Old, dirty shower with no water pressure.

I want to begin this review by stating that I have only written good reviews in the past. However, this experience has made me think that reviews should be honest. We rented four units. A 4 bedroom and 2 -1 bedroom units. The four bedroom was beautiful. Updated and clean. Unfortunately, We were given a 2 bedroom unit 505. It's was worse than any motel. Super small, old, worn furniture and no decent kitchen equipment. The super small bathroom had a tub with a patched hole in the bottom of it. It looked like feces. Old bathroom fixtures with a slow drip with no pressure for showers. The bedroom had a king size bed ... however, there was less than 10" between the wall and both sides of the bed. A baseboard heater ran around the room making the 10" more like 6" to try to crawl in bed. We called to find a different unit, only to be told they are all rented. We called 4 times to get a humidifier with no avail. I would never recommend this hotel. I would give 0 stars for this atrocity that we were rented.

Let me start off by saying I love this hotel so much that I'm writing a review while I'm still here!! The staff is great! The reservation process: We called them directly due to having a pet (but you can always book online). I found that they were having a deal online that wasn't mentioned on the phone and when I brought it up, they were more than willing to give me the same price! The reservation process went so smoothly and my absolute favorite thing is that they have all the rooms pictures on their website. They gave us our room number and we were able to view the exact room before arriving!! They have the cheapest pet fee in town (I think), $25/night, and parking was FREE for one car! Some places charge over $50/night for parking which can really add up. There's no hidden fees with the price they give you, which I appreciate a lot! The stay: Check in was pretty easy. Great COVID19 precautions were taken and front desk was super nice. Parking garage is a bit small so I would watch out for that. The lobby is what I dream my living room to be in the future. They gave step by step instructions on how to go to the garage-elevator-room. When we arrived to the room, our TV wasn't working and when we called front desk, they came so fast and helped fixed it (we kept our distance of course bcuz COVID). The next morning, our first floor bathroom locked by itself and when everyone left the room, maintenance came and unlocked it for us!! I even got a text from the front desk, Chris, about free ice cream coupons!!! I haven't picked them up yet but I will before check out for sure lol. We checked out a couple free bikes that the hotel offered which saved us money from renting one outside. The room is a great size and the view of the mountains makes waking up early worth it! It has a fully equipped kitchen which is great for making our own meals. Overall this hotel is perfect and I'm already planning on staying here again next time I come back. Staff is super nice and there's also a dog name Piper at the front sometimes!!! If anything happens (which I doubt will), I will update this review. Other than that, I would highly recommend this place.

The view from Antlers at Vail

The Antlers at Vail has three things going for it: location, location, location. Just a hop, skip and a jump from the Vail Gondola, you can be out your front door and hitting the slopes in a matter of minutes, without ever having to get in a car or on a bus. When Mama Q, Little Q and I were in Vail for Taste of Vail (http://tasteofvail.com) a multi-day wine and food festival that also includes multiple fundraising auctions, we got to stay in a one-bedroom condo at the Antlers. Each condo is independently owned, and - key word here - decorated. Our condo was so over-the-top Western that it was unintentionally kitsch. But that's Vail, baby! And if you haven't been, be sure to bring your ten gallon hat and wool-lined denim coat. Pack an extra bag if you must, for these two items, combined with Uggs, seemed to be uniform in the shopping district of Vail. Ah, but I digress. Our condo came equipped with everything we needed: a fully equipped kitchen, towels, blankets, the whole nine yards. The gas-powered fireplace was sweet, and the views killer. The walls are thick, and there was little sound passing from room to room. Important to note in a ski town where some people are partying until the time our son gets up in the morning. There are no internal hallways at the Antlers. Your front door opens up on an outdoor balcony and walkway that leads to interior stairs or an elevator. They keep the walkways cleared, but it is still radically cold as soon as you step outside your front door. There is a hot-tub. The front desk has DVDs you can check out to watch in your room. There is free internet access, but it is hard-wired. If you no longer travel with a CAT-5 cable they will loan you one at the front desk. There is no restaurant at the Antlers, but it is next door to the Marriott, which has a decent restaurant for emergency needs. Most importantly: Vail has a great free public transit system. Catch a shuttle from Denver airport and you won't need a car the whole time you are there. You can catch a bus into town to shop, eat, or hit a market and bring stuff home to cook in your condo. An important option if you are on a budget.

