So I wanted some fried seafood , and I thought I'd give this place a try after reading some pretty good reviews online? So I basically ordered the popcorn shrimp, the fried, full-size shrimp, the calamari rings, fried, the tilapia fried, and the catfish fried, and some chicken fingers fried and some fried oysters.... So you can tell everything's fried, including the Cajun fries and the onion rings. I also ordered coleslaw, and some boom boom sauce, tartar sauce, and house ranch! So I received everything about 30 to 45 minutes delivered by DoorDash, and I was very happy with a delivery from a very professional and mature driver. Everything was packaged very nicely in Styrofoam - one use disposable cartons. The fried batter is on all the seafood is very nice and it's crispy , not too thick , and it's not too salty and definitely not too spicy! Really good choice of batter for this fried seafood I ordered. First of all the coleslaw is fantastic, nice and sweet and everything in there is super fresh. This coleslaw might be better than coleslaw @ KFC. The Cajun fries are crinkle cut fries and they taste good , but they're nothing special. The onion rings are actually very good with a nice batter and they come in various sizes and the onions are sweet and fresh, and I would definitely recommend the onion rings. The boom boom sauce is maybe a combination of like French dressing and Sriracha , and spicy. The housemaid ranch is classic ranch flavor maybe a little bit of buttermilk involved, and very satisfying, but Not the best ranch I've ever had, but you won't be disappointed.... The fried tilapia is delicious and neutral, and a very nice batter on the outside and it's very satisfying. The catfish is a home run, because catfish is delicious to begin with and it has that nice batter on it that they provide here at this Cajun style, seafood house, and it is just a 10 out of 10 every time in taste! I got three nice size pieces of catfish, and it was very fresh, and it was definitely the highlight of my order, and I ordered a lot of stuff. If you like catfish, you'll love this catfish! And I bit into the fried shrimp, which was very nice and big about a 16-20 size shrimp, and was very nice and spongy and fresh. Then I had the popcorn shrimp, which was very small with a tail on, and tasted good, but it was kind of boring and it would probably make a better kids meal than a meal for adults or a appetizer? Don't waste your time with the popcorn shrimp unless you want it for a young person who enjoys that kind of thing, go for the big regular normal shrimp! Don't forget I got some homemade tartar sauce with this order, and it was fantastic and a little tart. Then I bit into the calamari rings, which were very neutral, and not fishy, tasted very fresh, and the batter they use was very appropriate for calamari, and this seafood dish will Not disappoint your need for Squid.... My only complaint is that I didn't get enough of a big portion, the portion was kind of a small, and I wish I had more of it, but it was the" lunch portion".... So you might wanna order two of these if you love fried squid. This is not a octopus, it's calamari- squid. And I ordered the mozzarella sticks and oh boy are they full of mozzarella with a great cheese,Pull, at least two 12" rulers from your face, but I will say the only complaint here is I asked for marinara sauce, and they gave me something that tasted like salsa made in the house , and it's definitely not marinara or pizza sauce! I also ordered a six piece fried chicken wing with my choice of sauce, and I got lemon pepper, which was very delicious, but not the very best lemon pepper seasoning I've ever had!! I've had better lemon pepper, chicken wing places, and you know the name of those places!? So if you want chicken wings, get them somewhere else, this place is all about seafood. Don't forget their coleslaw is 100% awesome! So finally, that brings me to the only disappointing seafood that I got, which was the fried oysters, and they were small, and you can tell they were out of season and not local, and they were not big and meaty and juicy, they were small and greedy and very fishy or gamey - however, you wanna say it". The fried oyster should not be served at this restaurant unless they're local and in season, because it makes it look like this restaurant doesn't understand proper and awesome Friday oysters? When fried Oyster or Clams are fresh and in the season, and I'm an expert because I grew up with them in Maryland, caught locally every week, they can be the number one seller on your menu and bring many people from all a round , and from far away, just to get these oysters and clams, if they're done right and fried in the right batter? But they have to be fresh and local. The oysters are an inferior product, and taste bad on this menu..... I ordered mine with a Pepsi, and a total of my order came to about $105. The food was ok. The snow crab tasted water boiled and not necessarily seasoned. The restaurant was slow my self and one other table so there was not a long wait. However, there was an appealing smell as soon you hit the door that lingered the entire time. After receiving my food service disappeared. I could hear them in the back but no one checked on me or cleaned the table that had been abandoned for over 10 minutes. When they finally came to give me my check there was no offer to double bag my leftovers which is common so the shells won't pierce the bag. Not the best experience. Ive eatten from this place quite a few times and each time I just feel the quality of the boil bags decline. Dont get me wrong their fried foods are good but the boil bags have been extremely disappointing the last 2 times Ive had them. I just had one 2 days ago and was so disappointed. The sauce is super watery. I always get the two claws sauce but the