I chose this bank because the week earlier I'd been in to cash a check someone had written me and the clerks helping me were genuinely nice and helpful, so after my other bank screwed me again I made sure to go back!! The website they use is terribly outdated and requires a paper that was mailed to me in the early part of the loan creation to even get access. We do not have that paper any longer, and getting access without it has been nightmarish. We are now selling the house and sadly will probably pay a pre-payment penalty, which honestly is worth it just to be done with F&M. The people in the bank on Dale road are nice enough, though the painful process following the loan origination are enough to keep me away from F&M permanently. The three-star rating is strictly for the staff, it has been a train wreck since then.

At the BIG BOYS one gets fake smiles, as well as less perks like loans that are easier to get, credit cards with better interest rates for folks trying to re-establish their credit/FICO scores, and more selection options for people needing HELOC loans, etc. Mocse is our 'neighborhood' Credit Union and as such we keep our money local and invest in our own community. So even if the transaction is for $1.99, you are hit with a non refundable $30 fee. It's wrong on so many levels. Also, they are not open nor have a 24 hr call service on weekends making it hard to fix issues, leaving you high and dry until the next business day. takes 30 min to get thru the line. last time i went in, i needed to cash out a big amount and the…read moreteller shorted me $70. i didn't realize it til later in the day, after the branch had closed for the day. i called the next day and they found the overage and deposited me the $70 to my account, so that was nice. the security guard there is very rude, i overheard a customer complained to him about the long line and only two tellers being open. the security guard said it's not the tellers fault, it's the customers fault because "most of the things people are in line for, can be done on the app" and although that might be true, i looked at the of people in line, they were all old enough to be someone's grandparents. i found it annoying that the security guard tried to shame the customers in line, to be serviced AT THE PLACE THEY HAVE THERE MONEY IN. they really need to get more tellers. cant believe i have to wait 1/2 of my lunch break, just trying to get a cashiers check!
