We stayed here at the Austria Haus while skiing at Vail for the weekend and really enjoyed our visit. The rooms and beds were nice and cozy with a fireplace and great views of the surrounding mountains. Austria Haus is located in Vail Village near Gore Creek and walking distance to Gondola One. This hotel has a nice European charm to it with great customer service. Some of the amenities I enjoyed were the continental breakfast, heated pool, hot tub, gym, in-room coffee, local newspaper, and the yummy cookies in the lobby. The breakfast is buffet style and pretty amazing. I had waffles, eggs, cheese, bacon with fruit, coffee and juice. The dining area was nice and spacious. If you want to dine out or go for a stroll, all the shops and restaurants in Vail Village are close by. For parking, you can either park in the nearby pubic parking or pay valet. No matter what you decide to do, plan on paying a pretty penny to park here. But other than that, everything was great and I would definitely stay here again.

A European-style boutique hotel in Vail, Colorado, with snow on the roof and ground, surrounded by trees and mountains, featuring a paved parking area.

We enjoyed our stay at the Austria Haus - convenient location, decently priced and friendly people.

Incredible stay in the heart of Vail Village. Five minutes from the Vail Gondola and walking distance to anything you need! The staff was very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. We plan to come back soon!

It feels like a calm, private sort of place. My family of 3 (hubby me and baby age 1) felt welcomed and relaxed while staying here. Breakfast tends to be the same variety of options plus one new thing( one day it was grapefruit another day it was veggie egg bites and bacon) . Staples are bagels, breads, waffles, boiled egg, charcuterie meats and cheeses, juices, mills, yogurts and cereals. The view is incredible from the dining area. There's a library with books and games. A small workout area. Teas and coffees offered 24/7. They valet your car and ski equipment. Kind and attentive staff who really ensure you have a positive stay! We love our room, great design and well cleaned. The heated floors are a game changer during our stay in the cold winter. I used Groupon to purchase our reservation, would do it all over again! Valet parking $50 or 55/night and resort fee $55/night that you pay when you check in.

European vibe facade...

We stayed for 2 nights during our spring break and what a great, cute, European vibe hotel this is! Right in Vail Village with easy walks to all restaurants, trails, attractions, bus stops, shops etc! Staff very accommodating and friendly... welcome and afternoon cookies were a treat! My kids love them! Included Breakfast is a good addition to our stay... would love to come back here!

Wonderful stay in a gorgeous 3 bed, 3 bath condo in the heart of Vail village. Pros: European style breakfast each morning. When staying for a week, it would be nice if they mixed up the selections a few more times. Meats, cheeses, boiled eggs, waffles and toast selections. One day we had an omelet bar!! But just one day. The rooms are gorgeous, old style Austrian. Hotel staff is super friendly and professional! Free valet parking from 6 am-11pm! Be sure to tip! Cons: Here's the only issue I had while staying here, and unfortunately there is absolutely nothing the gracious staff can do about it. At night, the outside area behind the hotel, and near the beautiful wooden bridge, becomes a haven hangout for college students and millennials who get $@#! faced and decide to yell obscenities while parading around drunk. I know, I know...I'm not "that" old but while I'm trying to sleep at 2 am and it's still going on, it becomes a major, MAJOR pain night after night!! This is unfortunate since you have to have your sliding doors open at night to get any breeze as I'm not even certain they have AC. You don't really need AC down in the valley! I wish they had some kind of noise or public drunkenness ordinance for the sake of us "old" people but I don't think there is. If you can tolerate this, you'll still love it here!

Gorgeous!

What a magical experience! We absolutely loved our stay here. The room was spacious with our own little balcony and fireplace. It was so romantic and relaxing. The bed was super comfortable. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. The hot tub was wonderful and perfect for enjoying the chilly winter night. Complimentary breakfast served everyday was fantastic, location can't be beat. We will 100% return and will make this our new winter trip!

This hotel is extremely well rounded in every aspect. From the time we walked into the front lobby, all 3 employees were extremely helpful and friendly. That set off the proper mood for a great stay. We proceeded to our room and found a very spacious room with sitting area, fireplace, and large bathroom. Everything about this room was top notch. The breakfast spread is outstanding. Room service are just as friendly as the front desk staff. We were scheduled to stay 1 day and ended up staying 3 days. We will make this hotel a priority when staying in Vail. Can't beat the location either, everything is at your door step. Thanks Austria Haus for making our stay extremely enjoyable.

We especially loved the spa and the complimentary tea service, which was such a nice touch. The front desk associate who checked us in was very kind and welcoming, and the concierge was extremely helpful and friendly, which made our arrival and stay feel very smooth and stress-free. A few small notes about the room: even though it was very cold outside, the room stayed quite warm at night and we ended up sleeping with the door cracked every evening. The vanity plug-in mirror in our room didn't work, and on the first night we placed the "no maid service" sign on the door, but housekeeping still entered and cleaned the room while we were out. Dining and service were overall great. At Bully Ranch, the hostess wasn't the friendliest, but our server was wonderful and made up for it. The staff at The King's Club were fantastic -- our waitress was from Costa Rica and was absolutely lovely. The German mulled hot wine was delicious, and her recommendation of the Tequila Mockingbird was excellent. I was hoping for a true chai latte, but the one at Trefe Café tasted more like warm milk with cinnamon rather than a traditional chai. On the positive side, the valet and room service staff were amazing, and the spa team was incredibly kind and welcoming -- they truly made the experience special. Overall, a beautiful hotel with great amenities, a perfect location, and mostly excellent service. Just a few small details to improve, but we had a very enjoyable stay.

