My dad and I went in last week to look at a specific car and within seconds we were greeted by a smiling manager and not too long after that, Alex! We showed them the car and before I knew it I was sitting in it ready to test drive. Once we got back my dad thought we should look at more while I was ready to pull The trigger. We told them we'd be back and they didn't sit there begging and pleading for us to stay. That right there might have sold me! They let us on our way, but I think knew we would be back! No one likes a dealership that begs and pleads for you to not leave and annoys you to no end! This place just knows their confidence. And sure enough, after a quick lunch down the street, after talking my dad into it, we went back within the hour and were ready for purchase! Alex made this whole experience quick, painless and easy! We were there MAYBE 3 hours, but there was some mix up with some spelling on our last few papers, that again, was so quick and easy with the young man in the finance department (I'm sorry I forgot his name). I would definitely recommend buying a car from this place! I will say I thought id be leaving with a full tank of gas, and the car wash/detail was ok but there were a few things I noticed that maybe we're just some forgotten things. But that still wouldn't be a reason to not buy the car! read more

I am writing this review to warn others about the unprofessional "bait-and-switch" tactics at this dealership. I had been in contact with a representative named Alonte regarding the sale of my car. On the day of my appointment, I spoke with Alonte 30 minutes before arriving to confirm everything. I was on my way from Denton to Plano, and at no point was I told there was an issue with the offer. When I arrived, I was blindsided by an $1,100 price reduction. When I asked why I wasn't notified, they admitted that Alonte simply forgot to call me. I then spoke with the manager, Israel, who was incredibly rude, condescending, and dismissive. Instead of apologizing for the inconvenience and the wasted trip, Israel displayed zero accountability. When I expressed my frustration, he actually tried to argue with me and accused me of lying about the original offer. He made it clear that he did not care about my business or the fact that they had wasted my time. He literally shrugged off my concerns and told me I could "just sell it somewhere else." If you value your time and want to work with a business that operates with honesty and basic customer respect, go elsewhere. This dealership does not honor their word, and their management team is completely unprofessional. read more

Go to this place for your next vehicle! Alex got me into the SUV I wanted at a price I could afford! It was hassle free, no hidden fees, no hard sell. Just professional, competent friendly people who know what they're doing. Reggie was awesome at helping me finalize the paperwork of the purchase and Alex was the star of the show! I only do a review if something really goes wrong or something really goes right and I highly recommend AutoNation in Plano, especially if you ask for Alex! read more

I live in Fort Worth, looked online and saw the exact car I wanted at autonation in Plano. I decided to uber there and test drive it to most likely buy it today. I called ahead to make sure the car was still there and they said yeah it is here come on down at 3. I pay for a 50$ uber and 50 minutes later arrive at the autonation. When I meet the salesman he says oh no sorry the car was sold last night. Sometimes our system takes a couple days to update... now here I am stuck in Plano having to pay for another long uber because of their incompetence. read more

I went to AutoNation Plano prepared to buy a car and expecting a straightforward, fair negotiation. That's not how it played out. The vehicle in question was a 10-year-old Lexus ES 350 with around 70k miles. I had financing ready and paid for a professional pre-purchase inspection (PPI) on 1/5/2026, so there would be no guessing on either side. During the inspection, my mechanic found a knocking sound during slow acceleration. I immediately brought this to the dealership's attention. To be fair, the dealership did verify the issue and fixed it, which turned out to be loose screws that weren't fully tightened. What bothered me wasn't the fix it was that the repair was never reflected in the negotiation or pricing. The issue was only caught because I paid for an independent inspection. Without that, the next buyer would likely have taken delivery with the problem still unresolved. I worked mainly with Willis and Ismael. They were present throughout the process, but the negotiation itself felt rigid and one-sided. I spent nearly three hours at the dealership, fully expecting to complete a deal. We never did. I was repeatedly told that the numbers I was asking for were "unrealistic," that "they don't drop prices," and that "someone else will buy the car." At one point, I was told the dealership bought the Lexus for around $16,000, which may or may not be accurate, but it was used to shut down reasonable, inspection-backed discussion. For clarity: Advertised price: $19,991 Price after fees: nearly $23,000 Lowest number reached: $21,369 Even at that level, the numbers didn't make sense given the age of the vehicle, the inspection findings, and the amount of added fees. I was also significantly lowballed on my trade-in, a 2022 Mazda CX-30 with only 34k miles. On top of that, I was told several fees tied to the trade were fixed and non-removable: Two $750 dealership fees (only one could be removed) $695 inspection/detail fee $500 paint fee I respect the Lexus brand, but I value fairness and transparency more. A deal shouldn't rely on pressure tactics or the idea that "everyone gets the same bad deal." I'm sharing this so others go in informed. Do your research, get an independent inspection, and don't be afraid to walk away if the numbers don't add up mentally or financially. Sometimes walking away is the right decision. read more

