BED BUGS!!!! BED BUGS!!!! BED BUGS!!!! Absolutely terrible experience! We stayed in Room 215 (checked in March 17). On the morning of March 19 my nephew and I woke up with multiple bug bites; on March 20 I found a live bug in the bed and another under the cover -- these were clearly bed bugs. I reported it to the front desk around 8:15 AM. Staff told us we would be moved to a new room around noon. By 9:30 AM we had vacated room 215 and were washing our all of clothing. There was only operational dryer. The front desk gave me $4 for laundry (about 9:15 AM) but would not provide additional funds and said to wait for a manager. We never heard from a manager EVER, received no further assistance, and I ended up spending $20 out of pocket to do three loads. We waited in the lobby all day and were not given a new room until 4:00 PM. Because of this we missed a scheduled ski day (two lift tickets, $584), incurred laundry costs and significant disruption to our stay. Additionally, the room was not properly stocked on arrival (no bath towels or soap -- only one bath mat, one hand towel, and one washcloth). Also, the furniture is worn out and nearly unusable and the towel bar was on the floor. This was extremely disappointing and stressful, especially as my nephew was here for spring break. The room was uninhabitable due to sanitation concerns and the staff's slow/inadequate response added to the disruption. We are local to the area, one of our local friends who knows the owner reached out to him on the day this all occurred and he told our friend "imma hook them up." (I have the screen shot from this convo.) HE NEVER CONTACTED US AND NEVER "HOOKED US UP." The front desk staff member told us they were going to give us a 25% refund but also failed to do that. I recently stayed one night in 3 Peaks Lodge before tackling a hike in the area. Check-in was a breeze; the employee already had my keys and paperwork in an envelope to the side and I just needed to provide ID and a card for the security deposit. The lobby wasn't anything super exciting. They did have a variety of tea bags out and a coffee station, but no cups to be seen anywhere. The room was standard. No frills, but we had a couch to throw some of our stuff on, a fridge with small freezer, and the bed was clean and surprisingly comfortable. I am someone who checks under the bed before going to sleep (..lol) and there was an empty iced tea bottle under there from a previous guest. The bathroom was pretty clean, with only some dust and maybe a stray hair or two on the wall by the toilet. Overall, for the price and location, I would say it is worth it. read more

After discussing this with the staff member and being referred to the manager, I got verbal confirmation of a full refund from the manager and stayed at a nearby hotel instead. We never checked in and did not stay here. Months later, 3 Peaks Lodge has still not refunded the amount after multiple attempts to contact them. There are several other reviews like this where the staff threatened guests, was extremely rude to guests, or walked into guests rooms unannounced. Do not stay here. OWNER TRIED TO WALK IN TO MY ROOM WHILE I WAS IN IT, HALF NAKED!!!! I am appalled by the guest service here. It is not just lacking, it is literally offensive. The owner tried to open my door while I was in the room half-naked. Afterwards, he said "it's cool" and not to worry about it. IT IS NOT COOL! He refused to apologize, expressed ZERO sympathy for putting me in a panic. I expressed that there were other issues with my stay. Kamil's response was to call me names and threaten me and insist that I leave. Before I could even get my bags packed, he had already fled the building. He is a coward who refuses to face the fact that he has not done a decent job preparing his lodging for guests. I have stayed here probably a total of 12+ nights in the past. I will never return. I have never found a less hospitable hotelier than Kamil Kowalewicz. His co-owners should be ASHAMED at how he treats guests. I hope they read this review. Kamil certainly has no shame. READ OTHER REVIEWS! I have seen MANY instances of people sleeping on the couches - BECAUSE NO ONE IS EVER AT THE FRONT DESK! God help you if there's a bona fide emergency. While conveniently located across from Keystone's Mountain House, this place left much to be desired. The mattress was probably the original one from whenever the motel was established and I didn't get much sleep as a result. One pillow case had a tiny blood stain and the sheets were pilling causing rough sheets, if you can imagine. There is dirt/dust inside the heating/cooling unit and it is not temperature controlled, so you decide if you want to be on fire the whole night or freezing. There were interesting scents through the whole place: mostly bleachy/moldy. The sauna appeared nice from initial inspection, but there was a gray ring of filth film around the perimeter and the chemicals were so strong my eyes are still burning 24 hours later. I paid $177 for one night here, $40 being a resort fee or something of the like, so if I'd paid $60-90, I wouldn't be writing this review as I would have expected those conditions. I think replacing old/worn out items would really help this place out. read more

