What happen to Jay and Vince ??? AutoTek was the best for customer service and getting your car done without over pricing. What happen to Jay and Vince ? Two best guys that know customer service. This other guy Dave that took over is a smart ass! I remember him from 3-4 years ago when he tried to over price my in-laws. I know Dave's price was not the right price....too high compared to other shops. Jay took over, took care of my in-law's car and didn't try to over price. This guy Dave has an attitude problem and does not know customer relationship business. What do you expect he sat in a tow truck for years. That is like taking someone out of a cave with no people then engaging him with people....it doesn't work. I don't need a guy like this where I take my car for repairs. I now take my car elsewhere and have told other that I referred to AutoTek that the customer service is not the same and NO Dave can not do the same job as Jay and Vince did with customers. read more

Took in my beefed up Firebird to these guys and they fixed the exhaust leak quickly. Not only that, they were also very friendly :)

I wish I could give this place a million stars. Awesome, Awesome, Awesome!! Go here, you will not be disappointed. My starter went out at 11 am on a Saturday, called in and was told to bring my car down. Took it down and got it fixed the same day for a reasonable price. I thought for sure it was going to be a week long process to order parts then come back etc etc but I was pleasantly surprised with every aspect of this place. 5 stars! Brought my 04 5 series BMW in, my rotors were shot so they needed to be re-surfaced. The general manager Jay gave me a great deal on the rotor work and oil change, even reset my internal data settings (which fixed the beeping that would sound every hour). I got great customer service and service on the car! read more

Excellent service! The whole staff are friendly and helpful. I took my 2006 Ford Escape in for struts and tire rods. However, Autotek did their own diagnosis and found out that the problem is not the struts and tire rods but the arm control. They notified me right away. When I picked up the SUV, I was beyond satisfied! Thanks so much! I'll be bringing in my G37 soon. FYI- The diagnostic fee is waived when you decide to repair your vehicle there. Highly recommended! read more

Awesome!!! The managers really care about getting things done for you. I came in with a certain amount of money and it turns out that I had to have some brake pads replaced and a few light bulbs. I could not afford the price that they told me but they worked with me. I almost had to spend some of my rent money on my car but they helped me. Very helpful, family oriented and they really care about helping you get to where you need to go with your vehicle. I definitely will recommend this place to a lot of people. They're not just about the money, they actually care about getting things done accurately and making things affordable for you!! read more

If I could give it 0 stars I would. This place has no businesss being in business. My sister has been ripped off. I delete another review in good faith cause the company said they would fix the problem. After the 3rd time taking her car back for repair cause they refuse to refund my sisters money. They had the car again for 1 1/2 months. Got her car back Friday with a horrible sound. My sister has asked numerous time for even half refund which Fay refuses to do. Claims it's not their policy. I guess their policy is take your money and to hell with everything else. So her car is back in the shop, mind you $2700 later. If they don't fix it soon we will demand the car back with refund. If not we will sue for full amount. This place is a scam. Do not take your car here cause good customer service is not their priority. Will keep you updated. Today is Dec 16 2021. After reading that a gun a pulled on the last customer that scares me. read more

Great service! My car blew a oil line on a Friday evening. I brought my car is Saturday morning. They drive out to pick up my part to get my car fixed the same day. Auto Tek was honest and the price was fair. They showed me my old broken part and explained the job throughly. I was really please and would recommend their service for auto repairs. It's hard to find a good honest mechanic. read more

I'm originally from the bay area but currently live about 2 hrs away for college. I swear every time I need work done to my car I'll make that drive here. I love how informative and attentive they are, but most importantly, honest. I never feel like they're trying to rip me off. The guys there can take of you and I would definitely recommend to friends and family. read more

Many thanks to Jay for helping solve my computer problem and pass smog. He told me exactly how to drive the car and for how long. After following his instructions, the car passed with flying colors. He's one the good guys out there! read more

I truly apologize for my actions. This business has been good to me. They do their best to make sure that your car runs its best.

