10 Stars for sure I don't know too many shops who take walk ins but they did as my AC fitting was leaking no cold air 102% in Paso Robles on my from the Bay Area to Pismo. Blessing in Time of Need, Randy took care of me. My water Pump gave out on me 1 night, had my car towed to the 1 and only place I've been going to for the past year. "Hoping" for a minor costing repair, I just about fell out when I was told the cost.. But needing My car, I started searching for ways to have it fixed & be able to Pay. Without knowing anything else, I had to pray on it. Long story short, Randy called to let me Know, to come pick up the car "My Father" took care of it. (My step-dad knew nothing of my car related issue..lol) So, Not sure what he may be speaking of, he told me "Daddy God, took care of my cost". (he (Randy) felt led to take care of the cost (me). I still can't hold the tears back, when remembering this. I will ALWAYS be eternally grateful to Randy for his act of kindness. I've had 1 thing after another fall apart in my life, lately, and had found no way to fix my car. If it weren't for Randy, I'd be in such a Horrible state of Despair. I don't live in town, but a good distance in the country part of Paso Robles.. I am SO THANKFUL for Randy. He's been Blessed with such a Big Heart! And Does Excellent Work. To sum this up, He's Not Just a shop owner, nor Just a Mechanic. He's a Man of the Good Lord. And Understands!! I couldn't ask for a better place to take my car. Your car is an extension of yourself. You need to be safe, With Randy, I KNOW that the work that is done on my car is safe & done right. There's a confidence I don't always get from other shops. Fantastic, awesome service, kind, efficient and thorough! Was traveling from San Francisco to Los Angeles with a 1969 VW Westfalia Air-Cooled 1600cc Dual Port. Was encountering sluggish performance - cutting out on inclines, etc. Earlier that morning had another mechanic in Solodad fix a problem with the distributor, but during the 70 miles to Paso Robles problems still persisted. Was recommended to Auto Limits by the guy at the Shell station right off the 24th. Street Exit. First talked with John whereby he tinkered with it for 5 minutes and told me to come back at 2pm (it was around noon). At 2pm I told John to do as thorough of a job to get my Bus purring! Well, he did! He diligently worked, re-worked, tinkered with and adjusted just about everything he could. He uncovered about 10+ issues that were a direct cause to my cutting out, etc. He even checked his work by test-driving the Bus for about 10 minutes; he tested it on steep hills and such to make sure I had the power I needed and that the engine wasn't acting up. Again - John IS awesome and did my '69 and my peace of mind a great service. The 240 mile drive home was effortless! Up two pretty big grades, in Santa Barbara and LA traffic, it performed perfectly. I can't say enough about Auto Limit's professionalism and willingness to take on an 'emergency' like mine. They went above and beyond than ..."just getting me on the road..."! I hope others read this and are assured that if you have ANY auto issues, and are in the area of Paso Robles, you can drive up to Auto Limits (limping) and drive away (purring)! On my way to disneyland and my car heats up, well good thing we stopped at the gas station and the sheriff was around. Asked if he could help, he recommended to go to Auto Limits with Randy. So 10 miles later we arrive. Randy said he had to inspect the car, so an hour later we find that the thermastat might need a changw but the car should be fine. He was a very professional and hardworking man. I highly recommend anyone with car trouble to see him. Had my car towed here today due to a severely cracked radiator. One word encompasses this place....OUTSTANDING!!!!! The service and professionalism are hands down the best ive EVER received at an auto shop, as were the cleanliness and hospitality. The owner and mechanic really take pride in their work and they do their best to ensure that you have a pleasent experience while you are there. They even went as far as to replace a lightbulb that was out after already handing me the bill. They honestly try to give you the best prices here and dont throw in an over excessive mark up. Twice now, Auto Limits has gone above and beyond our expected level customer service. The first time we took our truck to Auto Limits was because we were fed up with our other repair shop severely under quoting us on work that needed to be done. We shared our frustrations with Auto Limits and said we don't care the cost, we just want to know what to expect. Well, time and time again they have met and exceeding our expectations. The price we were quoted was the price we paid. He also performed a check-up on a car we were considering buying from Craigslist. He drove the car on the freeway, opened her up, took off the tires, etc. and gave an extensive report on what he found. He did all this for half the price as our other repair shop, which charged double for half the work. One time he was doing work for us and we had already gotten a quote for a certain part of the job from someone else. Well when Auto Limits finished their part of the work, he drove the car to the other shop for us and let them finish! I felt as though this was great customer service!! One stop shop, where customer service, quality service and honest service is top priority. No need to go anywhere else :) read more

My first dealings with Auto Limits was the best. Love the owners who seem to really care! They figured out my Air Conditioning problem, which was semi complicated since I drive a Mini Cooper, and without much further ado ..... fixed it !! Not only that,when I got in to drive away they noticed my right rear brake lite was not working and called me on my cell phone before i got too far away. I bought a new-to-me 4runner, and it was from an individual who only had a few service records. However, it was the one I wanted, so I bought it. Anyway, I figured the first thing I should do is have the brakes checked. I called Auto Limits, and the gentleman was quite nice, and was able to get me in at 3:00 in the afternoon. I chatted with his wife while my vehicle was getting checked out. I can only say that they are both extremely gracious and kind people, with strong family values. As far as the brake check, it was completed pronto, FREE of charge, and with observations and recommendations for future maintenance needs. We moved to paso from slo so blindly went into a new car repair place to get my brakes worked on. Couldn't be more thrilled. They gave a more than fair price and advice for the future how to prevent the damage from getting so bad. It's a family run business and the people were so friendly and personable. These guys are so good I finally registered on Yelp to write a review. Our 2005 Honda broke down east of Paso Robles on Sunday of MLK weekend. From out of area so I checked Yelp rvws & had it towed to Auto Limits, hoping they would be open on MLK. Owner called first thing Monday morning, DROVE TO OUR MOTEL to pick-up key and diagnosed a variable valve timing problem in a half-hour. That meant he met the morning deadline to order parts from Ventura, which didn't come in 'til about 3:30pm but Randy did install in 1 hour. He saved us from taking the train home & having to return another day for the car; lifesaver!! Cost was very reasonable, didn't gouge us for holiday weekend or because we were stranded. Car has run great since. These guys are totally honest, reasonable and know what they're doing; and they're NICE people. if I lived in Paso they'd be my mechanics. Only negative is the overnight key dropbox screwed to the wall, seems like someone could pry it off if they wanted to go joyride in your dropped off car. read more

Had a very good first impression with Randy and Tanya. Unfortunately, an honest mistake was made by them and some work was not done as agreed. When we brought this to their attention, we were disputed, then refunded. Then we were completely shunned like we did something wrong. Randy handed us our money (not even the whole amount we lost) and just walked away without so much as an apology or even saying goodbye. I was 1,000 miles into a road trip from New Mexico and deep down a dirt road when my brakes went out COMPLETELY. I Googled auto repair shops while driving up the 101 with one hand on the emergency brake and my heart in my throat. Randy answered the phone, and was notably sweet and supportive, advising me to be careful, and promising he'd do what he could to get me back on the road as soon as he could. While I waited for the prognosis, his wife offered me their wi-fi password, asked if I needed to charge my phone, offered me water, and calmed my shaky nerves with stories of meeting Randy. They quickly diagnosed the problem, fixed it within two hours, and had me back on the road feeling safe, confident and supported. As far as road trip emergencies go, I couldn't imagine a smoother or more graceful experience, and I absolutely credit Auto Limits for going the distance not only in being an honest and competent auto repair shop, but a business run with integrity by compassionate, heart-centered, wonderful people.
