the part and they lost the additional documentation a second time. Makes me question if they can't run a parts department how does the rest of the dealership function. read more

Hands down worst dealership I have ever done business with. I really blame myself for being an out of state customer. The vehicle had more damage than I was originally told by salesman. The car has started problems and wasn't serviced. 2 days after receiving the car I paid $3k for full service and new starter because the car wouldn't start properly. On top of that I have already paid my first car note, it is going on 2 months and my car still isn't registered Because the paperwork was sent to my local DMV not filled out properly. I have been on the phone with the dealership for hours only being transferred from voicemail to voicemail. I will NEVER work with them or refer them to anyone. read more

But once we left the dealership, they were DONE WITH US!!!We inquired about purchasing an accessory for the car with the salesman who closed the deal...he told us that accessory could NOT be installed in car. As we knew this was not the case, we then inquired with Jordan, the sales manager, took days to get back to us and quoted a price of almost $700+tax to install. We received an email directly from Kia, with the same accessory, install included, for $407.98. Jordan told us that that price was for a NEW custom ordered cars ONLY and that he didn't think he could honor it and would get back...he never called back. This is the worst dealership I have ever been to! I brought my car in Monday to get my thermostat fixed since the gauge wasn't working and gave them other issues I was also experiencing. I was there for 6hrs! Then the next morning when I went to use my remote start the car wouldn't turn over(an issue I told them about) and when I finally got it to turn over the temp gauge wasn't working again...literally 14 hrs after they fixed it! I talked with Joe collins and he said he'd reach out yesterday for a available loaner and never got a call back. I work 3rd shift at my job and can't afford to be spending my whole day at the dealer when I need to get sleep. I would never recommend this place to anyone! read more

Steer clear of this place. I made an appointment there for an appraisal after they contacted me in response to the Kelley Blue Book offer I had received, and they indicated they were very interested in the vehicle. I explained that I was in WI and this was for the estate of a family member because I wanted to make sure I brought in all the necessary paperwork. When we got there, it was clear they had no intention of honoring the offer and told us that even though the vehicle was in great shape, they could not pay more than a particular amount (which was 20% lower than the KBB offer). The reason they gave is that the mileage on the vehicle was too low. This did not make any sense so I asked them to explain but they couldn't. I expressed my frustration that they had wasted our time with the bait and switch and we had made special arrangements for the appointment since we were not from the area, but they didn't care. We walked outside and it appeared they were expecting us to come back in, thinking we didn't have another option. We ended up leaving and selling the vehicle to another dealer nearby that took great care of us without an appointment and gave us the KBB price. I'm just so sad that Castle Autoplex would treat people like this who are dealing with the death of a family member. read more
