Probably more like 3.5 stars. The rooms were a little dated, and considering the price I paid, I was expecting a little bit more. Some highlights: *The customer service was great however, and the girl who checked us in was more than friendly. *Our room had a great view of the mountain side and was quite big. We ended up getting a two room suite - one living room with pull out couch and bathroom and one adjoining bedroom with slightly larger bathroom. The beds were comfy and I have no complaints here. Unfortunately my brother's flight was cancelled with the Atlanta/N.Carolina snow storm and he wasn't able to make it and we enjoyed the oversized room by ourselves. *There are ski lockers downstairs which is helpful but we ended up just checking our skis overnight at the base of the River Run Gondola (honestly how to people trek these things around with no oxygen! lol). *There are 3 hot tubs spread around the hotel. I didn't use any of them, but my parents enjoyed the one on the roof. Some lowlights: *Parking was the worst part, there were only a handful of spots and if you had to use the free valet it was a pain getting the car, despite being asked ahead of time what time you would like it back. *Free breakfast was included in the room price, but my parents warned me that it wasn't anything special and it was worth going down the road a big to the Haywood Cafe. I'd stay here again, but I'd also look into something slightly cheaper. Unfortunately for mountainside lodging (and it being a holiday weekend) this is about as cheap as it gets (and that was an arm and a leg). Don't trust Yelp/Siri or any other map to get you here. Look for the big "The Inn" signs. Siri thought this place was about 1/2 mile north of it's actually locatation. read more

Holy badreview batman! This place is so undeserving of such a low star rating. I stayed here for a full week and absolutely loved every bit of it. The Inn at Keystone has a really nice view of the mountain, some of the runs as well as a nice river that runs near the property between the mountain and the Inn. The rooms were comfortable, lighting was great, and the shower pressure was good. I love how they had amenities like shampoos and lotions stuck onto the wall for easy dispensing. I also liked how they had lotion everywhere because they knew it was dry there! The group rate was phenomenally cheap I thought for a place of this caliber and overall the daily breakfast was yummy and the bartender is funny. I spent quite a bit of time in my room and in this hotel for the week long conference so I thoroughly enjoyed every part of it! I really like the Inn and I am actually planning to stay here when I return. Parking can sometimes be a pain so get back early! read more

Pretty good deal. I stayed 4 nights here to attend a conference held in the Keystone Resort. $157/night for a single room but my room had 2 beds. Clean and decent room with a bath tub, plenty of shampoo/conditioner/body soup/facial soup, TV, free wifi, chocolate chip cookies at the check-in, water bottole, and every day different kinds of energy bars were on the table. The heater was too strong at night and I woke up in the middle of the night every day becuase big fan noise was made every few hours. My family and I stayed at The Inn at Keystone last week for 5 nights. It was wonderful! The hotel was clean and quiet. All of the staff was very friendly and helpful. The shuttles made it so easy to go anywhere we wanted to, as well as the convenient paths behind the hotel. The view was gorgeous and it was refreshing to step out the backdoor of the hotel into the deck or directly out to the bike path and to be right in such a natural and beautiful setting. One unique encounter that we had was noticing the herb garden growing amongst the beautiful flowers on the deck and then seeing s chef from the kitchen come out to pick herbs to use for the dinner meal. Very cool! Our entire experience was positive and we are hoping to plan a trip back to Keystone very soon. The highlight of our trip was seeing moose right out behind the hotel in the early morning hours(6:00-6:30) 3 mornings while we were there! read more

I'm not sure if the other newer reviews are either from people who stayed on newer, updated floors or if people are just less picky than I am. Hmmm.. not sure. Overall, I think this is a decent place to stay in Keystone. The rooms are basically clean, the hotel bar is fairly nice. The food is okay (nothing to get excited about). We got a room with a mountain view (I would suggest it), but it had two double beds, one of which was broken-- you sat on it and it sagged weird. So we just slept on the other bed. The shower sucked. The shower head was circa 1986 and you'd get more water pressure out of a sprinkler. They claim it is within walking distance of a ski lift (if you want to walk a mile with boots, skiis and everything else), but already winded from the altitude, we ended up driving down the street to the River Run resort (which I also would suggest). Overall, this is not the worst place to stay, not the nicest place to stay... but if you aren't able to stay on the property, it's not bad. read more

