The resort town is amazing. Plenty of lodging and food options, of course, resort prices. The ski slopes are steep, so if you like speed, this is the place for you. Not a spot for beginners in my opinion. I am learning and find only the 2 little green practice runs up top are true greens. School marm is a blue....sorry not sorry. This is an amazing ski mountain that offers a lot of green beginner runs to very advanced black diamond runs. Because of lacking Snow, the double diamonds were not available. In the past, they've skied their double diamonds and we had a lot of fun. There's plenty of parking available. They do have shuttles for the very far out parking, which is a great thing. This will add on a little bit of time because it's done an express shuttle The lifts are fast and moving well In 25 years of coming to Keystone I have yet to ever meet an employee that was not nice and pleasant . read more

Spend two days on the slopes. Even with the bitter cold winds there was a good amount of people on the mountain. The staff did an amazing job at making decisions in order to keep us safe in closing lifts during the high winds and cold. Parking can be difficult if you arrive later in the day, but the skiing is awesome! They have some long runs which is nice!!

The safety riders on the mountain don't have a clue what's going on and lie about any little thing. No go for me anymore.

Pros 1. Close to Denver 2.The Keystone pass is very affordable compared to others 3. Kids 4 and under are free Cons 1. Not a fan of the parking situation at all 2. It's a pretty long walk from the parking lot so bring a wagon if you park at River run and have kids. 3. The easy green runs is almost 3 and 1/2 mi from the top to the bottom which is pretty long for kids. Mountain house West which is the closest parking lot to the magic carpet and the children's area charges $25 for parking per day during peak time and $15 per day off peak. Tip 1. Mountain house parking lot D is free. And the closest easiest parking lot. If you get there by 7:45 to 8:00 on a weekday, there's usually plenty of parking. read more

I went skiing last Friday with my daughter, she is a repeat 1st timer with not very much experience. We both thought that she was prepared to ski mid schoolmarm riding the Peru Lift. We rode the lift then proceeded to exit when she lost her balance and fell. We were immediately met by the Lift Operator, Lee. He helped Alyssa out while slowing the lift down so we wouldn't get hit by other skiers. Alyssa, while intimidated, started down the hill she was shaky, off-balanced and scared. While we were trying to figure out what to do because this run was way over her skiing level Lee showed up and started giving my daughter pointers. How to get up, pizza and plant your pole and turn around it. Without Lee's professionalism and expertise we would have been doomed. It is employee's like Lee that make Keystone such an amazing Mountain. My daughter and I made it to the top and started from scratch on the magic carpet. Honestly it's one of the best and closest Epic pass ski resorts. One of the main best perks is the free parking. They have a lot of runs from the back to the front of the mountain. The front has a major learning run called schoolmaram which is 3.5 miles long. The best time to go is in the middle of the week because the lines are short and the mountain is not super crowded like on the weekends. The food on the mountain is very expensive. You are looking at spending at least $25 for tenders and fries. I think personally they could drop the food prices a bit. But that is just my personal opinion. Overall still a great mountain to ski and board. read more

We visited Keystone and made it a half day as we were staying in Breckenridge. Visiting keystone we rode the gondola which is very well kept- , visited the ice castle and did some snow tubing. The resort is very well kept and the staff were all very helpful. We were first time visitors for tubing and they help led us in the right direction. If you feel lost that's okay - just ask for help! You must purchase the gondola ride AND the tubing pass if you plan to snow tube- you can check for pricing on the website. We found the easiest way to purchase our pass was by visiting the counter as then the Keystone team help lead us in the right direction. read more

I had a great experience at Keystone Resort mountain. I went two days in a row and that was a good amount of time to get used to the mountains and trails. I'm from New York so I got hit pretty hard with the high altitude sickness, please be aware that this might happen to you, it sucks so much. This was my first time skiing out west and it was completely different than the New England mountains. The green trails are so long which was awesome. Took me about 12 minutes to get down the mountain. They do close at 4 PM though so definitely want to come on time and get as many trips up the mountain as you can in the day read more

Went to keystone today! My first day of this ski season! Schoolmarm is the only run open so it was super crowded and not super enjoyable but the snow was actually pretty good surprisingly and I enjoyed the views and the sunshine. We planned a trip MLK weekend, and activities were cancelled by the resort due to the wind. I spoke to someone at the resort that day, and they stated we'd receive an automatic refund. A week later, I had been transferred to different lines at least 13 times, often speaking to the same pool of reps. Needless to say, I sent an email instead, as I couldn't get anywhere through the 7 phone numbers I was given. Another 10 days after that, I still have not received a phone call or response to email. Such a bad experience today. Specifically NOWHERE at the Mountain House bad area takes cash. I had no idea, and brought $60 in cash in my pocket (I have a fear of losing my wallet if I ski with it). Well I got SO much grief about trying to buy my kids lunch. I ended up having to spend 60 dollars on about 20 worth of food because they don't have change. Everyone was so rude. So....I thought I provided guidance to all of my fellow Yelpers, but it appears I did not. Here it is!!! We have gone twice this year so far. Both times they were operating all lifts and about 2/3 of the trails. So what we liked about this mountain is how one mountain has front side trails and then a trail called Mozart on the back that you take that connects you to the next peak. I felt Mozart was a bit busy and skied off but it's not a bad trail (it's a blue). The rest of the trails were in good shape. Overall the connectivity between the peaks was nice. One thing that I thought was really nice was that their signs show you which trails are open but then it will also say groomed or moguls. I do feel that is helpful for people who don't really want to ski moguls and for people who do. The views from the third peak over are phenomenal (pic posted). You can see Breck from the top of these peaks. We found lift lines moved fast and that they honored covid rules when we were there. Lift and gondola limited to your group only. This will definitely be a mountain we spend time at. I am interested in skiing when all, or most, trails are open to get a better idea of the mtn. I felt it was limited and not as many options I would like due to the lack of trails. read more