sauce is so runny, all you taste is the butter and nothing else. I request the sauce but thicker but it never is. Also, the sauce usually sits at the bottom of the bag, not even mixed in with the seafood. If I got this mail while I was at a restaurant, I would send it back and leave. I ordered a lb of shrimp with the heads off. I got just that. JUST that. The shrimp wasn't precut, nor was it deveined so you had to go in there, with sauce all over your hands so you can remove the crap from the shrimp that you paid extra to have the head cut off. You'd think they'd take care of the rest. Aside from that, the sauce it came in was way too salty, even by my standards. Two Claws would be a 5/5 if they de-veined their shrimp. That's the only change they need to make. Wait, that's a lie. They should sell their seasonings/sauces by the bottles. Their Garlic Butter boil is one of the best I've ever had and I often want to use it on other foods that they do not offer. The spicy Boom Boom sauce pairs well with pretty much any fried appetizer. The Mister asked me what I wanted and like any other seafood lover, I decided to end 2019 by dining here. I must say, it was a NYE well spent. We were seated quickly when arrived. Not too sure how crowded it gets, but there were lots of patrons and take out orders. Got 3 appetizers. I would skip the Wings from now on, but I enjoyed the Calamari and Cajun Fries. We opted for Combo A. Which comes with black mussels, crawfish, and headless shrimp. Great portion to share between the two of us. Only downside is they only served one piece of corn. You can ask for more at an additional cost. Not too bad for an Asian Cajun place in Delaware. I've been yearning for one since moving out here! Service was great and our bill was very reasonable. First time here! It was a nice environment and the food was good as well. I noticed that there weren't a lot of waitresses/waiters, I think I only counted 3. The only downfall to me was that I've been to restaurants like this before and we are normally offered combo options where a combo includes a combination of 2 or 3 types of seafood, then the additional items. Whereas here, you have to order the seafood separately by the half pound or the pound. I had the black mussels, shrimp with no head, king crab legs, sausage, corn and potatoes with the signature sauce and medium heat. It was ALOT of seasoning which I loved. I understand breading fish is the AMERICAN way, but I would prefer a thinner battered fish. The breading overpowers the taste of the fish. I ordered fried whiting with Cajun fries. Hubby ate catfish with onion rings. Service was fair. Nothing negative to report there. Wait was a little long but average for a Saturday. We arrived around 7:45pm and were eating at about 8:45pm. Delicious!!! We stopped here while driving from NYC to Baltimore and we were so glad we did!! We had wings, crab legs, mussels, and shrimp. The portions were enormous, and even though we were very hungry, we didn't finish our food. The food also came out within minutes, I was impressed at how quickly it was ready, coming to our table piping hot. Wish we lived in the area as we would be regulars!! New restaurant in the area and I was anxious to check it out. I've been waiting to find crawfish in Delaware for FOREVER! I've tried it twice just to get an idea of what they're working with. They have assorted music playing and the decor is SOOOO CUTE!!! I ordered the make your own combo with 1/2 pound each of crawfish, green mussels, and sausage. My boyfriend had the snow crab legs shrimp with no head and the sausage. The food is good but overcooked so its hard to open the crab legs and shrimp. We both had the signature seasoning but I opted for hot while my man chose medium. Be advised that they do use artificial butter oil and not actual butter. The bartenders drinks were soo good, I had to know his name. THANK YOU SHAHID!!! As a server you guys should be careful about what customers can see from their tables..the sodas tasted flat, i later saw that they were mostly bottled and most were kept out at room temp. My server Nancy was ok but she filled the water pitcher with faucet water from the hand washing sink station instead of using the filtered water from the fountain. I'd like to mention that while she was filling the water pitcher she was clearly drinking a beer from a clear plastic cup and serving in wedge sandals. It's seems like the place where the servers tipshare because the host came to the table before we even finished eating, to give us the check and stood there while we pulled out our payment, almost like a take out joint instead of full service. TURNOFF. Not a good thing to feel rushed when the restaurant wasn't even busy when we went. Visit two: I called in a take out order. The lady on the phone was hard to understand, probably not the best Idea to put someone on the phone with a language barrier but we worked through it! And she didn't ask me what flavor i wanted before she almost hung up so i had to like rush and tell her my seasoning. Or i probably would have showed up and waited even longer for my meal. When I went to pick up my food I gave my name and she couldn't find my order...after repeating all the orders and finally finding which one was mine, we later realized she didn't understand me and had the completely wrong name with my order. Again this was probably due to the language barrier. I want to love this place sooo bad because the food is decent but I'll keep my distance until they work out their kinks. The Best Crabs We've ever tasted!!! Staff was very nice. For us it was cooked in record time. I like mild spices while she likes the heat so we had exactly what both of us wanted. And a note of praise - I had no idea I had dropped my wallet with cards cash and an iPhone until I wanted to pay the bill.
