The staff here are super kind, helpful, and informative. Got my car in and out quickly. Great deal. I will be going here from now on

We have been taking our vehicles here for a few years now. We always make an appointment and service is prompt. I even used the shuttle service this time to take a ride back to my house while I waited for my car to be finished. Staff is helpful and communication is great read more

I just bought a used Prius and a beep beeping kept going off. I pulled into Sunset and Armondo checked all the fluids, etc and he determined that the tire pressure was low in all 4 tires. I knew I needed new tires when I bought the car so I ordered the tires and an alignment (which I also knee it needed). It's nice to know that my little Prius is in good hands at Atascadero Sunset Honda. read more

The Atascadero repair center of Sunset in SLO. Handles all makes and models of gas powered vehicles. Prices generally in mid range compared to other dealerships. Good service capability. Altho Honda recommends 6K oil changes its best to stick with 3K. Avoid so called discount oil changer shops. read more

Dishonest / Long Con My car now gets around 20mpg, after Sunset Honda sold me an air intake I did not need, installing it caused the check engine light to come on, and by that point my oil change had evolved to a $900 Estimate to look at the issue they caused. Take a pictures of Everything they claim they do! read more

Personable, talented, and well-trained mechanics. This is NOT your run-of-the- mill service center. These people cater to their customers. Highly recommended! read more

I had an odd vibrating noise on the driver's side of my 6 1/2 year-old Honda, which emanated from my gas tank door that is pushed to open in order to add gas. Armando, in the Sunset Service Center in Atascadero diagnosed the issue quickly, ordered a necessary part, and told me to return the next afternoon. Andrew, who takes care of the appointments and paperwork, also checked my tire pressure for me and reset the low pressure indicator on the dash. The next day's repair took about an hour. The friendly, professional team at this service center always makes me confident that my Honda is well-maintained for a reasonable cost. I'm grateful to have such a trusted place, and good people to take care of my car! read more

Called for a quote from several Honda dealers including this one. They were a full 300 dollars more than other dealerships. I dislike Sunset Honda because they're so sketchy (multiple terrible experiences at the SLO shop -- finally dumped them) but called them this time around just to give them a second chance. Nope! read more

Excellent customer service.....they are very thorough in recommending what is necessary to keep your vehicle running and in top condition. The staff is always helpful, courteous and professional..... I highly recommend taking your vehicle here to be serviced and maintained. Thank you Armando and Andrew for always taking care of my vehicle so that I'm safe on the road at all times. I have peace of mind taking my vehicle to Sunset Honda not having to worry that everything was done properly. read more

My Honda pilot wouldn't start back up after getting gas. There was a message on the dash saying brake system problem. So I called sunset service center in Atascadero and Armando stayed on the phone with me to troubleshoot only to find out it was a dead battery. I was able to jump the car and get it to the service center by 3pm where they had me in and out within 20 minutes with a new battery. Thankful for their expertise and helping me troubleshoot the issue over the phone. I highly recommend this place and would give them more stars if I could! read more

Took my 2020 civic si in for a funny squeak that had been to 3 different shops(dealership included) and nobody could find the problem brought it in to sunset after reading the Yelp reviews and to my surprise they not only found the problem they also solved it In a timely manner would definitely go back read more

If I could give Sunset 10 stars, I would. My family was traveling through California when our Honda Odyssey broke down. We could make it into Atascadero, and then we looked around for service centers. After trying a few and butting up against closing times, Armando greeted us at the front desk and agreed to take a look at it. He and his crew went above and beyond all expectations, diagnosing and repairing in time to get us on the road for our deadline! He even helped us find a rental car while we waited - since it was a multi-day repair - as well as transportation to the rental agency. Armando worked beyond his normal schedule, communicating every step of the way so we knew what he was doing and could decide if there were repairs we could hold off on until we got home. I honestly don't know what we would have done if he and the rest of Sunset Honda had not helped us. We are beyond grateful, and want to make sure Atascadero and the surrounding area know what a treasure they have there! We plan to visit next time we're in town - perhaps we'll be due for an oil change by then. read more

Thank you to Kendra, RJ and the mechanics at Atascadero's Sunset Service Center. Yesterday, we scheduled an 8am appointment for our Honda's maintenance service but had to get there earlier and used the "early bird drop" off box. When it was ready, we had a bit of an issue getting away from work to pickup our car. But the staff were extremely helpful in working it out with us. That and the excellent communication and service of our vehicle makes Sunset Service Center a winner! They deliver the kind of old school integrity of service you don't see very often these days, honest, reliable and excellent customer service. Thanks again guys!! read more

Professional. Honest. Prompt. I cannot say enough other than the fact that these guys are busy, technically excellent and treat you like family. Armando and his crew make you feel like family- in that they deliver the absolute best for those they care about. Truly a gem! read more

Awesome service here, the techs and the clerks and everyone were so helpful. Found that my car was covered under Honda's original warranty so what's wrong with that? Will definitely be coming back here again! read more

