Great service. Did oil change and service person recommended a power steering flush by showing me the fluid color (some places don't do that anymore.) I also knew I had a broken vacuum hose that I couldn't repair that was affecting my A/C. Instead of giving me the run-around or saying what they thought was the problem the mechanic listened to my explanation, looked with me at the vacuum hoses and spotted it right away. Did the repair for under $40 (some folks charged more than $200 by the dealer for the same repair) and gave me the replacement vacuum hose for free. Everything was finished in 1/2 hour. No trying to fix other stuff that wasn't broken; no wasting my time, just good, friendly service at a great price. read more

I've been going here for 7 years. Friendly and quick service for oil changes. DO NOT have major mechanical repairs done here. WAY over their ability level. Trusted the guys but they failed miserably to fix gaskets for my oil leak. Had to pay twice because the work had to be redone by a full-service mechanic. Suspension parts were replaced and the associated bushings were not replaced at the same time. $500 in labor down-the-drain. read more

I don't think I'll be going here anymore. Went over to alpha auto center across the street. My dad knows the guy there and he seems like a honest person. Anyways I left my car here over night and they said they would have my car fixed the next day. I call the next day and they still haven't looked into my car. Completely wasted my time. I did get my front motor mount fixed here and they changed the rotaries and spark plugs for $435.00 here. I hope I didn't get taken advantage of. Anyways, they did fix the vibration caused by the broken front motor mount so I give them a extra star. If alpha auto center wasn't closed on sunday I would've just went and gotten everything taken take care of over there. I just don't like auto mechanics. Something shady about them. I did see good reviews on this place but I mean these mechanics are lazy. I wish they took more pride in their work. read more

Oil change is surprisingly cheap for brand name oil. I had a few oil changes before I brought my truck in for noises in the front suspension. Two other shops had looked at it already, charged me for repairs noise was still there. These guys correctly identified the problem and repaired it for a very reasonable price. Then I brought my wife's car for a check engine light. They repaired it quickly and again at a good price. I shopped the price and they were 15% lower than the lowest price I was quoted. read more

This place is absolutely awful. Will rip you off and not even inspect the car as they say they do. Two weeks after was having problems and found out my brakes were low-from a different mechanic. When I even asked this shop if they inspected brakes they said yes and I couldn't believe the low quality inspection they gave my car. They rip people off and do a mediocre if not less job. My boyfriend just got back from oil change here and it seems like they tried to run a scam! He checked the oil before going in, it was dirty and the change was needed. Got the work done and the "mechanic" said he needed to show him where there was a "leak". Well my guy knows cars and when he looked at this "leak" it was new clean oil all over the bottom of the engine! Mind you nothing was shown with old dirty oil. They wanted to do a power wash ($50.00) to pin point this leak! Since he knows cars he refused to get this done and mentioned "This sounds like a scam" He noticed the 2 guys who worked there laughing when he left! The joke is on them! Let me start out by saying that for eight years my family has taken all three of the household cars without fault to Auto Express. And for many years, they have fixed and maintained our cars meticulously. Hue and Calvin are great mechanics but these last three visits have been memorable in the fact that they've caused our family to not want to come back because of the actions of they're employees. First visit, a simple window motor repair. All seems well. Second visit, standard oil change and new windshield wipers. Two weeks later a buddy of mine changed my radiator because I couldn't make the trip into riverside. He found tools and my old windshield wipers under my hood and needed to reinstall the window motor because it wasn't aligned properly thus causing my window to come off track. Why, on earth, would respectable mechanic leave tools and old parts under the hood? Third visit: oil change in my brother's car. Today he needed an oil change. He took his car elsewhere and they showed him where his oil filter should have been. No filter. Safe to say they never replace the air filter. This auto repair place used to be the best but it's sad to say that it's not worth anyone's time or money anymore. read more

Been coming here for oil changes and other stuff for 5 or 6 years. They replaced an engine for me in 2012. 50K miles later it still runs like new. Great group of guys and good prices. I'm no mechanic, but I know enough to know when I'm being jerked around. Most shops I've been too will try to feed me BS. Took my car in this week because the check engine light was on and it was having trouble starting. My car was definitely running, but randomly wouldn't start right away. The guys here checked it out, and it turns out there was just a metal piece that was in the way of a certain sensor or something. All they had to do was move the metal piece out of the way. They didn't charge me anything and now my car is starting fine. I'm always skeptical going to auto shops; as a woman that knows very little about how a car runs, they could have told me anything and charged me anything, but this place is not shady at all. They are good for oil changes as well; they don't try to sell you a bunch of unnecessary things (maybe since they are usually busy and don't need to bs you.) I'm very satisfied and would return for anymore of my car needs. read more

