My text to Timothy. This was on my way home and trying to get SOMEONE to pick up the phone.

Have you heard of www.MasterClass.com? It's a subscription-based platform that provides video lessons from industry experts in various fields. If the Service center at Porsche Plano offered a class, I'd call it: "The Art Of Providing Terrible CX (Customer Experience). So you may follow my timeline, whenever I say, "today," "today" is August 20, 2025. My appointment for my 911 was set for today @ 11:30 AM. The reminders sent to me told me my service advisor was Timothy Shaffer. When I arrived, I told the gentleman that greeted me I had an appointment with Timothy. He introduced me to an advisor named Robin. Robin was sweet and pulled up my appointment on her computer and asked me, "How can we help you?" I was taken aback and asked her, "I specified what I needed looked at when I set the appointment...is it not in the notes?" They were not. So, she asked me to show her my car and point out the items that needed work, which I did. She then grabbed a pen and a numbered tag (the ones they hang on your rearview mirror) to write on. One would think that a $29 billion company, such as AutoNation, would provide their advisors with iPads and a CRM containing customer data. She let me know that it would take a few hours to give me an estimate. I told her this was not a problem but I needed my car by the time they closed. Since I knew I was dropping my car off, I told my father that I would buy him lunch if he picked me up. He told me he would be there in 20 - 25 minutes. To kill time, I walked around the showroom for 5-6 minutes. They had a red 2025 Cayenne Coup. Gorgeous! I spent the rest of my time looking at preowned inventory outside. While I was outside, two other customers appeared. The entire time I was outside (and in the show room) nobody greeted me nor the other customers. My father arrived & I took him to lunch. During lunch, I received another text saying, "Hi, welcome to Porsche Plano Service, my name is Shane and I am your service advisor." Told my father about my 3 advisors and we had a laugh. No big deal. After lunch, I went back to work. Around 6:15PM, I was on my way home and realized no one had called me about my car. Not Timothy. Not Robin. Not Shane. I called the main phone number and went through all the options MULTIPLE times. Service: No answer. I hit, "0" for the operator. No answer. I decided to use the trick of selecting, "Sales." Surely...someone calling about buying a new car would answer the phone. Nope. Nobody answered. From the time I left work to arriving home (around 15 minutes), I called the main number and tried to reach SOMEONE at Porsche Plano (choosing the "Sales" option most of the time). I was so frustrated, I sent Timothy a text at 6:31PM letting him know what horrific customer service they had. Of course, he never responded. At 6:40 PM I get a text from Robin letting me know that she's trying to reach me. I called her when I got home and she let me know that the estimate for my car was $3,200. I thanked her for the estimate and proceeded to let her know... ...calling a customer 20 minutes before closing time and assuming they can make it is inconsiderate (especially after said customer told you they needed their car that day). ... forget their process of assigning 3, different, service advisors. ... forget the fact that no one spoke to me or the other customers outside. ...my B-I-G-G-E-S-T issue was the fact that a customer could call their store and not have a SINGLE department (including new car sales!) answer a call after 20+ attempts. My call with Robin lasted almost 11 minutes. She apologized, profusely, and I let her know that I really appreciated her listening to me, that I knew it wasn't her fault but that her GM needed to take HUGE steps to improve their CX. I ended my call by stating that, even if they charged me $0 for the repairs, there was no way I was going to give them my business and I would be taking my car to Avondale since several of my friends raved about their sales/service CX. Finally, if you need service, take it to www.RACPerformance.com. Ask for Solomon Roffe.

The Service Department deserves all 5 stars for their outstanding customer service and personal attention. Zachary led the way by communicating with me regularly on the status of my repairs and explained what work was needed in terms even the less mechanically inclined could understand. In this time where staffing shortages are common everywhere, he kept me informed of the progress and ensured I had a clean reliable loaner to use in the interim. I was very pleased with the entire experience and look forward to purchasing my next new vehicle from them.

