This place is awful!!! My car was hit while parked several months back. $1400 repair. The insurance company sent me to this place for repair. My car is currently back with them for the 4th time because the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd times they didn't do it right. The first time they gave it back to me, the window was left completely off the track. That isn't easy to miss. Total incompetence!!! Currently, they are wanting to get me back in my car tomorrow still without knowing the root cause for the window issues still ongoing. They don't know the root cause but they want to call it a day and get me back in my car again. Unreal! The hard thing is that even after the car was hit, the window was working fine. It wasn't until they started working on it that the window started playing up. This time, I've been in a rental car for a week so far. Each time it's a drive to the shop, waiting for the shuttle, shuttle to Enterprise, an hour at Enterprise, then back to work, and repeat on the reverse. Never again....stay away. read more

I have worked with ABE at least 4 times in past 5 years or so, and while little foibles are inevitable, this current experience defined Murphys Law. Although I did not want to require this type of service, Larry and his staff made the experience as quick and as convenient as possible. Larry came highly recommended from my car dealer. You can tell he is very experienced. I was afraid my trunk was never going to be the same after getting rear-ended, but honestly the car was pretty much restored to its previous condition and it's like it never happened! Our car was finished 2 days sooner than estimated. They washed the car before returning it to us, sparkling and good as new. I recently had my car fixed with this body shop. They were recommended by Gieco since I was in an accident (front side damage) and needed my car fixed. October 23rd, I bring my car to get fixed. December 01, my car was "complete". They were paid $4200 for their poor job and took them over a month to get it done. Just the tip of the iceberg. Three weeks later (December 23rd) my car stop running, and my mother-in-law was stuck on the highway. It was towed back to this company, and they stated there was a transmission issue and that the issue had nothing to do with the work they did. The accident was in the front of the car, where the transmission was located. And they "claimed" that the accident that happened the transmission was fine, yet they did not do ANY diagnostic testing to confirm that the transmission was fine when the car first came in. The diagnostic testing came after they were paid $4200 dollars for some poor repair work from them. Not only did they claim that it was no fault of their own they tried to make me pay for the tow to get my car back! Like, I don't have insurance! They tried to bully me via email and told me I can't get my car until I pay $410 CASH. Really???, you don't take credit and you just want cash? Very fishy business with poor work ethic and terrible communication skills. Last email the guy from the company sends me is "sorry, gieco will be paying for the tow." Yea I know buddy, like I told you before! This place has VERY poor service and they will not investigate your car fully before just fixing "what they can see" and send you on your way with a broken car. I blame Gieco too for recommending this company. I mean they are supposed to be the experts in this type of stuff, and they send me to these deceitful people? They will probably respond to this review saying, "oh this was a separate issue"... Don't believe them. They did a poor job with investigating my car initially and they just fixed what they could see was damaged. Any response to my review from this company is loaded with lies. Twenty-five days in a rental car with no Bluetooth, can leave a woman desperate (first world issues). The constant updates and calls from Nadine Grey at ABE was what kept me sane. ABE did a knock out job on my car. They had to replace two fenders, hood, roof repair and windshield/window replacement. Most cars would have been totaled- so I was nervous for the amount of work to be completed, especially being a daughter of a car collector and builder. I took my car to this shop after a hit-and-run because it was recommended my insurance company. In general, they were unbelievably disorganized and unprofessional. Every interaction I had with them involved being made to wait for a long time, having to call back to ask a question more than once, the computers being down, etc... Since one of my tires was damaged, I chose to pay out-of-pocket for the other three new ones. I asked for a price quote, but they purchased the tires without calling me to let me know the price (which of course was very high). I also asked that an additional repair be performed on a crack in the fender, since it was already going to be removed, but when the car was ready to be picked up I found out they had forgotten to do it. When I complained, they ended up doing a quick, superficial patch job that peeled a few days after I got the car back. Since they had had the car almost 3 weeks at that point, I just decided to wait and take the car elsewhere to get it done later at my own additional expense. So I just offered up my credit card to pay my balance and picked up my car. Then, months later while I was away on business, I suddenly started receiving voice mail threats of being sent to collections. This, despite never having received any kind of bill. Apparently they had made an error and forgotten to collect my deductible. I have no problem paying money I owe, but it's hard to pay a bill when it isn't sent to you. It's actually a violation of the Fair Credit Collection Act to threaten or harass someone with legal action based on a misrepresentation. I made sure Auto Body Excellence is now aware of this fact. I don't know what is wrong with the people who run this business, but I would obviously NOT recommend them to anyone. read more

