I was already pre-qualified for a loan, and I had done all the research and decided on the vehicle I wanted - a Nissan Juke S - so it just came down to finding the best deal on the "newest" used car, in a price range I could afford. After using several online car search websites, I found the exact car I wanted (even the color), at Auto Merchants, at the best price I could find on ANY late model Juke in the DFW Metroplex, and it was only a year old (2016), and still under warranty! Even better, as it turned out, Auto Merchants was less than five miles from where I live. I got all the information I needed on that particular vehicle from AM's great website, including a lot of pictures, and a free Carfax report. It just came down to a test drive, and even though I didn't call ahead, Ara Sharbaf and the guys at AM were quick and cooperative when I showed up, and brought the car around in no time. The Juke pretty much sold itself, so I sat down to talk with Ara, and then, after working out a few details about the down payment, they gave me what I considered a fair offer on my trade-in, a well worn 1994 Chevy Astro, and that was that. I needed a couple of days to get the finances together, so I put down a deposit to hold the vehicle on a Wednesday, and then I picked it up that Friday, as planned, no problems. If I had to describe my experience with Auto Merchants in one word, it would be "painless." Their excellent asking price eliminated the need for any negotiations, which was great. Ara was polite, professional, knowledgeable, and friendly, without being "TOO" friendly, if you know what I mean. Our communication was very good, he answered all my questions, and I didn't waste too much time just sitting around the dealership. By the time I signed all the papers, the car was ready to go, and Ara even put some gas in it himself. If you have a good idea what you want, and if they've got it at Auto Merchants, they'll get you in and out of there just as quickly as you want to go, with no pressure, or any attempts to upsell you. An easy transaction at a great price. What more could you ask for? read more

Auto Merchants - I got "Juked" at Auto Merchants, and I couldn't be happier! - Used Car Dealers Near Me - Plano, Texas

Typical used car lot mentality. The salesman, Christian, was a complete idiot. After having dealt with terrible customer service, I was lied to after being told the reason I waited an hour for my car was because they were detailing it and needing it to pass state inspection. The car was barely even vacuumed and a month later I received a call asking me to bring it back so they could do the state inspection. I was then told by the lady that she had instructed Christian to call me 3 weeks prior which he never did. Beware of poor customer service and 0 follow up after the fact. Had I not been looking for this specific vehicle with the features I wanted I would have purchased elsewhere. read more

This was nothing like my car buying experiences of the past! I knew when I saw the listing on the Consumer Reports website that their Prius wasn't like their competitors. It was expertly curated and perfectly priced! This car was almost 10 years old yet looked new, was ready for another 10 years of faithful service, and conscionably budgetable! I was skillfully and patiently guided through the buying process, including using my online veteran's credit union financing by Omar Alajami who got me in my car, complete with a newly installed Toyota factory battery pack, guaranteed for the next 100,000 miles! I would tell everyone to check Auto Merchants first, and ask for Omar! read more

BEWARE...I recently purchased a 2018 Suburban from this dealer ship approximately 3-4 months ago for 40k. I attempted to sell the vehicle to 2 other dealerships and was told that the car fax was horrible and that the would not sell vehicles with these type of car fax. The auto merchants sales rep told me the vehicle was a buy back because of a leasing issue. The other dealerships I went to said differently. I attempted to solve the situation through auto merchants and was told they would buy the car back for 28k or do a trade in for 30k. I requested that they buy it back for 35k ( I think that's reasonable). I feel like I have been ripped off. Im now in the process of contacting an attorney to see what can be done. Make sure you research any car bought from this dealership and do not take what you are told from reps at face value. read more

I experienced a 'shifty' deal with this company. BEWARE! UNETHICAL! BREACH of ARRANGEMENT. I agreed to a sale of a vehicle earlier this week at a lower price and was awaiting for the PO for my banker to transfer funds, as agreed and arranged. Then this crook, Ron "BOZO" Bozorgpor, sends me an email later in the day stating someone else came in and left a deposit to finance through their company. Albeit at the higher price and they are making more money on the finance agreement. These BOZO'S are dishonest, dishonorable, and quite frankly CROOKS. read more