The inventory at the store is good and the people working there are great. Good place to buy a Pre-owned vehicle

My honest experience with AutoNation Plano: From the beginning to now, it has been a complete roller coaster. I went from feeling like a valued customer to feeling completely dismissed. This is my personal experience, but I believe in accountability. I purchased a 2018 F150 Platinum from this location in June 2025. My initial interaction with Josh was disappointing, but Luis, the general manager, worked hard to make the deal happen and gave me a solid value on my trade-in. At that point, I genuinely felt taken care of. But immediately after taking the truck home, problems surfaced that their inspection clearly missed. Both the oil pan and rear differential were leaking. I returned under the 90-day warranty. The differential was fixed, but the oil pan leak continued and got worse. Every time I tried to bring it back, I was told: "Service is slammed. We have over 100 vehicles ahead of you. Try again next week." This went on for weeks. Then the title and registration issues began. For 3 months, I never received my plates. Every time I asked, I heard: "These things take time. We'll call you back." No one ever called back. Eventually I contacted the DMV myself and discovered the vehicle wasn't even titled or registered in my name -- it had been transferred to the previous owner months after I bought it. Only after the State, my lender, and corporate got involved did AutoNation finally fix the issue. 3,000 miles after purchase, the transmission failed completely. I had the truck towed to AutoNation Plano, confident the Gold Warranty would help. Instead, I've been left completely in the dark. A full week with no updates, no diagnosis, no call back, and no help with a loaner or rental. Every attempt to reach someone has gone nowhere. I've been without a vehicle for days while still obligated on a $32,000+ loan -- and have felt stranded and ignored by the entire service department. In my experience, this dealership is not transparent, does not communicate, and does not stand behind their customers once the sale is complete. We are now looking into our legal options, and I sincerely hope nobody else goes through what we did. read more

Would never consider dealing with them again. We have purchased numerous vehicles and have never had a more unprofessional and dishonest experience. Read every line and NEVER trust anything verbally committed to by the financing people. They rushed with electronic signatures that didn't match the verbal agreements made. This was unnoticed by us- very small electronic print and quick process. Our ignorance trusting the rep and for not reading it carefully. Didn't even receive electronic copy to review for 2 weeks. When reviewed we noticed it was completely different than what was verbalized. Now going through weeks of tedious processes to cancel numerous add ons (over $14,000) and will have to refinance correctly. read more

PLEASE READ THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS FOR THIS COMPANY BEFORE YOU BUY. THEY REFLECT REAL CUSTOMER EXPERIENCES. THEY ARE CONSISTENT WITH MY OWN EXPERIENCE. IF YOU THINK "IT WON'T HAPPEN TO ME," I THOUGHT THE SAME THING. DO NOT TAKE THE POSITIVE REVIEWS AT FACE VALUE WITHOUT ALSO READING THE BAD ONES -- ESPECIALLY THE DETAILED ONES. ALSO READ THE BBB COMPLAINTS. THEY DOCUMENT PATTERNS, NOT ONE-OFF ISSUES. See hyperlink below DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR $749 ADD-ONS. THESE ARE OPTIONAL, HIGH-PRESSURE SALES ITEMS DESIGNED TO INCREASE PROFIT AND ARE NOT REQUIRED TO BUY A VEHICLE. BUYERS SHOULD PROCEED WITH CAUTION. FOLLOW YOUR GUT WITH THIS PLACE. IF IT DOESN'T FEEL RIGHT, WALK AWAY -- FAST. I WISH I HAD. READ THROUGH THE REAL REVIEWS. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. Extremely disappointing and exhausting experience. The XC90 I inquired about was advertised at $21,593. When I asked for a written breakdown, I was quoted $22,424 before tax, TTL, or any add-ons -- an unexplained $831 increase in the base price. When I asked why the advertised price changed, I was told it "automatically changed," but no one could provide documentation or a clear explanation. Texas OCCC advertising guidelines require the advertised price to be the actual selling price unless clearly disclosed otherwise, which was not done here. I was also told I had to purchase a $749 appearance package I did not want. While it was disclosed, I was told directly that the vehicle would not be sold to me unless I agreed to pay for it -- meaning the add-on was not optional. I requested multiple times that the vehicle be taken to a Volvo dealership for inspection, which was initially agreed upon by AutoNation. However, when I pressed to move forward, I was told to "hire someone" to take it to Volvo. To make matters worse, I hired AAA to tow the vehicle to Volvo, only to have AAA chased away when they arrived to tow the vehicle, despite the prior agreement to take it to Volvo. I explicitly stated multiple times that I believed there was an issue with the battery and asked for it to be checked. Despite this, the yellow warning light that was clearly visible was never mentioned by their team. Furthermore, a General Manager at AutoNation Plano told me there was no yellow light illuminated, which directly contradicts the diagnostic report from Volvo, showing that the light had been on repeatedly. On December 22, at approximately 4:30 PM, I spoke with a sales manager after discussing the matter with AutoNation USA Plano management for approximately 30 minutes. The sales manager went to the back to speak with management for an additional 30 minutes. When he returned, he told me there was "nothing wrong with the car," that it met AutoNation's standards, and that the matter was "case closed." I was told to "sign the paperwork or we have nothing left to talk about." When I demanded my money back, I was told I would receive it in one to two weeks and specifically, "you will not get it today." Due to the escalation, I contacted the police to be available if needed. I was tipped off by another member of management from a different AutoNation location who inadvertently warned me that there was something wrong with the battery. When I asked if I could purchase the car from him and his location instead, he refused. Now I know why -- he was aware of the issue, but it was never disclosed upfront to me. Instead, the issue was never even brought up when I specifically stated that I knew there was something wrong with the battery. I assumed it was the hybrid battery and mentioned that multiple times. Furthermore, the General Manager at AutoNation Plano stated that there was no yellow light illuminated on the car, despite me clearly pointing out that there was an issue with the battery. This directly contradicts the diagnostic report from Volvo, which showed that a yellow warning light had been present repeatedly, yet it was never mentioned to me. On top of that, another General Manager from a different AutoNation location was also aware of the issue. This means that two different General Managers dismissed this issue -- one at AutoNation Plano and one from a separate location. I was told on numerous occasions that the vehicle could be dropped off at Volvo for inspection. However, I had to press hard to get this done, and even then, I was told to "hire someone" to take it to Volvo, which I did. AAA was chased away when they arrived to tow the vehicle, despite the prior agreement to take it to Volvo. read more