Had my Jeep towed after it wouldn't turn over, and after I tried installing a starter myself. The people who worked there spoke to me in layman terms - explained the problem and even fixed a battery cable after the diagnostics. These people know their stuff. You should ask for KELLY, he is an Auto Tek wizard. read more

I needed a smog test for my vehicle 2006 Mercedes ML350. My car had never missed a scheduled maintenance from the dealership. After about 15 minutes the mechanic says that I have a severe leak on the transmission, which is odd because the car stays garaged and it would be quite noticeable on the floor of my garage. So he showed me that there was fluid on the transmission. He said it looked pretty severe and that he could not recommend me driving it under these conditions. He said that he could do the work, and it would be much cheaper than the dealership. I have only lived in California for 2 years and I have not found a mechanic that I trust and not to mention I have always taken my car to the dealership. So I told him that I would take my chances and getting home. He completed the smog test and I paid for the service. This was puzzling to me because a 3 years ago a there was a service bulletin about a problem with the engine from Mercedes and the engine was pretty much rebuilt so it didn't seem likely and if there was a major leak from the transmission I would have notices something. But it drove just as well as it always had. When I go home I jacked it up and looked underneath but I really didn't know exactly what I was looking for. I looked on line and Mercedes is quite pricey for transmission problems more money than I was willing to invest. So I drove my other car. Fast forward 6 months. A mechanic friend that was visiting my house asked my what was wrong with my ML and I told him what the mechanic had told me. He took a look at it and said that there was nothing wrong with the car's transmission. I took it to the dealership and they said the same. To say the least I would not let these guys touch my car. They are not to be trusted and I would question anything that is posted positive about them. read more

I have been coming here for years and have had plenty of work done on my cars. They do quality work with the best prices in the area. In addition they are trust worthy and won't rip you off like other automotive places. The owner Jay and manager Nathan bent over backwards to help me. After being more then fair with me on a recent car issue, Nathan picked me up on his day off opened the shop which was closed as well so I could pick up my car a day early! They are good people and I will continue to use them. Come here with confidence! read more

If your looking for great results and great deals I recommend you go to auto tek repair. I needed a new water pump/belt and a new cooling ressovore and they only charged me $170 dollars for the labor. I honestly dont know what i wouldve done if it wasnt for them. Every other place i called was charging way to much for my budget, but auto tek actually works with your budget and can get alot done for you for a very low price . -Tarisha Brown read more

I would recommend Auto Tek for your car repair needs. They offer excellent prices and great customers service! I mostly dealt with Kelly, Nathan and Jason. They are the BEST!! I brought my 2002 SAAB because it would not start and would turn off. I personally know nothing about cars, but they were able to explain things clearly in a manner where I knew what was going on throughout the repairs. The car had many issues and the work required seemed very complicated but they were able to diagnose the problem and correct them in a reasonable amount of time. My car has now passed smog and I can finally register it and get it on the road, thanks to Auto Tek!! Coming from NY and not knowing any good auto repair shops in the area, I am glad that I chose them! I am happy customer. read more

These guys are so friendly and isn't that already a huge plus in itself? Most mechanics I've gone to are just so rude but not these guys.

I bought a car a year ago from my neighbor. Which was my first car a 1995 Nissan Maxima, He told me everything with the car was up to par. I just need a new battery and air in the tires but it turned out that was all a lie I need it so much more.....Which really pissed me off cuz now that was about nineteen hundred dollars down the drain. So I called around to some shops to tell them what the problem was they were asking for outrageous prices. So I call my grandmother to see what shop she took all cars to she told me to try Auto Tech because they really good prices and they had excellent service and they weren't going to try to get over on me just because I was a woman. Like most shop do.... So I called up there and I spoke with a guy named Kelly and he was very nice over the phone very professional and he said I can have my car towed they would actually come to the house and told my car for me which I thought was really cool. So that following week I had my car towed I went to the shop and I spoke with a guy named Nathan also very professional I told him everything that was going on with the car he told me that he would have someone work on it for me and they would call me back and let me know what was going on with the car also give me a price of what it would cost me to fix it. So they call me the next day a guy named Jay also very professional he told me that I needed a new starter also I needed all my spark plugs done and something was wrong with one of my hoses. So I told them to go ahead and fix it he said that he would have everything done for me by the end of the close of business he told me it will cost me less than $400 to get everything done which was great. And I would have a warranty for my starter if anything went wrong I could just bring it back and they would fix it. Every other Shop wanted to charge me five to eight hundred dollars to fix everything that was wrong with my car. Well Auto tech fix everything on my car they also had it ready by the end of the day. I was very happy because I paid less than $400 to get all that stuff done. I would have to say they are the best very nice very professional and they had excellent customer service. I've had a few other problems with my car since then and every time I went back to the shop they take care of me like the very first time. So I would say if you're looking for a great shop to get your car fixed Auto Tech is the place to go because they really take care of your car and they're not out just to get your money and they're super awesome!!! Thank you Auto Tech!!!! read more

