Loved The Highline! They upgraded us to the double King 2floor suite for a discounted rate when we checked in..super clean, loved the lobby- very pretty! So convenient to rent skis at their shop for a discounted rate! Cory was so helpful with it and super pleasant! Hot tub and pool were amazing after a day of skiing! The shuttle was good to use but one time they never came to pick us up in Vail when we had called.. I have to give a shout out to the front desk for finding my purse that i forgot in the lobby and making sure it was put away until I realized i didn't have it! 5stars to them!! I absolutely loved this hotel. It is in a pretty decent location, although not right up against the slopes. I didn't ski so I didn't care. The service was spectacular by the staff at the hotel & the bar area. The restaurant was not great service, in fact so poor, we got up and left. The food did look good, but I was over the attitudes. The hotel rooms were nice & clean. For a pet hotel, I was actually shocked at how clean the rooms were without an awful fragrance to cover it up. The o my complain I have about the hotel itself is that the restaurant that is attached does smell up the entire lodge area. Overall, it was a great stay, and I would stay here again. read more

When you go you a hotel that had the name Hilton in it, you may set unrealistic expectations. You think of a luxurious place where Paris Hilton wouldn't mind spending a few days at while being pampered. Well, if that is your expectation, I am sorry to disappoint you. But when your expectations become more down to earth, then you realize that this is a pretty good place. To start with, the professionalism and the cordial attitude of the entire staff was superb, from the receptionist, to the bartender, to the shuttle driver, to everyone I came in contact with. Everyone was friendly and ready to help. The ski rental shop in the hotel gave 30% discount to those who stayed in the hotel. As for amenities, everyone's favorite activity in the hotel seemed to be the heated outside pool, next to the jacuzzi and the fire place. So please don't forget you bathing suit when you go skiing. The free shuttle wad extremely convenient, along with the storage for the ski equipment. No, you probably won't run into celebrities there (except for me, of course), but you will have a comfortable ski trip. read more

Stayed here for the weekend and had a great experience. We really appreciated the shuttle service--it made getting to the ski resorts easy without having to deal with parking. Our room was comfortable and met all our needs. The pool and hot tub were excellent; the hot tub is very large, so it never felt crowded, and the pool was nicely heated. Pivot 62, the hotel restaurant, also offered good food and drinks. Overall, a very enjoyable stay. read more

I decided to treat my daughter's family to a couple of nights away during fall break. We're all hikers, bikers, etc., and thought even without snow we'd find stuff to keep us busy. The area is very pretty, the staff at the facility was friendly and helpful. The room configuration was challenging in that it didn't really have a place where we could eat together. There wasn't Anything but a narrow high table along the back edge of a couch that had seating for 2. The room says it comfortably sleeps up to 8 adults. (2 queens, 1 king, and a sleeper couch) The kitchen that was described as fully equipped, was challenging in that it only had serving pieces for 4 to 8 depending on what it was - 4 bowls for example, some of us used coffee mugs instead. There were no sharp knives for food prep (we borrowed some from the kitchen), there wasn't a can opener and the wine opener was a mess. All of the food prep utensils were plastic and should be replaced. The flatware was fine but again, there weren't enough spoons. The staff brought us a couple more knives, spoons, and a useable wine bottle opener so we could all eat together. As far as the coffee maker, it's a Kuerig and we were supplied with 2 pods of regular coffee, 2 decaf, and 2 tea. Needless to say we made several trips to the front desk for more coffee pods, and we made a trip to Safeway (a short walk away) for hot cocoa pods for the kids. Overall the room didn't seem all that clean, and it smelled like someone before us had been smoking pot. I was the first one there by an hour or so, so I opened the windows and the door on the terrace to air out the place. The temperature control would not allow for a temp below 70°. Which is a problem at night for some. There were no windows in the room with the 2 Qn beds so fresh air was an issue. We borrowed two fans from the facility. The pool outside was nice (as was the exercise room) and the kids loved it, but it could have used a little more attention to detail. I have never seen so many dead flies in a hot tub before! I found a net and got rid of them. They have a nice bar and restaurant which was open for breakfast (and really good with lots of gluten free choices) My daughter tells me that the place is probably geared for ski season (just around the corner) - so we would have been eating at the mountain or out of the pizza box or . . . Not sure that I would go back at any time of year, or I would at least look for a different room configuration. The beds were comfortable and the toiletries were plentiful and of good quality. read more