Called to inquire about a car listed on the website and set an appointment to test drive the vehicle. The sales rep on the phone seemed rather disinterested to begin with. Showed up at the time I stated, and was greeted by the receptionist, who verified the car was there and notified the sales rep. She was polite, patient and professional, honestly the best part of the experience. Sales rep was actively avoiding starting the conversation with me for nearly 20 minutes, but did have a porter bring up the car eventually. When he was finally ready, he walked me outside, handed me the keys and said "we can't really verify the mileage on this car, but you can take it out for a drive if you want", and then walked back inside. After walking around the vehicle, it was clear that it had either been stolen, or at least attempted stolen and no repairs had been made. Crow bar dents on all 4 doors above the windows, significant damage to the bumper, and non matching tires. When I went back in to tell him I wasn't interested, his body language indicated that he probably knew all of this about the vehicle when I called, but failed to disclose any of it, and wasted a fair amount of my time. read more

!!!!!UPDATE!!!!!! So as for my last review I've been back and forth with the dealer, they were able to get me out of the car with the issues and put me in a nicer car and the car I actually wanted..... Poor customer service, and let's not talk about there car. PLEASE IF YOUR GOING TO Buy A CAR HERE FOR WHAT EVER ODD REASON PAY TO GET THE CAR LOOKED AT SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!!! Bought a car here and in less then a week and a half all the lights started to come on, brake pad lights, oil change light, a/c wasn't working any more, brought it in to complain and said it's none of there problems, till I called my bank and then they decided to fix the issues brought it in and it sat there for three days and they didn't do a thing to it when they said they did... please do not buy a car here ! read more

Terrible customer service. Was interested in purchasing a vehicle with them, and no one seemed the least bit interested in helping with this process. The finance person, Conrad I believe was his name, I spoke with on two separate occasions was EXTREMELY rude on both occasions. He seemed very hateful and not at all happy to help. I really wanted this vehicle, but after speaking with him I quickly changed my mind. read more

The car buying experience from the beginning my car salesman Christian was very unprofessional and nonchalant had no customer service training at all whatsoever was a little arrogant didn't even do the correct paperwork for the financing part. Tommy the person Handling my paperwork had to get onto him so it was a bad experience from the very beginning though the car buying part was not as tough you are on your own after that there was a lot of things that they missed and things that weren't done as far as all the steps to buying the car I had they had to call me back several times. I got it on a Friday afternoon and they were closing and when I was getting my stuff from the car that I traded in he didn't even wait for me to finish he just left. the new manager Andy was very nice and professional and tried to fix the problem however I had an oil change and didn't get a receipt when I called them back to ask if I could get some information so that I know when to change my oil again Christian my car salesman was very rude was making excuses for his poor performance and then hung up on me will not buy from here again. Thank you again ANDY for your professionalism. read more

100% recommend!! I had to go through multiple dealerships to find somewhere like this. They had an outstanding faculty, attentive professionals who help, and meets your requirements on client care. There are no documentation hidden cost ($799 or $1299) like a lot dealership have ,good service and most of thier cars come with factory warranty. So many cars to choose from with amazing deals and specials! They take the time to understand what your needs are, and what best fits for you. Most dealerships tend to just sell you a car to make the commission, but I believe at auto merchants they really do want the best for their clients! read more

We had a great experience with Auto Merchants in Plano while purchasing a vehicle for our daughter. Our sales associate was Amir Z., who went above and beyond to ensure everything went smoothly. Absolutely zero high-pressure sales tactics were used, they addressed all of our concerns, and provided a clean CarFax report. Since we were driving in from out of town, we requested to have the vehicle inspected by an independent mechanic. Auto Merchants was super accommodating and helped coordinate the off-site inspection before we arrived. We went over the report directly with the mechanic and used the report to address our post-inspection concerns with Amir. Auto Merchants went above and beyond throughout the entire process. Amir Z. ensured that every detail was handled from start to finish, including shipping the vehicle to us since we drove in from out of town and didn't want to drive back a second time. read more

