We had some work done to fix a sprinkler line which had a leak. It was repaired in less than an hour. I did have a question, and the owner immediately called me and put my concerns at ease. Thank you!! read more

Great experience would definitely recommend. They were on time and a reasonable price for my bathroom sink supply line replacement.

Prompt, courteous, smart. Mason even fixed a problem (occluded hot water pipes in a bathroom) that multiple other plumbers had said couldn't be fixed without re-piping the bathroom or the house. Definitely recommend. read more

As usual, Glenn and the folks at ABP deliver first-class service at a very reasonable price. I had a major installation (whole-house water filter) and Glenn did an excellent job on a complex system. Moreover, he didn't leave until he made sure everything was working (e.g. cleaning out the clothes washer filters). You won't find better service in Austin than with ABP. It's always good to talk to Rick to get the service scheduled, as well. read more

Our go-to for any plumbing issues. We've used them for years with no complaints. Responsive and professional.

Toilet replacement, clog removal, faucet replacement, etc.. These guys have done many different jobs over the years for us, and I have been very satisfied every time. They charge reasonable rates and don't rip you off. It's kind of crazy to be so impressed by people who just do a good job at a fair price, but that's very hard to find in Austin these days. Old school quality work. I highly recommend them. read more

I'm so grateful for Austin's Best Plumbing! I had a plumbing emergency during the last freeze. It was after 5pm - Glenn came out within the hour, took care of the problem, AND fixed a leak on the main line I didn't even know I had. He was super fast, professional, and he charged a completely reasonable rate. I highly recommend this company! read more

Rick and Glenn are awesome! Total pros and very honest! I highly recommend choosing them!

Austin's Best Plumbing was referred to me by a family member who could not say enough about their quality of service and knowledge. I had a need and contacted them. Rick, the owner, answered the phone. He was very helpful and arrenged to have somone come out to the house. He found that the valve in my shower was bad, and recomended replacing the valve with an updated one (mine was 30 years old). They came and efficiently had the valve and other material changed out. There was minimal disruption, and they thouroughly cleaned up after the work was done. I highly recommend these highly trained, experienced, honest, and caring folks at Austin's Best Plumbing. read more

Rick and Mason are the best! ABP does the best work for quite reasonable rates. I recommend them highly. This morning, they replaced a leaky frostproof hose bib and a kitchen faucet, no muss, no fuss. You can't go wrong with ABP. read more

I utilized the services of Glenn and his team for a new hot water heater. I went with a Bradford White brand due to its high rating, No high pressure tactics from this company either! Great prices too. read more

Rick and team have been my go-to for my plumbing needs and questions. Rick has always answered my phone calls and texts, and given much needed advice when the project wouldn't need his company's services (rooter services). Highly recommend Austin's Best next time you have an issue or a project! read more

Austin's Best Plumbing skillfully and quickly diagnosed and repaired my hybrid heat pump water heater for a very reasonable price.

Austin's Best Plumbing is great. They're friendly, professional and do the job for a fair price. Our bathtub would not drain so I called Rick. He sent Glenn who quickly assessed the issue - our 1953 galvanized pipes and particularly the p-trap were most likely corroded. He returned with an assistant the following week and cut our the pipes replacing them with PVC. Sure enough the p-trap was full of hardened, black gunk. Will definitely use them again. read more

Austin's Best Plumbing really is the best! Rick answered the phone himself, kept me apprised about when a plumber would arrive and sent Joe who was very professional and explained his thinking about the best way to tackle the job. He suggested an easy repair to save money for now and see if it works before cutting a hole in the wall. From now on I'll be calling Austin's Best Plumbing! read more

Rick is the best plumber there is. I have used him for years! Was originally referred to my by an native Austinite.