A very good stay with more local feel than you expect for a chain. The room was spacious and comfortable, everything well maintained and functioning. The lobby is outstanding: a huge space with a variety of truly inviting seating areas and games (table shuffleboard, billiards, and foosball), as well as a bar that makes great cocktails. Very nice heated pool and large hot tub. For winter stays, I saw one large gas fire pit and electric heaters along one side; I'm kind of surprised there aren't many more fire pits. Having a truly local restaurant embedded is a pleasant surprise. But beware that the Hilton elite dining credit can't be used there. Looking at the rates for ski season makes my eyes water, but I suppose that's standard for the area. read more

Honestly kind of bummed that I had an opportunity to stay at The Hythe for work but missed out. Highline Vail wasn't a terrible backup option! My partner and I visited during a major high school graduation weekend, and the incessant talking outside our hotel room was distracting for falling asleep but also reminded us of when we were younger. Parking can be a challenge, but that's because it was a busy weekend. The lobby area is my absolute favorite. So grand, warm, welcoming. I already had a few glasses of wine but otherwise would have hung out at the bar. Making a note of that for next time. My partner said the gym was decent, and the pool area looked nice but was swarming with teenagers. The room itself was cozy. Love the chaise on one side for casual lounging. Didn't love that the drain plug in the sink was broken, but maintenance was quick at responding to our call to temporarily fix it. Overall I've stayed at a few hotels around Vail (mostly for work) and this is definitely on my list of favorites, despite the lack of peace and quiet. read more

The location is right on the freeway open the sliders or try get some fresh air you get the freeway noise and the AC's at least 20 of them blowing. Inside the rooms are miniature toilets With Filthy carpets in hallways and hotel size rooms. In the morning no breakfast except for some several hour old breakfast burritos No coffee in the lobby They do have an old dirty automatic coffee dispenser for $3 Would I stay here again NEVER! Just finished a 2 night stay at the Highline Vail for our first snowboarding trip to Vail. This is an excellent hotel with great staff, comfortable & clean rooms, and a great bar/dinner experience at Pivot 62. The mandatory destination fee is annoying, but it covers parking (which is otherwise very expensive in Vail), a free shuttle to/from the slopes, and an amazing heated pool/hot tub outdoor. I would definitely stay here again for a future trip to Vail. read more

07.13-15 Wanted a hotel outside of the village. Double tree was just 8 min away from both Vail Village and Lions Head. Clean room, impressive lobby, storage area for winter gears is a plus. Ordered food at the bar on our first night. I highly recommend the roasted Brussels sprouts and spare ribs Mac n cheese. There is a pool (I don't think it's heated) a massive hot tub, and plenty of lounging chairs around the pool and fire pit. So pretty on a cool night. It had free parking, has a locally owned restaurant connected to the hotel. Mc Donald's (only fast food chain in all of Vail) is right next door. A grocery store and other restaurants are also walking distance from double tree. Two shuttles are available to take you to and back Lions Head and the Village. When ready to go back just text the hotel and a shuttle will come get you within 8-10 min. Rides are free so don't forget to tip. Get recs from the drivers for places to check out, you won't be disappointed. read more