I'm a 71 year old Vietnam veteran on a fixed income. Auto Merchants Dealership took advantage of me, they sold me a car with low mileage, but I had only driven it less than 50 miles before the engine light came on, oil leaking all over my garage and driveway, and I have to jump start it to start it. I'll need to pay a mechanic now, out of pocket for the repairs because after numerous calls I was given the run around until I realized Auto Merchants Dealership of Plano ripped me off. This business is of low classed, the kind of car dealerships you see on the side of the road that advertise "no or bad credit welcomed". I should have seen the red flags as I was leaving there were 3 buyers that were arguing about the cars and the service. The salesman Omar kept me waiting in the office for close to 2 hours while dealing with an irate customer and the sales manager, Manny, never responded to me after the 1st phone call. Ok so I go in to look at their 2016 Ford Fusion Energi that they have for sale and bring my truck up there to trade it in. They look at my truck and price it at 31000 when KBB has it between 37800 and 40500 and I told the sales guy Omar that it wasnt right and that's insulting to me. So I leave a review and out of nowhere they call me after I leave my bad review and say they're sorry and the 2 guys that appraise vehicles werent there and all that but they did not care to make a deal with me or try because I wanted to still try but they only cared about me leaving my first 1 star review and asked if I could take It off and i agreed at first before they decided to not even try to make a deal with me. read more

Let's start with the deal made while buying the car Which was we would buy it for asking price as Long as the wheels were blacked out for free was not held up in the end but asked for half of the price soon as we were picking it up let's go into the fact that while taking it to get the wheels done I broke down with a dead battery. After waiting 45 mins after calling the dealership which was only . 03 Miles away I was told the battery would be replaced. When I went to pick it up 3 days later which was an extra day from the call I received I drove out to get it only to be told when I picked it up that the battery which they said they would replace was now dead because they chose not to replace it. I now have to wait 45 mins for them to go get a new battery and finally replace it. They sell salvaged title vehicles. If you ask if it's salvaged they tell you it's not. They give you no car fax like other dealers will. Went to trade in my Range Rover from here and was only offered 6,000 because reputable dealerships will not sell salvaged vehicles ( the value of my car if it had a clean title would have put me around 20,000). The car I purchased had engine mounts that had completely deteriorated. Also, the transmission was caked in grime, indicating a leak. If the dealership had put this car on a rack, a mechanic would have seen this within ten seconds. I was also told that the transmission was under warranty; this turned out to be untrue. Only one tiny part was under warranty. Conclusion: They don't bother putting their inventory in good condition. In their favor, the sales process was smooth and the salesman, upon learning of my situation, got me the engine mount parts (about $250). However, I still had to have over $600 of repairs done, not to mention LOTS of my time and no small amount of anxiety over whether I'd bought a lemon. read more

Auto merchants are in the used car market of vehicles that may have blemished title due to the invoked lemon laws and are resold below market price. For the most part, cars have past issues that have been properly addressed. Moving forward it's safe to say that the vehicle has been brought up to all standards. They are pretty good about disclosing the problems that the vehicle may have had and was repaired. I purchased a Mercedes Benz A class, 220. I am pleased with my purchase. The vehicle still had a residual warranty of 3.5 years. It was sent to the Mercedes Benz dealership to have minor issues repaired prior to delivery. The vehicle was also detailed including window tinting at my request. Overall experience was good. There were some minor issues that netted the dealership four rather than five stars. read more