I took my vehicle in because it was making a terrible noise. When I arrived I was greeted immediately and I was told the procedures they needed to take in order to look over It. We had brought in the vehicle to get it fixed at Auto Express. We spoke with the "owner" Hugh who had got on all fours to confirm that the transmission gasket was the problem. He claimed that if they replaced the transmission gasket for $129.99 plus labor, the leak will stop. The leak had not stopped and they said they would reseal it under warranty. One of the managers, Rodney, took my keys and asked for my number, without having me sign anything. About 4 hours later, he calls and tells me that to find the real leak, it would be $75 to even check it out to figure out where it was coming from, but if I had it fixed with them, they would roll it into the cost of the repair, assuming it was going to need repair, if not, they would just charge me $75 if nothing is wrong with it. When I told Rodney that I did not want to gamble with my money, he went on to tell me the definition of gambling. I really didn't know what to do at this point, and my boyfriend told me I should seek legal assistance. Since Rodney would not let me respond as to what I was going to do with my vehicle, my boyfriend got on the phone with him and he ended up telling him just to reseal what had been replaced. After all this, they gave me back my car. A few days later I called them to tell them it was still leaking and he said they would not touch my vehicle and refuse any more service with me. To be honest, they treated me like a child, like I didn't know what I was doing just because I was a woman and not a man. I was treated horribly and they had not fixed the problem even whey they said they would after paying them. I cannot even contact them because they refuse to talk to me and hang up on me constantly. I can't even find out what transmission fluid they put in there! read more

Honestly, I hate being negative and it kind of breaks my heart, so I'm just going to be really real with you all! The mechanics don't seem like bad people, it was just for my case, they got themselves in a hole and didn't care to notify me of it. They ripped the lip of my tire as they were installing it, and instead of telling me this, they decided to cover it up by using some kind of black gunk to seal the tare, and they sent me on my way. It saddens me that they could be so immoral. That 'fix' was only temporary, so they knew eventual the tire would give out, and it did. There was no way of noticing this damage until I got the tire removed again (from a different tire place of course, because if I would have gone back to this place, they would have tried to cover it up again, since they did it the first time). Luckily nothing too terrible happened, but now, they denied it through the intermediary company that sent them the tires and don't want to take responsibility. I will update this if things change, but for now, this situation sucks, but I'm working hard to fix it. So my piece of advice is to be really cautious and if you can monitor what they're doing, that would be ideal. read more

Went there for a transmission fluid change and was told it'll be done in a hour and half. Came back 2 hours later and they said they can't do it because their mechanic isn't there and they don't know when he will be there. I asked what can they do and they said "I don't know" and that they don't know any where else to go. I was pretty surprised that they made me wait two hours to tell me they can't do it and can't even suggest some other place. Funny thing was that the lady in front of me was complaining that she got a oil change from them and the filter fell out...That was the last time I go there for anything. read more

I had an unpleasant experience at Auto Express two weeks ago. I dropped my vehicle off at this shop on a Sunday morning around 8:20 a.m. One of the service technicians lead me to believe that by replacing my radiator, two hoses, the thermostat, and the gasket my car would run smoothly and would no longer overheat. After paying $602.55 in repairs and labor and waiting until 3:19 p.m. for my vehicle to be serviced, it overheated again the next day. After spending 30 minutes on the phone explaining why I was upset that my car had overheated the very next day, the only solution the shop manager offered was to calculate the amount I paid for the parts and apply it toward a new engine. Their website claims to provide "fast, honest automotive services at low prices" which in my experience was not true, it was far from that. read more

I am so lucky I happened upon this place by total luck. The crew was great, professional, positive attitudes, definitely work well as a team. As a single young independent female...its tough when you have to have any sort of maintenance on your car...if you can't for any reason grasp concepts of mechanics (by all means not saying that you cant, I cant, you can be brilliant, yet have a hard time understanding anything about your car)......and I left for once not feeling like I was almost taken advantage of, or I was charged more than I should have been. No pressure there, very upfront. I had such a positive experience. They seem to really care about people, when the lead mechanic came out to tell me it wasn't the worse possible scenario....he had a big smile....maybe it was cause I was scared that I would owe a lot of money and be stuck alone in the county without a ride to work and I was wide eyed nervous on the bench idk lol....but anyways working in the medical field I see those "care providers" that really stand out, and I really appreciate good service, empathy, and a caring nature, whether in healthcare or in any other business. The ability of a company to grow really depends on the workers, and I really wish the best for this company they deserve it. Excellent service today. They really seemed passionate about their jobs and that's great!!! I am sure great things are to come from the company. Sure, we live in a crowded state, and a crowded city, sometimes companies get busy that's understandable you know, it happens...but I am a huge critic on care, information, respect, and truth, and they gave that to me. I luckily didn't have to wait....Amazing, but if you by a weird incident would potentially have to wait its definitely worth it! :) I will be back ...hopefully later than sooner, lol but if something happens I definitely will, and I will recommend auto express to all!!!!!