Ok first the good. 1-It is pretty much a direct walk across the street (and a little ways over a bridge past some residential and restaurant areas) to the Peru lift and ski/ride school. Yay! 2-We had an issue with the tv not working and a guy came up and fixed it immediately. Cool! We got to watch an important game. 3-the fireplace in the lobby was pretty. 4-It was mostly quiet during our stay However we couldn't help but notice: hair in the bathroom, sticking to the wall. Ick. Marker drawings on the furniture, black spots (mold?) on the ceiling, tape on the latch/lock thing on the door (yeah, not exactly a safe feeling from that) dirty lobby tables that looked like old spills, cracked window in our room, not to mention some deadly looking icicles right above where people were walking. They also didn't let us check in about 45-50 minutes early. Check in time is 4:00, so don't expect a minute sooner than that time. Technically yes their check in time is set but many places let you check in early which is a nice perk. My young son sneezed like crazy once we entered the room and he really didn't stop until we would walk out of the room. Who knows what that meant. Overall the location is great but I don't think I would stay here again. This is a spot to stay if you're looking for no frills or perks but I like a few perks. They also advertised a continental breakfast thing in the morning and that is not happening. Although I may not want to eat anything here given the low level of cleanliness of our bathroom and the lobby tables. I usually bring disinfecting wipes to hotels to wipe certain things down, and I did this time too, only I used a lot more wipes than I normally would. read more

The heater runs really loud at night, surely to interrupt your sleep. But hey at least breakfast is included and the staff is friendly and nice! In general, a nice low cost option for lodging But the bed is too soft, absolutely no support and just caved in the middle On the negative side, In the morning, at 7 am, there was a dog left in a room crying continuously Notified the front desk (by phone, nobody at desk), but nothing changed. So it's a toss up between a 3 and a 4. 3 is an accurate number for the condition and what is offered. 4 because of the proximity to Keystone. So to be fair and maybe help with their overall score, I decided to choose 4 as the price was not bad for the location. Though if you're reading this far and are debating staying, don't expect much. When we first went into the room, I was a little nervous/turned off but overall, it's not bad. There is a microwave and fridge in the room as well as cable. The sink is in the room vs in the bathroom with the toilet and shower. The towels are small and thin but did the trick. Reviews led me to believe there would be a small breakfast spread. I expected nothing great based on the reviews but figured it would be sufficient for my 13 year old son. There was nothing. I don't know if this is because of Covid or that they simply don't offer it anymore. We spent minimal time in the room, so it was okay. The lobby had a nice fireplace and looked somewhat inviting, if you wanted to enjoy the fire or warm up. This is a no frills good spot if you want to walk (approx .3 - .4 miles from the lifts at the Mountain house base. I see this as a good option for a group looking for cheap lodging. College group? Or for a couple just looking for a cheap room close to the mountain. I would not want to stay here with young kids that crawl around and touch everything. read more

I am giving one star because it's impossible to give less. The mattress in the room we were given was literally on the floor with no frame. It was completely sunken in the middle and was the most uncomfortable night ever. They charged us $150 and we couldn't even sleep because of how terrible the conditions were. I called several times to talk this through and see if we could make this right. I was told that I would get a callback each time and no one ever even bother to return an email or a phone call even once. Most of the time when I call the phone just rings and rings and rings and finally goes to voicemail. There was no one at the front desk in the morning for me to talk to either. There is no coffee anywhere in this hotel not a coffee pot in the hotel room, nor one available in the lobby. You would think if you're going to give me the worlds worst bed, you would at least provide coffee in the morning. Boo! Just boo! We were locked out of our rooms at 11:30 p.m. Key cards didn't work. Not a big deal just go to the front desk. However the front desk isn't staffed! I waited 30 minutes (no one showed up). I called the emergency number posted on the front door and on the counter, and the phone rings in the drawer behind the counter. Finally at 1:00 a.m. me and some other helpful guests crossed the counter and tried to find a way to break in to no avail. My children and I had to sleep on the couches for 2 hours in the middle of a weekend night while a bunch of drunk people sauntered through. My kids were uneasy and had to be reassured. My daughter has to pee outside in the freezing cold between two cars while I held up a jacket to block the elaborate exterior camera network. A random dog escaped and joined us as refugees in our hotel. Finally, around 2 am a kind stranger (and grateful dog owner) let us sleep in his extra bunk beds. It was a very poor nights sleep. We were all too tired to ski the next day ruining our ski weekend. I wasn't able to retrieve our belongings from the room until 7:00 a.m. next day. I was assured I would be issued a refund. 11 days and three phone calls later I still have not received the promised call from the owner, nor any kind of refund. I am now going through the credit card company. I did get offered the excuse "we get a lot of requests for refunds so sometimes it takes a while to get a call back." The hotel is nothing nothing special. The management is abysmal. I definitely wouldn't stay here with children in case there's any need from the hotel staff. read more

