As a tea aficionado, where else can you find a wall of affordable loose leaf teas of all differing brands and tastes? I've gotten to try so many different types of tea since discovering this since I can chose the amount I want and don't have to buy a pre-packaged specific amount. I've gotten all kinds such as black, oolong, green, and herbals. Deeeef recommend if you're a tea lover like me. They also have the same kind of thing but for coffee. Their cafe is also pretty decent! Recently came here and got their Mediterranean salad. It includes dolmas, pita, and hummus, as well as the salad. And went and got a side of soup and a roll at their self serve soup area to have alongside it. Everything was very yummy! I do wish they had slightly more plant based/veg options, but they do have a small handful so I don't wanna complain too much. Parking is generally easy and getting out ain't difficult either. All in all, this is my closest location, and I like it a lot!

The produce guy asked me to speak Spanish since it seemed that was what he spoke. The cashiers spoke English ianf Spanish.I was specifically looking for aji dulce peppers , and fresh ciulantro( not cilantro) . I had wanted to make an authentic Sofrita, .these peppers I'm not familiar with but trying to make an authentic Sofrita without substitutions of other available peppers. . When I went in, I grabbed one cart it was stuck in another cart, went on to another cart ... same thing. So finally wrestled a cart free and the wheels are all jacked up veering me off to the left... ugh! I asked the produce man , where I could find the aji dulce peppers and he starts pointing out every sweet pepper ( red, green, yellow) which in his defense are sweet peppers, but not the ones I was looking for). I specifically picked Fiesta because instacart had the peppers listed for Fiesta,. But they did not have them. I . Great fresh produce. Just like any other market, you need to compare prices from the regular grocery store that you use .'some prices were higher than you would find at the larger grocery chains. If there was a fiesta by me I would definitely shop produce. There was also Bakery with a small selection. I bought a pumpkin empanada. It wasn't it as sweet as the Panaderia that I go to, but maybe it was a more traditional taste without a lot of sugar.

Hopefully they will get that side of the building fixed soon. They do great fried catfish here too!!

I can't even guess how many times I've eaten here. I came with my grandparents to pick up oysters and shrimp from the market to take home for family dinners. It's one of those places that feels tied to a lot of good memories. The seafood market has a good selection of fresh seafood, and everyone has always been friendly and helpful. On the expanded restaurant side, you order at the counter and the food is brought out to your table surprisingly fast. They also have a full bar and a fountain drink station. One of the things I love most about this place is that the food is pretty good for the mid range restaurants price. My favorites are the peel-and-eat shrimp and the fried shrimp, but the hidden gem on the menu is the spaghetti mac and cheese. If you've never tried it, you should. Their bread pudding is also huge and easily big enough to share. Families will appreciate that they offer a kids menu. OI hate to admit that I rarely visit anymore, but on my most recent visit, everything was pretty much what I've come to expect over the years. The dining area is not fancy, but was clean, the tables and chairs were maintained, and the fried shrimp was just as good as I remembered. My only complaint was that the salt and pepper shakers were downright filthy. They were dirty enough that I didn't want to use them, which was a problem because that spaghetti mac and cheese screams for a little black pepper. Even with that issue, this is still a place I have a lot of affection for. Good seafood, reasonable prices, and decades of family memories keep bringing me back.

The Tom Yum soup, the seafood fried rice and seafood salad were especially good. I feel compelled to add more to my review after reading several of the negative ones. In reality, it was a masterclass in how to make a restaurant feel busy while somehow being empty. The wait times were absurd, especially considering there weren't people there, which made the whole experience feel less like dining out and more like being held hostage by a very slow clock. The seafood was not good. Not "not my favorite," not "a little off" -- just plain not good. The menu was also bizarre in a way that felt less creative and more like someone lost a bet and had to build a restaurant around the leftovers. And if you're looking for anything dairy-free or gluten-free, good luck. The options are basically "no" with a side of disappointment. It is not family friendly at all, with no options for children. This is more the kind of place where you start questioning your choices before the appetizers even arrive.

Plenty of to fill two people up for lunch and leave the room to be able to try things either within the same food truck lot or somewhere else. We elected to grab coffee else where. The guy working was super friendly and helpful. Even took the trash bag to throw away the shells for us. We didn't ask but the one critique is to include crackers apart of the orders or simply pre crack the claws before you hand out the bag. Got creative with breaking the harder shells. Other than that, food was great, will be back if we come back to Austin.

The man cooking is incredibly sweet and came in clutch when I forgot to order seasoning. I was visiting from a region known for crab/seafood boils and was not disappointed! Crab tends to turn to shreds when it's overboiled, and I was EASILY pulling out nice, intact pieces from the shell, so no worries about that here. If you're in the area, definitely approach the truck even if it looks closed--worth it to double check!

I added an egg, and it made for a healthy, delicious, and satisfying lunch. My husband, however, ordered the gumbo, and that dish was unfortunately disappointing. It was watery, very salty, and came with barely any rice, so we ended up with a lot of salty stew left over. There also wasn't much crab or shrimp, and the seafood we did find was tough and overcooked. Based on other reviews, I can see why Mongers may still be worth another visit if you stick strictly to their seafood-focused dishes. But based on this experience, it felt a little too much like a gamble, so I'm not sure I'd personally rush back.
