We spent two nights in the back country suite and absolutely loved it! It is so cute, well decorated, and has its own private use of the hot tub. I had to take one star off because the hot tub was more like a cold tub... it had lukewarm water :-( Fireside Inn is in a very good location with an easy walk to downtown. I would definitely stay here again! Attached is a picture of our homemade breakfast :)

I've stayed here twice over the last few years. I've always been comfortable and well taken care of. The other guests have been a delight to kabitz with. The owners are nice, hardworking folks from the U.K. and they have made the inn as homey as can be. All the best from Santa Barbara!

I spent a few wonderful days in Breckenridge visiting my daughter. Madi was such a great host and made me feel at home! The room was clean and cozy. I was lucky enough to have a room with a beautiful view. This will definitely be my home away from home when I visit again.

The place and staff were great. However, I followed their VIP parking directions and ended up with $250 worth of fines. I attempted to call numerous times and the owners are either unethical or completely absent. If you are offered a green parking pass and told to park in the French St lot, do not do it!

I've stayed here more than once, both in the hostel-style dorm rooms and private room (sweetheart room with my wife), most recently. Niki & Andy are both very friendly, hospitable and professional. You'll be looking forward to breakfast in the mornings, and the coffee is not just acceptable - its GOOD (via french press). Tea also available. Everything here is clean and tidy. I noticed there are more signs now than during previous stays, but they all relate to basic common courtesy and manners. Evidently some people need it in writing. We would both recommend and use fireside again were we in the area. Thanks for the hospitality!!

Top class accommodations for much cheaper than I was fearing for Breck. The common areas help you meet other cool people.

A private bathroom in the room and a small kitchenette. We asked about the rooms when we got there. The site was confusing. We thought it was a shared bathroom for everyone. That's not the case. Most rooms have their own bathroom. The staff is very personable and helpful for local tips. The breakfast was very good. They cook a hot breakfast to order. Our first morning there, we had a hiccup and I think we were forgotten about after we ordered food. We waited an hour and finally left. We were so late getting on the mountain. We didn't get our first run til 11. Other than that one issue, everything has been great and the breakfast the following two mornings came out within mins. I think it was an honest mistake but we all just brushed it off. Thank you, Claire for your hospitality. You made our home away from home very comfortable. I had to write a review. This was so worth it. I looked at the reviews before we came to see how the beds are. The mattress is comfortable in the room we had. I didn't wake up feeling like I was hit by a bus. They have an entire dvd collection that we put to good use. The town is very cute and great food locally. There is a bus that will shuttle you to copper and breck. The hot tub fits about 6 in there. Very nice to have after a day of boarding. Thank you Frisco Lodge. We will definitely be bs

Our room had a shared bath with 4 other rooms. But we never ran into a problem. There were 2 bathrooms for 8 rooms upstairs. A few also had their own en suite. The room was well appointed, the hosts were delightful and full of recommendations for the village. The courtyard is adorable but it was a bit too chilly to spend much time there. Walking distance to everything in the village. And breakfast was SO good. They went out of their way to offer vegan and gluten free options which was so kind. Even had handmade lattes and barista drinks by request. All included!

Like a well-oiled machine, the amenities and staff reflect a masterfully run operation. Tasteful decor and clear signage welcome you to relax, enjoy their afternoon wine and tapas or schedule a massage. It's very clean and appointed nicely. Touted as the ONLY Inn within the United States which roasts its own imported coffee beans, I can attest to the deliciousness of these beans. My favorite was the Brazilian Light Roast as it was smooth and rich. One can grab a mug and have hot coffee or tea or any of their multiple beverage selections for a small fee. As it's currently winter, the indoor spaces have warm fireplaces and cozy chairs and tables to relax by. One can borrow a DVD for their room or exercise in the basement activity room. Our room was extraordinarily cozy with an amazing and comfortable king size bed with fresh bedding as well as a little electric fireplace and lots of lighting options. A white noise machine was made available as were fans and robes and bathroom amenities. I really enjoyed not having to carry around a key in my pocket or even a rfid card as the rooms have codes on the electronic locks. Very intelligent design. The kitchen offers a plethora of delicious items included with our reservation as well as food for purchase and every morning one can choose a hot meal prepared however you like as well as hot oatmeal, various cereals and yogurts and fresh fruits. It's quite delightful and convenient. The owner Bruce and his staff are always available to satisfy your every need and make sure you're comfortable. I give high praise for this elegant and well run facility and would love to one day own and run a place just like this!