We looked at 2 Lexas GS350 here. One had been repaired for front end damage the other was clean and a great ride and the price was in the ballpark of others. Andy the salesman was helpful and a nice kid to work with. The problem is the manager Hector. We had a pickup truck to trade in. He offered us $1500.00 and said it was because the truck had alot of hail damage. I told him it wasn't hail damage and he decided to argue with me. The truck is from Georgia and has GA plates on it. It does not hail in Georgia. We walked out and bought nextdoor I would suggest not stopping here. read more

Completely shady. TL:DR - was sold a car that had reported structure damage however did not show up on CarFax website nor the printed copy they handed me when considering purchasing the car. April 2018 purchase a vehicle through this dealer after traveling to many other dealerships which were already 60+ miles away. After given the typical car dealer bs of price and payment haggling, I purchased the vehicle thinking we landed an awesome deal (2015 VW Golf SEL, very low miles and looked/drove amazingly). Fast forward to a year later when attempting to trade the vehicle in towards another purchase only to find out the vehicle had reported 'Structural Damage' which did not show on CarFax, but Auto Check (which I've never heard of prior to a CarMax inspection). Due to this 'damage', the value of the car was cut down by almost $3,000 compared to KBB's Instant Cash offer or trade in value. Shame on me for not knowing better right? Even better, no crashes or other damages were reported. Do yourself a favor, check the BBB reports as well and see that this is not the only instance of this happening. Stay away a from them. read more

Walked in, approached the receptionist and told her about the car we were interested in. She was nice and prompt with getting us a test drive. Sadly after the test drive everything went down hill. I was told by what Im assuming was a car sales man to apply on any available computer, we looked and found one on our own as he seemed to be in a rush to do something else. Didnt see him again. We are called in to the finance office just by first name no proper greeting no other form of conversation, we follow him into the office and we sit very awkwardly quiet until he says "No we wont be able to finance you for that car." My husband and I sit in silence wondering if he'll offer us another option or is this it, thats all he said until he turns and looks at us like we're crazy and I thank him and leave. I have read several reviews and I do have to agree that their are not the most cozy inviting dealership out there. They don't roll out the red carpet or rush you the minute you get there trying to sell you a car but they also are not in the least bit pushy. It would be nice to have more of a blend of interest in the customer while keeping their laid back aura about them. We got a lot more for our trade in than we had anticipated so we were very happy about that. We also found a car we liked for a price we loved and the overall process was very easy. We are overall very happy with our experience. read more

Just bought a truck for my son's first vehicle. I worked with Daniel Cho and had a great experience. The truck has some cosmetic damage, so Daniel helped negotiate $$ off the original price. Daniel even recommended and helped coordinate a pre-purchase inspection at a local Ford dealership. Pros: Fairly good selection of vehicles and seems like fair prices. Daniel was great to work with... Cons: The showroom was covered with animal hair. I asked and was told that one of the salesman brings his dog to work. I'm cool with that but somebody grab a broom every now and then. I even saw one of the salesman with his head down on his desk taking a nap! Wake him up and hand him a broom! Also, their website Finance page boast that it's secure and encrypted, but if you look at the URL it's not. It's the regular http, not https. I had another outstanding experience today with Auto Merchants. Arra, Sid and Mo went above and beyond expectation to help me out in a situation they arguably had little obligation to resolve. I personally already enjoyed my first buying experience with them and always look at their inventory first when I'm looking for a new car, but today they proved the after-sales experience is as important to them as it is to the customers. I'll continue to trust them with my business, and would recommend them to anyone looking for a car. Simple, straightforward buying process. Really fair pricing, good trade value offering. And now, I know from experience that they'll take care of me after I buy a car from them. What else is there? read more

Trying to justify your poorly ran dealership is NOT very becoming - people read yelp reviews ... too bad for you.

