We got married here New Years Eve 2019 and came back for our anniversary 2/12/21. The food was even better this year. How is salmon on a buffet JUICY? The New York Strip was too! Everything else was pretty much the same- which was perfect. We met a group of people on our plane back that was wearing a 4 Eagle cap- in talking to them, they had a party of 36 people there the previous Wednesday night. They were socially distanced and had a fabulous time. Their concierge sent them there because they can accommodate large parties in accordance with Colorado mandates during covid. I want to mention that this ranch uses it's profits to feed the hungry, assist the elderly, help churches, and other organizations in the Vail Valley. For whatever reason you come here for- you are also helping people while enjoying yourself! Recap of our wedding day: We wanted a private yet intimate Christian ceremony, so the ranch got us a fabulous pastor, took us by sleigh out to meadow at about sunset with the mountains in the background and we were married with only 2 friends as witnesses. This is the best part- the two dining rooms were filled with families that were enjoying the sleigh rides and the seriously gourmet dinners while live music was playing. We had Bert in ours- and he chose a song for us which is now our song. "Better When We're Together". Music is a blend of songs you will know and love. Even sing along with! End of the story is this. Big weddings any season. Small weddings any season. Come here. For me, I had a couple hundred people at my wedding, spectacular food, live incredible music, a full bar with a great selection of wines, and personal customer service. Highly recommend!!! We visited 4 Eagle Ranch for the dinner/sleigh ride and it was the highlight of our trip! Beautiful ranch and easy to find through signage. The narrated sleigh ride was so relaxing and enjoyable and scenery was out of this world! The dinner was served buffet style and had something for everyone. Display was very appealing and atmosphere was warm and inviting. Live music was relaxing, not too loud, and perfect for the event. The cabin was beautifully decorated and staff was warm and very accommodating. My 7yo was offered "kid" options (hot dog, chicken strips) and enjoyed the ice cream bar. We made reservations for a wine tasting with Patrick at 4:30. We learned about how the wine was made and relished tasting several wines with snacks plus we even experienced how they bottled and labeled the wine. Of course we bought some wine to take home! We walked over to the dining hall at 6 pm for appetizers before we went on our first sleigh ride. We were given blankets and hot chocolate for the ride. Our guide explained about the ranch and area plus he answered all our questions. When we returned we devoured a delicious meal and enjoyed the music & entertainment. We were excited to take another sleigh ride in the snow before dessert and returned to more singing, visiting and fun. Our family was delighted with such a pleasant evening! Talk about a diamond in the rough! We have been going to Beaver Creek/Vail for many years...since I was a kid. We had never heard of this place before. Found it by doing a simple google search as we were looking for a fun dinner experience. Wow, this place was incredible. About a 20 minute drive from Beaver Creek/Avon and truly out in the middle of nowhere. Quaint little ranch with horse-drawn sleigh rides, bonfire, restaurant, bar and shop. We had a group of 7 and everybody loved this place. Delicious chili (vegetarian chili also) with amazing toppings. Yummy salad bar. Indoor fireplace and live music made for an amazing atmosphere. The dinner is served buffet style, but is much better than your typical buffet. No complaints at all. The service staff was attentive and friendly. We took a sleigh ride after dinner. Thick, cozy blankets were handed out. The sky was dark and clear and full of stars. Very peaceful and beautiful. Once we got back to the ranch there was warm blackberry cobbler with fresh whipped cream, or you could make s'mores by the outdoor fire pit. The shop had lots of ranch-style retail items including shirts, jackets and sweatshirts for the 4 Eagle Ranch. There was also a cute and uber-friendly ranch cat named Oreo. All in all, this place gets 5+ stars. We will definitely make this place part of our annual trip! read more

We made reservations for the cattle round-up. Our scheduled arrival time was at 8:30. We departed on time. The cattle roundup is several miles away requiring a van ride. There was lots of rain the week of our trip and the roads to the ranch were very slippery and adventrous (single dirt road with steep drop offs). Once at the ranch, we met our guide and were given simple riding instructions, then paired with a horse. All of the horses on our trip were easy to handle. The first portion is about an hour ride rhrough brush and hills to the upper meadows where the cattle are. We then spent an hour or so herding the cattle followed by another hour ride back. The scenery is absolutely amazing! The guide was very informative and entertaining. We would definitely do this again! read more