This is THE WORST hotel I've stayed at in a long time. It is summer and they do not have air conditioning in the rooms. Not good if you have summer allergies. They have fans that push outside air in but mine decided to turn into a heater in the middle of the night. So I had to open both windows and listen to a noisy fan they brought up for me. So needless to say no sleep. There is one mediocre restaurant at this location. They provide transportation to other parts of the resort but you have to stand on the highway for the bus as it won't actually drive down to the front door. The bed and pillows are hard and uncomfortable. The bathroom is designed with the cheapest materials and includes pump bottles of generic soap, shampoo, etc. There is no pool here but there are a couple of very small outdoor hot tubs I haven't tried yet. I do not understand how this is a popular location. I stayed here because I had to for a convention but I wouldn't do it again. Update: their solution was to move me to the Lodge which is a LOT better. Still no A/C so allergies still miserable but they did include a nice, quiet circulating fan. There were food options, pool, spa, and fitness center. The bathroom was actually updated within the last decade so the shower is more pleasant. Made the rest of my trip much more pleasant. I don't get the bad reviews. Did this place get a remodel?? It was a very nice hotel, so close to Keystone with a really nice bar and restaurant downstairs. A better than 3 star hotel, and the hot tub was literally across from our room. DIsregard the shitty reviews, if you want a place close to Keystone that won't break the bank this would be it. However if you are looking to eat breakfast quick then get on the mountain, wait and get it in the village..breakfast took a good hour from start to finish. If you don't need sleep, you can stay here. Nothing but partying in the hallways all night. I am using 3 noise makers plus earplugs and still get woken up by loud partying in the next door rooms or hallways at about 11 pm until 2 am or so. It's been an awful experience. Especially when you need to get up early for skiing. A similar response to me from customer service as to the other female customer below. I'm sleeping in the lobby tonight. They couldn't care less about my complaint. Only jack asses get decent treatment. The only thing you really need from an establishment like this is sleep. The gym, the breakfast, the decor... All that is secondary. If you can't sleep there, and the personnel won't do anything about it, then the place should be removed as an option. read more

Keystone is a gorgeous and relaxing ski town near Breckenridge. On the contrary, the Inn at Keystone is a filthy resort wannabe that should be avoided by all fellow yelpers. While the exterior of the building and the foyer/lounge area was actually quite cozy and clean, the rooms and other areas of the building were, in one word, GROSS. Not only did we confirm that our sheets were the same sheets that the previous night's guests slept in, we also found animal hair and pubic hair snagged in the blanket. The bathrooms were also dirty. Several strands of hair were stuck to the ceiling above the shower area and the towels in the basket were stained with fresh soot. For the first time in my entire life, I called the front desk about the situation and kudos to them, they came up right away to change the linens (well most, anyway, for the "didn't know" where the fitted sheets and pillow cases were at that time of the night). The bottom line on the Inn at Keystone is that it is dirty. It is also expensive at $200 per night. I stayed at the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs a few nights previous and for the same price, felt like pure royalty. The real sad story here is that I cannot even recommend this place to ski and snowboarding bums that just want a place to hang their snow boots after a long day on the trails. Motel 6, Days Inn, and even one of those crusty roadside hotels boasting "free HBO" would be a better choice. read more

I also had a great stay here. It's about a 4 minute walk to the Peru Express Lift and there is a ski rental location right around the corner from the hotel. It is an older hotel but you're in Keystone, you shouldn't be hanging out in the room anyways, right? Front desk girls were pleasant, upgraded us to a mountain view room and there is a breakfast buffet included with your stay. For all those complainers that the food is the same every morning, good lord...stay elsewhere then. Parking isn't ideal but when there aren't any spots, they valet for free. Can't go wrong with that. Don't trust Google Maps to get you here...especially driving late at night. We drove around River Run Village for a good 30 minutes before calling the hotel and then hopping back on Highway 6 - look for a blue sign that says "Inn". read more

