Everyone was so kind, professional, and helpful throughout my stay. The room was great, though a bit dated. The fireplace was a nice touch. I learned later that my room didn't have heated bathroom floors but thankfully I survived without it lol. The biggest issue was the internet in the room. It absolutely sucked. The connection on Floor 1A, where the workspace is located was perfect. If you're here on a business trip and need reliable internet in your room, that's something to keep in mind. The amenities are probably one of the biggest draws here. They have a wet sauna, dry sauna, outdoor hot tubs, a salt room, cold plunges, and a large gym. Unfortunately, I didn't get to use any of them since I was here for work but I'd definitely take advantage of them on a personal trip. The facilities open at 6am. The location is also convenient, within walking distance of the village, hiking trails, and Ford Park. Overall, the staff were excellent, the room was comfortable, and the amenities looked great. Fix the room Wi-Fi and update the rooms a bit, and this would be an even better place to stay. I'd consider coming back for a personal trip to actually enjoy the amenities. read more

Super expensive for a one night stay but it is Vail after all. The rooms were good size but outdated for the price. We stayed in a King size room with the fireplace and it was around $360 a night. The water pressure in the bathroom was terrible but the bed was pretty comfortable. You're basically paying the high price for amenities such as the gym, saunas (dry and steam), cold plunge, two outside hot tubs and a salt room that's pretty pathetic. They do offer spa services for extra and their Slope room restaurant is expensive. $130 for a Bison ribeye. The hotel DOES NOT offer parking so you have to pay for parking across the street that's $60 a day! This place is basically for skiers and people looking for a getaway. There's many shops and eateries around but they are also super expensive. Pretty much your typical touristy ski town that caters to people with money. Also we went towards the end of November and they basically had no snow so ski runs were limited. read more

I came to Gavity Haus a while back and decided to return based on the friendly people working here. Unfortunately I was disappointed to see how unfriendly Taylor was. She was offensive to my family and I when we asked to have our luggage stored while we walked around. She told us she didn't like that she had to "touch our shoes" -- who in hospitality says something like that? If that's the case please ask us to move our items around before accepting them and do not place them on our jackets, face down. The restaurant also could use some cleaning and the rooms are a bit dated. Bathrooms are a bit old and the water pressure is non existent. There are so many options in Vail and this one definitely missed the mark. Hopefully they can train their staff to all be friendly. read more

Our ski group came to Gravity Haus for happy hour and socializing after a day at Vail. The food and beverages were good- the staff at the bar was very friendly and accommodating for all palates and tastes. One minor knock- one of the servers was a bit hasty in rushing us to place our orders; I guess they had to turn around for dinner service? It wasn't completely clear to our group... so I felt bad that some folks had to order within minutes of sitting down. Tomato soup and grilled cheese was a big hit- get it! Spa and soaking rooms were nice- I like the salt room, but wish there was at least 1 indoor hot tub. read more

This was the worst experience of a stay I've ever had. We had an experience with the front desk person named Taylor who couldn't be more rude if she tried. She was rude at every opportunity she had. We had two shoes in the tote bag they have in the rooms. I asked if they charged if we took them and she said yes but didn't know how much. I said no problem I'm leaving out our stuff at the lobby for a little bit and then when we get the car we could transfer everything in there. Taylor responded by saying "well you already have your shoes in the bag" indicating that wasn't allowed which is funny. I took the shoes out and left them with our bags and car seat. When we came back she brought half our stuff and had our shoes with the soles in the car seat on top of our jackets. When I said wow I didn't want to put them on my expensive jacket, instead of saying I'm sorry which would have been the end of it, she said "well I had to touch your shoes"!! Then continued to argue her point. This is in addition to our rooms water pressure in shower and sink being so slow that it took 3-4 minutes for my short hair to get wet. We were actually thinking of becoming members here but that will not happen nor will any of our family who also stay at least once a year there. If you enjoy being reprimanded by front desk people you should definitely stay here and ask for Taylor to help you. read more