RUN!!!!!! DON'T WALK FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!!!! Purchased a used vehicle for my daughter Sept 2025 that salesmen claimed was a great vehicle no issues whatsoever. Daughter broke down on highway Christmas Eve in middle of nowhere all lights on dash coming on. Turned out there was a hole in transmission that seemed to be patched, cv axle boot torn, cracked ball joints to name a few. ABSOLUTE JOKE OF A DEALERSHIP!!!! NOT SURE HOW THESE FOLKS SLEEP AT NIGHT. After reading some other reviews, we were given the same sales tactic about how someone else would buy the car if we didn't and they can't come down on price blah blah blah. They were fully aware of the issues the car had. It took them a solid week to get the car ready and now we know why. They were attempting to patch hole in transmission and who knows what else. Working with this place has been a horribly stressful exchange. The sales rep kept flip flopping and giving me mixed up information and then the finance department was just as bad. I simply wanted to buy a vehicle. I was approved for financing by multiple lenders. But these folks can't get my numbers right. The sales rep says one thing and then finance says another. They're real quick to text you you're approved, but when you try to get a clear picture of the deal it goes bad. The sales rep told to me per the text is $253/ month for 3 years. DO NOT BUY HERE! If I could give a negative star rating I would because this was the worst car buying experience of my life! Sales person misrepresented that the van would be detailed. In fact, it was filthy on delivery! Sales person misrepresented that oil would be changed prior to delivery. It wasn't! But here's the scary part: They use a contract delivery service. These people backed the van into a grass embankment and damaged the rear bumper. The dealer sales manager tried to weasel out of accepting resposibility for the damage. It took two weeks to get fixed. The communication is terrible. They don't answer calls and they don't call you back. Avoid this dealer unless you like nightmares! read more

Don't walk.... RUN as fast as you can from Autonation Plano. Everything that comes out of their mouths is a lie. No organization at all! We had 3 different salesmen trying to help us and no one knew what was going on. They changed the interest rate 4 times in one day! I was there 7 1/2 hours and at the end they really tried to screw us over. They put extra charges on every car out of nowhere for things you never asked for. They try to force you to accept these things as part of the deal. I would give negative stars if it allowed it. We struggled through the finance process and almost left the dealership but he was able to step in and make the numbers work. I purchased a Nissan Rogue on August 21, 2025 and the following day of Aug 22nd I called the Sales man Jose Blanco to ask if I can bring the vehicle back because I was hearing a sound in the steering. However I never heard back. I purchased the truck for my daughter whom was heading back to college and therefore I didn't need any problems from the vehicle not even a sound. The salesperson whom sold me the car never contacted me again nor answered any text or calls. Just as i thought I got a call from my daughter September 5th saying the check engine light is on. I called the dealership immediately and asked to speak to the used car manager. I was told after being put on hold 3 different times that today is a busy day for us and to leave my information for a call back. That was Saturday September 6th today is the 9th. I'm not sure what's the communication problem all of a sudden. Before purchasing the truck I received a text and call from Mr. Blanco everyday for a week. What happened to that energy. I just want my daughter car fixed. This place is bad business is my conclusion. read more

