My older brother was pretty sure it was really for him. So I didn't get to ride it nearly as much as I'd have liked. But I did ride some and liked it a lot. Forward 30-some years and my son is in high school/college and needs transportation. I buy him a Yamaha Virago 250 and ride it a handful of times. Forward another couple of years and I decide to upgrade the kid's Virago to a new Triumph Street Triple 675. I ride it up and down our country road and decide it's pretty fun--as in a blast. I took the advice of Paul, the sales guy at Woods Fun Center, and signed up for Jude's Intermediate class. I'm pretty nervous about it, but I show up early, get some confidence on (just riding the bike all the way to Elgin pumped me up a bit) and was ready to go. I learned A TON. Jude is a top-notch instructor and clearly put a lot of work along with the other designers of this course. They created a really worthwhile, action-packed day of skill- and confidence-building that really made the money spent a bargain. Face it--riding motorcycles is a dangerous game however you look at it. But framed in the context of living in Austin traffic-hell Texas, I'm signing my son up for this class and I encourage any rider to do the same. It was clear to me that the other guys who took this course with me--seasoned riders one and all--came away with the same impression as I--that they really benefitted a great deal from Jude's instruction and challenge-coaching.

Keep your religious views to yourself, this is a driving school not a place of worship. The cars are another story altogether. Ancient, dirty and falling apart. Every single lesson I was just hoping the car would survive long enough to get me back. It was embarrassing honestly, let alone unsafe. I walked away after spending so much money having learned absolutely nothing about driving. Not one useful thing. I joined Coastline Academy shortly after and the difference is night and day. They have a really neat program to teach drivers the techniques for rally driving and it works. Wes and Scott were super and really focused on safety and having fun. Their program is focused on showing you what needs to be done, doing the skills, taking a break to let is soak in, and then doing it again. It's very well structured and by the end of the day they were doing the slalom course with a lot of confidence. As for the team, I didn't meet anyone at Rally Ready that wasn't outgoing, personable, and just plain nice. They love rallying, but are genuinely good people. It's not about pulling people in to stack the house, but about teaching a subject which they are passionate about. This is now the third time they have no-showed for my son's driving lesson. I repeatedly tried calling and left messages, but no one responds and no one seems to care at all. We only found out after arriving -- and one time my son was literally left at the school without an instructor. When confronted, they made false excuses, claiming they had called us when they absolutely did not. There is no accountability, no professionalism, and no concern for students or parents. It feels like the owner only wants to take your money and does not care whether students actually complete the course. This place is unreliable and disorganized. I deeply regret choosing this driving school, would never recommend it to anyone, and will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau.

We enrolled our daughter at Hutto Driving School back in November 2024, and while I'm sure the…read moredriving instructors are fine or even great at their jobs, the school's scheduling system is a complete joke. The ongoing problem is that they only allow you to sign up for two time slots at a time, which is a huge limiting factor, but the real issue is the availability. The only free slots they offer are between 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM during the week and the remaining 5pm to 7pm and 7pm to 9pm are always taken.....Completely unrealistic since our daughter doesn't get out of school until 4:20 PM and we don't get off work until 5pm. On top of that, even when slots do open up, they fill up almost instantly, and by the time we log in to try and grab one, they're gone. It's incredibly frustrating to deal with this constant battle. I'll give them credit for having some slots occasionally free up, but the process is so rushed and unreliable that it's practically useless. Overall, the school and instructors might be great, but they clearly don't offer enough time slots to accommodate students like my daughter.