Full disclosure- I don't live in CO, I was visiting my brother and his family. He got a room here for us and his 3 kids since the two older ones had ski training/instruction from 9-3 on Saturday. So we got here on Friday night and we had a room on the first floor. One room had the king size bed, the other room had a huge double bunk bed (all set up on the same frame, each with their own individual light). Can sleep up to 6 people here easily. We had dinner elsewhere and came here towards the end of the night right before bedtime for the kids. They were enjoying watching television, and the setup of the room was perfect for all of them to sleep together. Two full baths as well in the rooms. They have some complimentary snacks (trail mix, gummy bears) that were sitting on the counter when we arrived, which was a really nice touch. Also had reusable water bottle (looked to be almost a liter) which is the same type of bottle they use in the restaurants. No wasted packaging, and no additional cost for filtered tap water. Really fantastic service, and we were greeted by the staff so nicely. So nice to the kids also, which was cool to see. LOTS of groups staying here, all trying to take advantage of the early ski season. It is very close to Gondola 1. The mountain was only about 10-15% open, but it was plenty busy. If I had any feedback, the walls are not so thick. You can hear people in the room next to you, and also when groups are coming in later in the evening (after a few drinks) you can definitely hear them as they make their way to their room. Woke up each time someone came by, which wasn't great. All in all, the accommodations were excellent. They have a lounge area when you walk in, so that you can sit and warm up from the cold. My brother told me that the gym used to be the Vail Athletic Club, so it is superb. They also are setting up a business area so that you can work if you are so inclined. Really, this is a top level boutique hotel. Minus the lack of sound proofing, I was impressed with the layout of the room to maximize people staying in season, and also the small touches that they had. The showers had shampoo/conditioner/shower gel installed in them- the scent was grapefruit and it was invigorating. Nice touch when you are getting ready for the day. Next time I plan on taking advantage of the amenities and maybe will indulge in some beverages and may get back on the skiing train since I haven't been on the slopes in almost 20 years....and especially not in the Rockies. read more

NOT HAPPY: We were promised one room and one price per night ($890/night) and then given another room at a more expensive price $2500. +- only because they could not provide that room beyond one day and the only other room was a condo. Ski season holiday. When I asked for a reasonable for their mistake, they were argumentative. I felt the management was not honest and would not recommend anyone staying there. In addition they charged $80 per day per vehicle for parking which is outrageous and that was never communicated to us. read more

CAUTION!! THIS GYM IS A JOKE!! I've been working out in many different gyms all over the world and Gravity Haus Vail has been one of the worst experiences I've ever had. This extremely small, severely over priced gym usually contains people and staff with ZERO gym educate. I was one of the only people who wiped down equipment after use . Plates and free weights were racked and just tossed in random locations. There's hours and hours per day where you can walk into this place and find several people just sitting on equipment or taking mirror photos and dont even think about using the bathroom mid set because some one will "step in" and proceed to move into your area . I was 8 reps into my second set of Incline flys when some random dude thought it'd be ok to start standing and flexing maybe a foot behind my head. Amongst many countless issues I experienced while working out in this joke of a gym they would also double charge my account , then proceed to "accidentally" send me email warnings that my account was past due/ getting sent to collections. I've tried to cancel my account but if you sign up for membership here you either have to pay for 12 months or you can transfer your membership to someone else for free. Which I wouldn't do because this place sucks. Don't waste your time here, Avon Rec center is 15-20 mins away, a quarter of the price and 4 times the size. read more

Horrible service at the restaurant. I came with a group and sat off to the side with one other person. The waiter (dirty blond hair with a beard) ignored me for over 15 minutes -- literally meeting my eyes and looking away. I then decided to go to the bar to order and sat for several more minutes and was continuously ignored. When my (male) friend came right up next to me to order more drinks that same waiter looked right at him and took his order. He later over charged the group and was very rude without looking into the issue. Not sure what his deal was but I have a melanated idea. Plenty of other establishments in Vail to visit where service is much better. read more

We needed a room last minute and VML was the most reasonably priced. This place is AWESOME. Our room was clean and cozy (it even had a fireplace). The valet was very attentive and they even let us leave our car in their garage while we skiied (even though we had checked out). Complimentary breakfast is a no-brainer. You get more bang for your buck at VML and we will probably stay here every time we are in Vail. read more

I just returned from a 5 day stay at Gravity Haus. Yes, there were renovations under way, but the staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating. The hotel was beautiful and my room was fabulous. The location to the rest of Vail Village can not be beat. Having a coffee shop and fitness facility on property made my stay close to perfect. Just looking to see when I can head back to Vail again, and I will be booking with Gravity Haus again. read more

GH Vail has been such a great experience! They have done an amazing remodel and everyone who works there is so nice, professional and welcoming. All of their amenities are all convenient. In the winter months you can workout, work, ski and hot tub all in the same day. The summer time rentals look great (excited to use) and they keep coming out with great member events. The yoga teachers and massage therapists have all been phenomenal. The slope room is one of our favorite restaurants. They take great care of their members! read more

I'll start with the situation. We've been going to Vail for years and stayed at many hotels/motels in the area. We booked over the phone two rooms that was supposed to be adjoining with separate beds/baths over the holiday. Somehow the room was booked as a single. When we arrived the accommodation could not work for the people we had. Oddly there was another room booked for Xmas day for unclear reasons. They were able to put us up in another room for I think 1400 bucks for the night (since this was their error, we were told this would be included in the total stay at no additional cost). Following this night, the only available room was a suite that would cost a grand total of around 3300k per night, way more than we expected to spend, but we begrudgingly said ok. The new rooms fireplace didn't work, the couch was ripped, there was a broken wine glass below my bed that my dog scratched himself on (which after cleaning up, could have been much worse had he gotten a larger shard), a wine stain on the floor next to our bed presumably from the glass that was broken, shower was intermittently cold and the hot tub broken on our third night, just to mention a few things. We were also told parking would be included for 2 vans that we had told them we needed to park, and only after extensive discussion did they hold up on this agreement. We were able to enjoy the skiing and the holiday despite the above and we checked out. The following day we were charged an additional 1400 bucks for the first nights stay. We called and they refused to refund this. As far as I'm concerned, we fought for every single thing to stay at this place and WE ended up paying way more for THEIR ERRORS. Such a frustrating situation, I wanted to like this place, but I wouldn't stay there again given all of the above. Now the good: 1- people were nice 2- room was large and beds were comfortable 3- when working, hot tub was pretty 4- sauna/steam room were nice 5- cookies were good 6- dog friendly That's all I have to say about that terrible situation. Very disappointed. Would caution you on staying there. read more