My brother and I wanted to get our first convertible Porsche and Scott at Porsche Plano helped guide us through the entire process.  His helpful suggestions during the design process resulted in a gorgeous sports car that we couldn't wait to get on the road.  He helped to keep us up to date throughout the build process and made the entire purchase experience seemless.  When you are ready to buy your Porsche I would highly recommend contacting Scott Reynolds at Porsche Plano, knowing first hand he will guide you through the process and get the right Porsche for you

We just moved in from the greater Chicago area, and we are very happy to have Porsche of Plano as our go to Dealer. We purchased our brand Porsche from Mark Laurenzi and he made sure our process was smooth and we are very happy with the service and quality they provide. We maintained our vehicle at the Barrington Porsche dealer and coming from a 5 star service dealer, we are so glad to be back to another 5 star service dealer. We just recently had service performed on our vehicle and Jeffrey Jutzi took care of us and we are pleased with the fast and hassle free service that we received. We even mentioned to Jeff that back in Barrington Illinois, the dealership has their own full service Starbucks Coffee shop in the New Cars show room floor. He said he will mention it to his GM. Fingers cross and we can get one in after all everything is bigger and better in Texas right? I highly recommend this dealership and the team of staff at this location are amazing.

Horrible service department. 1 star is generous.

Review posted by Jeff on Melissa's account:…read more On Friday February 13th, my wife and I visited Sewell BWM of Plano to test drive a BWM X3 and X5 to see which would fit us better. She is recovering from stage 3 breast cancer and we wanted to get her a vehicle she's been dreaming of as a gift for going through chemo and radiation over the past year. It was around 1830 so it was starting to get dusky out, but still had about 1.5 hours until closing. Several cars outside were unlocked but inside the showroom all the SUV's were locked, Go figure! On top of that, we completely walked around inside for 45 minutes (whilst stopping to look at the interior wood trim/carpet/leather samples) and outside but couldn't get anyone to acknowledge our existence. My wife was wearing a slouchy beanie cancer cap since her hair was recovering from being bald....so I don't know if no one thought a sick person should be buying or leasing a BMW. Not a Manager, not a salesperson, not even the lady at the courtesy desk. But yet we saw 4 salespeople talking to a customer & helping transfer items from a trade to new BMW. FOUR! She was hoping to get a female salesperson but not even the two ladies we saw greeted or acknowledged her. It gives me pause to think no one wanted to acknowledge my lady who's gone through Hades the past year who is treating herself for beating and surviving stage 3 cancer. Sickening and appalling, actually! We haven't bought or leased another vehicle yet since she's deciding whether to lease or buy, but it completely turned her off of BWM and all Sewell dealerships period. Which means no Lexus, no Cadillac, no Audi, and no BWM. Thankfully, the Park Place and Crest and other dealerships exist; even if I have to drive to Dallas or Fort Worth or Grapevine. Their slogan should be "I Drive a Stool" because that's the service you'll get if the Ladies look less than healthy and wealthy. I see why a recent review calls the dealership personnel "cocky and arrogant" after a muti-million dollar expansion....because I can imagine how follow-ups and maintenance would be, even on a lease. Long story short I found a car at a different dealership that was hard to find, they were a bit stiff and offered me below value what KBB said I could get for my great condition low mileage car with premium package. The dealer where I was getting the car I wanted (I'll just say it - Audi Plano!?#$% Avoid them at all costs if you want a FAIR deal) they offered me a RIDICULOUSLY below average amount - what KBB suggested. I walked out frustrated and tired physically and mentally. Thank God I noticed Carmax nearby and thought Why Not? I walked in, there was very much a dmv feel to it Lots of people, sitting everywhere, lot's of traffic in and out. There was a monitor with peoples names/appointment times at the front desk. I thought, wow how am I going to get an appraisal on a weekend with all these people? When it was my turn the guy was very nice and said no problem, we can do that for you and he re-directed me to the business window which was nearby. I was still skeptical and cranky given what I had been through at another dealership. Business desk had a lot going on too, but they seemed to be in good spirits with each other and the people who approached them! Complete opposite from previous dealer. I was greeted by Micah (sp?) who was seemed relaxed despite the busyness, she told me how appraisals worked in a matter of fact way, when I hesitantly asked how long all this would take, she quickly said it should be no more than 30 mins with a confident smile. I was still skeptical but refused to give away my car for the measly amount the other dealer offered me. Well, I went to the bathroom, people watched and yeah about 30 mins later, she came back with my appraisal quote! way more than MORE than what the stingy dealer down the street was offering me and ABOVE KBB !! If I didn't want the other car so bad at A/P, I would've gladly told them to touch grass! But unfortunately they had what I needed. I would have felt much better to have bought from Carmax, everyone I encountered there was friendly, professional and got things done in a great amount of time! I want to thank Micah again for being so patient with me and explaining things while I was under great personal stress and timelines as well (death in the family, trade in car papers expiring etc). I sold my beloved car to Carmax in Plano, had a GREAT experience from beginning to end and wanted to let them know I appreciate them being a positive part in such a stressful weekend for me. Thanks again!!!! (SH)