I cannot express enough my gratitude to the great guys at Auto Tek.. On my way to Tahoe with an SUV full of grandkids the protective casing surrounding my wheel well broke loose making the car inoperable. Do Not Trust the staff, "mechanics" at this shop! I went to auto tek with a Diagnostic in Hand from a reputable auto repair company(wheel works) when auto tek attempted to introduce More repairs needed for my car, attempting to PAD my bill to get more money. I needed only a simple Wire Reapair but the CON game was on to get more $$. After I refused to be a part of their SCAM they charged me $100.00 for diagnostic I already had in my hand from a previous shop that could not do the wire work. They are the Worst. Sleazy business practices is NOT away to gain and Keep customers. I clicked one star Only because Yelp required something. read more

I have to say, Auto Tek is one of the most honest Auto Repair shops around. I don't remember the managers name, but she was awesome. I dropped my car off and she kept me in the loop via phone thru out the whole process. When they did a full diagnostic, the mechanics discovered my car had a piece that was cracked and needed to be replaced. Which probably would have costed me over a grand. Instead Jay (mechanic/boss) called around to see if I had a warranty and turned out I did. So Jay told me to take it to the dealership with warranty and instead of paying an arm and a leg. Everything is free... Auto Tek could've fixed it without hesitation and charged me over $1,000 but instead he was honest and lined me up. And not many mechanics/Auto shops would do that. I definitely will continue to go to AUTO TEK 1st, before anyone else!!! 5 stars definitely read more

Great service and people. I have been visiting Auto Tek for more than 5 years with 4 different cars: Audi, Ford truck, HHR, and BMW SUV. The service has always been A-1. As a woman it is very awesome to say that I have received service that I trusted and never feel like I'm being taken advantage of. I have referred friends to Auto Tek and will keep doing so, because I know they will receive the best service. Thanks Auto Tek, and Jay, for always taking care of my car needs, so I never worry. read more

I called around to find a quote to repair my air conditioning compressor that wasn't as much as the dealer for my Honda. Auto Tek's quote was amount $400 less. In hindsight, i should have gone to the Honda dealer since this was the third replacement they have done in less than 8 months. The last time I took it back to them for this same problem they kept my car for two days trying to figure out why the compressor kept seizing up. When they called to say that my car wouldn't be ready at the end of the first day, I reminded them I had a toddler in daycare and I was in Concord, Not some much as a "hey, let me pay for a rental" for all this inconvenience. On the afternoon of the second day, Scott called to say that they need to install a kit to fill the gap so it fit properly. I appreciated the honesty but it just made me realize this shop is clueless and incompetent in addition to wasting my time. The first time I realized the air compressor stopped working , the mechanic told me it was because there was too much freon - really! Women have come a long way - so far in fact that stupid comments like that just piss us off - as if I can't tell that my air conditioning isn't working in the middle of July! The second time i was in to have it replaced, i asked for an oil change, which they forgot (hindsight, this was probably a blessing) This last time, I asked them to check the brakes. I was told that the front rotors and pads needed replacing and the Serpentine belt was loose. Seeing that history has shown me these people may very well know zero about cars. I took it to another mechanic who told me that serpentine belts don't go lose, they crack or get worn but that it does run the air compressor so perhaps they installed the wrong part and that it could be it could be lose. The belt was fine and I was told me that the front brakes have 80% wear left. If Auto Tek had actually checked my brakes, they would have noticed my tires were wearing badly on the inside. In a nutshell, this place seems to have no problem screwing a customer over with trumped up estimates after they waste their time installing faulty or incorrect parts on their car, not performing work that is asked and not considering how much their customer is inconvenienced while they contact their tech support to learn how to fix automobiles. Do yourself a favor, don't use this place.... especially if you are a female. Really ticked off customer read more

