The food was good! The service was good as well! I did NOT appreciate the extra "service charge" to my bill for "$26.95" listed as a "crew service charge" which the waitress says is split between her, the cook & whomever else! My bill was over $160, the tip should go directly to the waitress who waited on me. Since when am I the consumer responsible for "tipping" the cook? They should be paid a "living wage" by the restaurant instead of that fee being passed on to me. The tip should've been $34 which again should've went straight to the waitress! I will not be going back to the restaurant! Loud is how I'd describe this place. We were sat in the room with the stage. And man, did the noise carry in there. Even though we were at the furthest possible table from the stage, the lady wailing away up there was drowning out any sort of attempts at conversation. There were other segmented sections to dine. but they were all filled up, and it's pretty obvious why. Food was good. Most tables were doing the crab thing. That's fun for sure, but not for me, not that night. Lot of crackin' for little bits of meat. It does fill the air with the lovely sweet smell of crab + Old Bay, which I admit I am a sucker for (Old Bay wings holla). Most of regular menu is fried stuff - shrimp, clam strips, fish, umm, what am I forgetting? Oysters, scallops. Yeah so any seafood really, fried up, served with fries and 'slaw, complete with the red and white checkered paper and plastic wicker baskets. It's as hometown family restaurant as it gets, and since it's in Maryland by the water, it's seafood oriented. This place is perfect when you don't want to cook on a random weekday night so you just round up up the kids and take the family out. But if you want to just plan a night with a group of friends and crush bushels of crabs all night then I say go for it. read more

I wouldn't urinate on Mick's if it was on fire. I am 60 years old and this was the worst restaurant experience of my entire life. My wife, my brother-in-law, my niece, and a couple other relatives were having a dinner for my wife's 60th birthday on 8/15/26. I arrived late because I had been attending to some other family business. When I arrived, the two vague children at the hostess desk were unable to help me locate my family, and told me that I wasn't allowed to come in and sit with a party that had already been sat. As they were children, and seemed a little confused, I told them not to worry about it and that I would find my wife myself. I walked into the restaurant and sat next to my wife, to have the actual hostess stomp up and tell me that I could not sit with my family. I responded that of course I could, to which she replied that since she sleeps with the owner or something she had the authority to tell me that I couldn't sit with my family. As she was asking me to leave, I suggested that she could go fornicate herself and proceeded to leave. As I was walking by her on the way out the door, she did the whole dramatic "excuse me??" thing so I repeated myself because she apparently didn't understand my suggestion the first time. I have never been treated so rudely in a restaurant in my entire life. This is Amy's Baking Company level rudeness. I hope Mick's goes out of business soon, if for no other reason than to spare others the torment of this human garbage hostess and her incapacity to communicate effectively. Had she said something like "we have an all you can eat here, which is charged by the guest, so I'd be happy to put in an entrée order for you" I'd have been fine. I don't even eat crab. Won't seat a party until every single person is there...the ones that are there could start with drinks and appetizers resulting in a higher tip for server. Below a star. Staci thought I was suppose eat crisp crabcakes that didn't look fresh and moist, those crabcakes was crunchy. I had just brought a dinner two weeks ago and the crabcakes melted in your mouth but not tonight, Staci supposedly refunded my husband money because she refused to have the kitchen cook again. Staci's demeanor was very cold and unapologetic. I ask Staci who the owner was and she said she was but she lied, Michael McNeal is the owner. This is my second time I have been dissatisfied. Thought I would give another chance. Place is great. Staff is great. But they had 2 sizes of crabs today. Small and medium. Again, thought I would give it a chance. So I ordered the medium crabs. Very small, not particularly packed. Matter of fact, 2 had barely any meat. Now, I get that it is still off-season. But here is the thing, they were $5.00 each. That is $60 a dozen. Why are you price gouging? Good grief, those are $30 a dozen crabs during any season of the year. You have way over priced your food for the size and quantity. They were cooked very well and were good. But $60 a dozen! And then on top of that charge a 20% service charge to ensure your waiters and waitresses get tipped. How dare you tell your customers how much they have to tip? Tipping is gratitude for good service and a good meal. It is not a necessary part of any bill. Do better Mick's. What a disappointment. Done. You got me twice, now. There will not be a 3rd. Place was nice inside and service was very good. However warning the crabs were not fresh. We travel all over to crab houses and as soon as she laid the crabs on the table I could tell the crabs were reheated and not just cooked. 4 friends spent $300 , ordered , shrimp , clams mussels and oysters which were all just ok but the crabs absolutely sucked. So 5/31 Michelle and I decided to do crabs. I had an idea of let's do Micks, as opposed to Master Baiters, which is our go to for crabs. We order the AYCE Blue Crabs....and can't wait for it as we need our crab fix. The waitress comes and asks us if we would like to drink. Michelle asks her if she has Watermelon Crush and she says no. She then asked her if she has any drinks with Watermelon and she says yes. We have watermelon crush...ummm...we should have left then. So we both order a Watermelon Crush...with alcohol. She then brings our drinks....which I highly doubt had a drop of alcohol in them. Also they bring out fries which comes with the crabs. We decide to put fries aside so we can get our fill with the crabs. Then here comes the crabs....in a cardboard box...the box is full of salt on the bottom of it and hardly any seasoning on these infant crabs they bring to us. I know it is #2's ....but they needed to be left alone for another year. So we open the very light crabs and there it is folks....empty. All that work for probably a dimes worth of "crabmeat" . I put that in parentheses because what was there taste straight like fish. We both wind up eating 6 a piece and probably only 2 taste like crab. And let me add that our pressure was up....because you had to lick the shells to get any type of seasoning/flavor. We should have ate all the fries they had in the building. So $135.00 later....we left hungrier than we were when we entered from putting in the work opening the shells and still not eating sh*t...or should I say that is exactly what it tasted like. So unless you have a ton of $$$ you want to throw away and like alcoholic/non alcoholic beverages or unseasoned crabs that taste like fish....do NOT even pull in the parking lot. Keep going straight up 40 to Bob Evan's, make a right and GPS to Master Baiters....get some real Maryland Crabs. I've been going to Mick's for several years now, and it's hands-down one of my favorite spots. I love the atmosphere, the friendly service, and the incredible food. Wednesdays are a must for their $10 crab cake special -- they don't skimp! It's all jumbo lump crab, no filler. On Fridays, it's the fall-off-the-bone ribs that keep me coming back. You can't beat the flavor or the price. When I have time to sit, pick, and relax -- especially if you're a crab lover -- I highly recommend the Blue Crabs (seasonal, of course). It's one of the few local places where you can get all-you-can-eat crabs with no time limit at your table. And they're decent-sized, too -- or you can order other sizes by the dozen. I've never had a bad meal or bad service here. The new seasonal staff always has a smile, and Nicole behind the bar has definitely picked up some new tricks! Disappointed that the management here doesn't want to hear the publics opinion and that they are immature to the point that they block people who provide constructive criticism. Made a comment on disappointment of their practice to automatically charge a 20% staff fee to all checks, not even just large parties, but all checks and that they should point this out and they responded and then deleted the entire thread and blocked me. They don't care and have the mindset of "everyone deserves a trophy" in my opinion. Sorry but I feel that if you do a better job you should be compensated better than others who don't work as hard and the customer should have a say in that compensation. People know what they are in for when they take jobs in the service industry, accept those factors and if you don't like them find another job. The Crabs were reasonable I got them after leaving Sisterspace of the Delawear Valley. If I wait to get to nyc to get them they'd cost an are and a leg. Plus I believe they are better from Maryland. The were a great size and very meaty. Bay Blue Crabs were the best. read more

