The pool is small but fine for kids to play in, and the underground parking is nice to have. No breakfast. I'd give the accommodations two stars, but the location really is convenient.

As soon as you exit the front doors, you walk about 10 steps to a hallway that takes you to the complimentary ski valet, where they also have hot cocoa and cookies set out. About 100 feet straight ahead is ticketing and the gondola. The second day, our friend decided to come up and meet us. My boyfriend called up to check the price to upgrade to a room with a pull out couch for our friend and because there was a leak in our toilet, they gave us an upgrade to an incredible 1 bedroom with a fireplace, full kitchen and outdoor access to the pool and hot tubs. The staff was very friendly and we were greeted and asked how everything was going every time we left and entered. We will definitely be staying here again!

This is our…read morescenario: We purchased two 4-day seasonal passes, with the expectation of enjoying the benefits offered. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, my husband lost his job, prompting me to request a refund under the Epic Coverage Personal Event policy. Despite my timely submission, the request was denied, citing a narrow 30-day window requirement, which left us feeling disheartened. Our subsequent attempts to address this issue directly with Vail Resorts were met with obstacles and evasions, exacerbating our frustration. After persistent efforts, we finally managed to speak with a manager named Denise and Chad. Regrettably, instead of providing assistance or understanding, she adamantly cited company policy, offering no flexibility or empathy. This lack of compassion is particularly distressing given the significant challenges our family faces due to my husband's job loss. I am not even asking for my money back, but merely just an extension so we can use the pass in 2024/25. In the end the company will still get the money, so I am not sure what the big deal is.

Their staff are typically great, and their awards program destroys the other major hotel chains, so I'll stay loyal even though I have some bad experiences from time to time. They also say they're going to get the issues with this unit repaired. If you're considering renting a unit in the Vail 21 building, in summer, do yourself a favor and don't. Hyatt does not bother to put this on their site, but the units have no air conditioning. Coloardo is not exactly the moderate climate state it once was 30 or 40 years ago when this building was likely constructed; it gets pretty hot in the summer even up in the mountains. Temps hit 88 two of the four days I was there in June 2022, 82 and 87 the other two days. Next up; at least in unit 601, you have a total of four openings to the outside for cooling. The sliding doors on the main and master level, and the two guest bedrooms each have a window that only opens about four inches. If the wind doesn't blow the right direction, there is little to no movement inside. If you do have everything opened up, you get to listen to I70 all night long as the big rigs roll by, you may get a helicopter or two from either the Vail trauma center or the national guard training, and at 4am the birds start going crazy outside since sunrise is a bit after 5am. So we arrive, the unit is blazing hot. We attempt the 'natural air conditioning' procedure documented in the check-in pamphlet, i.e. open the windows at night, close and curtain during the day so you can't see the view you paid to see. Got zero sleep because the lower rooms were ~79, the master up top was a crisp 85 until about 4-5am when it hit 79. I was up all night because of the aforementioned issues, which is how I know. Toughed it out the second day, but changed my mind late afternoon and wanted a different room anywhere. Front desk didn't answer nor return my voicemail. I then discovered the floorboard radiators were on and super hot. Yes, 88 outside and the heaters were on... Call the emergency maintenance line, they can't send someone until the morning. Seriously. Maintenance shows up at 11am after repeated calls. They show me a secret panel you can remove from the wall to expose the hot water valves that allow you to shut down all the radiators, because the thermostat-controlled valves are broken, hence the heat even when I had everything set to off. So, with little sleep, days one and two were write offs. With the temps tolerable, we at least made the most of days three and four. Aside from the above, unit 601 is a good choice for 20 somethings in the winter ski season, but not much else. It's an odd mix of random things that were probably 'modern' a decade or two ago, but now just look out of place, and were not meant for commercial use, so they're mostly all beat up. You can't close the master, it just has a curtain down to the living room. The spiral stairs to it are impossible to walk quietly. It has a sink that splashes you when you use it because of the angle the faucet hits the slab style counter. The shower either blasts you with high pressure from the ceiling, or has a hand held that won't stay upright in its holder. Most of the outlets in the kitchen don't work. The guest bath has a 'modern' sink no one will be able to figure out. You'll never guess which light switches control what. There's no less than four separate thermostats. The TV's are super tiny and dated. Just a big disappointment.

It was clean, comfortable, and fully stocked with all the amenities. The condo was within walking distance to Lionshead and Vail village and there's even a free shuttle. A couple people in the group went skiing/snowboarding and had a blast. I wish we could have stayed longer, it was so fun!

We chose Vail Resort Rental, which is the same as Sun Vail, over any other rental provider…read morebelieving the service would come with minimum quality standards and good service, otherwise, why not just go with the Airbnb or VRBO? Wrong assumption we've learned the hard way. on Dec 30th, 2018. We paid a top price on a 2-bedroom apartment for 5 days, and we regretted the moment the elevator door opened at the apartment floor. Licking stains on the wall, asphyxiating smoking smell and an unhanded looking hallway. The apartment 211 is a complete disappointment and a very low-bar offer by the Vail Resort Rentals: old old old, smell like old, the fridge makes a noise because it's from the 80s, stove and exhaust fan are also from the 80s, the bathrooms faucet, and shower are from the early 80s). The carpet is disgusting and the towels (stiff, small, and thin), pillows, and sheets lowest quality than from any Holiday Inn. This property could not be rented by Vail Resort Rentals, a company which supposedly provides good properties to rent,; instead, this property could simply be on Airbnb or vrbo, platforms that don't pretend to provide anything else than a means between landlord and tenants. For health issues, the smell is unbearable, trigging my husband's and my allergy. The smell is the non-negotiable item. Do yourself a favor, don't pay $999 per night here, don't trust the name this company used to inspire the customers, don't deal with "There's nothing we can do", "My manager has the day off today and tomorrow", "We've never had problems before", "I'll have the housekeeping take a look" (the housekeeping crew has a limit to what they are able to do in a 30+ year apartment). Instead, invest the exact same amount staying at The Marriot Vail Mountain Resort, a 5-star hotel for the same price. You will get what you want and the value your money worth. Most importantly, you will then enjoy your stay, be in a clean and healthy space, and be comfortable.

We have stayed in a different condo years past that was beautiful here in this same building. So it was disappointing to pay the same price and to stay in this run-down one. When we told the front desk about all the problems they looked at us like "And you want us to do what?" So that is when I decided to leave this review. We will definitely be shopping around for a different company next fall when we come to Vail again.

The unit I was in was very nice with a great view of the mountain, 7th floor is the best because you can look out over the building next door. The parking is included in the price of the condo, which is great because some of the places we have stayed in charge for parking. Parking can be a little full at times and you may have to park on the lower level, but the elevator is right their and easy to get to. Would recommend.
