The Horseback riding was a great experience. Jackie got us geared up to ride JT and Rose. We learned all about the ranch during our ride. We had a great time thanks to Jackie for her guidance. We would definitely return for another ride or taking lessons.

If you are interested in horses and camping this is the place for you. This old home stead (1906) has the original feel and character of the old west. MANY of the original building still exist. There is horse back trail rides, hiking, fishing and even a chuckwagon dinner on Saturday nights. Most camp site have a pen in the back to keep your horse. FANTASTIC location , WONDERFUL staff and just a great place to be. Just west of Colorado Springs, deep in the mountains

Bite mark from one of their tour horses.

First the good: Beautiful location, clean, well maintained grounds, plenty of hiking, biking, moto trails. Easy access for large RVs, dump station on site, plus a couple shower houses. The bad: AVOID their horseback rides, especially with children. Safety does not seem to be a high priority at all and a child in our group was bitten by one of their horses while saddling up. We later learned that this particular horse is one of a few 'known problem horses' that they still choose to use in group rides. After the incident the staff didn't offer any first-aid assistance (not even an ice pack) but instead 'generously' offered to walk the child back to camp and waive the cancellation fee for his individual ride since he was in too much pain to continue.

Arrived here to drop off my sister who is going to work as a wrangler for the summer. It is a really cute place in the middle of beautiful scenery. I was prepared for the worst but the ranch is actually quite nice. We stayed in a very comfortable cabin named The Gambler that has one full bed and a set of bunk beds. There is a mini fridge, microwave, coffee pot and a jar full of cookies! We share a bathroom with one other cabin which isn't a big deal. The bathroom is pretty nice. There is a hot tub right outside our room but it is way too cold here right now for us to venture out. Later in the summer I imagine it will be quite nice. Our dinner was great and the staff was friendly!

Our family of four took a two hour trail ride with M Lazy C Ranch last Saturday. What an absolutely fantastic ranch, with an incredible family as hosts! Ron, Jake and Sarah were amazing guides on our trail ride. The horses were wonderful to ride, each with their own unique personalities! My horse for the ride was their mule Jim. Sarah was great with our kids, making sure they were comfortable and that they enjoyed the experience. And the scenery! You simply cannot beat the stunning scenery! I highly recommend the ranch, the staff, their horses and their trail rides! I'm putting a week's stay here on my bucket list for the future now!

There are so many facets of this ranch that I was unable to experience, so I cannot rate anything that I did not participate in. That being said, this review is for a private party of 4 sleigh ride in January, on a random Friday afternoon. Customer Service: 5 stars I emailed "Ann", who was super sweet, about reservations for our group the day before concerning a sleigh ride. She promptly emailed me back all the info I requested & a price list of what they had to offer. When we arrived, "Ann" greeted us & took care of the waiver & fees. She led us to a family room where we could wait until the sleigh was ready & escorted my mom to the ladies room. The Sleigh Ride: 4 stars Ok, I seriously want to give this part of our excursion 5 stars but due to the length of the trip, I cannot justify 5 stars. We literally went several hundred yards!!! Then, got off at a dining hall & had some really delicious cocoa(Swiss Miss with Peppermint Mocha creamer) & sweet treats (not homemade). Next, we branded a tree ornament made from wood while sitting around a campfire. This was very neat to me because you actually got to bring home a souviner. We were supposed to go back to the starting point after this, but my husband wanted to see the RV sites, which were another few hundred yards from the dining hall. The wrangler was very, very kind & personable & took us around the loop. Then, it was over! If it were not for that extra loop, we would have completed this little excursion in less than 1 hour. Did I mention for $140?? The ambiance, scenary, & cleanliness of the grounds, restrooms, etc: 5 stars I would do this excursion again, but in season, like in December when the rates were probably less expensive.

The sites are large and allow for privacy and the use of canopies and other outside gear. Close to numerous Colorado attractions including Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods, The Royal Gorge, etc. laundry and restrooms clean. Lots of wildlife and places in the RV park to walk. Couple of issues -road noise M-F from 7:00-4:00 as large trucks haul gravel from the quarry to town. The 2 lane road runs on the whole side of the resort. AND, we reached out to the advertised Colorado RV services to get some work done on our RV. They came by 2 times to meet with us but never gave us an estimate or touched base to schedule the work. We followed up numerous times. Our initial conversation was 7 weeks prior to our scheduled departure. This left a very bad taste in our mouths. Very bad customer service and follow up. We traveled in a 36 foot, class A.

Via e-mail, we were asked for info about our rig, and sent a link to complete a waiver. The e-mail stated a noon check-in time and had no further info about the check-in process. We provided the rig info and signed the waiver. The day before arriving in August, we were sent numerous text messages about a form, and the need to provide info about our rig. The text messages had check-in as Noon in one sentence, and check-in as 3:30 in another sentence. We called, got a nice person who spoke limited English. We were able to determine that they had received the form, but that they needed our rig information. Provided that again. She told us our site #'s, and said we would get a text with codes and check-in information. On the day of arrival, we got a text with the WIFI password and no further information. When we arrived, we could not find an office or staff. They Info on yelp states that there is a gift shop and boutique on site. That must have been when it was still owned by "Pamela". We finally saw a small sign with the instructions to just go to our site. About 1/2 hour after we arrived, a pleasant person stopped by with her infant to let us know she was the on-site manager, and to give us the code for the dumpster. She provided no further information or assistance. Sites 1-6 are COMPLETELY different than the website photos and the reviews, which were written a few years back when someone named Pamela owned and ran the property. These sites are VERY narrow. It took our friend multiple manipulations to pull in with his 5th wheel. These sites have no room for chairs or tables to sit outside. There was an old picnic table perched on the slope between sites 4 and 5. Significant literal trash at sites 1-4. A dead bird, dead vegetation, sewage pipes without caps, intense sewage smell. Very low water pressure. Unkempt weeds and sticker burr plants at our site, those next to us, and most of the places to walk the dogs. Buildings and grounds were trashy, run-down, dirty. We were traveling through for one night. We would strongly discourage others from staying here.