We can't say enough amazing things about how hard the employees work, and how great the ski patrol is. We got into a bit of trouble on Thanksgiving Day, and they responded right away, they were very gracious, and got us off the mountain quickly! Update: Lots of variety of slops for different ranges of ski expertise. Watch as snowboarders can run you over, but overall I feel people do try to be respectful. read more

The whole reservation system this year is a complete hassle and pain especially if you are spontaneous BUT it is so nice once you are on the mountain! Keystone (unlike Breck) really do enforce the Social distance guidelines. They had guests 6 feet in line, reminded guests to wear face masks, sat only groups that were together on the chair lifts.(felt badly being a solo rider on a loft for 6 but that was the chair lifts decision). The runs were nice since they were not crowded and that was amazing on a Saturday and the day after Christmas. Plenty of parking as well. read more

Loved going to Keystone last year before the pandemic. Got it on both a snowy and sunny day and it was crazy to see the difference! I am a pretty advanced skier so I spent most of the day towards the Outback part of the resort. It's definitely laid out strangely and you have to trek back and forth to get to your car if needed. However, if you are prepared to ski most of the day, it's a great way to escape the crowds. The snow is delightful and you can definitely find powder pockets days after a storm. I would say it's a bit less skied then Breck next door. The North and South bowl terrain is truly amazing and offers great beginner options if you've never skied backcountry. There is a bit of flats though so be advised. Overall, this is a great family friendly resort, with enough of a wild side to keep experts busy! read more

There is a lifty by the name of Lauren at your resort scanning tickets at the gongola on 3/29 and she legit smacked a kid on the head for not moving in line and then laughed at the mom and told her to keep moving. Terrible service from a terrible person, I hope she gets terminated because she should not be working in customer service. This review is specifically for first time skiers like myself. I will say that this was not a very Beginner-Level friendly ski resort. In order to get to the the bunny slopes, you MUST take the ski lift. The ski lift is quite steep so if you are afraid of heights or have never been on a ski lift before, take caution. Also if you do the night skiing (again as a beginner), you cannot take the gondolas back down, you must ski back down the mountain on level Green. Otherwise if you have some experience with snow activity, it seemed like everyone else had a blast. Do not recommend for first timers. read more

Been skiing here and Breck for years and I love them both. Keystone has beautiful views and great blue trails. Don't park at the gondola, there's a free lot for an extra 6 minute walk over to the Gondola. Cute little resort town of stores that you'll walk past. read more

Easily my least favorite resort in the western US. The people who ski here are incredibly reckless and as I lapped Outback I probably saw one harrowing crash every time I went up the lift. Conditions were bad but to add insult to injury they had trail boards at the top of some lifts claiming that certain trails were open... those trails weren't open. There is definitely some solid hike-to terrain but, make no mistake, this is a locals mountain. The village here also sucks and all the restaurants seemed to be owned by the same company which made for a college dining hall feel. On-mountain dining was also crappy with the BBQ restaurant being "out" of ... BBQ ... and chili ... meaning they only served fries and vegetarian chili. read more

So I wish I could do two reviews. All the staff in the equipment rentals and on the mountain were amazing. The skiing was fantastic. The lodging not so much. The elevator was down the entire time we were there. There we're just lots of thinking in the condo that weren't up to par. You couldn't cook anything with out the smoke alarm going off. Couldn't watch TV which normally wouldn't have been an issue but it was the NFL championship weekend. The staff would leave bags of linens in the hall ways for days. read more

I love to ski here but am leaving two stars for the mountaintop yoga class. The class costs $35 per person (not including the lift ticket) and was supposed to be from 10:30-11:30. The instructor showed up with barely a planned flow and the class only lasted 40 minutes. It was also just basic stretches despite my sister and I being the only people in the class and saying we were very experienced yogis. For this price, we were very disappointed by the class. The views were amazing but we could have easily stretched on our at the top and saved a lot of money. read more

We had a great time at the resort. Very smooth process staying at the lodge, getting rentals, etc. just a warning If you are a beginner/ first timer you might not need to buy the lift pass. The beginner slope does not need the lift pass. We did not know that so we bought 2 day lift passes and ended up not using them at all so it was money down the drain! If you are a beginner get your rentals from the mountain house bc that's where the beginner slope is. The staff throughout the whole resort was super friendly. We can't wait to come back! I would suggest staying at the keystone lodge bc there is a free shuttle that takes you around the whole resort! read more

Almost didn't come here because I was told it's better in the winter. Glad I didn't listen. A few restaurants and many rooms with decks overlooking a lake with mountains as the backdrop. On the lake, you can paddle-board, paddle-boat, kayak, and canoe. There is also a small beach. Great views on the drive here. Highly recommended if you're in the area. Went here for our anniversary the staff were great! We received a complimentary bottle of champagne, $10 off on the gondola ride or ice skating, and 2 free drinks at dinner. The food could of been better for the price we paid. Overall was a fun trip and good memories. There are other places for cheaper with the same attractions.
