A special thank you to the instructor, Victor, who went above and beyond while working with my daughter. He made her feel comfortable and confident during her driving test, which really helped calm her nerves. His patience and encouraging attitude made a big difference, and you can tell he genuinely cares about his students' success. Overall, I highly recommend Wilco Driving School to anyone looking for a supportive and professional learning environment.

If you are anxious about driving, have experience but need more practice, or have never driven before and starting from scratch, this is the place for you! My kids had Mr. Vinklarek (son) and Mr. Turtultubu (daughters) who were professional, patient, and kind. They actually instilled a love of driving simply by their calm and pleasant demeanor. Both also have a great sense of humor! I admit, this place is still a tad pricier than the others, but you get what you pay for, and isn't learning one of the hardest things you'll ever have to do in adult life totally worth it?

I am not a Christian. I did not sign up for a religious experience. If I wanted spiritual guidance, I would have gone to church, which I won't, because that is simply not who I am. Teach me to drive. That is literally your one job. George is also arrogant, acrimonious and loves to moralize at you like you are sitting in his congregation. It was unprofessional, uncomfortable and frankly offensive. Keep your religious views to yourself, this is a driving school not a place of worship. The cars are another story altogether. Ancient, dirty and falling apart. Every single lesson I was just hoping the car would survive long enough to get me back. It was embarrassing honestly, let alone unsafe. I walked away after spending so much money having learned absolutely nothing about driving. Not one useful thing. I joined Coastline Academy shortly after and the difference is night and day. Being there has shown me exactly how much this school dropped the ball and how little they actually care about teaching you anything. Avoid this scrapyard of a place. Seriously. Go anywhere else.

Quick calls arranged convenient lesson times and a beautiful mini cooper arrived on time all 3 lessons without a hitch. Daughter #2 paid for the 6 hour driving course. No calls, called to schedule waiting on the phone for 10-20 minutes each call. Web site doesn't allow for scheduling. After 3 weeks of back and forth finally booked only spots available 7am Tuesday's. 3 weeks?!?! Mid October they said they had limited spots and to call back beginning of November. I did, terrible options. December, due to timing, I was pretty forced into Tuesday 7am... Tuesday comes and while on time the car wasn't even a Mini Cooper! This is important as we have a Mini Cooper and the whole reason we chose this loser outfit so she would be familiar and comfortable during the test. So what do they do instead of righting this - try and sell me the additional driving test package! I think their drivers are bailing which allows for limited spots. They are losing business and having to go to cheaper vehicles. Dying outfit and would not recommend.

Basically, an incompetent instructor who would simply abuse her students. To add to this, the company stopped offering classes in Austin. I had asked for a refund for the classes I had already paid for only to be charged for two more classes. Ergo, I have ended up paying them - 4 classes worth of money- to not teach me and to be racist to me! Truly a terrible experience here. Its practically impossible to get hold of them now. If you are a person of color, DO NOT GO HERE!!! HORRIBLE RACIST CHEATS

The instructor, Allan, came across as very intimidating and seemed to have a very specific way he wanted things done. It felt like he believed his way was the only correct way to drive. What bothered me most was that even when my kid was doing something safe and correct, it seemed like it wasn't good enough simply because it wasn't being done in the exact way Allan expected. After the second attempt, where my kid drove very well, we still didn't get the license. The whole experience left me with the strong impression that if you want to pass their test, you're expected to first take their classes and learn their particular driving style. It felt less about whether the driving was safe and correct and more about whether it matched the instructor's preferred method. What's interesting is that several of my kid's friends had similar experiences with Allan and described him as being quite mean and intimidating. We eventually went to the DMV and had a completely different experience. The DMV instructor was calm, professional, and actually gave useful tips. My kid passed without any hassle. My advice to parents: if you're going to Travis Driving School just for the license test, think twice. If you do go, I would strongly recommend asking for a different instructor than Allan, as my kids friends had better experiences without him. Based on our experience, I would not recommend Travis Driving School for the test-only option.

Community Truck Driving School!!!!…read more Community School was a great place to learn. My instructor, Mr. Mike , went above and beyond to teach us and prepare us for success. If you want to get your CDL, I highly recommend this school. Go in with an open mind and be ready to learn. Pay attention to everything that's shown to you. It doesn't matter what you think you already know--whether you've done it before, had a license in the past, or learned from someone else--be willing to learn the right way and focus on safety. After you pass, it's up to you to stay responsible and safe. If you don't, you won't keep your license for long. The only issue I noticed is that some students didn't show enough respect to the instructor. A few acted immature and had big egos, which made it harder for everyone to learn.

In July of 2025, my company, On-Site CDL Exams, entered into a signed services agreement with Community Truck Driving School to provide DOT physical examinations and urine drug screenings for their students. Under the agreement, payment was due at the time services were provided. Unfortunately, nonpayment became a recurring issue throughout the relationship. Multiple invoices went unpaid for months, despite repeated reminders by text, email, certified mail, and formal demand. A good-faith grace period was provided, but the payment delays continued. As of my final demand, Community Truck Driving School had more than $2,000 in unpaid invoices for services already rendered, exclusive of additional contractual charges or collection costs that may apply. After a formal demand letter and a final cure deadline, payment was still not made and communication remained minimal. In my experience, the issue was not a misunderstanding; it was a prolonged pattern of delayed payment & nonpayment, poor communication, and failure to resolve outstanding obligations after services had already been performed. For any student, vendor, contractor, or business considering working with this school, I would strongly recommend extreme caution - or better yet, a different option. Based on my experience, Community Truck Driving School was not a reliable or professional business partner.
