It's a small place, and the music can be a little loud, so best for a smaller, intimate group of diners. Cocktails were solid --- my friend ordered the Winter White Cosmo (which uses white cranberry juice), which was delicious, and I chose the Lady in Red, a vodka drink featuring hibiscus and elderflower which was yummy as well. We started with the cornbread and the brussels sprouts. The cornbread was good, though the texture was more dense and less crumbly than I expected... and though it's pitched as "sweet and spicy," the emphasis is more on "sweet." The brussels sprouts with fig-balsamic glaze and parmesan were delicious, though! My friend ordered the gumbo, which she enjoyed but noted it was quite spicy! I chose the salmon, which is cooked en papillote with a banana leaf and served with a salad of arugula, bell peppers, mango, and papaya on top. The salmon texture was perfect, and it was a delicious, lighter option for dinner. Overall, the food didn't blow my mind, but it's such a fun and welcoming atmosphere that I would definitely go back.

The flavorings on my green beans and cheese on broccoli was good. The cocktail was tropical which I like and I definitely didn't want to have more than one. I liked the number of options available, especially for a from scratch kitchen. There aren't too many places in the area open past 10' PM for dine in except for Applebees and a diner probably. So I might come here for that alone.

What a delightful evening last weekend at Cheddar's! Think of a cozy, no fuss family…read moreatmosphere..Our server Maureen was so attentive and helpful. We never had to look for her to top off our drinks or to bring us anything. All of the food was delicious. From the honey butter croissants to the onion ring appetizers to the entrees (ribs, steak bites, country fried steak), to the desserts (apple pie and ice cream and carrot cake). The onion rings were some of the best that I have had, not greasy, not overly seasoned, and nice and crispy, and so many for the whole table...and the carrot cake, apple pie and ice cream made a tasty end to a really good meal...Hefty portions and reasonable prices. What more can you ask for? - The online option to join the wait-list did not give an arrival option. When I reserved our table when we were about 20 minutes from the location (we were traveling from Baltimore) our table was ready earlier than expected. I called to alert the staff that we were delayed and was told to just check in when we arrived. Unfortunately we still had to wait about 1/2 hour for our table when we got there. - Although delicious, the steak bites were over seasoned and quite salty. Thank goodness the mashed potatoes were able to balance it out somewhat. All in all, I would definitely come again to try out some other menu items.

My job had a work conference in Delaware at the Clarion Belle so I decided to have dinner here…read more The restaurant is downstairs, next to the lobby so its very convenient. I ordered the BBQ Chicken Sandwich with sweet potato fries, and a side salad with Italian dressing. The chicken was tender and delicious. A bit on the thick side, so I had to cut it to break it down, but I am not complaining!! The potato fries were amazing! They were seasoned well with salt, pepper and maybe Italian spices. My co-worker ordered the Pretzel bites with Queso cheese dip. Everything was delish. The service was excellent!! Our waitress was very friendly, had a great sense of humor, cracked jokes and provided great hospitality. She really made us feel at home. Excellent service. We sat next to the bar area and watched TV on the big screens while we dined. Casual style restaurant. The next morning, I had the breakfast at the complimentary breakfast bar for those staying at the Clarion Belle. I had scrambled eggs, sausage patties, bacon, home fried potatoes, waffles, and hot coffee. Yumm!! The breakfast was impressive. There were so many other options that I did not try. I was happy to stay at the Clarion Belle.

Once I saw the spread I could see it was pretty much a typical hotel Continental breakfast. Eggs, ham, breads/bagels, etc.., Over all the food was good. They did have 2% milk too, which was a plus. For FREE breakfast I'd give the meal a good 4 stars. Unfortunately the experience was washed more by the "service" than the food. I'm an adult. Not the smartest one out there, but I can navigate a breakfast buffet as well, if not better, than most. Judging by the demeanor of the lady working the buffet, this has been a difficult filled morning. There was what I gathered to be a womens Lacrosse team filing out of the dining area as I came in. When I went to the "buffet" there was one straggler from the team plating up. Nurse ratchet, as I deemed her, told the lady she can't take food out. The lady replied "Oh, ok... Ill just wrap it up and take it with me". I can see how this employees day had been so far. I plated up and put some toast in the toaster. I stood and watched, as I hate burnt toast. I touched the top of the toast to make sure it wasn't well done, and Nurse Ratchet yells from the hostess stand that the blue light will go off when it's done. I assumed it would pop up too. It did. My toast was a little burnt. I went to find a table among the disaster area left by the lacrosse ladies. As I walked by the hostess stand she was on the phone with some one explaining how, and I quote, "ridiculous" this situation is. I felt for her. I really did. But her frustration, and it showing, was a little too much for me. I of course left a $5 tip for clearing my plate. I doubt others had. Maybe I see why the one lady wanted to leave with her food.

It was bad enough that I rarely leave one-star reviews, but that night earned it. Fast forward to tonight--and this felt like an entirely different restaurant. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was calm and organized. The host stand was under control, we were seated quickly, and service flowed exactly the way it should. Orders were taken promptly, drinks came out fast, and the food arrived hot and fresh without a long wait. The staff was friendly, professional, and engaged. No tension. No confusion. Just solid, efficient service and the comfort food Cracker Barrel is known for. Because of this visit, I'm taking down my original review. The issues I complained about were real at the time, but they've clearly been addressed.