Upon noticing a drip adjacent to an exterior door I called upon Rick for some assistance. He promptly sent the very capable Len over to analyze the situation. This leak apparently stemmed from the February freeze at a weak point where the copper pipe leading to an outdoor spigot which had been krimped when the house was built over 40 years ago had been weakened by the freeze. Len admitted that this would be a challenge but within an hour and a quarter he had soldered in a new section and corrected the problem. Austin's Best Plumbing...an appropriate name for an exemplary company!! read more

Rick himself picked up when I called and offered his valuable time and opinion even when he couldn't come out. He sounded like an honest and reasonable guy and gave us options as to how to approach the problem (newly built house with a clog less than a year in). He even gave referrals to other trusted plumbers that could help us sooner and with different tools. They definitely sound like they know their stuff and their competition. He was extremely friendly and patient with my barrage of questions, lol. I would definitely give Rick a call if you have a clog, he will listen to you and help you through it even if he himself can't get to you in time. How awesome is that? read more

I've used Rick and Glenn with Austin's Best Plumbing for at least five years now and they are marvelous. They give you excellent service at a fair price. I am very happy I've found good and decent guys to help me out. Invariably something breaks down on Friday or Saturday night or some other inconvenient time, but they are always there on Monday to help me out. They are really the best in town. read more

Our drains started backing up and after a few DIY tries, I finally called Joe. He quickly responded over text and came over to take a look, immediately identifying a collapsed pipe w/ tree roots on the city side. We were able to get the city out to fix the issue the next day thanks to Joe! read more

I am updating this review: After hours spend on the phone with the City of Austin and the TX Board of Plumbing Examiners, I got to the bottom of the inspection delay. The Examiners had failed to update Joe Caldwell's insurance information for months, which meant the city could not inspect his work. I tracked down someone who tracked down the head of the Insurance division at the Examiners, the insurance was updated, inspection scheduled, and we passed. I still fault APB for not being responsive to our questions about this inspection for nearly a year, but the core of the problem was the delay at the state level -- not the plumber's fault and he has been very responsive since. I would recommend APB for routine work, not for something big like a hot water heater changeout and do thank them for being far more responsive now. Side note -- progress began w/my initial Yelp review, so there we are. Initial Review: Rick was our plumber for years and was fine with basics, responsive and easy to work with. The trouble came last year when we hired ABP to replace our electric hot water heater. The installation was a mess from the start as it quickly became clear that the crew didn't know what they were doing and left us without hot water over a weekend when they screwed up the job the first time and then still took repeat visits to get it right. Rick offered a partial refund which we appreciated but hadn't ask for - and then never made good on it anyway. In the middle of all this Rick retired, left the business to Joe, who months later we are still chasing to schedule the inspection with the city, important to have for resale. We were loyal customers for years and have been utterly flabbergasted by the lack of professionalism. Do not hire these guys. read more

Hired them for first time to fix leaking outdoor faucet bid, they replaced it and charged reasonable amount. Will use Austin's Best Plumbing again. read more

Rick was the first plumber that responded to me when I inquired about replacing my faucet and fixing a leak. He was transparent with the costs and any extra repairs that might push my total to the higher end of the quote. His price was in line with other quotes I was getting from other businesses. I chose him because of his response time. He also gave me tips on affordable faucets that he recommends for rental units. His business was able to get me in the quickest and I appreciated the thorough communication. Very nice guys that work here. Glenn fixed my faucet in less than an hour and everything looks great. I was nervous booking a plumber, so if you're looking for a reliable service with good prices I highly recommend this company. They are also taking Covid-19 seriously and make the trip as contactless as possible. read more

We've been using Austin's Best Plumbing for the last few years for various jobs and each and every time we've been more than happy with Rick's service and very reasonable rates. Two days ago the hot water heater stopped working and Rick and Co. were able to come out the same day to see if the thing could be salvaged. (I always appreciate Rick's willingness to try and repair items if at all possible). A long time leak had left it rusted out but they were able to get a new one and install it the very next day. This involved no small amount of wrangling on their part and we're endlessly appreciative of them bending over backwards to help us out. Since it was Saturday, Rick was not available but I can tell you that Glenn and Joe do wonderful work. They arrived on time and were willing to answer all of our questions. I can't recommend them more highly! read more

