I ordered flowers to be delivered to a patient at the Vail Medical center. I told the woman who answered the phone I wanted to spend about $70. The arrangement arrived and was nice. When I received my credit card statement I noticed she had charged me $104. I thought this was deceptive and emailed. Someone responded and acknowledged it had requested a limit of $70. Just stated she would send me the detailed slip in a few days. read more

I guess being from the south we expect people to greet you when you walk in a store. I was totally ignored I walked around and waited a minute for someone to say something. When the florist I ordered from canceled on me the Friday before Mother's Day, I panicked and was convinced no one would be able to deliver on such short notice. I called A Secret Garden and the woman I spoke to was so super nice and helpful. She assured me it wouldn't be an issue and could deliver same day if needed. I just wanted them delivered by Mother's Day but knew my mom wouldn't be home to accept the delivery. She helped troubleshoot the delivery and they ended up delivering just 4 hours after I ordered. The arrangement was gorgeous and my mom was thrilled. I am so happy that I found such a fantastic florist to have flowers delivered to my mom in Avon all the way from Missouri. Will absolutely be using A Secret Garden again! read more

Beautiful store, lovely gifts and flowers. Just make sure to give a budget or ask how much before you buy flowers. We go to Vail every summer for 7-10 days and I thought I'd get two tiny nosegays for our room this year. I came in to the Secret Garden and bought two $3.50 bud vases and asked for a few small flowers, expecting to spend about $25. I picked 2 small roses, two pieces of magenta heather and 3 pieces of purple heather. So, five small flowers in each bud vase. When I checked out, the florist told me the bouquets would be $75 total!!! I am used to overpaying in Vail by about 50%, but this was ridiculous. Each small rose (I am talking 2" in diameter) must have been $20. I was so flabbergasted--and she had already cut the flowers to fit in the bud vases--so I paid and left. That doesn't mean I wasn't upset. I could have planted 2 rose bushes and 3 heather plants for that amount. Do not buy flowers here unless you are okay with selling your firstborn child--or ask about price first. read more

The florist at the shop was exceptional (I think her name was Susan). Not only did she make me feel welcome- she really made me feel valued as a customer and human being. The later of which rings truer than you think. While Vail has its snobby vendors and customers (like most places), I did not see that with this venue at all. Quite the opposite, in fact. In addition, I was given insight on other venues within the area to check out as well as directions to them. The flower assortments were very fresh, and I greatly appreciated the complimentary orange carnations given to me as a courtesy and very kind gesture. I will certainly be back. -5 stars. read more

So I came into this situation a little hot. We were making a flower hairpiece for my friends wedding, and we were last minute and under the gun. We ordered a bouquet from A Secret Garden to have more flowers to choose from. The wedding colors were redish and the bouquet was completely yellow. I think they could see the fear on my face, BUT the women calmed me down and helped me out. They put together something beautiful and the hairpiece was a hit. Every time I receive flowers from A Secret Garden, my response upon seeing the arrangement is the same: "I hope they didn't pay a lot for these". Then I speak to the sender, send them a photo, and realize how poor the arrangements really are for the price. Do they think they are just selling to tourists in Vail who won't notice the lack of value and poor eye for detail? I know the owners are lovely and they do a lot of events, but I've just had bad luck here with delivered flowers and wouldn't recommend it. read more

She is so friendly and such a pleasure to work with! She is really willing to go the extra mile to make your wedding special. Our flowers were absolutely beautiful! Although her prices were a bit higher than some of the other vendors we visited, it was so worth it to have the guarantee of fresh flowers!
