The breakfast was simple but had healthy choices--yogurt and fruit--perfect for days of hiking and exploring. We also enjoyed the excellent coffee. Easy access to walking in the beautiful, unique, and historical town of Minturn--restaurants nearby as well as a fly fishing shop (which used to be a saw mill). It isn't far from Vail and so there is plenty to do! We definitely would stay here again! It truly was an epic Rocky Mountain setting.

Last time I stayed at the Turntable, the police arrested a woman across the hall for violating a restraining order that her boyfriend had placed on her. Minutes before the police came knocking on the door, the boyfriend was overheard saying "Baby, let me in. I've got something for you. Come on baby! There are cops roaming around." So yeah, there might be some druggies, some illegal immigrants, but at under $50 for a double bed and a less than 10 minute drive to the best ski resort in the country, you can't go wrong. Don't forget to stop by the restaurant and check out their Elvis collection?! For some reason, they're proud of it.

I asked the clerk if we could check out and get some kind of receipt to prevent further charges, but she had no clue what we were talking about. She refused to give us anything in writing, so I wouldn't be surprised to find extra charges from this shady business. After all, this whole town seems actively hostile to anyone who isn't a local. Oh, and you'll get towed if you park in half the spaces in their lot.

From the crew at the valet station, the concierge desk (who host daily après ski hot chocolate and fresh-baked cookie parties!), the housekeeping team, the ski valets, the spa attendants, and all of the wonderful F&B folks, the service here is impeccable. The hotel amenities include an elegant spa, well-equipped gym, pilates and yoga studios, heated salt water pool, and three infinity hot tubs that are perfect for après ski soaking. Of particular note, the Westin has updated its Ski Valet shop which offers faultless service for those availing themselves of the Beaver Creek Ski resort. We had several dignitaries in our party - two Senators, a US Attorney, and a Fox News commentator - and Sonja saw to it that consideration was made for both their privacy and security. They should just say it is $50 for "parking" versus "valet." My bed was comfortable. The room had a little kitchen: a coffee maker, glasses, plates, cups, flatware, a little fridge and a microwave. There was a fireplace. I had a tub and a nice vanity to sit at to get ready. I could open the windows to let outside air in, which was lovely. Front desk staff were kind. They actually texted me before arrival to see if there's anything I wanted in my room, which was appreciated and kind.

In my previous interactions, front desk staff have always acknowledged guests, even when they were busy. Because of this, I was confused as to why I was not acknowledged while I waited. I then began working with another front desk agent who was already helping me address the issue. While I was speaking with that agent, Jonathan returned and interrupted the conversation to explain the issue. At that point, I was already receiving assistance, so the interruption made the interaction feel even more confusing and disorganized. I also spoke with Madison about a hold showing on my credit card. She told me there was no hold, even though I could see the hold in my credit card app. She said she would send a message to Accounting and have someone contact me to discuss it further. Unfortunately, I never received a call or any follow-up from Madison or Accounting. Overall, the experience was frustrating because there seemed to be a lack of communication and follow-through. A simple acknowledgment from Jonathan, allowing the other agent to finish assisting me without interruption, and following up as promised regarding the credit card hold would have made the experience feel much more professional and organized.