The plumbers from Austin's Best Plumbing are great. We lost our tankless water heater during the snow storm. They were extremely helpful finding a new one and installed it as soon as they could. They were putting in 18 hrs days and were still very cheerful! 5 stars!! read more

Very nice guys! Had a lot of plumbing to be done including a pressure valve regulator, expansion tank for the water heater, replacing hose bibs plus syphon/back flow preventers, and fixed some bent tubing. They got it all done and had competitive prices. read more

Drives like a jerk. Unsafe. Going 10 under in the left lane and then decided to break check me and give me the finger when I passed him.

Rick came from Austin's Best Plumbing to replace a toilet. He quoted us a price over the phone, but said that there could be a range depending on other factors with the installation. He was right on time, polite, and got quickly to work. When he finished the install, he asked what else he could help with and took care of 2 other minor plumbing issues in about 10 minutes. He ended up charging up less than the price he quoted, saying that, "the other jobs were easy ones" and that the toilet had been simple to install with no complications. Rick was honest and efficient - highly recommended! read more

I am a real estate agent, and I use Rick for my personal plumbing issues. He does a great job, and is competitively priced. Just the other day he came to my home to fix a pipe that split during the freeze. He was quick, but didn't hurry even though he had numerous jobs after mine. I also refer him to my clients and they are grateful for his professionalism. Last month one of my clients who relocated from out of state called to thank me for introducing Rick to them. read more

Although I've never had a service performed by Austin's Best Plumbing, I felt like I had to write a review because of how sweet and helpful Rick was. He is a one man show, and is quite busy-but he still took the time to return my call, answer my questions and gave me a recommendation for a company that had more people available to take care of my particular problem. He knew immediately what the issue was, gave me an estimate of what a reasonable price would be to fix the problem, and set me up with a great (also local) company that I was very pleased with. Great guy! read more

I just bought a new house and had some issues with my kitchen plumbing and my dryer vent. Rick was able to fix all of my issues thoroughly, quickly, and at a fair price. He also made sure to run me through several options of how we could fix the issues and let me decide on which option he would do. I'll definitely be using him for all my plumbing work in the future. read more

The best. Just know that they don't have a staff that answers the phones (which adds to costs) and that's good for you. They are honest, do great work. They are great. read more

I've had hit or miss success with household repairs over the last decade. Rick is a hit. He got four stars just for showing up when he said he would, ha! He's very nice, and he and Glenn seemed very thorough making sure everything was safe and sound. I will definitely call ABP next time I need help. read more

Rick is a great plumber. He is honest with his estimates. Been using him for all my plumbing work.

They don't make them like Rick anymore. I'd been struggling with a leaky toilet for several weeks, and after trying to fix it myself and having a different plumber visit my home and replace the entire fill valve and flapper set, I ended up with a massive water bill as a result of the leak. I called several plumbers, left messages, and never received a return call. Finally, I found Rick and I'm so grateful that I did. First, he told me he didn't "want to come all the way out there and charge you $100 if you can fix it yourself," so he walked me through a few trouble shooting exercises. When that didn't work, he arranged to come out between calls and fix it for me the same day. In addition to the unparalleled customer service he provides, he is an extremely adept plumber. If you need a plumber, you can't go wrong with Austin's Best Plumbing. read more

I called Rick at Austin's Best Plumbing when my 9 year old hot water heater died. I called a total of 7 plumbers asking if it could be repaired. Rick was the ONLY plumber who said YES! My first water heater lasted 32 years so I assumed this was a repair issue. I received 3 estimates for new installations averaging $1200-1400. When Rick came to my home the next day, he took one look at the heater and said this can definitely be repaired. He replaced both of the heating elements and was done in less than an hour. It was clear to me that Rick is an exceptional man. He was kind, friendly, patient, professional, and explained everything he was doing. His rates are very reasonable and I will never call anyone but Rick for future plumbing needs!! read more