All in all, we enjoyed our evening at 4 Eagle Ranch and would consider returning. General Notes: (1) Although not explicitly advertised, some proceeds from the sale of each $80 ticket (for sleigh ride + dinner) are directed to the Ranch's ministry work. For example, we were told that some of our money was going to support work done on the Ranch to help veterans find peace through god. The website DOES say that the Ranch is run by the 4 Eagle Foundation, but it wasn't clear that we were in fact making a donation to the Foundation by partaking in the sleigh ride and dinner. (2) There's a cat that roams the dining area, jumping up on the benches and cozying up with guests. The good: The sleigh ride was lovely and everybody was incredibly nice. The music was wonderful and entertaining (albeit a bit loud) and the sirloin steak, chili, and quinoa were very yummy! The honey butter was DIVINE and making s'mores was cold but fun! We also enjoyed the spiced hot cocoa and cider that we brought with us on the sleigh ride. The not so good: The rest of the food was just ok. The flank steak wasn't that great and the ribs left a bit to be desired. For all the hype over the macaroni and cheese, we expected it to have more flavor. The bad: As mentioned above, some of the guest payment goes to ministry work. I came with a group of 7 - some of us religious, some not - we were all uncomfortable with the fact that our money was being used in this way without our knowledge. Advertising that the Ranch is run by the Foundation didn't signal to us that this would be happening - perhaps it should have? Maybe this was our bad. Also, even though there were 4 or 5 small children (ages 2-9, maybe) on the sleigh, the Ranch employee who told us about the ministry work talked about veterans "going into the guest house as broken, suicidal men with PTSD and no will to live, and emerging five days later as completely different men who found peace and comfort in god." It didn't seem like the mention of suicide or no will to live was appropriate, given the young audience - all of the adults understood what was implicated without the specificity. Last but not least, the cat in the dining room was cute, but uncomfortable for some of the folks in our group...if you're allergic, you may want to take some Benadryl before your visit. read more

We went horseback riding at Triple G and it was outstanding. It was myself, my wife, our 10 year old daughter and our 6 year old son and our guide was Brewer. Upon mounting his horse, the 6 year old was unsure. Then he started saying he wanted to get off and not go. Brewer stepped in and showed him a few things about his horse and then asked him about school and the other things he likes and before our son knew it we were deep into our ride. The ride was beautiful, the horses were friendly and easy to command. The property had all sorts of animals our kids loved and very nice, clean bathrooms. I highly recommend this business. read more

Just finished dinner and the sleigh ride. The property is away from the city lights. A nice get away. The sleigh ride is about 15 minutes. You can go as many times as you want. I'm really not a ranch kind of gal. But we spent some time here and I found the place truly remarkable. I'll review from two perspectives -- private event and public visit. Private Event - I was lucky to attend a private dinner and evening on the ranch with about a dozen people. The proprietors of the ranch are very personable and the staff was friendly as well. We had a delicious Chuckwagon style dinner, that had everyone going back for seconds. Sitting out in the evening air with a country/americana performer playing everything from Van Morrison to Jimmy Buffet to Willie Nelson was so perfect it almost had to be out of a movie -- maybe something with Julia Roberts and Richard Gere. The ranch is large, and includes a restored homestead and the standard farm animals. Although really, the animals are far beyond standard -- the buffalo loves to eat from your hand and the goats climb the fence to try to get a lick of whatever is in your hand. Public Visit The next day, we went back to the ranch, which is when they are open to the public and serving lunch. There was a cattle ride taking place, others were enjoying lunch and some were on a hay ride. We didn't have time for lunch, but the others said it was quite tasty and served with a friendly family attitude. Finally, we took a tour of the glamour camping site on the other side of the ranch. It's a permanent tent with the cleanest outhouse I've ever seen. A hammock swings by a stream and adirondack chairs circle the fire pit. We will definitely be heading back to camp there for a weekend. I have to say, this place is magical. And maybe I like the ranch life after all! read more

