Was notified truck was done, and final bill was around $1,500 almost double the quote. Inspected truck and noticed bumper was sagging about an inch to the left went back in...oh yeah we will fix that. So much for that attention to detail! I should've known after that not to go back to Todd's Auto Body but I'm a slow learner I guess. Truck #2 2015 Ford F250 I had some vinyl pinstripe needing replaced on driver and passenger door. Brought truck into Todd's to show them what needed done, they looked at truck did their inspection and ordered the correct pin stripe. Got the quote for removal of old pin stripe and replace with new, quote $320. Pin stripe arrives and authorization to work is signed. A couple days later i receive a phone call stating pinstripe came off easily, but in the removal process it tore off clear coat and paint... but it's not their fault...it's the paints fault! LOL there was no offer to fix the damage , but they would work me up a quote to pay to fix their fuck up! Also the auto body tech didn't just ruin the paint on one door he continued from driver side front door and the driver side rear door. They didn't think to stop and notify the customer that damage was occurring? Odd I know! Her response was that I knew it had faulty paint, paint surely looked great before! Obviously good enough to spend $1,000 on an exterior detail. Anyhow after a few days of it sitting on their lot, trying to figure out what to do with the situation my wife went to pick up the truck, but they would not release it until the original quote for pinstripe removal and replace was paid... I told my wife we would not be paying them for a job that wasn't completed. After a phone call with the manager and owner I asked if they would be willing to fix their damage that they caused and they denied doing so. I told them I wouldn't be paying them for the labor, so as a COURTESY of the owner or whoever this clown is. They decided to release the truck to my wife if we paid for the vinyl pinstripe. So my truck left Todd's auto body in worse condition than it was brought to the shop in. Quote to fix Todd's auto body's unskilled handy work is $2,400. So now onto the next steps of wasting my time in court to sue these idiots! Below is before and after photos.

Most of the folks working there have been there 20-30 years, which says a lot about the enjoyability of working there, as well as the level of experience you get when you you bring your car to them. Josh and co got the back right panel of my car looking good as new and their skilled painter matched the white paint of the new panel to that of my car, which is really hard to do if you don't know what you're doing. Josh sent me frequent text updates, so I always knew the status of the repair being done and never once felt left in the dark. The repair took a week to the day, and pickup was really smooth and quick. Fingers crossed I'll never have to bring my car back, but if I do, I know my car will be in the hands of experts at Fix Auto.

I chatted with some friends to see where they'd had collision work done, and the first place I called told me it would take months to fix. Another friend mentioned Autobody Specialties, so I decided to give them a try. To my surprise, they said they could get it done in a couple of weeks, depending on shipping. After that, I just confirmed with my insurance company where I was getting the work done, and ten days later, the car was ready. Of course, when I drove, I noticed another part wasn't working right, which I hadn't noticed in the original repairs. But they took it in and replaced the part with one they had in stock in just a few hours. They also updated the repair estimate with my insurance company for no extra cost to me. Overall, I'm really happy with how quickly the repair was done, and the paint job matches the original paint perfectly, which I was worried about because my car is black with a glittery finish. My mother was in an accident a few weeks ago, like 5 cars piled up because the idiot at the end of…read morethe line was likely texting and driving, so she rear ended the person in front of her, and it became a chain reaction. So we needed to have the car repaired. Luckily mom's car didn't sustain much damage because of where she was in the line of cars. Mom originally took the car in for the estimate herself. Now, it's hard to impress a cranky old lady. But they managed to do so here. She took it to two body shops, within a block of each other. She told me she felt welcomed here. They were thorough and honest in their estimate. They were super respectful to her (she can come across as a bitch without meaning to quite often) and i was impressed by that. It's rare she does big things like this on her own due to her age and health problems, so it's pretty impressive when she comes home and says they actually helped me. So we schedule the car to go in, and I take her. It was supposed to be done on Wednesday, late in the day. Mom typically has chemo treatments on Wednesday each week, so we weren't sure if that would get in the way of picking up the car. They said it could be picked up Thursday morning if needed. They gave us a loaner car free of charge, which was very helpful. I wasn't a fan of the loaner car, but like most people, I hate change and anything different. But it was a courtesy they offered, so I really can't complain. They preformed the work, I went to pick up the car late Thursday afternoon. Mom was in the hospital at this point, so they got to deal with my brother and me instead of mom. They were perfectly fine with me keeping the loaner car an entire extra day (it was almost 5 by the time I made it in because of mom being in the hospital), and my brother paying them with a credit card over the phone. I inspected our car before I went in to sign for it. I was very interested in the paint job, if they had blended it appropriately, or if it was obvious it was redone after being in a wreck. I've seen bad paint jobs before where they don't match it, so I was watching for it. I would be the person who makes them do it over until it's right. I looked at it from every possible angle, multiple lights, etc. I couldn't find anything to tell me it was in a wreck. They did a wonderful job. I still look at it and I'm impressed. I check it periodically, thinking I'll see something I missed when I picked it up. Nope, the bumper lines up perfectly, it's paint matched, and beautiful. I can't even find the tiniest reason to complain or nit-pick their work. I subsequently took it in a few days later for a completely unrelated estimate for a paint bubble/chip. The guy I talked to and dealt with (I wish I had paid attention to his name) was great. What really stood out to me was he remembered mom and I from the previous week. He asked if he'd heard correctly that she was doing chemo treatments and how she was doing. I told him a little about her, but this wasn't even something we discussed with him previously. He simply overheard her and I discussing her Wednesday treatment and he remembered it. It's pretty rare someone remembers random stuff like that, or even cares enough to mention it and ask how she's doing. Would I go back here for more work? Absolutely! I honestly can't say enough great things about this place. They treated my mother incredibly well, which is worth 5 stars alone. They worked with us keeping the car an extra day and my brother paying over the phone because mom was in the hospital. The quality of their work is impeccable. I called and chatted with Dan who assured me it wouldn't need much based on Hyundai's published $60K service list. In the end, it was about $110. He checked her brakes and said they were in great shape and definitely didn't need his $450 per axle brake replacement service. She had previously been told her brakes were dangerously bad and needed urgent replacement. Dan could easily have told me her brakes needed replacing and made $450-900. He did not because he's an honest car mechanic. How refreshing!