My positive experience with Highline started while on the way to the hotel. My dad had a severe panic attack driving through the mountain in the snow. This was around 1 PM and our check in time was not until 4- we were about 30 minutes out. I called the hotel to ask if we'd be able to check in as soon as we arrived given the condition my dad was in. Without hesitation the staff member on the phone (I don't remember her name, unfortunately) told us to come on in and she would make sure we are taken care of. I appreciated this so much as I have never been able to check in earlier than the stated arrival time to any hotel I have ever stayed at. Upon our arrival my dad was thankfully doing a lot better. We were all impressed with the ambiance of the hotel and how well it was decorated and put together. After we checked in, we were given warm cookies! What a nice treat after traveling by plane and then a long drive. We stayed in the 2 King Residential Loft. The downstairs was was equipped with a full kitchen that included a dishwasher, pull out sofa, balcony, half bathroom, 2 barstools. Upstairs had a pullout sofa, sink, separate room for toilet and shower, 2 king beds, long table and TV. It also had a double door closet where extra blankets and pillows were stored. The view from the balcony was nice. We had a view of the pool and mountain side. My only negative experience with the room was that as soon as you walked in, there was a very musty smell kinda like old curtains from the 70s that was never washed. The hotel itself was beautiful. It had a full gym (see photos with equipment), small shop that sold hats, beanies, sweaters, backpacks, snowboard and ski rentals, spa with massage, restaurant, pool table, shuffle board, 2 computers, bar, fireplace and plenty of comfortable seating. On the property outside, there was a pool, which I believe is heated, hot tub, gazebo with extra seating, corn hole, and a fire pit. The hotel does provide shuttle service to Vail Village so that was really convenient. Tip the driver, Dave, he's super nice and likes to talk to hotel guests! The hotel is located next to a Safeway, McDonald's and a few other restaurants. We were highly impressed with the hotel and the service. I honestly wished we stayed a few more days, but we had plans to see other cities in Colorado. Definitely recommend! read more

The hotel itself is very cozy but the bus is the best part(I know they are common with hotels in ski resorts but this one felt different). The Highline bus will take you anywhere nearby for free (and pick you up after!!!), just call the front desk and they get the driver for you! The couple of drivers we had were all very nice and conversational. read more

This is a great bar with a cool staff. There is one staff member in particular, a tall handsome man...a red head at that. He goes by the name of Texas Red. He is very attentive to his customers and keeps the drinks stiff and constantly flowing. He really knows how to make his customers feel at home and is very entertaining. Not to mention his charisma is off the charts. I was slightly scared he would steal my wife. However we were very impressed with his bar tender skills and would say his drinks are world renowned. This is in a good location near vail center and near the bike paths . As for the hotel itself , I was not really happy with the bed it was lumpy and my back hurt . The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything your neighbor is saying . I felt like they were in your room. The room was big and a had a neat loft but it was really warm at night . The restaurant downstairs was even way understaffed . They had 2 waiters and 40 tables in the restaurant. read more

Wow! I never expected such a great welcome from the time I walked in to the time I checked out. Natalie is an amazing front desk person and deserves a raise. She greeted us with open arms, like we were a member of her family. The shuttle drivers (Jose and Summer) we equally amazing during our stays We were upgraded to the king bed loft and it was comfortable and enjoyable. We did not use the kitchen, but it did offer us an option to cook if we decided not to eat out. The bed was comfortable and she shower better than most hotels. Breakfast is a little wonky because of covid restrictions; nothing fancy, but for someone looking for a quick meal, it works. read more

Stayed here for 2 nights using points for our 4 day get away to Colorado. We checked in around 4 and had a room on the 4th floor with a balcony. This hotel is conveniently located to a Safeway, gas stations and a few restaurants. As a diamond member, I was given $20 food and beverage credit per day to use at pivot 62 or made market. We were also given 2 drink vouchers. The rooms were pretty nice and updated. Each had a vanity mirror, Keurig and TV with directv. There was also a fridge but no microwave. This property had a really nice gym, a huge bar with tons of seating and a pretty fireplace and a beautiful outdoor area with fire pits, a pool and hot tub. There are 2 other restaurants attached - Westside cafe and a Mexican restaurant. Nice hotel that is pretty close to the village! I would stay again if I return to Vail. read more