To top it off, it was delivered 1,200 miles within 24 hours and was exactly how it was advertised and disclosed during our discussions I would highly recommend Auto Merchants and will not hesitate to call them in the future ! read more

***BEWARE*** Purchased a 2009 GMC Acadia, VIN 1GKER13D29J119972. Had issues with the transmission before ever leaving the lot (put in drive, stepped on gas, car went in reverse... tried multiple times, shifting in and out of drive...then engine light came on and car died). Was assured by salesman Ray that it was just a fluke and to let him know if I had anymore issues. As I was loading my child into the car, I tested the windows and found that the passenger side window would not roll down and the driver's side back window would not roll back up once rolled down. They were closed, but I was able to locate a couple straggler employees that helped me get the window back up and advised me to call on Monday because the window switch needed to be replaced (they seemed to know the problem existed). On the 30 minute trip home, the transmission started slipping HORRIBLY, entire vehicle started shaking, and TPM system light came on. Called and spoke with manager Mo about the issue, who was very apologetic and told me to bring the car back up there to discuss the issues with him and seemed as though he wanted to try to salvage the sale. When i arrived and asked for Mo, I was referred to the finance guy who simply brought me my down payment check and told me to have a good day. Ray came out and asked about the vehicle, and i told him the transmission was shot... He didn't seem surprised and asked me if i wanted to look at anything else. HEEEEEELLLLLLLL NO! Now I see that the vehicle is relisted on their website for $1400 more than I bought it for... So obviously they knew about the issues prior to selling it to me, hence the lower price. Supposedly, they fixed motor mounts, struts, and window switch, but they deny any issues with the transmission. Trust me when I say the transmission is SHOT! Slipped shifting into every gear, RPMs should NOT go into the 7k+ range before shifting. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS PLACE! read more

Went to see a car yesterday and their customer service was awful. The receptionist didn't even acknowledge we were there. Carlos was your stereotypical used car salesman. He had no personality, borderline arrogant and acted like he would rather be doing something else. It took him 20 minutes to see me, he texted on his phone while I was sitting in front of him and lied about the Carfax. What poor salesmanship. I was ready to pay cash for the car that I test drove, but his demeanor just turned my stomach to the point that I'd rather throw my money out the window rather than give it to him for a commission. I think it's important to share my review just to help people avoid the same mistake verse trying to make someone look bad. I don't think AM tries to sell bad vehicles but the way they just grab them from the auctions, expedite the pictures to their website, and the service team half-ass check them can lead to my experience. I bought my daughter a Nissan Sentra (2016, 86k miles). The vehicle had a good appearance, premium package, and the price was ok, not great but ok ($12,500 about $15k out the door). Omar the sales person was good, patient, not pushy, even offer for me to take the vehicle for a few days to get it checked out on my own mechanic. Unfortunately, I didn't have the time and was only able to ask certain questions. I was also assured that their service team checked everything out and the car was good to go. As I was driving the car home, I notice what I thought was a dirty smear on the windshield in the shape of how the wiper swipe. When it didn't clear after I sprayed it, I immediately reach out to Omar and he asked for pictures. I parked the car and took the pics, after going to his manager I was told they were aware of the scratches, which is what it turned out to be, and that I will have to contribute $100 for a new windshield and they will cover the rest (didn't have the car for more than 5 mins and was bout a mile away and already out of $100). The next issue was 3 days later the brakes start making the metal-on-metal noise on the car. I asked Omar were the brakes were ever checked by his team, he assured me they were, I took it to Caliber Auto Care who informed me the breaks were bad, so bad that they recommended that I tow the car verse driving it back to AM. I called Omar, he spoke to his manager and they fixed the brakes for free. Thinking everything is good to go my daughter takes the car and off to college she goes and after driving it for a month and a half the transmission goes out and the rear shocks and struts were bad. Had to drop $4,800 for a new transmission and repairs, so I'm now $20k into this car. Could have bought her a new car with a warranty at this point. Anyhoo that my experience, again I don't think they are a bad dealership, I just don't think they are checking the vehicles out fully. If you are buying a vehicle from them take the time to have your mechanic inspect it. read more