This hotel is decent. I stayed here for four nights. They don't replace the coffee and tea that I used each, only once. A small feather from my down jacket fell on the floor on the day I checked in. It was still there on the floor the morning I checked out. Housekeeping does not do a good cleaning job. Also I dropped a used tissue on the floor next to my bed next to the wall and it was still there the whole time I was staying there. Normally I leave a couple dollars each day of my stay in a hotel, but this time I did not. The hotel provides breakfast. I had breakfast four times here. It was very decent but disappointing. I was up in Keystone with a conference. This showed up as the lowest cost lodging for that conference; it's on the shuttle line between the Lodge and the River Complex. It appears to be a no frills lodge but it has two great roof top hot tub patios and another rooftop lounging patio in addition to the Grill patio overlooking the beaver ponds and mountains on the south side. A trail along the creek takes you either direction, and one of the lifts is not far away across the stream and the parking lot for the lift. I think this was a great value even off-season. It was a basic room, not a lot of frills, but you could park your car and that's a big plus in my book. The views out the back side are stellar and you can hear the creek if you open your window: this is billed as a eco friendly lodge so don't turn on the noisy air conditioners, learn to open the windows at night and leave them open until morning to hear the rippling water all night. Close the blinds to keep out the afternoon rays when You are outside anyway. The staff is very energetic and friendly, and the advice on a good restaurant was right on. Not sure if the wi-fi is free because our group negotiates a multi-year contract and tries to get that in. The room was not old, smelly, dirty or out of date so don't know what's up with that. I had room 450 and knew people with two other rooms, no complaints. read more

We spent the extra money to get a spa suite when we went here for Christmas and it was SO worth it. The view of the mountain was amazing and even though the tub took a while to fill up it was exactly what I needed after a long day of skiing. We were able to get a great rate at the Inn a few weeks ago on a Friday night. So we headed out after work on Friday (along with everyone else in Denver on President's day weekend) and arrived right around 6. The guy who checked us in at the front desk was awesome. The parking lot was full, so they offered to valet park my car for free, and he told us to immediately head to the bar to get our free happy hour drinks since it ended at 6. We hurried upstairs to drop our stuff off and headed back to the bar. I wasn't overly impressed with the food at the bar - it was overpriced for the quality and quantity - even by Keystone standards. But the drinks were decent and the service was good. The bartenders were friendly and helpful. After a couple of drinks and some mediocre appetizers (see review by Shaun S.) we hit the hot tub on the 5th floor. This would have been amazing except that it was a very cold night and someone had left the cover open, so the hot tub was not nearly as hot as it could have been. There are hot tubs outside on the 5th and 6th floors with great views of the slopes and surrounding mountains. I was wishing we'd be there the following day to take advantage of the hot tubs after we skied, but we had to check out in the morning. As others have mentioned, this certainly isn't a fancy or high end hotel. But for the money we paid it was just fine. My big complain was that the bed wasn't very comfortable. I woke up Saturday morning with a sore back, but I probably can't attribute that all to the lopsided mattress. The location and service definitely make this a very attractive option for a night in Keystone - and I'm sure we'll be back. read more

We booked this place last night on our way back from Aspen, hubby had a meeting in Keystone the next day so we decided to stay here. I went on Bookit, hotels.com and finally found this on Orbitz after taxes, total was $154 and change. With 10 resort fee for internet and parking. We arrived around 10pm and because we just booked it 2 hours prior had to wait for them to clear it because through orbitz it's a wholesale price. But it was less than 15 minutes and the front desk let us check in and told us to double check or credit card. He was really nice and the customer service was very helpful. He also gave us a mountain room on the 4th floor and the morning view was spectacular.. I took a few pics and posted them. I like how there's a basket in the lobby full of different granola bars..lol I too several of them last night and this morning just to munch after breakfast. What can I say, they didn't have a gift shop, so yes I did kind of free load it..lol the rooms are really comfortable, except for their pillows.. These were too puffy and hard, but that is my only complaint. Our stay overnight into the afternoon was great!.. While the hubs was at his meeting, I was catching up on my school work and relaxing in the room. I only wish they had a little gift shop, but understand it's small. But they do have a great place to eat where we had a hearty breakfast and a decent price. So all in all our stay was pleasant and I would stay here again. read more

I recently stayed here for a 3 day 2 night trip with my boyfriend to Keystone, CO. Pros When we arrived they lady gave us a complimentary lift ticket for night skiing/snowboarding and free ice skating for 2! AWESOME! They have free continental breakfast every morning which is great! No need for me to look for a place to eat before I go out to do winter activities. They have a great variety of things to eat from potatoes, eggs, cereal, make your own fruit parfait, to bagels and muffins. The hotel is walking distance to all villages (about 15 mins) but the shuttle is also right in front of the hotel! Cons You can hear the plumbing from other rooms! It's really loud, so if someone is taking is a shower at 5am it'll wake you up that early! The heating system is old. It only has 3 functions: cold, warm, hot. Don't set it at hot because you'll burn in the room! We set ours in between cold and warm because it just got really hot in the room even though it was only 9 degrees outdoors. It's a nice place to stay and I'd stay here again. read more