This is an excellent hotel- we were thrilled to find an affordable hotel during Vail Restaurant Week in such a great location. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The room (even the least expensive room) was really beautiful, large, with a comfortable bed, big bathroom, good amenities, with a refrigerator and free bottled water, and good TV options. The complimentary breakfast was amazing- we really enjoyed it- much better than your typical hotel breakfast. We didn't use the spa or workout room but they looked surprisingly nice. Came for a long weekend in February and I hope to return. Everything was wonderful. Great location at the end of Vail Village. Room was large, cozy, clean and quiet. HVAC system was great but the free wifi was weak. The spa and gym (Vitality Center) were beyond anything I could have wanted - and I've visited some very nice spas. This one was top notch - newly redone, gorgeous design, and all the staff and services were incredible. I did a guided snowshoe with Ellen, the first American woman to climb Mt Everest from both sides. Ahem. That's some pretty impressive staffing. Hotel and restaurant staff were also great and the food fantastic. They could invest in a cart/table for room service. Breakfast at Terra Bistro is included and the 5-6p happy hour with half priced apps is a total bargain in this fancy town with resort pricing. read more

I was stuck in a bad situation and Vail Mt Lodge came to my rescue! No joke! My boyfriend was driving me home from Aspen to Denver, the roads were pretty bad on I-70, we didn't think it was gonna be that bad, but it was. The scary part was, we were in a rental car with only front wheel drive so we were at risk of sliding off the road, crashing or getting stuck somewhere or all of the above. We decided to stop and stay overnight in Vail before Vail pass, best decision since they closed Vail pass right after we turned off the road! We needed a place to stay so we found Vail Mt Lodge and it was fantastic! Micah was there to check us in. He was super friendly and welcoming. He told us free breakfast was included in the rate, which was a great value already. The rooms were quite nice, updated mountain chic. Fireplace gave it a luxurious touch. The beds were super comfortable king size. The common spaces were all modern mountain design with leather and wood finishes and spotless! Looks like it was recently fully renovated. Chris was there the next morning, he was so nice and friendly. He noted I had a lot of stuff with me, and actually drove me in the hotel shuttle to where I needed to get to in town. A++++ will definitely stay there again!! read more

I think it's a great place and the staff are just wonderful! The lodge is convenient to all the skiing and ski school. There is no shuttle which is $56 on the Colorado Mountain Express which can take FOREVER if you have 11 people in your car like I did, or you can take a cab for $156. It's not an easy place to get to and not affordable by any stretch. read more

We stayed here for a little over week after I had knee surgery at the Steadman Clinic. They were incredibly kind and accommodating! We requested an extra fridge for our room and they did so! Which helped out incredibly. The beds and pillows were just the comfiest!! And the cleaning staff was AMAZING! We came in one day and they were scrubbing the glass walls of the shower and they always accommodated our schedules and completed the cleaning while I was at physical therapy! We just couldn't figure out the heated bathroom floors! Would love to stay here again! read more

We stayed here the last week of May and loved our stay. The place was pretty empty since it was off season, but the staff was all very helpful and kind. Our room was comfy and the breakfast was really good everyday and included. We loved using the gym and spa. The staff was very helpful with telling us great hikes in the area like Hanging lake, and helping us find white water rafting companies. Would definitely stay here again. Great rooms with AC for the summer time. All the service through out the hotel was amazing. The beds were very comfy and the rooms aren't super small. The bathrooms were huge and showers were solid. I stayed mid August and loved it. I had never been to Vail, so I wasn't sure if the hotel would be convenient to the main village area. Luckily it was about a 5 minute stroll. The public parking lot is conveniently located across the street. The rooms were very cozy, large and very clean. The beds were also extremely comfy! Staff was friendly and quick with the check in process. In fact, I mentioned that I only put down 2 for the reservation and I wanted to add 2 more to my reservation. I assumed that I would have to pay the extra person fee but he mentioned it would be fine, even with the complimentary breakfast. There were plenty of options for breakfast and it was yummy. I did not take advantage of the spa or gym, hopefully next time. Overall, I had a great stay and I will definitely be back. read more