I recently brought my car in for a smog check for my registration renewal. Well there were some problems (Check engine light on) because it didn't pass smog. I then had a diagnostic run revealing what the issue may be. I brought my car back the following weekend to have the recommended work performed. Well, there was a huge miscommunication by an employee and the work on my car was NEVER done. Needless to say I WAS VERY VERY UNHAPPY! I contacted Jay and explained the situation to him (he was completely unaware of the situation). Jay immediately went into full damage control and corrected the situation. The cost of the diagnostic was applied to the work I had done - great! All repairs to my car were performed and it has now passed smog!! I am satisfied with the work performed and especially the service I received. I highly recommend them - they are fair and good at what they do. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I will be going back in a few weeks for some additional work that needs to be done on my car. Its nice to have a neighborhood mechanic that you can trust. read more

As a mechanic I am weary to take my car into the shop because I can get raked over the coals. The problem is that I don't have a shop of my own to work from and some jobs can't be done in my driveway. I feel now after they kept my cost WAYYYY down and even helped me with some of the sensors I didn't know my Jetta had (i.e. window regulator sensor), that I would take my car back to them anytime I need a mechanic. I try not to need one because I was a diesel mechanic in the Army for 11 years but we don't have all the sensors in our vehicles that these cars now days do...I would HIGHLY recommend this shop...even after I was a little impatient on the phone they were very respectful and didn't change their service towards me at all. Thanks guys. Hopefully I (don't have to) see you again.. read more

I was referred to this place by a friend. We mostly have older vehicles and the smog places I used to go to either didn't have the proper machines to read our cars correctly for the test or they simply didn't want to bother with our cars anymore. We brought our 1976 RV here and they were able to accommodate us! And my rig luckily passed smog with flying colors. The bonus? The staff here - ALL OF THEM - are incredibly nice and give you straight forward information regarding what's needed to get your vehicle back in proper working order before proceeding. Whether you are able to afford the repairs - that's another story. But the point is, they are very good at communicating what you need to get your vehicle back on track. I respect any business that knows how to communicate well with their customers. After that first experience, I decided to bring one of our other cars in for a smog. Once again, EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE all around. Having/Maintaining older cars is a choice. We know what we chose to deal with. Having said that, a catalytic converter is never a cheap fix when it is what's needed to pass a smog test - that's just a fact anywhere you go in California. Our car needed it and we had them take care of the install. Once the repairs were done, we noticed a significant exhaust leak noise - which we initially thought came from the welds at the new catalytic converter. They immediately took the car back to examine further - with every intent to correct the problem. Once the car was up on the rack, they kindly asked if I would examine what they've discovered: a few small cracks at the resonator. The exhaust leak did not come from their welds during their cat-converter install. Those welds were done perfectly. They were kind enough to show me exactly where the exhaust leak was actually coming from. The resonator can be mistaken for the catalytic converter. And unless you had a car lift at home, one would easily assume the exhaust leak sounds were coming from the general area of where the last repair was made. I have high respects for time and labor any proper mechanic puts into a vehicle. And I agreed to pay the labor charge for what they've done so far and to tack weld the cracks discovered. But after discussing among themselves, they were so gracious to forego any charges after doing a quick tack weld to seal the two small cracks at the resonator. Folks, in this day and age I can't tell you how good it felt to have these folks present that type of graciousness. Did I forget to mention, each time I was here I've had my 2 year old son in tow? Not an easy visit for me with my toddler around. These guys just made this new dad a very loyal customer. I highly recommend this place. They know their stuff. And they have the right approach with creating long-lasting business with their customers. If YELP could present a 10-star rating, they'd get a 12 from me. Thanks, Autotek Crew! You are all greatly appreciated! read more