This was my first visit to the Honda Service Center. I have been skeptical to give them a try since I had a bad experience attempting to buy a vehicle from the SLO dealership (I did not buy my car from SLO). I took my car in for its 30,000 mile service...I have to say everyone was very friendly and helpful. They shuttled me home when I dropped my car off and picked me up when my car was done. Trina in the office was super helpful and was able to answer all my questions. They didn't try to talk me into anything extra, and I was encouraged to wait for the "maintenance minder" alert in my car to tell me when I need service, as opposed to doing it early and wasting money(I'm old school and programmed to do stuff at certain mileages)...I will definitely be back for routine maintenance and service! read more

I really can't give these guys anything other than praise. I've been taking my '16 Honda Fit here for regular services since I bought the car from the Sunset Dealership in SLO. They are great with customers. The oil changes are extremely reasonable priced, and don't take forever. The 30,000 mile service was pricey (because dealership) but they gave me plenty of warning to prepare. They also shuttled me to a nearby coffee shop and were dont an hour earlier than they quoted. I trust them with my vehicle, 100%. read more

Wonderful staff and service. Took my car in today just to have it checked out for underneath damage and they looked it over even showed me what they found took the time to make sure my car was safe. When I asked them what I owed they said don't worry about it. I can't be more thankful for their honest hospitality. I will always trust my Honda in their hands. read more

Been taking our civic here for 4 years now. The staff are super nice and professional.

I nearly had a "meltdown," when my 2015 Honda Fit (which I love), would not start. My daughter was due to deliver a baby literally any minute, and she lives 4 hours away. It was already near mid-afternoon and I immediately called Drew at Sunset Honda, Atascadero. Not knowing my exact situation, he asked me if I could get it started and bring it in the next day, a.m. When I explained my personal situation, he suggested I jump start it and get it right there. Exactly what I did. It was only the battery and they took care of it right away. Thank you, Drew and Crew! I have been very happy with your efficient, friendly, care of my Fit, over these past 5 years! read more

I have a 2013 CVR that needed regular service. I called the service department in SLO and they were so crazy/slammed that I kept getting disconnected. After finally becoming so frustrated with this poor person at the other end of the phone, I was told about the Sunset Service Center in Atascadero....I live in Paso Robles. Wow, why didn't I know about this place before? Richard was so accommodating, I didn't wait too long for the work to be completed and the mechanics seem very knowledgeable. If I have an emergency I don't have haul down to LOVR! A real gem to know about. read more

I have a 2016 CRV and since I bought it in April 2016 I got a nail in a tire and the battery totally died. Both times this location came to my rescue. When my battery died, it was a defective battery, I was across the street from this location in a parking lot. I called them for help because I wasn't sure it was a battery problem. In the blink of an eye and dispite their being very busy the manager jumped in his car and came over to jump my battery. I wish I could remember his name, but he is the type of manager every service shop should have. Friendly. Helpful. I would highly recommend this shop. Thank you. read more

Armando is amazing! Always so knowledgable and helpful. Today my car blew a fuse and Armando squeezed me in and didn't even charge me. He spent a good 30 minutes on my car. He's great! If you have a choice definitely go to this service center over the one in SLO read more

We were so pleased with Sunset Service Center in Astascadero. On the first day of our vacation in Paso Robles, we noticed a message in our Honda vehicle indicating a problem. We called the San Luis Obispo Honda and they contacted Sunset to have them look at our car. Armando checked everything out and discovered it was the battery which was almost dead. They explained everything to us and immediately got the repair done so we could continue on our vacation. They were so efficient, helpful, thorough and caring. We had a wonderful vacation and was due in part to Armando and his team understanding our situation. We highly recommend this wonderful Service Center. read more

Just had a major repair done on my 2010 Honda Accord, at Atascadero Sunset Service Center! l had the engine replaced and all major services caught up. I have been going to this shop since 2011. Armando is the best! He is not only very knowledgeable about Honda's he is caring, kind and compassionate. My car has burned oil since 2011, I did so many oil consumption tests trying to prove to big Honda that there was a problem. If my car didn't burn over a quart of oil in the first thousand miles they wouldn't consider it a problem even though big Honda extended the warranty on this model up to 125,000! Because of the oil usage it burned out the catalytic converter and on and on and on. Long story short, I love my Honda it is in excellent condition and paid for. Armando found a engine with only 47,000 miles on it for me and installed it and now my car drives like a brand new car! Thanks to Armando and his awesome team! read more

Sunset Honda Service Center in Atascadero helped find a problem with my car that my usual auto mechanic was unable to locate. They found and corrected it. However, as soon as the problem was corrected they called me to tell me my engine light had come on, which I had had no problem with, and that I needed a catalytic converter. I was quoted a price of $700.00 for the converter plus the other things that had to be done for a total of around 1,300.00. Called my usual mechanic who although could not find the problem with the engine does a very good job with my car, I asked them how much for a catalytic converter plus smog, they said 1,076.00. well the difference was not that much plus Sunset did find the main problem so I told Sunset to go ahead with the repairs. When I picked my car up the cost was over 1,600.00. Talked with the Manager who continued todeny what she had quoted me over the phone. Not good. Won't go there again. read more