We selected the separate cabin in the meadow for our two day stay. Initial appearance was exciting but once we occupied unit we found how lacking it was. It is billed as small and intimate but we found the place "just" dirty and tried to overlook it. Clean towels and sheets were provided. Screen door did not fit so bugs, gnats, flies and moths inside. Had a King bed but for us the mattress was too soft. Very low toilet and small shower. Hot tub in room puts off odor and cycles throughout the day - meaning it comes on 2-3 times at night in a very quiet setting. Local water tasted and smelled terrible...so bring bottled water (some provided). Two FOLDING chairs provided for deck which needs upkeep badly. When we arrived we had no clue where to go for check in. - which door? 9am breakfast is too late for us and was ok. Visiting with other guests always a plus. The Elk in the meadow was a real plus too.

The bride and groom had their own cabin in the meadow -- so romantic! What a charming place! My husband and I stayed in the Colorado Sun room, which had so many amenities: a kitchenette, private hot tub, double-sided fireplace, two-person shower, and even a sauna! The whole B&B had just a ton of history and character. The furnishings were all super comfortable, with a relaxed, rustic vibe. A few things needed some updating and fixing, though. There was no hot water from the kitchen sink of our room because the little under-sink water heater was broken. One of the baseboards had come lose in the bathroom and there was tons of mold on the drywall. The water up there is well water, and it was incredibly soft; hard to wash the shampoo out of your hair, and it tasted NASTY. Definitely consider bringing your own bottled drinking water if you're going to stay a few days. The breakfast part of the bed and breakfast was pretty good. Two of the staff came up each morning to cook and serve hearty potatoes, sausage, eggs, fruit salad, coffee, orange juice, etc. It wasn't particularly good, but it was nice to have a hot, served meal that wasn't pizza delivery. We ate breakfast outside, where the bees were a nuisance because they wanted all of our food. We had just a fantastic weekend up here! Definitely the best wedding I've ever been to. I would highly recommend Meadow Creek for events of all kinds, but especially if you want to rent out the whole place.

Tip: Call to reserve late checkout at 1:30 for $30. First come first served. Otherwise checkout is at 11 AM. It was nice to enjoy coffee in the lodge after a late night concert. Worth it to take the shuttle (mini school bus with a couch and disco balls!) for $15/person to be dropped up at the top of Red Rocks - beats the long line walking up. $25/person pick up - approx 10 min walk but it's all downhill to the party bus and seemed way safer than all the taxi drivers in your face outside of the amphitheater. Brooks is awesome and takes care of you!! We stayed in the Rose Retreat again. It's a small room, but I love the big shower and mini fridge with Brita. The window air conditioning unit kept the place nice and cool with it being 95° outside. Private hot tub and robes in the closet. Breakfast is included. Order at check-in and enjoy the next morning. This isn't a super nice or updated space, but we had everything we needed for our mixed bag of early 30s friends. My friends and I stayed in the Stone St. cottage, which is heavily Grateful Dead/psychedelic/ classic rock themed. The room is listed as sleeping 3, which we did on night one, but easily slept 4 on night 2. The grounds were so charming and eclectic. The cottage we were in was a little wonky and slanted on the floor, but the rooms were clean, the shower worked great and we had more than what we needed. We checked in super late in the darkness so we didn't get to experience a normal front desk check in, which I'm sure would brief us on procedures like pre-ordering breakfast the night before, but the staff was so accommodating when we showed up hungry and ordered bacon, eggs and potatoes in the AM. Mary was the cook and she was rad, quick witted and whipped up a lovely home cooked breakfast. There are 2 dogs (that we met) on site names Shokti (gorg white husky queen) and Mr. Dog (precious, hilarious chihuahua businessman) and we loved to pet and visit with them while in the main lodge. That space is incredible: kitschy, eclectic, trippy and warm, just like our whole stay! I could go on forever about how adult-summer-camp-esque the grounds were! Every cottage is themed, though we only entered ours. The covered hot tub was a crucial touch for our group in the crisp 50 degree weather to take a morning dip and unwind after the show. I'm unsure if all cottages come with hot tubs so definitely confirm if that's something you're interested in. The walkability to all the necessities and some breweries/ eateries was appealing when we had time to kill. Cliff House offers a shuttle to and from Red Rocks for a fixed price per rider. The shuttle to the venue leaves 15 minutes prior to doors which was a little late for us, so we opted to take the shuttle back and it was a highlight of the trip. Brook's organized the shuttle, sent us incredibly detailed instructions on where/ how to find her in a short, yellow school bus. I especially appreciate the details because we had been drinking etc and needed the depth of care taken to make sure we found her! The bus was stocked with beverages and we played music and just bopped down the hill, laughing our butts off. This was such a fun stay for us and it was thanks to the grounds, location, home cooked breakfast and tea in the lodge, Mary, Brooks, Shokti and Mr. Dog. I will recommend to anyone I know traveling that way!
