    Master 2 bed 2 bath

This place was just fine for my needs. Convenient shuttle w/ regular runs to Lionshead Village or the transit center in Vail. Outdoor ski locker. They have a couple of outdoor hot tubs and sauna with dressing rooms. A little outdated in comparison to the other local resorts but well-appointed 2 bed 2 bath we stayed in seemed to be a good value for the early Feb Week in which we stayed. They are a partner with Falcon Point (in Avon). Apparently both are now a subsidiary of Welk Resorts, as well.

master/only bdrm. decent size with plenty of closet space.

We grabbed this place to use some pts that were going to expire w/o the cost of airfare. First, this is NOT a high-end ski-in ski-out location with a giant chandeliers in the lobby. It IS a great "off-broadway" location, quiet, friendly, comfortable space. The good: 5 minute drive to Vail village or Lionshead, 12 minutes to Beaver Creek. Great, friendly staff. Recently renovated with Comfy beds, granite counters, fully stocked kitchen, tile bath, new carpet and an elevator. Simple rec pool, 2 hot tubs, all clean, outdoor and in the center of the building. The summer stay includes activities, happy hours, day trips & such. The place is right on the river and there is a great park with tennis right across the river - a short walk to the end of the block to cross over. There is also a bike trail along the river. The Bad: Curb appeal is not good. First impression had me thinking I had made a huge mistake. The 2015 post about the windows is valid; small window in mbr, another to walkway by the door. But...It provides nice cross-flow in the summer (no A/C anywhere in Vail!) and there are blinds you can close and no shortage of lighting & fans. No summer shuttle Bottom line: We enjoyed our stay completely. Slept comfortably, saved money cooking in the suite.

Hidden West Vail gem! Recently remodeled with new carpet, upgraded kitchen and furnishings, Eagle Point is a quiet, low-key condo complex in West Vail. The newly installed elevator, free Wi-Fi in each unit and private shuttle into town from morning into the evening (at least in the winter) make it a great place to relax and experience Vail. The perfect place to spend a week, especially if you don't need "The Ritz".

Then, within a day , when Apple charger wouldn't charge, she told us we were too much trouble, not like the 'nice people' who preceeded us and ordered us out on July 4th weekend with 3 days notice. Stay far far away from unit 917 at the westin. It looks beautiful on the surface, is toxic to a family with a mere scratch. Today, given the selfish 'eviction ' she billed us for an extra day for late checkout (unit NOT booked that day or next) gouged housekeeping to include a lockoff bedroom not used and a carpet cleaning for a dog who used 2 not 4 rooms. Oops, I forgot to mention, she forced us to cover sofa with blankets and sheets. Who has a rental if you can't sit on the sofa? NEVER rent a Westin unit from VRBO or AIRBNB. Westin treats you like 3rd class guests...owners fight with reservation desk. Amenities are overstated or don't exist. Forget cable or streaming. Gaming impossible. A vacation? 4star? Hahahaha.

On the evening of July 17, we inquired about why our room was so warm. A staff member told us that, due to capacity, the hotel's system was unable to adequately cool the room. This explanation was confusing because the hallway outside our room was noticeably cool. We were offered a fan, but it simply circulated the warm air and did little to improve the comfort of the room. It wasn't until our last night, July 19, that we were provided with a portable air conditioner (swamp cooler). While it helped somewhat, it was very noisy and made it difficult to sleep. One of the things my husband looks forward to most on vacation is getting a good night's rest, and unfortunately that wasn't possible. To make matters worse, when we checked out on the morning of July 20 at approximately 5:00 a.m., my husband approached the front desk. A young woman saw him standing there but did not acknowledge him and instead walked away. She didn't return until about 5:07 a.m. to assist him. A simple greeting or acknowledgment that she would be with him shortly would have gone a long way. While the hotel itself is beautiful and has many positive qualities, the lack of a functioning air conditioner, the delayed response to the issue, and the disappointing customer service at checkout significantly impacted our overall experience.

Gone are the days when renting skis/snowboards were part of the fun experience and we chatted with locals who loved their jobs. Now, Epic grossly understaffs their rental services and their ski lift employees. As a result, many of the workers appear to have stopped caring and the excitement we may have felt about skiing/snowboarding is washed away by a growing frustration that we may pick up from the stressed workers. The ski lift experience--that was once run by fun people who were as excited to be there as we were--is now understaffed and some of the workers seem to take it out on the customers. We witnessed workers harass customers with accusational questions, as if they were certain that the customers were using someone else's pass. They made big deals about it, calling security in a loud, attention-seeking manner that seemed to intentionally intimidate, and I wondered if these workers would be good candidates for ICE agents. One of the people I witnessed them harass was a special needs young man that was alone in line. he simply shut down and it was awful to see. Their prices are ridiculously high and are no refundable. we had 2 family members that couldn't go because they had the flu and Epic said they required proof. After we sent a doctor's note, they still did nothing. Epic is a chaotic, angry nightmare and put profit over people, ruining an otherwise fun ski trip with their poor customer service.

Worked out perfectly. We noticed that one of the remote controls was missing batteries, so we used the one from the living room and all went well. Notified the front desk and they were on it immediately to get us those batteries. Great service! We did take advantage of the hot tub a couple of nights. The hotel's listing claimed "luxurious mountain retreat", "elevated experience, "recent renovations" and showed beautiful photos, but my experience was nothing like what was advertised. We booked a 5-night stay for New Year's week to celebrate my birthday, paying $10,000 during peak pricing. We chose this hotel for its location over newer and less expensive options, only to be met with a room that was outdated, dirty, and poorly maintained. Room Conditions: * Stained carpets and walls * Damaged headboard and cracked bathroom tiles * Moldy, peeling wallpaper and a musty, moldy smell in the bathroom * Dirty towels, scratched lamps, toothpaste spatter on the mirror, and stained sink and counters * A broken deadbolt on the door Service: The service was equally disappointing. At check-in, I immediately reported the room's condition, but the front desk staff refused to assist, telling me to speak to a manager the next morning. Over the next two days, I spoke with several staff members, including those claiming to be managers, yet nothing was resolved. I was told no other rooms were available, and they could not do anything. I asked to check out early and cancel my remaining days of my prepaid stay. They did agree but I am still waiting for refund. One manager, Bryanna, was especially rude and dismissive, showing no willingness to help. The staff seemed inexperienced and untrained, which I later learned was due to new management. Final Thoughts: This stay has been a nightmare. I've wasted days of my trip trying to resolve these issues with the hotel and Expedia, and I am still waiting for a refund for the unused nights. On top of that, the bed and pillows were extremely uncomfortable, with no alternatives offered. This hotel is overpriced, poorly managed, and far from the luxury experience it advertises. Avoid it at all costs--it's not worth the money, the frustration, or the disappointment.