If you are looking for luxury, this property is not it. While it's nice, and the employees at the front desk and housekeeping are nice, it is a much older property...a bit dated actually. Our room was very dusty. Should you decide to stay here, don't get a room near the elevator. The hydraulic oil smells like rotten eggs, and it could be smelled in our room. Also, if you are not a fan of dogs, this property is not for you. I encountered a Rottweiler and a Husky. The restaurant service was great, the dinner was good, but the free continental breakfast was not good. On a positive note, the view from our room was amazing! This year was my first time experiencing the Denver, Golden, Keystone areas and I have to say it was an amazing time! We set out towards Colorado with no reservations & not really prepared for what Colorado had in store for us. We decided to say in the Keystone area for a few days & after driving around for 15mins in the area trying to find a place to stay we passed this Inn & decided to see what we could get. After some checking we were given a Suite room for the price of a regular room for the 2 nights we stayed due to previous reservations (bonus!). The guy behind the counter was friendly, per my Husband. Their parking lot, yes is small, but we did not have any problems finding a spot when needed. I have no complaints about the rooms, we're not staying at a state of the art Ski Lodge people, the entire hotel is very comfortable feeling. It was quiet most of the time, although we were gone during the day & returned evening time. The staff at the hotel was awesome, an upper 20's group I would say, they were helpful with recommending places to eat (other than their own) & visit. The only issue we had was not being able to eat at their in house restaurant, they had an issue to where they were unable to cook anything Hot for the evening. The nice thing about this area are the other restaurants close by. The bar in the lobby has a local pub feeling, everyone was laughing & having a good time when we arrived back after eating out. I would absolutely recommend this place to travelers, our room was nice, the staff was awesome, the location is perfect, it was a very good experience for us!! read more

This is a great place to stay if you value staying close to the ski slopes, don't care that much about having a fancy hotel room and want to bring a dog. It was all of those things for us! Dogs are welcome in all places except the dinning room, and can stay in the rooms unattended (which a lot of hotels don't allow). When running into hotel staff, they always gave my dog treats and lots of love. They are very sweet people. Breakfast was good, but it would have nice to have a few more options for vegetarians (one day there was meat in the eggs) and have the hot tea/coffee out all day long. That's why I would put this at 4 stars. Would have also been nice to have a microwave in the room (there is one on the lower level where the vending machines are). It is a rather old hotel but it's a great location--very close to Mountain House base area. read more

For the $300 we paid to stay at this hotel last night, I feel totally robbed. The staff was so rude and gossipy, very unhelpful. The hotel was dirty. Our room had stains all over the bathroom. Great price, helpful staff booked me in day of and accommodated my early check in when I told them our situation. The young lady who checked me in was super friendly and helpful with telling me where to eat around the hotel, and we were given fresh baked cookies! Yummy too!! The room has a gorgeous mountain view and was very clean and good sized. There were a few different hot tubs on site, including the roof top one we took full advantage of!! Our stay in Keystone would have been near flawless if we didn't encounter the receptionist at the Inn at Keystone. The rooms were average, the bar was fine but the lady at the front desk was a complete psycho. Honestly can't believe she would even consider working in the service industry. No patience, quick tempered and rude. She made us feel completely unwelcome. The only reason why we stayed here is because it was part of a river rafting package with AVA. The property is basic and what you might expect from a 3 star hotel. The rooms are pretty basic-cream walls and linens, hotel carpet and artwork, beige curtains with a functional and clean bathroom. Overall, clean and pleasant but nothing noteworthy. The view is a bit of a game changer. Our room faced the mountains and creek and it was soothing to listen to the creek at night with the windows open. We also liked the availability of recycling and other green features. Another plus is that they allow dogs on the2nd floor for $25/night. We were also pleasantly surprised by the customer service after reading other reviews. Overall, I had a good experience at this hotel. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and made some good recommendations on where to eat/drink. The rooms were nothing special, and we did not have any issues as other reviewers have said. Everything appeared clean and I didn't feel gross. My only gripe, which is a small one, is the heating/cooling system. There is no thermostat, only a space heater window unit with knobs for a fan and hot/cold. Obviously an older appliance and it was difficult to maintain consistent temperature in the room. Not a huge issue though, as we spent most of the time skiing, boozing, or sleeping. Complimentary water bottles were replaced every day and there were granola bars at the desk in case of hunger. The hotel lobby is small and cozy. Parking was never an issue as they have both covered parking and a small lot. The hotel has 3 (!) hot tubs, all outside and on different floors. We sat in the one on the 5th floor after a long day skiing. It was perfect! The stars were out and it faces the slopes, so we could see the night skiers and the snow cat machines. Went down to the bar/restaurant in the hotel one night for some seafood at Summit Seafood Co. Sat in the bar area and enjoyed $5 martini's before we at king crab legs ($37), seafood chowder, and hot wings. The crab legs were huge and meaty. The chowder was delicious and had lots of seafood meat chunks. The chicken wings were very meaty and the sauce had a good amount of spice, but not too much. Overall, a delicious meal (surprisingly). I would stay at this hotel again. We got a $125 rate for two nights. The hotel was easily accessible and one can walk to the slopes/lifts. There are eateries, bars, and grocery available within walking distance. River Run village is just a short car drive away ( less than 5 minutes). Overall, a good place to stay. read more

