You emerge from the pedestrian tunnel here - after parking your car
    Judi D.

Full disclosure: I didn't stay here overnight But I did attend a dinner meeting here. Looks nice But parking is a bit...arcane. Labyrinthine. All you see up front is "reserved " Wish there was a sign in front of the lodge saying to park across the way Do you walk in and hv to ask: where's parking Well, it's *across* the sometimes busy highway Use the pedestrian tunnel, two (semi-short) flights of steps, thru a short tunnel, back up a similar set of stairs to put you out in front of the Shops entry. And if you're going to a dinner meeting, it's down a hall and down note steps. Luckily, they've handrails. Just glad my broken foot from earlier this year has healed! But keep this in mind when coming to attend a meeting here. Or, if you're going to stay here.

We had an excellent stay here a week ago. Traveling during Covid can be tricky. I'm so glad the folks over at The Lodge and Spa took care of us. From getting a primo room with a nice balcony, to the awesome shuttle drivers, this was a place full of amenities. I loved the atmosphere, and the rustic furniture made it feel just like a lodge. Bedsheets and surfaces were all clean upon entry, and the room had adequate heat. The balcony view was fantastic, and definitely a perk of the higher floors. We loved looking at the resort, and walking right down to ice skating that night. There's a great place to eat attached to the hotel, and more options in Keystone village. I felt this was a great choice for the area, and we'll be back soon!

I stayed for business, walking distance to their conference call by about 10 minutes. They only have valet parking, and the parking lot is really small. I was recommended to park in a large outside parking lot (free of charge) by the conference call, which is what I did. The hotel lobby staffs were very friendly and helpful. The lobby was pretty and large, with nice amount of chairs. The lobby where you check in is located on 5th floor, which feel strange, since it was the ground floor from the parking... The sense of height is kind of all messed up here. The shape of the lodge itself is very long, so I had to walk quite far to get to my room from the entrance/exit every day. The room was a nice size with a huge armoire instead of a closet. Interesting... They had a humidifier in the armoire which was awesome since it is quite dry here. But, it didn't have any instruction on how to use this particular type of humidifier. It would've have been helpful. The room had adjoining door with next room, which I don't like to have...but it was ok, no issues during my stay. The walls are paper thin though, I could here people walking and talking in the hallway. The room had a balcony with a great view. I enjoyed sitting out there to relax every evening. The AC was not working, even it was summertime. Maybe intentionally? It was kind of warm in the room, but since the outside was the perfect temperature, I kept the door to the balcony open to let the cool air in. The lodge has many levels (floors) but it was handicap accessible. There were some eateries attached to the lodge, but not many options right there. I do not recommend eating at Edgewater Café, horrible food and horrible service. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay for a short business trip.

The only redeeming quality about this resort is the staff. They are top notch. The resort itself however.... It's summer. I don't care what you say about "the cooler mountain air". There's no A/C. My room faces the pool. If I wanted to relax during the day at all in my room there's be no way. I'd have to open my balcony door and blast the fan they provide while listening to screaming kids in the pool. Or keep my room a dark cave with the heavy blackout curtains. Not 1st class at all. I overheard one person say he was a floor above the rest of the building's HVAC so he couldn't leave his door open at all because it was too loud. I'm pretty sure my room was getting into the 80s in the day. The building is outdated. No great food choices. The restaurants at the resort are subpar. It's also having some construction and the air quality is terrible! I wish I had stayed at the Hyatt or down by Lake Dillon for the event I'm attending. Super disappointed. The negatives way outweighed the few positives.

Overall - had a good stay here. It's extremely convenient if you are attending a conference here, as the conference center is about a 10 min walk (underground tunnel) - free parking is also available across the street from the lodge (closer to the conference center). The check-in and check-out process could both use some improvement. Large lines to check in (no early check in), and the same to check out (tried to check out early am around 7am, before the 11Am checkout to attempt to avoid this). Will say that while I didn't use the valet - they were probably the most helpful/nice staff I encountered. Greeted everyone cheerily and answered questions knowledgeably. The hotel itself could use some updating, however my room was very comfortable and very clean - I had a room with a balcony which was nice. Also the ability to open the windows/let fresh air in was wonderful. Again - great place to stay if you're going to a conference - just pack your patience for the check in/out process.

They have free valet and ski storage! Starting at 8am they have a free shuttle that comes around and picks you up and it will take you to the ski lifts. For the winter months they have a huge pool that is heated. You get inside the pool indoors and then swim outside. It was snowing when I went in the pool! There are also two hot tubs. One hot tub is outside and the other is indoors. There is a sauna and a steam room and also a place to dry your bathing suits after you are done. The is also a restaurant and bar within the hotel. If you get room service you MUST get the chocolate cake they have for dessert. It's TO DIE FOR!! Overall the hotel and service was great.

Stayed 3 nights, very comfortable, had a great massage at the spa, staff is very friendly, not much open during mud season but beautiful scenery, I would definitely stay again. Pool was heated and nice indoor spa and sauna, you don't have to get a massage to use these facilities.