This hotel is simply sublime! From the moment we checked in with Leslie to the amazing food at the restaurant with Rolando we were taken aback. As a diamond member with Hilton, I am often left feeling somewhat undervalued at many properties but here I felt like we were treated like royalty. The length that Leslie and Vitali at the front desk and Rolando in the restaurant and all of the staff that we interacted with went to make our Anniversary stay magical were next to none. I can't say enough good things about this experience and this property! I had contacted the property ahead of time as I had arranged with a local florist to have flowers waiting for my significant other and we left them at the front desk as a gift to Leslie and the whole staff and hotel and that is the picture attached! We will definitely be back and encourage others to visit as well! I highly highly highly recommend booking one of their beautiful loft suites as the fireplace and the balcony and the whole space are so inviting and feel like a home away from home. Also, the outdoor Jacuzzi is not to be missed, especially on a beautiful snowy night! read more

Highline vail was PERFECT for a last minute ski trip. 1) the staff was so helpful and friendly 2) the ski check was great! 3) the shuttle to lionshead & vail village was so easy to use and ran frequently 4) the dinning atmosphere was great to watch March madness 5) our room was great. We appreciated the split level. 6) the outdoor hot tub was clean and perfect after skiing. I'd only change the coffee situation. The coffee in the lobby needs some better milk choices. read more

Beautiful hotel. The lobby is very nice and big. There is a double sided fire place, games, tvs, a bar, restaurant and a 24hr store. The heated pool....the hot tub....the fire pit....so good! The gym looked really nice as well if that is your cup of tea. And if cookies are your thing of course they have the nice warm double tree cookies that are always a nice treat. Rooms were nice and modern. Loved the free shuttle to and from Vail village definitely was clutch to our stay and made it easy to get around. read more

The rooms are tired and need a refresh. The shuttle service to get a pickup is not reliable. We booked a king room and they put us on the 2nd floor right outside the elevator where the cleaning staff convenes for their cleaning. Our view is the air conditioning systems and constant noise outside the room. I get it, we were early for checkin, but I wouldn't have put anyone in that room who was a paying customer. Spent the first part of our NYE snowmobiling then we headed to the Highline to meet some friends for drinks. It's a beautiful establishment with great ambience that welcomes you with a spacious lobby and glowing fireplace when you walk in. The bartenders were super friendly and attentive and kept the drinks flowing. Definitely a great place to kick back and unwind. Exceeded expectations! Was a bit wary at first regarding quality as this location is not in the village itself but only a short 5 min drive to village parking. Rooms and amenities were clean and the heated pool and hot tub were fantastic after a long day of skiing. Rachel and Natalie at the front desk were very welcoming and happy to help with any request ranging from robes to room service. Room service was also very quick. We even put in a request at the front desk only to have room service beat us up back to our room! The ski shop was also helpful and knowledgeable. Guest services overall are excellent. The only downside was that the lobby/bar/restaurant service was slow due to only having one server and bar tender available while there were many guests. However, I can't fault the hotel for this - hopefully they can staff up soon. Would definitely recommend. read more

A fancy lobby with mediocre rooms. You'd be better off staying a little further west and not paying extra for a "Vail" address. The second-floor rooms are actually mostly at ground level. While we could see some mountain scenery (which was nice) from our window it wasn't worth the dog walkers standing next to our window, or the RV's warming up a few feet away, or the constant noise of people and cleaning staff using the back door all day. As for the room itself. The bed was clean but the furniture was chipped. The heater/AC was extremely loud even on the lowest setting. The ADA shower did an amazing job of getting the entire bathroom wet. The in-room coffee machine worked (K cups) but it was all decaf or tea. read more

Please read the other reviews on this place before you book. Unfortunately, since I'm currently a Diamond member - I'm switching to Marriott after this - I booked without looking. The reviews are correct, this place is awful. All of the staff (front desk, restaurants, shuttle drivers, etc.) are rude. The front desk kept messing up my reservation and we had continual issues with keys. They also never offered us cookies and I still feel like we got a bait and switch on the upgrade they offered. Thanks Highline Vail for cementing my decision to switch to Marriott! Your service is pathetic! read more