Auto National Plano is a dishonest business and wasted a good part of our day. After inspecting our Camry and giving us a written cash offer, we returned to their office to turn in our title and they wanted to inspect the car again. This time they said they found new maintenance concerns and lowered their written offer by $500. This bait-and-switch tactic is why so many consumers never trust car dealers. We said no and took our car elsewhere. read more

i usually don't write reviews that are bad. but i had to write one about auto nation in plano and my bad experience with them. along with their bad customer service and how they treated me. i was looking a car and got in touch with auto nation. i found them online and since they were a actual legit dealership (so i thought) i reached out tp them and received a text quickly about them assigning me to a sales person. fernando, was his name. he asked me what i was looking for, what kind of car im looking for, how much down payment, u know standard questions. i got right to the point and told him what i was looking for, how much money i can put down, i let him know my credit was not that good and that i wanted him to give me what options i had and i did not want to spend all day at the dealership. i was very adament about me not spending hours at the dealership and i wanted to make sure i am approved before i came in there. i kept repeating those things. he then said he could find me a car, that he had some options, and that the approval process should be pretty quick and that i will not spend hours there. ii said are you sure, he said yes we will run ypur application see what you get approved and get you in a car. i asked him are you sure you can find me a car. he said yes we can find you a car for sure dont worry. fernando started off very attentive. he would text me follow up with me , asked me if i had any questions, and then when i went into the dealership, he asked me if i like anything to drink before we got started. he was very nice, attentive, great customer at first. provided good customer service, now befre i went in there told hom i did not want to be in there all night, he said no itwont take all night, imsaid ok. of course i was in there for 5 hours , ridiculous, but i waited and he got me approved for a car. now i gave them the deposit and drove the car off the lot, . there was a long crack in the windshield they didnt tell me about but ok . now i didnt even have the car 3 days before the engine light came on. i immediately call fernando and he said no problem it is still covered bring it in and it will be covered. i said ok great. i brough t the car there and they gave me a loaner. me thinking the car wouldnt be that long, he said they were a little backed up and to be patient nd they will get to me . i said no problem. they ended up have my car for over 2 weeks!!!! ridiculous. i was paying insurance on a car i couldnt drive. then they finally told me my car was ready. i said great is everthng fixed, they said yes. days later picked the car up, he gave me the paper of everyhting they fixed and replaced so no engine light. i drove the car off the lot, didnt even have it a full day and the engine light came right back on. i was furious. immediately texted fernando said the engine light came on again, i thought yall fixed the issue. he didnt say bring it in let us fox it, he said let me speak to my manager and look into another option for you. days went by no call no nothing, i texted fernando asking the status, he said he was still waiting on a decision from him manager. more days went by , still nothing, im texting him asking whats going on, he said still waiting on decision from his manager. i said it doesnt take this long to get a decision, we are now in 2 weeks and still no resolution and my car still has the issue, i txted him that and nw he is not responding. i texted fernando several times and no responses, no courtesy call no nothing , he just straight ignpred me. i guess since he got the sell he just did me wrong pushed me to the side and treated me like crap. so i said have your manager call ,e, waitd days and no manager called. ferannd then sends me ths text saying my manager will handle t ask for wade. so you already inconvenience me of me coming up there several times, but now u just blow me off ignpre me and push me off on someone else. unbelieveable!!!! and horble custgomer service and messed up person for that. i was pissed. i then showed up at the dealership and asked for wade. and course wade said he knew nothing about the stuation , that fernando did not explain anything to him. wow!!!! so i had to sit there and explain, i just wanted my car fixed and the engine light issue fixed!!!!!! was that too hard to ask !!!! while i was talking to wade he act like he didnt care and literally it looked like he was falling asleep while i was talking to him , horrible manager!!!!! he then said ok go ahead and go to work and come back drop the car off and we will fix it nobody. he then said someone told the dealership i didnt want the car that it was at the shop and that they claim they were trying to call me, i never even spoke to the dealership or finance department so they was full of s... they are liars, so now they claim there no deal on the cr now, i said wth are yall talking about i didnt talk to anyone. yall ar scammers,nd liars. so when im getting in the car, this manager named nat read more