Room 301 - beat up chair, ugly carpet

We were in room 301 and it was incredibly out of date 2 bedroom/2 bath unit with 2 queen beds, or maybe 1 queen and 1 king. We complained to the front desk about the condition of the unit not being like pictures we had seen online and on the first request, the GM didn't do anything but on the second request he gave us an extra 1 bedroom that looked much nicer. So kudos to him for that. The 1 bedroom, 311, was decorated very nicely but the bedroom with a queen bed was so so so small. You literally had to contort your body to get to the other side of the bed. That condo also had a tiny bedroom with 2 bunk beds so technically I guess it's a 2 bedroom but each room definitely only counts as half a room. In addition, this place gets 5 stars for the cleaning staff. They did an impeccable job - even washed your dishes for you! The ski valet located in the building was a really nice feature, but one morning while putting my boots on I saw the guys running around trying to find skis they had lost - not a good sign! However, we didn't have any problems and I loved not having to carry my skis the 5 to 7 minute walk to the Gondola. While going to the hot tub, a girl we know got stuck in the elevator so she was freezing and she said it took a while to get out - definitely avoid the elevators if you stay here. Antlers said they guarantee one spot per unit and while we didn't have a car, one of our friends was going to meet us on a random Tuesday and the front desk woman said we couldn't have a parking spot because they were full. I took the sheet down to her that says they guarantee a spot for each condo and she grumpily made arrangements for us. Antlers was filled with MBA students that week who all took a shuttle so I can't imagine they ever have enough spots. Vail has two main villages, I believe. Vail Village is toward the middle of the mountain and was better located for skiing because from Lions Head, you really have to ski all the way to the left side of the mountain and all the way back, which takes a while. Moral of the story - only stay here if it's significantly cheaper than the better competition (Lions Head Square was very nice) or if you can be guaranteed an renovated unit.

I was fortunate to spend the night in one of the 1 bedroom condos and I must say, it was very well worth it. The room was beautifully decorated, and I even enjoyed the fireplace as the night got well into the 40s, even in early June! The pool area was very tidy and well maintained. The staff were very nice and recommended a good restaurant in Vail Village for dinner. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Antlers and will definitely stay here again the next time I am in Vail.

After stopping at several locations along the way, we finally arrived at The Ritz-Carlton Club, Vail, and from the moment you pull in, you immediately understand why this place is special. As soon as you arrive, the valet staff greets you right away. The Ritz truly offers full-service hospitality. You simply take any personal items you want with you and head inside to check in while they handle everything else. They unload all of your luggage, neatly place any loose items into a nice bag, park your vehicle, and once they see you've made it to your room, your luggage is delivered shortly after. Walking through the front doors, there is a table set up with hand lotion, several different SPF sunscreens, hand sanitizer, and baskets of washcloths for guests returning from outside activities -- a very thoughtful touch. Check-in was quick and effortless. The staff explained the amenities, where everything was located, and then off to our room we went. We stayed in a two-bedroom unit, and when we opened the door we were immediately impressed. The decor was beautiful and upscale without feeling overdone. The entryway included a half bath, followed by a dining area and small bar setup. The kitchen featured Bosch and Breville appliances, which added to the luxury feel. The living room had a sofa bed, comfortable seating, and a large tv over the fireplace that made the room feel very cozy and a balcony looking at the slops. Both bedrooms were nearly identical and absolutely stunning, each with: a huge king bed, a large bathroom, heated floors, a separate shower and Jacuzzi tub, and double sinks. One of the bedrooms also had a balcony. Every evening starting around 4 p.m., the resort hosts different socials including cookies, wine tastings, and later bourbon tastings. It really added to the overall experience and made the property feel even more welcoming and luxurious. There is honestly so much more I could say about this property, but overall we absolutely loved our stay. If you are looking for one of the best places to stay in Vail, this is it.

There is a shuttle to and from the Arabelle where you have a very short walk to the lift. There's also a tent there where you check your skis and poles so you don't have to schlep them back to the hotel. The shuttle takes all of 90 seconds. Wonderful friendly staff and valet parking - free for the first car. Highly recommended!

