The vehicle is still covered by Toyota's factory warranty, and my only request was to have the battery evaluated to confirm that it was operating within Toyota's specifications. During my visit, I was informed that I would be charged a $200 diagnostic fee if no warrantable defect was found. I was told the fee would only be waived if a defect covered by the warranty was identified. As a customer, this was unexpected. My concern was not to obtain a free repair, but to ensure that a major component of a brand-new vehicle was functioning properly. I believe it is reasonable for customers to seek confirmation that a new vehicle is operating as designed without having to risk a diagnostic charge if no defect is ultimately found. The service staff treated me professionally and explained the dealership's policy. My concern is not with the employees, but with the policy itself and the customer experience it creates. I respectfully ask Toyota Modesto and Toyota Motor North America to review this practice and consider whether customers with legitimate warranty concerns on new vehicles should be required to assume the cost of diagnostics simply because the vehicle is ultimately found to be operating within specifications. Luis was the one who showed us the car initially and explained Hyundai's no nonsense approach to car buying. We visited the dealership a few times and Luis always treated us with a great smile and attitude. When it was time to pick up the car Luis was out for the day but Mary helped us with our delivery. Mary was the nicest young gal and has a love for cars like no other young woman I've met. She had us test drive the car and demonstrated the ins and outs of the infotainment system and electronics of the car. She assisted us with all our paperwork which was a seamless process. I can't say enough about Mary, she was just so nice and bubbly and it's obvious she loves her job and people. The finance manager was also very friendly and efficient Kelly did offer us some extra warranties but was never pushy or anything. Usually when it's time to go see the finance manager you know that's where the hard sell is and the payment isn't gonna be what the other sales people told you. In our case that was not so. We got the exact payment and down payment we discussed and never felt any kind of pressure. I googled Devine Auto and checked out what reviews had to say. After doing our homework we decided we wanted to check out this 2014 Ram Promaster. Their website has an option to text a question, I sent a message inquiring on who they use for financing and what rates are. Anthony texted back within an hour and let me know they have a few different credit unions they use. He also followed up with a call (we weren't able to connect,) but appreciate the effort. Fast forward to the next day, we were in Modesto for an appointment. Started early and walked in as soon as they opened and were warmly greeted by Elvis. He was able to show us the van and we both were able to drive it. Upon return we started the purchase process, sat down with Mike. We gave Mike a price out the door we were comfortable with and he made it happen. Also used his financing after checking with my bank. We left for our appointment and then came back to complete the paperwork and drove home in our new to us preloved Promaster. We had a few issues we found and called Mike. He was quick to get the van back and correct the issues with no question. We also purchased a warranty with the van being 10 years old. We had an amazing experience at Devine Auto. I am not sure when we will need to buy again, but Devine will be our first stop. Mike, Elvis, Anthony, Roy... all of them were like old friends and the vibe was so comfortable. A+ experience. I've had some bad experiences before with Kia salesmen (finance guy was surprisingly solid though), Toyota salesmen, and Lexus Finance guy (Lexus salesmen was a perfect gentlemen though). I still remember the Lexus finance room where everytime I said no to a warranty, he'd give me a dirty look like I am an idiot and say "what are you going to do if it breaks?" It's a LEXUS dude! People are buying it to NOT have to buy extended warranties haha. Same with Mazda! It's reliable, no need for extended warranties. I'll be servicing my Mazda there for many years. My review on the car and why I bought a Mazda 3 Sedan over a Honda or Toyota: - Almost luxury car interior. Best interior for the price range by far, head and shoulders above Toyota, Honda, etc. - Exterior and Interior are beautiful. - Naturally Aspirated Engine, Normal Automatic 6 speed Transmission, and I didn't want a Hybrid. I plan on driving this car 200k+ miles and I don't want a big 5k battery replacement expense nor do I want a CVT Transmission crapping out on me at 130k miles. - Looks way nicer than a Corolla or Civic. I think the new Civics are kind of ugly TBH. - After tons of research, I think Mazda is third in reliability behind Lexus and Toyota. And definitely more reliable than a Non Hybrid Corolla with the CVT (the eCVT in the hybrid version is fine). - Mazda is #1 in car crash safety. - AWD - Seats are 10x more comfortable than other compact sedans. The Leather seats in the Civic Touring are horrible. No lumbar support and also hard as a rock, and you slip everywhere. - Has memory seating, rare for this price point. - Solid MPG for a non hybrid. - I fell in love with the Polymetal Gray color. Although I do like Machine Gray, Platinum Quartz, Black, and Red a lot as well. Mazda Red is the only red I think looks great on a car. Get a Mazda. And get one from Modesto. Maybe I should be part of the sales team haha (just kidding). Hope this review helps any potential buyers out. EDIT: One last thing... the service area here is basically a luxury car experience. It is a VERY nice area. Super upscale, great seats, great design, TV's, etc. It's completely on par with Lexus. Rare for a non luxury brand. Honda, Toyota, Kia, Hyundai, and most non luxury brands have a pretty meh service area. Mazda's is on par with Lexus, BMW, etc. The outside also looks like a luxury car dealership. I love the black and silver color scheme and overall building design. Whoever designed the building did a great job.

Unfortunately she was involved in an accident and the journey was totaled. The Renegade had stalled, windshield squirters dont work and brakes down to the nub. Jeep Cherokee has blown shocks and struts with other issues with suspension. My daughter's santa fe which im pissed about has overspray which indicates an accident and multiple suspension issues. I am a mechanic in the family and my mother in law got real close to Gilbert foolishly and he took advantage of her. Gilbert my mother in law had a medical condition which needed medical attention and you pretty much took advantage of her. I would understand if the vehicles you sold were road-ready vehicles but these are not road ready. Actually dangerous since the Renegade stalled. I suggest you call her and reference my name to get the vehicles repaired. I suggest anyone considering purchasing from this dealer get a pre-purchase inspection at a reputable auto shop. I dont know how this place has good reviews. This is a real review. Most other reviews are from people that have never reviewed another business but this one. Just because they can approve you at 20% interest doesnt mean you should do it. These are auction vehicles. Cheap tires and an oil change and its ready for sale. Edit: the Renegade is the worst vehicle out of the bunch. You guys zip tied the PCM connector instead of actually fixing it Gilbert? Wow. I took a picture of it. There was no power steering and no power brakes. It caused a dangerous situation. Knowingly repairing the vehicle with zip ties is an illegal act of misrepresentation. Im guessing with the information and actual proof its time to call BAR and file a complaint with DMV
