That is literally your one job. George is also arrogant, acrimonious and loves to moralize at you like you are sitting in his congregation. It was unprofessional, uncomfortable and frankly offensive. Keep your religious views to yourself, this is a driving school not a place of worship. The cars are another story altogether. Ancient, dirty and falling apart. Every single lesson I was just hoping the car would survive long enough to get me back. It was embarrassing honestly, let alone unsafe. I walked away after spending so much money having learned absolutely nothing about driving. Not one useful thing. I joined Coastline Academy shortly after and the difference is night and day. Being there has shown me exactly how much this school dropped the ball and how little they actually care about teaching you anything. Avoid this scrapyard of a place. Seriously. Go anywhere else.

The instructor, Allan, came across as very intimidating and seemed to have a very specific way he wanted things done. It felt like he believed his way was the only correct way to drive. What bothered me most was that even when my kid was doing something safe and correct, it seemed like it wasn't good enough simply because it wasn't being done in the exact way Allan expected. After the second attempt, where my kid drove well, we still didn't get the license. The whole experience left me with the strong impression that if you want to pass their test, you're expected to first take their classes and learn their particular driving style. It felt less about whether the driving was safe and correct and more about whether it matched the instructor's preferred method. What's interesting is that several of my kid's friends had similar experiences with Allan and described him as being quite mean and intimidating. We eventually went to the DMV and had a completely different experience. The DMV instructor was calm, professional, and actually gave useful tips. My kid passed without any hassle. My advice to parents: if you're going to Travis Driving School just for the license test, think twice. If you do go, I would strongly recommend asking for a different instructor than Allan. This is now the third time they have no-showed for my son's driving lesson. I repeatedly tried calling and left messages, but no one responds and no one seems to care at all. Communication is absolutely terrible. On multiple occasions, they canceled lessons at the last minute without notifying us. We only found out after arriving -- and one time my son was literally left at the school without an instructor. When confronted, they made false excuses, claiming they had called us when they absolutely did not. There is no accountability, no professionalism, and no concern for students or parents. It feels like the owner only wants to take your money and does not care whether students actually complete the course. This place is unreliable and disorganized. I deeply regret choosing this driving school, would never recommend it to anyone, and will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau.

What an awesome experience!!! We drove down from Dallas to take my 16 year old son to do a one day…read morecourse and it was one of the most exciting days ever. They have a really neat program to teach drivers the techniques for rally driving and it works. Wes and Scott were super and really focused on safety and having fun. Their program is focused on showing you what needs to be done, doing the skills, taking a break to let is soak in, and then doing it again. It's very well structured and by the end of the day they were doing the slalom course with a lot of confidence. As for the team, I didn't meet anyone at Rally Ready that wasn't outgoing, personable, and just plain nice. They love rallying, but are genuinely good people. It's not about pulling people in to stack the house, but about teaching a subject which they are passionate about.