Also, her grammar was god awful and couldn't spell certain words right. This was just a warning of the terrible experience I was about to go through. The only time I could get a response was after requesting multiple times to be transferred to a different salesperson. After weeks of poor communication, I finally decided to stop wasting time and drive from Austin to Dallas in person. I arrived fully prepared to purchase the vehicle that day. I wasn't negotiating the advertised price, wasn't asking for discounts, and was ready to drive the car off the lot. In other words, this should have been one of the easiest sales imaginable. Unfortunately, the experience only got worse when I arrived. The dealership felt chaotic and disorganized from the moment I walked in. The showroom was crowded, messy, and far from what you would expect from a dealership selling luxury vehicles. There were visible scratches and damage throughout the facility, and even basic details seemed neglected. To make matters worse, despite my repeated requests to work with someone else, Chassity immediately approached me and brought me back to her desk. When it came time to discuss numbers, the real issue surfaced. The advertised price on the third-party website was not the actual price they intended to sell the vehicle for. They had added roughly $3,000 in "optional" products and services, including a theft protection package. I told them plainly: remove the optional package, and I would buy the car immediately. That's when I received one of the most absurd explanations I've ever heard in a car-buying experience. I was told the package was "optional," but not in the sense that it could be removed. Instead, it was "optional" because I could choose to pay even more money to upgrade it. In other words, the package was mandatory, despite being presented as optional. At that point, it became clear that the advertised price was little more than bait to get customers in the door before adding thousands of dollars in mandatory extras. Between the lack of communication, the disregard for my requests, the chaotic dealership environment, and the misleading pricing tactics, this was easily the worst car-buying experience I have ever had.

It seems this dealership USED to force charge extra $2k-3k worth of add-ons such as warranty and tint and coatings and other things that could not be refused. I then read a comment by the dealership that they are turning a new leaf and including those things in the up front price. Man, talk about not getting it. It isn't the up front or after price that matters, it is the forced upgrades to begin with. Most people don't want that. Provide a way to opt out of these things and not pay them at all and I may consider buying with you from out of state. Otherwise that's a hard no to a dealership who seems to be clueless at best, and bordering on dishonest at worst. Even with the price disclosed up front, these things should not be force included even if disclosed, that is what makes it borderline dishonest. If they confirm this policy has changed, will be happy to change the review score. But honestly, their huge disclaimer on the online listings kind of indicates you are being set up to be screwed and then pretend like "hey, we warned you" and that is what made me check the yelp reviews in the first place. Just get a clue and realize the price doesn't matter it is the fact you are forcing them to buy things they don't want to buy.