My recent stay at Tivoli Lodge in Vail was unacceptable and far below the standards one expects from a property of this reputation and location. We checked in after a winter storm and were assigned room 403 on the fourth floor. The room was freezing, with a heating unit that did not function properly. After contacting the front desk, maintenance briefly attended to the issue, but the problem was not resolved. During the first night, the heat became excessive and uncontrollable. With a new and inexperienced front desk attendant on duty, and the likelihood that no maintenance staff would be available, we were forced to open the balcony door in winter conditions simply to make the room tolerable. During that same night, water began dripping/leaking from the ceiling. The following day, after returning from breakfast, the room had again become excessively hot. The thermostat still did not function. Maintenance was sent once more and noted they repaired it, but within minutes, significant water dripping leakage developed not just a minor drip, but a steady and concerning flow from the ceiling and wall framing in both the entry and bathroom areas. Our carpets were drenched our sock wet At that point, we had no choice but to demand a room change and were moved to room 405, , which was a much larger and nicer room. While the heating system there functioned properly, it still presented issues, including a broken closet handle another clear sign of poor upkeep. What made the situation worse was how it was handled. Housekeeping staff pressured us by their immediate presence to vacate quickly so the room could be reset, despite the hotel being nearly empty. This was unnecessary and inconsiderate. Shortly thereafter, a staff member returned and knocked aggressively on our door over a forgotten item. The manner was inappropriate and unprofessional. Although there were moments of professionalism particularly a mature front desk associate with a Caribbean accent who was pleasant, friendly, and helpful I would also like to recognize her more fully. She stood out as someone who was genuinely trying her best to be kind, attentive, and helpful under difficult circumstances. Her demeanor, patience, and willingness to assist were appreciated and reflected the level of service the hotel should consistently strive to provide. Unfortunately, the overall experience still reflected a lack of coordination, training, and accountability. In contrast, a late evening desk clerk was unable to provide even basic assistance in locating open dining options, citing unfamiliarity with the area. I understand that between-season periods can present operational challenges. However, if the resort is open, it should be fully prepared to serve and satisfy the guests it chooses to accommodate especially when occupancy is so low. We did not create these problems the hotel did. Yet at no point did we receive a strong or meaningful apology, nor any gesture to help ameliorate the situation. Both are not only appropriate but expected under these circumstances. As a result of these ongoing issues, we made the decision to leave on Thursday instead of Friday, as we felt it was simply not worth extending our stay to the schedule day. This only compounded our disappointment it was a choice we made based on our experience. I would also strongly suggest that management exercise better judgment when the hotel is operating at very low occupancy. In such circumstances, guests should be proactively upgraded to the best available rooms rather than being assigned rooms with known or even obvious deficiencies. This experience reflects poorly on the management of Tivoli Lodge. A property that is largely empty has no excuse for assigning a defective room, failing to resolve repeated maintenance issues, and handling guest disruptions so poorly. Tivoli Lodge is a beautiful property with a great location, but this was a sad and disappointing experience. PD ...I would also like to note a truly positive experience during our stay at The Little Diner, a Vail institution well known for its accolades in both service and quality of food, delivered an outstanding breakfast experience. His professionalism, warmth, and attentiveness were exceptional and stood in sharp contrast to the challenges we encountered at the hotel. Jose Pienknagura 602-321-2004 Josepienknagura@gmail.com

The hotel's listing claimed "luxurious mountain retreat", "elevated experience, "recent renovations" and showed beautiful photos, but my experience was nothing like what was advertised. We booked a 5-night stay for New Year's week to celebrate my birthday, paying $10,000 during peak pricing. We chose this hotel for its location over newer and less expensive options, only to be met with a room that was outdated, dirty, and poorly maintained. Room Conditions: * Stained carpets and walls * Damaged headboard and cracked bathroom tiles * Moldy, peeling wallpaper and a musty, moldy smell in the bathroom * Dirty towels, scratched lamps, toothpaste spatter on the mirror, and stained sink and counters * A broken deadbolt on the door Service: The service was equally disappointing. At check-in, I immediately reported the room's condition, but the front desk staff refused to assist, telling me to speak to a manager the next morning. Over the next two days, I spoke with several staff members, including those claiming to be managers, yet nothing was resolved. I was told no other rooms were available, and they could not do anything. I asked to check out early and cancel my remaining days of my prepaid stay. They did agree but I am still waiting for refund. One manager, Bryanna, was especially rude and dismissive, showing no willingness to help. The staff seemed inexperienced and untrained, which I later learned was due to new management. Final Thoughts: This stay has been a nightmare. I've wasted days of my trip trying to resolve these issues with the hotel and Expedia, and I am still waiting for a refund for the unused nights. On top of that, the bed and pillows were extremely uncomfortable, with no alternatives offered. This hotel is overpriced, poorly managed, and far from the luxury experience it advertises. Avoid it at all costs--it's not worth the money, the frustration, or the disappointment.