This place was phenomenal. The hospitality of everyone working here and the accompanying nature of everyone working here made this the best experience. We not only received great service the night of but for months in advance trying to coordinate our trip with their opening night. Lisa was in constant contact with us helping to arrange our sleigh ride experience. We absolutely loved everything about this from the steak chili to the full "cowboy" buffet, desserts, and 4 Eagle wines. Everyone should stop what they are doing right now and make a reservation and hope and pray that they have Tink running their sleigh run. This was my FIRSTand LAST time at 4 Eagle Ranch. When I called to make reservations for the Wagon Ride Dinner I was told to arrive after 7, dinner at 7:30 followed by your wagon ride. We arrived a little before 7, could not find any employee to direct us, just wondered around until we made our way inside the Grill....found someone at the bar. We were directed to the counter where someone seated us in the dining room. We sat there about 15 minutes before someone came by and said the buffet was ready - -did not show us where to go-- we found our food and headed back to our table. We were expecting to hear Country Western music (this was a western ranch) but we got one guy with a guitar singing a repertoire of songs from light rock to golden oldie's. We never heard any country western. Someone came to our table around 8pm and took us outside for our 15-minute round trip wagon ride down a dirt round alongside the property. We returned and again were given no information - we basically figured it out that we were to entertain ourselves! We were expecting this to be a 2-hour long event - The buffet dinner food was good, but not worth the cost. No way was this worth $80 per person!! ​We have visited the Sleigh and Chuck Wagon Dinner rides at Two Below Zero in Breckenridge - they actually had a show during dinner and the rides went somewhere!! Did the hour ride. It was fine and JD was our guide. Very nice but we would have loved to have learned more about the ranch and the community. Staff super friendly. Vines at Vail is also there. Nice tasting pours and Patrick was super friendly. I bought 6 bottles and was still charged for two 5 tastings. He then said he had a box for me and not until after the fact was I told he was charging me $7.50 for it. Not used to paying for a box or tastings when we buy so much. Best Horseback Riding and very close to Beaver Creek. Well trained horses and knowledgeable guides. We enjoyed the Advanced 2hr ride with LaLa and Molly. Don't let "Advanced" deter you. I ride 1x /yr, and fit in with daughters who ride daily. We were able to trot, and lope as the trail allowed. Less experienced riders were in good hands too. I agree with Shari's review. Way over priced for what you get. Being a vegetarian, I paid $85 for hot chocolate, salad, a baked potato, and bread. I'm sure the chili is good, but I was disappointed that there wasn't another option such as potato soup - anything vegetarian so I wasn't just sitting there munching on stale crackers while the rest of my party went to town on the chili. I also did not like how they made you sit at large tables with other groups. Made for very awkward conversation, because you feel obligated to talk to the people sitting across from you...when really, I just wanted to interact with my immediate family. While the sleigh ride was interesting, it was NOTHING like I imagined it to be. I imagined a 30-40 minute ride to somewhere interesting, with great views. Nope - it was pitch black outside, so you couldn't even see the beautiful horses which were right in front of you, much less any scenery! They just went out into a nearby flat field and came back, for a total of about 15 minutes. I went on two rides, and Tink seemed a little "off" on the first one.....he went on a 10-minute tangent on his life story, and then finally got around to talking about the ranch for the last couple of minutes. Honestly, the highlight of the night was the big fire out back with the provided marshmallows. This place would receive 5 stars if there was a daytime sleigh ride option, and if they offered more vegetarian options in the menu - and even then, I would only pay $50 max! read more

We visited this ranch yesterday and would not recommend it to anybody. They claim that they have a sleigh ride, but we ended up getting a 10-minute tour of a muddy farm on a dirty horse wagom. This place is very dirty on the outside and in the middle of nowhere! Food was horrible and they offer very limited menu compared to the money they charged for it. They told us that they would have fresh chocolate cookies after dinner, however, it appeared that they had bought it from a nearby convenient store. They were hard as a rock. They don't offer any drinks except some powder packets for apple cider in hot water. I can't believe they charge $50-75 for a third-class dinner. And there was hardly any entertainment for kids. The dinner ends at around 9pm, but the restaurant was mostly empty by 8pm as nobody really enjoyed what they have to offer. Beaware of their misleading marketing tactics and stay away from 4 Eagle Ranch! We spent more than $200 for dinner that I wouldn't pay more than $20 bucks!!!! read more

We had a fantastic time with our 5 college age kids-a couple had never been on a horse before! Went on the cattle drive-----it was sooooo worth the extra money! What a wonderful experience! We signed up for the sleigh ride but there was no snow so we had a carriage ride instead, which was charming. The people who work there are all extremely nice and friendly: our kids had a wonderful time running around the premises and letting the longhorn and the alpacas and sheep they had! The food was good. The guy playing the guitar was wonderful as was the guy (Tink) who gave the tour of the land. The smores outside by the fire pit with the guitar playing was perfect!
