Pack your patience or wait until they open the inside of the restaurant. The food was delicious and my order was accurate. I was not anticipating it to be with the amount of people that were waiting in the drive thru. I waited over an hour. I got the fried wing platter with Mac and cheese and candied yams as my side. The wings were delicious. The Mac and cheese was well seasoned. The candied yams were not overly sweet. Overall I was pleased with the food. The staff were friendly and did not seemed to be stressed out with the long line. The slow service I hope will improve once they get up and running at full capacity. I got the turkey wings, mash, greens, and yams. The cons: I was underwhelmed by the greens as there was no distinct flavoring and very bland (not Smokey, not tangy, nothing...). I am also glad I got the gravy on the side for my mash as it tasted like the pot it was made in was scorched at the bottom and indigestible. Pros: The turkey wings were to absolutely die for! The portions were great, the food was well seasoned and we all had plenty to take home. It was our first time and everyone was very pleased with the food. There were a couple of hiccups but the staff immediately remedied everything which is what you would expect for good customer service. The establishment wasn't anything special but it was clean. Oh man this food is gooooooood! My sister and I stopped by Aunt Berta's during a road trip through Delaware. The staff were so welcoming and friendly, and it was clear that the restaurant was a much-loved staple in the community. I had a chicken tenders meal, which came with two sides. I chose a smaller (kids) version of the meal, which translated to two chicken tenders. Never have I ever had a server say to me: "the chicken fingers will take a few minutes because we make them fresh to order." Oh my goodness, was it worth the wait! The seasoning in the batter was delicious. They may have been the best chicken tenders I have ever had. I chose mashed potatoes and green beans for my sides. The mashed potatoes were flavorful and perfectly cooked. The green beans were fresh and stewed nicely with some potatoes. My sister had the mac and cheese, which she said was delish and full of flavor. She also had some of the cornbread, which complemented the meal well! For all of that food, the tab was $12, which means we got better quality food for less than any of the nearby fast food competitors. Some people add sugar to collards to cut the bitterness, but if you know how to cook them, you don' need sugar especially when you can taste sugar when you are eating them.