After booking with an agency and trying to cancel due to death in family the managers were not accepting my "reason" and therefore I lost over $300, but I as sure bet they ending up renting the room that was suppose to be mine and made double their monies. Should've read the Google reviews about the poor customer service, over the phone it is horrible they are not willing to work with you and get you a solution instead are strict to their policies. I wasn't even offered a future credit nothing I will not be recommending this to friends and are very disappointed with how I am treated especially after what I am dealing with ... stay away from this hotel and from Hotels.com book elsewhere where they may at least fake that they care read more

Loved, loved, loved this place! One of the nicest Hilton properties we've ever stayed at. My brother's a Hilton Diamond member and we were thrilled when he booked 3 nights for us here while we skied Vail. Priceless. Staff shout-out goes to Jasper (Cindy?), the evening front desk receptionist. She is AMAZING! She made my stay personally, and every member of our 8 person group commented on a personal touch she provided that they appreciated. For me it was the comforter she hunted down for me the first night (I get inordinately freezing all the time in hotels) as well as the good advice she gave me for handling my altitude sickness (which was hitting me really hard since we flew in that same day from Atlanta to Denver and then drove straight up to Vail). She also helped me with quarters and soap for laundry. Jasper took care of a dozen little things for us, between our two rooms, that just made our stay so perfect. She's also a very talented artist and gave my sister one of her wood paintings as a gift. And then gave another one to my dad! I hope her managers appreciate her as much as we did. Rooms were SO clean and well maintained. It was quiet at night and good sound insulation allowed me to sneak out in the early morning for coffee and a run without waking anyone. In room there was a coffeemaker, microwave, mini-fridge...etc. Lots of space for 4 and large bathrooms. The shuttle drivers and gear locker guys were great, too. Very cheerful and helpful loading and unloading. Ski gear storage in the lobby was sooooo convenient, especially after leaving our boots in the van the first night and having them freeze too hard to put on. We later learned that they put them on heaters in the locker area. Never had a problem after that! Shuttles came when we called and were prompt, clean and safe. The lobby and common areas of the hotel are stunning. Huge ceilings, artistic wood tables, table bowling, foozeball, a two-sided glass fireplace, free starbucks coffee, amazing jacuzzi with waterfall into the heated pool below and a view of the mountainside and stars at night with another massive fireplace and Adirondacks chairs behind it....it's going to be hard for anywhere else in the world to beat this place. Gym is state of the art and larger than most Hilton gyms (though I didn't use it thanks to the leg workout from constant skiing). There's a guest laundry, Spa area, quite a bit of parking, easy access from the highway, walking path along a creek within walking distance, great views, couldn't ask for more honestly. Less than a block you've got a McDonalds, Q'Doba (which is killer food) and Safeway if you need food beyond the hotel restaurant. We SOOOOO hope we get to come back someday!! Definitely an experience we want to repeat! read more

My husband was having back surgery in vail on the 23rd of October, we arrived in vail on the 21st we started to research hotels to see where the most convenient hotel would be. I called the highline hotel and was trying to get information about the hotel,the man on the phone was very pushy and sad if you book with us and decide not to stay afterwards the cancelation is free. I started reading some of the reviews so I decided to stop by and I asked if I could see one of the rooms ,but the young lady at the desk said no so I canceled the reservation. She said that would not be a problem, but they charged my card 214.00 for nothing. Very dishonest people. I stayed at the trivoli lodge,it was beautiful and the staff was great read more

The lobby of the hotel is quite attractive and the hotel underwent a renovation adding air conditioning to each room, but they did everything on the cheap. The rooms are very small and extremely dark. With all the room lights on, the room is still dark, and the air conditioning is noisy. The bathrooms got a superficial update with new tile, shower heads and hardware, but the bathrooms are tiny and the toilets are the old height and uncomfortable. My room cost $300 a night and it was definitely not worth it. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel which is packed at breakfast---no social distancing or masks anywhere. We went in and right out. read more