After the massage, I sat by the fire and enjoyed the peace and quiet. I stayed until about 2pm enjoying all of the spa amenities. They provide fruit infused water and teas. There is also an oxygen bar available for an additional cost. They do allow children under the age of 16, with adult supervision. There were a few kids in the pool so it's not an adult only area which is the only downfall.

There is a shuttle to and from the Arabelle where you have a very short walk to the lift. There are different types of rooms in the hotel. Some are managed by Marriott and others by property managers. We booked a two bedroom unit through booking.com. I assumed it was through Marriott but we were in a Vail Resorts managed unit. The place was nice. Plenty of space for our group of 4 to spread out. The 3 full bathrooms in the unit were nice. Good kitchen with a good ice maker. Also, great wifi. Very comfortable bed. Steam shower in the master bedroom. Cookies in the evenings in the lobby. Super nice staff! Why doesn't this place get the 5th star? Well, I think it could be a bit clearer with who manages what. When I checked in I asked to put my bonvoy number on the reservation. Nope, can't do that unless you book a Marriott room. Also, no daily housekeeping. Not a huge deal but would have been nice. Also, $50 or $55 a night, I can't remember, to park your car. That's outrageous in my opinion. Hot tubs didn't seem to be at 104.

My recent stay at Tivoli Lodge in Vail was unacceptable and far below the standards one expects from a property of this reputation and location. We checked in after a winter storm and were assigned room 403 on the fourth floor. The room was freezing, with a heating unit that did not function properly. After contacting the front desk, maintenance briefly attended to the issue, but the problem was not resolved. During the first night, the heat became excessive and uncontrollable. With a new and inexperienced front desk attendant on duty, and the likelihood that no maintenance staff would be available, we were forced to open the balcony door in winter conditions simply to make the room tolerable. During that same night, water began dripping/leaking from the ceiling. The following day, after returning from breakfast, the room had again become excessively hot. The thermostat still did not function. Maintenance was sent once more and noted they repaired it, but within minutes, significant water dripping leakage developed not just a minor drip, but a steady and concerning flow from the ceiling and wall framing in both the entry and bathroom areas. Our carpets were drenched our sock wet At that point, we had no choice but to demand a room change and were moved to room 405, , which was a much larger and nicer room. While the heating system there functioned properly, it still presented issues, including a broken closet handle another clear sign of poor upkeep. What made the situation worse was how it was handled. Housekeeping staff pressured us by their immediate presence to vacate quickly so the room could be reset, despite the hotel being nearly empty. This was unnecessary and inconsiderate. Shortly thereafter, a staff member returned and knocked aggressively on our door over a forgotten item. The manner was inappropriate and unprofessional. Although there were moments of professionalism particularly a mature front desk associate with a Caribbean accent who was pleasant, friendly, and helpful I would also like to recognize her more fully. She stood out as someone who was genuinely trying her best to be kind, attentive, and helpful under difficult circumstances. Her demeanor, patience, and willingness to assist were appreciated and reflected the level of service the hotel should consistently strive to provide. Unfortunately, the overall experience still reflected a lack of coordination, training, and accountability. In contrast, a late evening desk clerk was unable to provide even basic assistance in locating open dining options, citing unfamiliarity with the area. I understand that between-season periods can present operational challenges. However, if the resort is open, it should be fully prepared to serve and satisfy the guests it chooses to accommodate especially when occupancy is so low. We did not create these problems the hotel did. Yet at no point did we receive a strong or meaningful apology, nor any gesture to help ameliorate the situation. Both are not only appropriate but expected under these circumstances. As a result of these ongoing issues, we made the decision to leave on Thursday instead of Friday, as we felt it was simply not worth extending our stay to the schedule day. This only compounded our disappointment it was a choice we made based on our experience. I would also strongly suggest that management exercise better judgment when the hotel is operating at very low occupancy. In such circumstances, guests should be proactively upgraded to the best available rooms rather than being assigned rooms with known or even obvious deficiencies. This experience reflects poorly on the management of Tivoli Lodge. A property that is largely empty has no excuse for assigning a defective room, failing to resolve repeated maintenance issues, and handling guest disruptions so poorly. Tivoli Lodge is a beautiful property with a great location, but this was a sad and disappointing experience. PD ...I would also like to note a truly positive experience during our stay at The Little Diner, a Vail institution well known for its accolades in both service and quality of food, delivered an outstanding breakfast experience. His professionalism, warmth, and attentiveness were exceptional and stood in sharp contrast to the challenges we encountered at the hotel. Jose Pienknagura 602-321-2004 Josepienknagura@gmail.com

Here, I had to go to an owners portal (I'm not even an owner.... Just booked it direct on the Marriott website) and fill out a bunch of information about the guest, including their email address and address. It took them a long time to process, and I wasn't sure if the second person was going to end up having issues checking in. I was a little confused as to where to pick up the shuttle though at the hotel. We chose this hotel for its location over newer and less expensive options, only to be met with a room that was outdated, dirty, and poorly maintained. Room Conditions: * Stained carpets and walls * Damaged headboard and cracked bathroom tiles * Moldy, peeling wallpaper and a musty, moldy smell in the bathroom * Dirty towels, scratched lamps, toothpaste spatter on the mirror, and stained sink and counters * A broken deadbolt on the door Service: The service was equally disappointing. At check-in, I immediately reported the room's condition, but the front desk staff refused to assist, telling me to speak to a manager the next morning. Over the next two days, I spoke with several staff members, including those claiming to be managers, yet nothing was resolved.