Don't waste your time or money on the special event buffets, like Mother's Day or Father's Day. They give you a two hour limit and you wait 30 to 45 minutes for one order of the crabs. I understand they are busy but they should be prepared for this. We usually have great experiences while dining here. This is so disappointing. Never judging a book by its cover is a perfect example for this pub. Looks nice on the outside but when you walk in those doors, everything changes. My friends and I had to wait 25 minutes for a table. Which isn't bad but then the service was TERRIBLE! We asked for a bucket for crabs 6 times, 6 TIMES! I had to go up to one face to face and ask. This is our second time coming here. We loved it the first time for the all you can eat crabs but today the service was just really poor. We had asked for diet pepsi and they were completely out so we settled for water which took a very long time to reach our table. The crabs were just ok this time. About a third of them had very shriveled up meat inside of their snow crab legs so that was disappointing but we figured it was all you can eat so we figured we'd just get more. Our waiter was very standoffish and we had to wave him down every time we needed a refill except for one time. We were never offered refills for the fries. We also were never offered refills on our waters so I asked for it. Instead he brought back butter and walked away before I could say anything so my husband waved him down again and asked for waters again and we were brought one cup of water despite asking for refills for both of us. I've seen multiple reviews on google where management has responded in a very hostile way saying "you should have asked for a manager while you were here". Some people aren't comfortable with face to face confrontation so I think those comments are a bit unprofessional. We paid our bill in full but won't be returning. read more

We've driven past this place many times over many years. Last Wed. we had to drop my car off for a service down the street and decided to stop in. It turned out that Wed. is Buck a Shuck Oysters! We had 3 dozen between the two of us and also had the 3 dz. order of mussles. The food was great, the service was outstanding, from all the staff we encountered. We will definately be going back! We want to try the All You Can Eate Crabs next time. There was quite a few folks there between 5:30-6:30, but it was not crowded as the place is so big.