I had a damaged mirror on my car (my own fault - poor eyesight + tight garage at night = crunch). I had it taped in place for about six months because I was dreading the expense and hassle of what I assumed would be a complete replacement of the mirror. But when the tape wore away I finally bit the bullet. I chose Auto Body excellence due to proximity to my house and positive reviews online. I can say from my experience that they did good work. Here is what I liked: 1. They found a used part from another dealer to save me a significant amount of money, after listening to my concerns over expense. 2. They made clear the projected expense and scope of work in a written estimate. 3. The customer service was exceptional, and they got the work done around my schedule constraints. Very courteous staff! 4. At no extra cost they washed my car and removed some surface scratches from my paint that I had been wanting to address for some time. 5. They provided a warranty on the new part. 6. The car/mirror looked like new at the end - you'd never know it had been damaged! From past experiences over the years, I have not found this combination of good customer service, cost savings, and quality work at other similar places. So five stars, great work! read more

I called in to ask a simple question..."do I need an appointment to come get an estimate to have some damage on my car repaired?" The incompetence of the woman Sabrina who answered the phone was alarming. She decided to tell me that because I have insurance that it was against California state law for me to get an estimate unless I go to my insurance company first and provide them with the estimate from my insurance company to go off of...this is not a law. I own an insurance agency and do not appreciate being spoken down to and fed false laws about the insurance. I will be reporting her and this establishment to the department of insurance seeing as how she's giving out false information regarding insurance and insurance laws, and she is actually the one in violation of California state laws by giving out incorrect insurance information as well. 0/10 would not recommend. read more

I had a really good experience at Auto Body Excellence. I honestly chose them initially because they were the preferred body shop for my insurance company and close to home. Now that the repairs are done on my vehicle, I'm really happy that I chose this shop. I never had a problem with customer service from any of the employees - they couldn't have been nicer. John, the adjuster, was super efficient and understanding that I had to wait to repair my car until I had enough money saved to pay my deductible. Great customer service... I was in a minor accident. USAA provided me with a list of preferred collision shops. The tow truck driver knew exactly where Auto Body Excellence was located so that is the shop that I selected. GREAT CHOICE... They could not have done much more in providing top notch customer service. They even give you a choice in your preference for contact method and amount of times (e.g. everyday, only when necessary, etc.). Nadine kept me abreast of status and options. My car was inspected for any and all problems (including preexisting issues). They correctly figured out what caused an unrelated chronic problem and provided a detailed report on correcting the issue. The work that they completed on my car was beautiful... When I went to pick it up yesterday, it felt as if I were driving a brand new car. I can't be more grateful or recommend Auto Body Excellence enough! read more

I had chosen this shop based on 3 things: 1) preferred business of Farmers Insurance 2) location was close to my home and 3) is ranked highly by others in Yelp. It took 2 days for my car to get fixed. Shasta made sure to constantly keep me updated on the status of my car by both email and voice messages. On average I probably received 2-3 emails a day. It is never a bad idea to over communicate! Additionally, they went out of their way to polish my husband's car and remove a handful of dents FOR FREE! Let me start by saying we have taken our cars here for many years and experienced great service. But, this last time leaves us doubting if we will ever be using this shop again. We took our car for an estimate on October 1st, and decided to file a claim with our insurance company that day. What normally would take about 3 days, ended up taking 4 weeks. Our estimator was Albert. Apparently he is new and didn't facilitate the paperwork correctly to the insurance company. Although each blamed each other. I have no reason to doubt the insurance company since we have dealt with them and they kept us informed. The auto body shop did not! Now, we picked up our car on the 13th, but only after I called. Never did we get a call from them. The auto body shop has yet to inform our insurance co, so they assumed we still had our car in the shop and we still had our car rental. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! This never happened when Nadine was there. So even though our car was repaired satisfactory, the customer service needs serious help. John, the general manager, seemed to care less and seemed arrogant in his response. read more