After my disgust with the rooms I went to cancel my reservation and there is a 30 DAY CANCELLATION POLICY. So I would still be on the hook for the deposit, which was $10 less than the actual room. We experienced nothing but regret during our 4-night stay with this hotel. Overall Impression: A very poorly designed and operated business which left us feeling like an inconvenience, despite the higher end pricing for the "resort" and its "amenities." Staff: Rude and unwelcoming upon our arrival and check-in. Bar staff was uninformed and poorly trained on their craft. Guest services ignored our questions and were bothered by requests for valet. Black Bear Grill wait staff was disinterested in our guest experience and clearly wanted to just go home for the night. Room: Our King Suite was clearly two identical rooms with an added door connecting them. Therefore, we had two full bathrooms and two huge closets which was completely unnecessary for a 2-person room. One of the toilets barely flushed. We had no microwave. The TV service was slow and took multiple tries to sync up. No thermostat so energy was wasted on room temp. Toilet didn't flush properly. Sink didn't work at times and water temp was not consistent. Food: The hotel restaurant, the Black Bear Grill, provided the worst food I have ever received at a hotel, for both continental breakfast and regular restaurant service. Breakfast was NEVER fresh, hot, or stocked. Other guests and ourselves constantly had to ask for basic necessities like plates and silverware. Low quality food that is hastily put together with a facade of "luxury." Burgers and nachos burnt beyond ability to consume. We were given less than the advertised wing amount. "Signature Sauce" for burgers is a typical salad dressing. Terrible experience and impression. Parking & Valet: Little to no parking. Advertised "covered parking" but there are only about 15 spots. "Valet" service didn't even move my car to a safe and secure place. It was left in a parking circle both nights and they merely "stored" my keys. Other: Our suite didn't come with a microwave and the only one provided is located in the parking garage with the vending machine. This is sketchy, awkward, unsanitary, and incredibly inconvenient. Only two elevators for 6 floors of rooms and parking garage access, which are incredibly slow and a hassle to coordinate moving luggage and gear. This hotel is clearly mot prepared to handle volume or provide quality experience in any way. read more

If you can get a mountain view room, do it. The rooms are okay and with few frills, a little outdated but the beds are comfy. It was awesome that the hotel had 3 hot tubs. The bar downstairs was fun...the staff was friendly and attentive and accommodating. In fact, everyone working was there was friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my stay at the Inn at Keystone for many reasons- proximity to the slopes, friendliness of staff, cleanliness of rooms to name a few. We had a gorgeous view of the mountains from our room, which I'm sure is available at every room since there are mountains completely surrounding the property. There is a shuttle that stops right in front of the Inn that will take you straight to the slopes, and it's also a fairly short walk if you prefer that. We were also big fans of the complimentary breakfast! It was great. All in all, this is a great place for a reasonable price. read more

I had a great stay with my partner and my dog! My 4 star rating is based on the fact that I got what I expected + a bit more. I mainly chose this place because it is dog friendly. I wasn't expecting much; just a bed and a quiet place for my dog to hang out while we hit the slopes. Our room was clean (no bugs that some other reviewers unfortunately experienced), we had a nice time at the bar (free drinks offered), and made good use of the hot tubs (they've got a few on various levels). Location was very convenient - we were able to pick up a pizza, walk over to the dive bar, and pick up some extra beers across the street. Didn't have any food, so my review does not include any of that. While certainly not luxurious, it was a pleasant stay. read more

Clean, quiet, dog friendly(in bar as well) and customer service was top notch. Aleks was great bartender, Sandy and new Chef have amazing menu at low price. A must see before hotel/restaurant prices rise as they deservedly should. read more