Here for an Education Conference for International Baccalaureate programs and schools. Beautiful surroundings, older style lodge with spacious bedroom/bathroom. Shuttle and many unique outdoor activities for purchase ($$). Nice meal amenities for the meals included in conference. Overpriced 'on your own meals' if right in this village area. Not sure yet about eateries avail by shuttle. Will be exploring!

There was basically no snow/ice removal starting a few feet from the front steps. Sleep quality here was mediocre. Even though we were on the far side of the hotel, we could hear workers randomly yelling as they arrived in the morning and the same godawful playlist from the village (I think?) starting at 7 AM sharp every day. I don't think I saw a single member of custodial staff the entire time we stayed here. Seemed to be a bit of a free for all with dumb people drinking from glass bottles in the hot tubs, wet towels strewn about the common areas at 9 AM the next day, and an awful smell permeating from the steam room. Still kind of worth it for the cheap price but feels just like the resort itself, like perpetual college night at Killington in Vermont.

Each of the condos at the Springs are individually owned, so some units have been renovated. My remarks are about unit 8825 which is a 1BR with a sleeper sofa. The bed was a double, not Q or K.

The hallways are filled with trash and smell horrible. We found out why. The entire housekeeping staff was hanging out sitting on the stairs and chatting in spanish for over 2 hours one day. The parking lot was covered in ice and they never put sand on it the entire time we were there. The windows and entire building was dirty inside and out. They need to get a manager or SOMEONE on site. I didn't see anyone in the office by the pool our entire stay. No wonder. This place is nearly out of business. Might want to think about bull dozing the entire place. Why would you have the snow removal guy plow all the snow to where it takes up 4 parking spots? They clearly have been letting him do that all winter. We had to park at the lodge and they charged me for valet even after all this. "Huge kitchen" if you live in a single wide trailer. We had so much fun last year, that we returned again, but this time our room was right on the lake…read more How lucky we were because one can sit on the outdoor furniture provided, and basque in nature's glory, morning and night. The room was clean, cozy and inviting; decorated like a mountain cabin with doo dads and knick knacks in various hunting and winter themes. The kitchen is small but functional, and the refrigerator is large enough for a week's worth of food. I brought my own cooking utensils and enough food to feed my clan. I can write a book on left over creations, which became a new theme each night. Waking up to the site of the lake each morning, with ducks and geese swimming over glistening ripples of water right before my eyes, was breathtaking. The staff literally runs over for anything you need. They have made improvements in the last year, such as; a fully functional staff at the registration office on route 6, accompanied by refreshments and granola bars, after a long drive. (Not a wide eyed teen who's intimidated by questions.) They provide a map with accurate and detailed directions to your condo and unit. Multiple keys are given for your convenience without asking, AND they provide 24 hour staff support to their guests. I did find one flaw, and it's a safety issue for young children. The pilot light remains on in the fire place, and it's large enough to appear as though the fire place is on when nightfall arrives. Couldn't find the switch to turn it off, so I called the staff late into the night, and two qualified engineers from the property management arrived. They turned the pilot light off, per my request, which involved reaching into the fire place itself to turn a dial. The fire place switch itself was located on a bottom plate of the unit, without any signs. Something you might whack with you foot standing too close to the tv. There is a plaque over the fireplace, stating that intense heat will appear overhead, and to be careful. The problem is that when you open the sofa bed, the coffee table and whatever is on it, is smack dab near the fire place and pilot light. No glass cover protects the user from the flames. Only a hanging metal grate stands alone. Plus there must be some carbon monoxide inhalation from sleeping near an open pilot light. No carbon monoxide detector in the room either. I did have a good laugh when I opened the door late the first night, to the two engineers, as they were handing me back a bible from a publisher not in my musical genre, that we left outside on a brick wall. I refused and was asked if we were practicing a reverse exorcism. I laughed, and answered that if I left that book in my room, I would need a exorcism. If I had known their concern, an improvisational high pitch scream would have left my throat , right before I opened the door. But then I would not have had the pilot light extinguished, or the door would have been hanging by it's hinges from being shouldered in by two strong and brave men. I salute them for being understanding and keeping my family safe from noxious fumes. Obtaining clean towels every day was an easy task with one phone call to the desk, and they provide as many as you need. However, the sofa bed has seen better days, and the masterbedroom's king size bed looks inviting, but giving it a try, my head was lower than my feet. I laughed and pictured my evil counterpart, "Frankenstina," returning after moving heavy furniture, or after sleeping on a worn mattress, the following morning; contorting my spinal structure, and putting me in a foul mood. With a promise of the view coming from the sparkling lake the next sunrise, I took to the floor with my pillow and blanket. Yes I truly am a good camper and can sleep on the ground. But of course it's not really camping with indoor plumbing at my convenience. How very spoiled of me to expect this luxury. Update: be careful of altitude sickness. Anything from a mild headheache that turns to head pounding with dizziness, to flu like muscle aches and nausea. Or insomnia or leg cramps. After my medical emergency in Breckenridge last year, I was fully evaluated and had trained for this trip. I saluted porch sitters as they applauded my hour -long brisk walk around the lake several times. Suddenly I became ill at river run and made it back to the hotel. It's no joke, and please take it seriously. Drink water, rest, and scale back your activities, if you start melting. Nobody wants to be helecoptered to Frisco for emergency heart resuscitation.