They allowed people to party until 3 to to call three times folks were finally kicked out. I've asked for a refund for that night. I've been told numerous times it's been processed. When you call the front desk, there is no answer and then it says voicemail is full so you can't leave a message. I've sent numerous emails no response. The guy at the front desk. Continuously tells me oh I processed it and something went wrong just yesterday he said I'll process it manually- it will be there tonight. Obviously nothing processed. Place is a shit hole and they could care less about how your stay was. I am used to being told no but not used to being totally lied to and ignored. Avoid this place at all costs. I brought too many kids for just a couple beds and the manager, Kamil, immediately hooked us up to a suit- no questions asked- no extra charges. The entire staff was accommodating, kind, and super chill. They lent us sleds to go out, and went out of there way to do everything they could for us. Even on the last day when I misunderstood the out time and left two hours after checkout when they had guests coming in right behind us, they were nothing but kind and helpful. I hate to leave a bad review at a local business but our stay at 3 Peaks was disappointing to say the least. To start the owner/manager was blatantly rude. Our pillow had a suspicious brown drop on it, the sink was clogged, our top bunkbed fell through to the bottom bunk, our lamps was broken- overall the room was in poor condition. The lodge is right across from Keystone which is convenient but wow what a dump. Sucks to see a place with so much potential being run like this. read more

I am so irritated with this place! I made reservations October 29 for a January 7 th stay. I spoke to owner, Kamil. I called to cancel 11/23 (well within policy) and spoke to Jackie. My reservation was supposed to be canceled. I did not receive an email stating this, so I call back 11/24 and Jackie answered. She assured me "it's all taken care of." Fast forward to Jan 7. My son and I arrive in Colorado and I booked another place to stay. This was a mom and son adventure trip to the mountains. This lodge deducts $455 from my account 1/7! At that point it was still a pending charge, all he had to do was cancel pending charge and it would not have been deducted from my balance. This significantly decreased what I had avail to me while I'm with my young son on vacation. I called many times 1/8 and spoke to Jeremiah. He told me he was not able to refund my monies, only Kamil has authority to cancel or refund?! No return call from Kamil. I also sent him 3 emails showing him my call records, showing I called to cancel. No return email. Jerimiah says "it's all been taken care of. You have my word.". It's now 1/11, we are home and I have not received my money back. This is stealing. read more

Very very very friendly staff (family business) extremely reasonable price without have to pay all the dumb resort fees. Literally less then 5 minute walk to The Peru Lift. While passing through the Keystone area, we spent a night at the Alpine Slopes Lodge. We paid approx. $75 for the room with 2 queen beds. The lodge is located directly across the road from the Keystone ski area. We had a 2nd floor room which was very comfortable and quiet. Our window faced the ski area, with Hwy. 6 between the lodge and the ski area. I did notice a little traffic noise in the morning, but nothing that would keep me from staying here again. If that was an issue, you could always ask for a room on the backside of the building. Our room was very clean and included a refrigerator and microwave, with a small table. The bathroom is small with a separate sink area located outside of the bathroom. The lobby area of the lodge has a small dining area where they do a free breakfast (toast, bagels, coffee, tea, juice). The lobby area also has a nice seating area with a fireplace. There is a hot tub and sauna located on the lower level. There is a bar located across the street, and a couple business located next door, including a Subway sandwich shop. read more

This is a great place if you don't care about lodging and just want to ski, board, or snowshoe. I will say that the staff is amazing! I've now stayed here two nights in a row in two completely different rooms, yet the same room type. My kitchenette came with one pot, no pans, no plates, but 7 forks and spoons. Breakfast from 7-9am was open at 8am (a paper note was laid out informing us) and closed at 8:22am because they were out of items. But for real... great location and decent beds. Other chill people stay here. Just be prepared to smile and nod. Yup, $69/nt. read more

Clean, simple room consisting of a queen bed, two small tables and chairs, mini fridge, basic bathroom, and a little nook for your ski gear. There is a hot tub, free continental breakfast in the morning (bagels, oatmeal, fruit, tea, coffee), and free parking. Right next door to a rental shop (Mountain View Sports) where you get 25% off and a couple of restaurants (pizza, Mexican). Best part - about 5-10 minute walk to the Mountain House lift! Great value and spot for those looking to not spend a ton of time relaxing in their hotel. read more
